L'olivo Ristorante Italiano in Ratingen

Wir haben ein Abendessen nach einem Workshop genossen. Es gab verschiedene Aperitif zwei davon Alkoholfrei. Anschließend gab es Oliven mit Baguette und Olivenöl. Wir haben uns verschiedene Vorspeisen geteilt und jeder hatte anschließend sein Hauptgericht. Die Gerichte waren köstlich, einzig die Spaghetti hätten etwas mehr al dente sein dürfen, aber das ist Geschmackssache. Zum Nachtisch gab es auch verschiedene Köstlichkeiten. Tiramisu und Panna Cotta haben wir gewählt die Schoko Mousse war leider aus. Es wird auch eine Kochschule für Einzelpersonen oder Gruppen angeboten. Sehr nette Location und gutes Essen.

Wir haben den Pasta Kochkurs gemacht, und das war so ein schöner Abend und tolles Essen, wir hatten echt Spaß gehabt und auch gelernt 🥳🥳

Mein Mann und ich waren hier in diesem kleinen aber sehr feinen Ristorante 😍 zum Abendessen. Alles perfekt, lecker, liebevoll und tollem Service. Kürzlich waren wir dann mit unseren Freunden bei Erwin in der Kochschule. Toll kann ich da nur sagen. Sehr, sehr tolle Erfahrung und so einzigartig. Es war lecker und wir hatten viel Spaß. Wir haben gestern mit unserer Freundegruppe den Italian Streetfood Kochkurs gemacht und wir hatten eine fantastische Zeit. Tolle und köstliche Rezepte, viel gute Laune und Ervin als super sympathischen Gastgeber haben den Abend perfekt gemacht. Danke :)

Das Restaurant ist nett, das Essen ist gut, der Service eher durchschnittlich. Es gibt keinen Salat. Bestellte Speisen und/oder Getränke wurden vergessen und erst auf Nachfrage ohne Entschuldigung zum Tisch gebracht. Auf der Rechnung zum Schluss hat auch das ein oder andere gefehlt. Kann man in der Woche mal machen, ist aber keine top Empfehlung.

Sehr nettes kleines Lokal mit italienischen Essen. Preise und Geschmak sind gut. Wer gerne mal Oktopus als Vorspeise nimmt, sollte diesen hier unbedingt probieren. Prima Variante sehr lecker... Auch gibt es wohl die Möglichkeit Kochschule zu lernen. Nett, lecker

Immer wieder herrlich locker. Für uns Kölner beste Wahl nach dem Konzert in der Friedenskirche. Immer sehr freundlich, dass wir kurz vor Küchenschluss 22:00 Uhr noch leckere Speisen bekommen. Wichtig: dennoch vorher anrufen, ankündigen. Die einfachen Sachen begeistern schon: selber aromatisiertes Olivenöl und die kleinen grünen Oliven.

Wir hatten: Vorspeise: Rindercarpaccio Classico mit Trüffel Hauptgang: Trüffel Spaghettone in Parmesancreme mit frischem Trüffel und ein Gericht der Empfehlung - Kalbsrücken mit Trüffel-Püree, Gemüse und Portweinsauce Dessert: Pistazien Tiramisu Vorab gab es außerdem Brot mit Olivenöl sowie Salz & Pfeffer und Oliven, richtig toller Start. Preise und Portionen passen komplett und geschmacklich war alles auf den Punkt. Wir können das L’olivo zu 100% weiterempfehlen, wir kommen definitiv wieder! 🇮🇹✨

Trieffelspagetti ohne Trueffelaroma Geschmorte Rinderrippchen zeh Falsche Vorspeise zum Tisch serviert

Die Suppe war hervorragend, die Bruschetta auch … aber ich muss noch etwas zu den „guten“ Spaghetti sagen: Spaghetti mit Knoblauch, Öl und Chili. Es sind nicht einfach Eiernudeln mit Knoblauch, Chili und Tomaten … Nichts davon schmälert den Genuss dieses guten Gerichts.

Exzellentes Essen und überaus freundlicher Service. Die angeschlossene Kochschule ist auch sehr zu empfehlen.

