Limbourg in Köln

We enjoyed a five-course Christmas menu here, and it was truly a feast. Every course was expertly prepared, perfectly coordinated, and presented in such a way that you could tell there was a real concept behind it, not just decoration. Throughout the meal, there were little extras as additional courses, which weren't announced beforehand but fit perfectly into the evening's flow and made the whole experience even more enjoyable. What impressed me almost as much as the food was the service. Incredibly attentive, friendly, and present, but never intrusive. Everything ran smoothly, everything arrived at just the right pace, and you simply had the feeling that the team genuinely enjoyed making the evening truly special for their guests. From a culinary perspective, I couldn't have imagined a better December 24th. A truly harmonious evening where everything was just right.

The food was delicious, the service very pleasant, and the ambiance charming. My only suggestion would be to either reduce the portion sizes at the "dimanche de grand-mère" or to offer fewer courses. The food is so delicious, but at the end, everyone just talks about how much there was, how much it was, and how incredibly full they are. I think that's a shame. Less would definitely be more here!

The "Dimanche de grand-mère" (Grandma's Sunday) was advertised with the promise: "Every third Sunday of the month, a lavishly set table awaits you, laden with a variety of specialties in a relaxed, family atmosphere. Almost like being at Grandma's... All dishes are served one after the other on large platters and bowls, giving you a free choice... allowing for a relaxed atmosphere among the guests." However, everyone sat separately at tables for two or four, receiving one unrelated course after another per table, and the food was all quantity, not quality. It's disappointing that the gourmet chef apparently has his day off on the "Dimanche de grand-mère."

A real highlight in Cologne. The food was absolutely top-notch. Exquisite, creative, and interesting dishes. The service was also fantastic. Overall, a truly superb experience.

We had a good dinner, however, the price was too high for what we got. The cale was the vegetarian main dish, and that was just a lot of cale. We were placed first in what felt like a back chamber, but only after asking we could sit downstairs. They forgot one of our courses, so after the petit fours we received this once we asked about it. We received a free glass of champagne but the fact they forgot badly influenced our experience. Finally, we paid €50 for 4 glasses of 0,1L wine. This is just way to much. It was alright, but would not recommend if you experienced other Fine Dining venues.

We had a thoroughly enjoyable evening at Limbourg. The service was extremely attentive and competent, and they took excellent care of us. It was also a particular pleasure to have the opportunity to meet the kitchen team personally, who created an excellent nine-course menu of the highest quality. The value for money is absolutely convincing, and the ambiance is pleasantly cozy. Last but not least, Lena's open and warm personality contributed to a relaxed and easygoing atmosphere. We would love to come back again.

Limbourg, a culinary oasis in the Belgian Quarter. A visit is an experience you'll cherish for a long time. The menus (including the vegetarian option) are miniature masterpieces: perfectly balanced, sometimes daring flavors and nuances, but always harmonious. What truly made the evening unforgettable, however, was the service. Rarely does one encounter such a combination of professionalism and genuine warmth. Unobtrusive yet always present, attentive yet never stiff – and with a charming manner that instantly creates a welcoming atmosphere. You can tell that the team isn't just doing their job, but genuinely enjoys giving their guests a wonderful time. Highly recommended and looking forward to the next time!

Yesterday, I went there for dinner with a friend. We were greeted by name, as I had mentioned my dog, and were shown to a large round table and asked if we'd like an aperitif. Without much hesitation, we opted for the 9-course menu with wine pairings. In a pleasant atmosphere, the attentive and knowledgeable staff took us on a wonderful culinary journey. After four or five magnificent delicacies, a sorbet bursting with exotic flavors arrived to prepare us for the finale, followed by a perfectly crispy roasted goose breast. Afterwards, we enjoyed dessert, coffee, and complimentary Armagnac, and everything was perfect. A round of applause! 👏

The cuisine, service, and presentation of the dishes are clearly of a Michelin-star standard! The lunch menu, in particular, offers unbeatable value for money! Highly recommended!

My visit to the Limburg restaurant was full of high expectations, and the experience was truly magnificent. Each dish was delicate and exquisite. The service was not only respectful and friendly, but the experience also showed. I would gladly return.

