Very tasty food in this busy Italian restaurant. Suggested wines were very tasty but expensive 11.50€. Be careful with this. Water and bread are also offered immediately but this is also payable. We did not accept this. However, very nice and friendly people. The waiter also came to ask what I thought of the wine which I certainly appreciate. The food was tasty, pasta cooked perfectly. The pizza (at the neighbours) also looked very tasty (thick crust). In short, definitely recommended but you have to be able to handle the crowds.

Very nice restaurant situated in a couple of minutes walk from Marienplatz. The food was good with a variety of Italian dishes. Staff was very friendly, helpful and professional.

We were staying next door at the hotel and this seemed like a perfect fit for dinner. The attention to detail, genuine service and personable hospitality has made this a dinner to remember. Each member of the staff served our table and made sure to personally remember us. They offered recommendations, refills and suggestions at will and always made sure we loved every bite we were tasting. It's clear the staff is a family and that showed in the way they serve their patrons. Now the food - I'll keep it short and sweet. 7 stars. Just eat here. 🍷

An absolute insider tip! Il Tenore impresses with excellent Italian cuisine, fresh ingredients and lovingly prepared dishes. The service is very friendly and attentive, you immediately feel welcome. We particularly liked the homemade pasta and the dessert – a dream! The stylish ambience rounds off the experience perfectly.

A beautiful early summer evening, sitting outside in a small, quiet side street off Maximilianstrasse. Fresh flowers on the tables, nicely set. In addition to the normal menu, there was also a good daily menu on a blackboard. Friendly and well-groomed ladies and gentlemen are very committed to the service and are clearly having fun doing it, at least they manage to convey that impression - our waiter Giovanni always had such a nice grin on his face, you couldn't help but like him, follow his recommendations and order something else. The menus feature solid Italian fare, no frills. The food was served quickly and was excellent. The portion size was perfect, leaving room for a dolci at the end. And one more thing: there are Negroni - and so one thing is certain: I found a new favorite Italian restaurant downtown.

This became my number one Italian in Munich after having tried over 30 different restaurants the last 15 years. Everything is in point and our waiter Giovanni is simply the excellent face of streamlined customer service.

They charge 1.90 per slice of bread(10 euro for a small loaf), just putting on your table without telling you it’s outrages price

We had a very nice evening and extremely attentive waiters. However, the carbonara wasn't particularly creamy and was very peppery and the truffle pasta was too oily. But the starters and desserts are even better. Location, ambience and service are at the highest level here!

Very good Italian restaurant that I always enjoy visiting. Incredibly friendly staff, good service and a very nice boss round off the experience. The dishes were always exquisite. This time we had the branzino and the swordfish from the daily menu, and we shared the calamaretti as a starter. It was excellent! Falkenturmstrasse is also a lovely place to sit and is far away from the hustle and bustle of Platzl, even though it's just around the corner. Clear recommendation. We'd love to come back! Thanks.

We were here by chance on March 31, 2025, and on April 1, 2025, we also wanted to come here for dinner on April 2. Unfortunately, it's closed today. We'll try tomorrow. The food is great. The service is fantastic. No tourist rip-offs like some of the more popular brewery restaurants. If we come back to Munich, we'll come back here. The Schindler family from Wettenberg.

A clear recommendation The best pizza in town! Carbonara is almost even better. But the best part was the tiramisu. Incredibly tender and incredibly tasty. The service also left nothing to be desired.👍

Our visit to Il Tenore was an experience in the truest sense of the word, an experience that takes place on the palate. The staff was very attentive, warm and left nothing to be desired. We wanted to stay classic and ordered a margerita, penne al arabiata and pistachio tiramisu. The quality of the ingredients is so noticeable that the taste experience shoots up to new dimensions. The different flavored olive oils were also amazing (fennel was my favorite). Don't think twice if you want to eat Italian, because this is the best place in the whole of Munich, so we decided that it wouldn't be our last visit here and we're already looking forward to the next visit. Thank you PS The Arabiata sauce was so good that there was no sauce left.

Cozy Italian restaurant attached to the Hotel an der Oper that pays tribute to the three tenors (Carreras, Domingo and Pavarotti). The pistachio tiramisu on the plate and the pinot grigio in the glass were very delicious. Fantastic attention... like at home.

We went to dinner on New Year's Eve at this Italian restaurant, they had a special menu. We loved all the dishes, the price seemed very reasonable and the decoration of the restaurant was very welcoming. The staff who served us were very friendly and professional. Highly recommended!

Whenever I'm at the Residenztheater or the opera, I like to go to Il Tenore afterwards. The owner, Salvatore, is extremely friendly and attentive - we have known each other for several years and I feel at home there. The food is of course always great and very traditional Italian cuisine. I'm looking forward to next time.

Basically a nice location where you are always greeted in a very friendly manner. The service is relaxed and very nice, even though we were initially served three meals that others had ordered. Unfortunately, the food cannot keep up with the high price level, as we all found (5 guests). The wines were very well selected and we all enjoyed them. The biggest disadvantage is the extremely high volume - we could hardly understand each other at the table... sound-absorbing material would definitely have to be used here. Since the food is also important to us, we will look elsewhere soon...

We came to the restaurant because there were quite high ratings. The service was good but the food was not tasty. We were upset because we wanted to have a delicious dinner. The food was 2 stars max. I think that if you position yourself as a restaurant with almost 5 stars, the food should match it.

Sitting outside on a beautiful summer evening was super nice, which is just very pleasant in the city center. We also had nice and non-contrived advice about the drinks and food selection.

We appreciated the food but got basically upsold at the end with a 13 euro grappa that we thought was for free as it was just offered at the table. Such practices ruin the experience, especially in an Italian restaurant where you would expect it to be from the house or if not, then maybe told?

Everything was fine at Il Tenore. Attentive service (but also very businesslike), we sat outside on the "terrace" i.e. the extended sidewalk. Nice selection on the daily menu. And the food was really good. The open house wine also tasted great. However, price performance is just about adequate.