Wir hatten einen wundervollen Abend in der Kochschule L’olivo in Ratingen. Die Atmosphäre war einfach hervorragend – warm, angenehm und perfekt, um sich wohlzufühlen. Das Essen war 1A, unglaublich lecker und mit viel Liebe zum Detail zubereitet. Ein besonderes Highlight war der Koch selbst: super drauf, locker, sympathisch und mit echter Leidenschaft bei der Sache. Ein rundum gelungenes Erlebnis, das wir jederzeit weiterempfehlen können. Wir sind auf gut Glück dorthin ohne einen Tisch zu reservieren und wir hatten glaube ich lediglich Glück, dass noch ein Tisch für 3 Personen frei war. Ich glaube eine Reservierung ist dort immer sinnvoll. Leckeres Essen, gutes Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis. Beim Service war man total aufmerksam. Unser Sohn hat sogar noch eine Kugel Eis aufs Haus bekommen. Wenn ich mal wieder in Ratingen bin, werde ich bestimmt dort nochmal essen gehen.

Wir waren gestern Abend nach einem Messetag im L'olivo, genau wie schon letztes Jahr. Was soll ich sagen? Das Essen ist super lecker (probiert das Olivenöl mit Brot!), die Einrichtung ist gemütlich und alle sind super lieb und freundlich! Wir hatten (wieder) einen schönen Tagesabschluss mit fantastischer Qualität und kommen definitiv nächstes Jahr wieder!

Wir haben die Kochschule mit dem Kindergartenream besucht. Der Service war ausgezeichnet, das Essen sehr lecker und die Atmosphäre einladend. Wir hatten einen lehrreichen und ausgesprochen geselligen Nachmittag. Vielen Dank!

Every little detailed is thought in such way that you will feel the place as cozy and familiar as possible. I recommend everything in there, from having a conversation with the owners to eating anything off the menu. Absolutely sublime!!

This little family-style restaurant completely won me over! It’s cozy, welcoming, and you immediately feel at home. As soon as you sit down, you’re greeted with a small platter of green olives and their own authentic homemade olive oil – such a thoughtful touch. We ordered the lasagna and the tagliatelle with salmon and cherry tomatoes, and both were outstanding. You can tell everything is cooked with passion, and you can taste it in every single bite. For dessert, we shared a tiramisu “with a twist” – made with pistachios and topped with lightly salted chocolate crumbs. The flavor combination was absolutely divine. The menu is quite small, but that’s part of the charm. It changes every few days, which makes it exciting to come back and discover what’s new. Every dish feels carefully planned and perfectly executed. The restaurant is run by two Italian guys who are both super friendly and really cool. Honestly, it’s the best Italian restaurant I’ve ever been to, and I recommend it wholeheartedly!

A beautiful, upscale Italian restaurant with a bistro atmosphere. We held a corporate event there with about 20 people. The service was absolutely fantastic, the food delicious, and the location very cozy. Vegan options are also available upon request, which I've rarely encountered as unusual and delicious as this (porcini mushroom polenta on creamed spinach with select vegetables). All in all, I highly recommend this restaurant. Thank you for the fantastic service, this delicious menu, and the incredibly cozy atmosphere! My compliments go to the kitchen, the management, and the staff! A must-visit in Ratingen!

A true gem! High class Italian cuisine, not the regular basic Italian food you sometimes get. Everything was delicious and gorgeous to look at. They pay attention to the little details here. Service was excellent! Our waiter was friendly, fast and we never had to wait long. Prices are slightly higher than in other restaurants in the area but obviously you are paying for the great quality. So it’s worth it! Really enjoyed our dinner here. Will definitely come back.

L'Olivo is my favorite restaurant in Ratingen. The food is absolutely delicious ... I have heard that Chef Ervin is the "king of sauces"... so true! Homemade pasta, wonderfully fresh ingredients, excellent wine... warm hospitality, attention to detail, fair prices. Treat yourself to a truly great dinner; you'll thank me later ;-)

The amazing owner created a special dessert for us by combining two desserts. He's very friendly and speaks French, so what more could you ask for? We highly recommend it.

Eight of us booked the pasta course at the cooking school. We began with a welcome glass of Prosecco in the main restaurant. Afterwards, we went to the cooking school in the back of the restaurant. Chef Ervin Trungu guided us through the course with enthusiasm, heart, and professionalism. Two different starters and a dessert were prepared in smaller groups. The pasta was made together. The atmosphere was informal and cheerful. The result was a sensationally delicious evening meal. We were able to enjoy the specialties separately at a large table away from the guest area of ​​the restaurant. Delicious wine, among other things, was offered during the course. The red wine—a Primitivo from Apulia—tasted very good. After the event, everyone was happy and satisfied and definitely wants to come back.