Why can you only give five stars? 10 would be at least! The food – beyond creative, delicious, and flavorful! And beautifully presented. The service: just as it should be. Attentive, unobtrusive, and above all, very professional. The bonus: an outstanding welcome from the kitchen. A cute little French restaurant with a terrace in front and behind the building. Located on a side street off the bustling Friesenplatz, it offers creative yet down-to-earth dishes, high-quality craftsmanship, and reasonable (upscale) prices. A varied menu. Good lunch specials. Uncomplicated, very attentive service.

Fantastic! The atmosphere was warm and inviting, the food stylish and delicious. I was particularly impressed by the wine list and Lena's recommendations. The champagne from Nicolas Feuillatte was simply outstanding. Another highlight was the lamb shank – tender as butter, and the sauce was divine! Thank you for the wonderful moments of enjoyment!

We discovered this restaurant about two years ago and have been coming back ever since! Great food, and the menu changes frequently, so you can always try something new! The service is attentive but not intrusive! Yesterday my favorite was the sea bass marinated in elderberry vinegar with cucumber and mango! We'd love to come back.

We went there yesterday with good international friends to eat, feast, and enjoy ourselves...the service spoke very good English, and we felt well looked after and welcome the entire evening, even after the 10th delicious course, feeling well-satiated but not bloated... Fantastic lunch! Focaccia with dip, salad with tuna, vegetable soup, scallop, beef bourguignon and sorbet. Everything is artistic and loving in the Limbourg way. It couldn't be better and especially not for 40 EUR pp. for the menu.

We had the 7 course tasting menu on Christmas Eve. The staff were informative and friendly. The food was absolutely fantastic. In particular the octopus dish was extremely good. Would definitely recommend!

Very fine cuisine...7 courses with wine accompaniment...very uncompromising...very good...enthusiastic...

5 hours. It took 5 hours. Almost an hour of waiting between every course. Our reservation was for 7pm on a Saturday and we didn’t leave til Sunday. The food was good, but it just took far too long. If we started The Fellowship of The Ring when we sat down we would have left during The Two Towers’ battle at Helm’s Deep. It took so long that I left hungry and bought McDonald’s afterwards.

Das Limbourg war nur unsere 2. Wahl, da uns das eingentlich reservierte Restaurant 24 Stunden vor unserem Besuch abgesagt hat. Aber was für ein Glück, es war MEGA im Limbourg! Das Essen ist hervorragend lecker, immer traumhaft angerichtet, die Bedienung war sehr aufmerksam, super angenehm und freundlich. Auf die Allergie einer Person aus unserer Gruppe sind sie perfekt und völlig unkompliziert eingegangen. Das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis stimmt, wir kommen auf jeden Fall wieder.

Last Saturday we celebrated my birthday with an excellent dinner in the quiet and beautiful courtyard. We had the two menus in the 6-course version and were completely thrilled. The wine pairing was also excellent! Just like the service!

We had a wonderful evening in Limbourg last Saturday, everything was perfect. The service in particular was very attentive and made all of our wishes possible. A big shout out to the chef, who responded flexibly to allergies and intolerances and thus guaranteed us a relaxing evening. This meant that we and our guests were able to fully enjoy every dish. The wines were very well matched to the menu. We won't be here for the last time.

There were four of us in Limbourg - each with the 4-course menu with wine accompaniment (also vegetarian). The menu was outstanding! Everyone raved. But for a restaurant of this level, that's not enough: the service is lackluster at best. The wine accompaniment (“The wine is from Tuscany.” Period). The music is 80s blaring and not so in the background that you can miss it. The ambience is also getting old. With the name "Limbourg" you would expect a reference to Belgium or France, but there are no traces of this on the menu. So in summary: Great food, but not enough to make me come back.

Excellent food that deserves a star paired with warm service in a very cozy atmosphere. We would like to come again.

Die Begeisterung über den überaus gelungenen Abend in Ihrer BelEtage am 11. Mai 2024 klingt bei uns und all unseren 14 Gästen immer noch nach. Wir erlebten in dem geschmackvoll ausgestatteten Raum einen Abend mit exzellenten und erlesenen Speisen und Getränken. Bis zum späten Abschluss blieben die ungezwungene schöne Atmosphäre und die Freude an den herrlichen Überraschungen bestehen. Die freundliche und kompetente Begleitung durch die Bedienung ist professionell. Es bleibt ein unvergesslicher Abend für uns alle. Ein großes Dankeschön!

Unfortunately, quality and sophistication have declined extremely. We were there for the first time nine months ago and were very satisfied. Ultimately, however, the taste of the dishes was boring, the quality of the ingredients was average at best and the service was unfortunately inattentive. The waiting times were quite long. No recommendation (anymore) and the prices are not appropriate. Very unfortunate.

Enjoyed the 7-course menu with a colleague yesterday. Even the greetings from the kitchen... unbelievable! And then every course... explained... harmoniously... high quality... exceptional... service and ambience top. Food is second to none! Okay, I was here with my 17 year old daughter. She doesn't have sitting meat, so it took her a bit too long. But I enjoyed it.

We ate at Restaurant Limbourg for the first time and loved it. For us the restaurant is star level. It is a very good price-performance ratio with first-class products (truffles, caviar, carabinero, Wagyu steak). Special requests were implemented wonderfully. We will come back in any case. We had the four course menu. Unfortunately the main course was neither suitable for Teo nor for me... I say suitable deliberately. The taste took some getting used to, as neither truffle nor bone marrow suits our taste. Service very attentive Food, high quality and you have to expect 100-140 € per person. Depending on the season, you can choose from changing 4, 6 and 9 course menus.

Bestes Restaurant von Köln. Absolut zu empfehlen. Top Weine und spannendes Menü. Der Service war grandios. Jederzeit wieder.

Sehr gutes Essen; prima Service und Ambiente

Leider keine Empfehlung. Essen ist den Preis nicht wert (subjektive Meinung)und die Speisen brauchen unfassbar lang. Zwischen den einzelnen Gängen lagen 40min.. Die Bedienung war sehr freundlich und verständnisvoll. Diese möchte ich gesondert loben und meine schlechte Bewertung geht ans Essen und die dauert der Zubereitung. 2. Personen 420€ - für einen nicht gelungenen Abend. Fazit: Preise sollten etwas niedriger sein und die Zubereitung schneller. Ambiente bekommt satte 5 Sterne.

Ein mit liebe eingerichtetes Restaurant welches ebensolche fantastische Speisen anbietet, dazu sehr freundlicher und zuvorkommender Service der keine Wünsche offen lässt. Sehr empfehlenswert.

Für den Preis von vorne bis hinten eine Enttäuschung. Das Essen ist „nett angerichtet“ aber nicht mehr und nicht weniger. Die 5 Gänge hatten nur wenig Geschmack und waren unter dem Strich eher langweilig. Insgesamt wartet man über 3 Stunden auf alle Gänge, während man hofft noch etwas zu trinken zu bekommen. Der Service ist in Art und Weise unterirdisch. Die Atmosphäre ähnelt eher einer Trauefeier. Schade, denn die sonstigen Bewertungen hier lassen anderes vermuten.

Tolles Lokal mit super Service und sterneverdächtigem Menü! Wir waren zum ersten Mal da und waren sehr schnell begeistert. Super Weinberatung, tolles Ambiente. Der Gruß aus der Küche war schon ein Gedicht und so zog es sich durch den Abend. Dafür, dass der Laden nicht mal halb voll war, hat es etwas lang gedauert, aber wir sind sehr glücklich nach Hause gegangen und kommen sehr gerne wieder!

Wir waren zu zweit hier for einen mädelsabend und es war rundum gelungen. Wir saßen in der oberen Etage („Wohnzimmer“) und bestellten das 6-Gang-Menü. Unsere Servicekraft war wirklich fantastisch. Sehr lustig, authentisch und nicht zu spießig ;-) Auch das Essen (einmal vegetarisch, einmal mit Fleisch/Fisch) war sehr gut! Wir kommen gerne wieder und freuen uns jetzt schon darauf! Klare Empfehlung!

Teilweise waren die Gerichte nicht ganz warm. Zur Toilette geht es am Müll vorbei. Für so eine Preiskategorie hat es für mich nicht gereicht.