What a wonderful place for the dolce vita. Authentic, creative cuisine, great wine, cool ambience. I'm thrilled!

Wow. We were invited to a private celebration here and the kitchen and service were everything. Despite the number of pieces, the dishes were on point and we had a lovely time. Highly recommended.

I recently attended my second cooking class. The first was steak and the second was to focus on pasta and create a shared menu; from starter to dessert. You never stop learning! Very committed, great first-class and good quality ingredients. I always think that’s important. Simply TOP! The owner is a professional chef, has worked on ships for several years, which is a hard job - and makes pasta himself!!! Nothing from Barilla and Co. That's his passion. And it's infectious - so it inspires people to continue applying these experiences and hardware. Because he can inspire, is very likeable, a great cook and in the end it tastes good too. An authentic guy and great shop - even just to eat. But it's better to pre-order. Keep it up. An important shop in Ratingen.

Excellent food from starters to dessert. Very friendly and attentive service staff. All in all, a successful evening including small talk from the chef at the table, followed by a spontaneous look behind the scenes at the cooking school, where fresh pasta and saddle of veal were diligently prepared in a friendly atmosphere. We are thrilled and will definitely come back. Certainly also as a cooking student.

That was cheeky - so never again! An unsolicited starter (bread with oil) was charged €2.50. That doesn't work at all! For dessert I ordered the chocolate soufflé. The chef said that he had failed because there was far too much chocolate, so it was crunchy. That's how it was. I can't understand why this soufflé was also paid for in full at the end! It would have been customer-friendly to grant a discount here.

The restaurant has a very nice atmosphere. It's super cozy. The quality of the food on offer is also very good. Everything was really delicious. Unfortunately, the price and portion size don't quite match. Hence a star deduction. The portions are quite small. In addition, we didn't get both the starter and the main course together (4 people), so we had to eat separately. The service staff apologized several times and offered grappa on the house.

Yesterday I went to L'Olivo for the first time with a friend. The atmosphere is super cozy and the service was warm and to the point. The food was great! The chef and owner came to us at the end and showed us the kitchen where the cooking courses are held. We got freshly cooked eggplant with parmesan and bruschetta. Also incredibly delicious! You can tell how much passion goes into the whole concept and I'm already looking forward to taking a cooking course there.

Good doesn't have to be expensive. You are good and recommended.

We were looking for a restaurant in Mitte between two places and decided on Ratingen. We chose L'olivio based on the reviews and were not disappointed. Very tasty food and incredibly warm and attentive service. This is no longer a given today. We can only thank you for the lovely evening and recommend the restaurant with a clear conscience.

We ended up here more by chance... - and thrilled!!! It wasn't the last time we were here. A bit expensive but price-performance quite reasonable.

Anyone who thinks this is a pizzeria is completely wrong. There is authentic, high quality Italian food here. I've been here several times with varying blackheads and it's always been convincing

Auf dem Weg zum Flughafen habe ich dieses kleine Lokal entdeckt und hatte spontan ein herrlich leckers Abendessen. Vitello Tonnato und vor allem der Fenchelsalat sehr lecker. Besonders freundlicher Service, nette Atmosphäre. Leider zu weit weg von unserem Wohnort, sonst würde ich öfter Gast sein.

Popular Italian restaurant in the area. The starter was very good, the rest not so good. The former were full of garlic and the latter was quite dry. The dessert was a real disappointment, the cannoli was definitely not artisanal, you could feel that it was heated, the outside part was very hot and the inside was cold and absolutely not crunchy like a cannoli should be. A little disappointed.