Wir waren am Samstag Abend dort. Der Servicemitarbeiter war super freundlich, locker im Umgang und gut in der Beratung. Das Essen wird im Sterne"look" präsetiert und ist auch prima. Zum Steren"geschmack" braucht es aber noch ein wenig. Insgesamt hätte es ein schönes Erlebnis sein können, allerdings waren die Wartezeiten so drüber, dass es nur ok war über alles betrachtet. Da es auf 2 Etagen verteilt ist, macht man besser eine Etage zu, wenn Personalmangel einer ordentlichen Performance entgegensteht.

Immer wieder ein wunderschönes Restauranterlebnis. Tolle Leistung des Teams. Auf der Beletage (1.OG) ein noch anderes Gefühl als unten im EG.

They said they put in the dessert order and after like 40 mins they came back and said sorry the kitchen is busy !!!!!!! A nicely decorated and romantic place. Located just near the Friesenplatz but a million miles away in terms of ambience. we ordered three course rather than the tasting menu and all were delicious. The poster starter was amazing as was the stuffed courgette flower with truffle. The wine list was extensive and fairly priced for the environment. Service was professional and correct. Would be an excellent spot for a date.

Lohnt es sich aus einem verlängerten Wochenende in Königswinter heraus nach Köln zu fahren, um einen schönen Abend zu zweit in einem Restaurant zu genießen? Ja, es lohnt sich, wenn man zum Beispiel ins Limbourg fährt. Wir hatten ein super tolles 5-Gönge-Menu, wo sich das Warten auf jeden einzelnen Gang mega gelohnt hat. Wie das KÜchenteam es schafft in der kleinen KÜche, die einzelnen Gerichte zu produzieren, da würden wir gerne mal hospitieren. Das Ambiente ist perfekt, und es hat uns sehr gefreut, an dem Abend hier gewesen zu sein. Bei nächster Gelegenheit kommen wir gerne ein zweites Mal hierher.

Menü 5 Gänge, gute Zusammenstellung, tolle Weinempfehlung (Kroatien) aber Weinkarte bietet noch viel/ausreichend Auswahl internationaler Weine, sehr netter und aufmerksamer Service, Ambiente mit 1 Abzug weil innen wenn voll besetzt und große Gruppe dann zu laut /Akustik kann verbessert werden. Aber Ambiente ansonsten gut.

Warum kann man bei Google nicht 10 Sterne vergeben oder wenigstens einen Michelinstern? Den hätte das Limbourg auf jeden Fall verdient, denn Küchenchef Alen Radic kocht auf absolut höchstem Niveau. Das 6 Gänge Menue lodeur de laforet, welches wir anläßlich unserer Weihnachtsfeier im Limbourg genießen durften, hat uns glatt die Schuhe ausgezogen. Ein wahres Feuerwerk an Aromen schickt die Sinne mit jedem Bissen und jedem Gang auf eine spannende Reise. Wir waren und einig - so gut haben wir noch nie gegessen. Die Weinauswahl dazu ist weltklasse und preislich absolut im erschwinglichen Bereich. Der Service ist der Küche ebenbürtig Maitre Thomas Linderop präsentiert Speisen und Getränke fachkundig und mit spürbarer Liebe zum Detail. Im 1. OG des wundervollen Altbaus hat das Limbourg zwei Räume die sich gut für kleiner Gesellschaften eignen , einer hat sogar einen inoffiziellen Raucherbalkon. Unten ist es wie oben gemütlich und ungezwungen. Mein Tipp: Schnell hin, bevor der oben erwähnte Michelinstern kommt und es schwierig wird mit den Tischreservierungen