Yesterday I attended the pasta cooking class with my best friend. We prepared great dishes that were also very, very tasty! I really enjoyed having the opportunity to make pasta myself, from the dough to the shaped noodle. A great experience for everyone who loves pasta! Giacomo our chef was very accommodating and kept in mind from start to finish that I couldn't tolerate onions and even prepared me a second portion of bruscetta so that I wasn't disadvantaged in any way. It made me feel really good and it was simply delicious! Thank you very much again! :) The only downside was that yesterday, supposedly for the first time, too many customers attended the course at once, which made it difficult for Giacomo to do justice to everyone. My friend, who initially waited a long time until she could roll out her dough, was not given as intensive instructions and integration as the others. I would like to see better organization for the next courses that take place. It was therefore challenging for everyone to make do with the space and the utensils. Nevertheless, all in all a great experience, I can only recommend it! :)

The restaurant offers A1 service with stars. We can't stop dreaming about yesterday's meal, it was delicious - a heavenly treat for the palate! Edit: There was a different review here earlier We have now given l’Olivo another second chance. (We didn't accept the restaurant's invitation in order to remain objective) The experience was now completely different. The service was absolutely attentive, quick, professional and not intrusive. The food was again first class. We particularly want to highlight the ragú. This is a classic after “Easy to learn hard to master” which l’Olivo succeeds with flying colors. A specialty that is unfortunately served far too rarely elsewhere is the arancino with spinach sauce. Opponents of spinach should also definitely think about it, as it is prepared very discreetly and not bitterly. The dessert was good, but unfortunately couldn't quite keep up with the starter and main course. But we will be happy to get a new opinion on this :-) The price level remains appropriately high for the food. The portions are definitely filling. We'd love to come back. Maybe also for a cooking class.

We were guests as a couple and decided on a 3rd course menu. Overall we were impressed with the food. The ingredients used were of good quality and processed to the same standard. The homemade pasta is highly recommended. The service was very courteous and attentive. We work in star restaurants ourselves and therefore appreciate good food. Kind regards to the team.

Das Vitello tonnato ist zum Niederknien

Wir feiern (eigentlich) jedes Jahr unseren Hochzeitstag in einem anderen Restaurant. Diesmal waren wir hier und es war ein sehr schönes Erlebnis. Der Abend wurde von einer freundlichen, kompetenten und aufmerksamen Mitarbeiterin begleitet. Das Essen (Antipasti Teller / Dorade / Kalbsrücken / Tiramisu / Creme Brûlée) war durchgehend auf hohem Niveau. Der Rosé war auch sehr lecker. Preis/Leistung ist unserer Meinung nach mehr als angemessen. Einziger Wermutstropfen, bei unseren Besuchen in anderen Restaurants gab es immer zum Abschluss ein Digestif auf Kosten des Hauses. Aber das ist Meckern auf hohem Niveau. Wie es aussieht, werden wir auch weitere (Hochzeits)tage im L’Olivo feiern. Als nächstes sehen wir uns mal die angebotenen Kochkurse an…

Wir haben einen sehr schönen Abend in diesem Restaurant verlebt. Ein Essen für 8 Personen, gemischte Antipasti zu Beginn in die Mitte, alle super lecker und besonders zusammengestellt, individuelle Hauptgänge über Fisch, Pasta und Fleisch, sowie einige Desserts in die Mitte auf den Tisch gestellt. Es waren wirklich alle sehr sehr zufrieden. Der Service war ausgesprochen freundlich und aufmerksam, die Atmosphäre im Lokal aufgrund der überschaubaren Größe sehr angenehm. Wann immer wir wieder in Ratingen sind, wir kommen wieder.

Zuerst einmal das positive. Das Essen ist absolut TOP, da gibt es nichts zu kritisieren. Dann hört es aber auch auf. Mir ist durchaus bewusst, dass es aktuell absolut nicht einfach ist gutes Servicepersonal zu finden und die gesamte Situation nicht einfach ist. Was wir heute erlebt haben, war aber aus meiner Sicht nur schwer bis gar nicht entschuldbar. Wir haben erst fast eine Stunde auf unsere Vorspeisen gewartet. Diese wurden auch nur gebracht, weil wir mehrfach nachgefragt haben, ob wir noch etwas zu essen bekommen. Der Hauptgang kam dann relativ zeitnah danach, was OK war. Getränke gab es wenn überhaupt nur auf mehrfache Nachfrage. Das kann alles mal passieren, einen schlechten Tag hat jedes Restaurant. Wenn man dann allerdings die Rechnung bekommt und nicht mal eine Entschuldigung oder das Angebot einer Wiedergutmachung, hört bei mir das Verständnis auf.