Auweia. Das Positive vorweg - die Bedienung war sehr nett, umsichtig und präsent, es waren allerdings auch nur 3 Tische besetzt. Auch die Weinauswahl ist vernünftig durchmischt und auf einem fairen Preisniveau. Wir hatten das 5 Gänge Menü zu 110€ pro Person. Die Canapés bestanden aus je zwei frittierten Bällchen mit Krabbenfüllung und irgendetwas cremigem, leider viel zu mächtig und geschmacklos. Als Starter, der doch eher anregend als füllend sein sollte, ungeeignet. Danach der Hummer, bei uns aus nicht weiter erklärtem Grund weitestgehend durch Pulpo ersetzt, begleitet von einem viel zu süßen Birnenkompott. Es folgt eine klumpig frittierte Zucchiniblüte im sehr käsigen Teigmantel, von der eigentlich zarten Blüte war leider nichts zu sehen, gar zu schmecken. Das Bett aus Erbsenpüree machte die Sache noch mehliger, der erwähnte Trüffel war zwar zu sehen, jedoch nicht zu schmecken. Die darauf folgende Fjordforelle war im Wirsingblatt zu einer zur Rolle gedreht und gedämpft, in Scheiben geschnitten und leider stark übergart. Der auf der Karte erwähnte Kaviar war nicht auffindbar. Der Hauptgang, US-Beef ohne nähere Bezeichnung, bestand aus einer Ansammlung von einer nach nichts schmeckenden Tranche Terres Major (?) neben 3 undefinierbaren Nocken von Püree, einem sehr süßen Chutney und etwas geräuchertem Rindfleisch. Grausam. Das Dessert bestand aus einer Nocke Eis und einer Nocke Sorbet, beides geschmacklich in Ordnung. Ich hoffe das unser heutiger Besuch eine Ausnahme darstellt, einer Guide Michelin Empfehlung steht jedoch selbst dies nicht gut zu Gesicht und der recht hohe Menüpreis wurde in keiner Weise durch einen adäquaten Wareneinsatz gerechtfertigt. Nachtrag: Leider kann man die Antwort des Gastronoms nicht kommentieren, deshalb hier. Lieber Herr Radic, mir liegt nichts daran, ihr Restaurant schlecht zu machen, aber sie sollten auch versuchen, richtig mit Kritik umzugehen. Ihre Auflistung von Erklärungen, Entschuldigungen und eigener Meinung hilft da nicht. Ich kommentiere grundsätzlich nicht am Tisch, denn da spreche ich mit einer Servicekraft, die in ihrem Fall sogar sehr umsichtig war. Außerdem möchte ich in der Regel einen schönen Abend mit meiner Begleitung verbringen und keine Diskussionsrunde starten. Weiterhin viel Erfolg!

Hübsch angerichtete Teller mit schmackhaftem und sorgfältig zubereitetem Essen werden hier serviert. Dazu kommt ein flotter und sehr aufmerksamer Service. Das alles in einem gemütlichen, romantischen Ambiente. Die perfekte Adresse zum feiern zu zweit. Wir kommen auf jeden Fall wieder!

Wir hatten einmal das 5-Gang-Menu veggie und einmal mit Fleisch. Begonnen wurde mit einem Gruß aus der Küche, kleine Aracinis. Wir hatten die Weinbegleitung gewählt und hatten dabei Sonderwünsche. Der Service ist darauf sehr freundlich eingegangen, natürlich mit dem netten Hinweis, dass dann vielleicht nicht jeder Wein optimal zum Essen passt. Das Essen war zum einen schön für das Auge angerichtet und schmeckte hervorragend. Nach dem Dessert gab es noch Macarons. Der Service war sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend. Das einzige was ich zu "bemängeln" hatte, ich hatte als Aperitif einen Aperol Sprizz bestellt, bekommen habe ich einen Campari Sprizz. Da wäre ein vorheriger Hinweis nett gewesen.

Vielen Dank! Wir hatten einen fantastischen Abend. Wir waren anlässlich meines Geburtstages letzten Samstag mit 13 Personen dort. Toller Service gepaart mit erstklassiger und kreativer Küche. Das Team hat sich sehr viel Mühe gegeben und alle waren begeistert. Eine absolute Empfehlung!

Hervorragende Gourmet-Küche. Das 5 Gänge Menü war abwechslungsreich, kreativ und kam mit interessanter und passender Weinbegleitung, serviert von freundlicher und humorvoller Bedienung. Einzige kleine Anmerkung, die aber niemals ein Grund für Sternabzug wäre: die Muscheln in Gang 3 hatten noch ein klein wenig Sand, da könnte man vielleicht NOCH genauer hinschauen. Sonst wirklich ein wunderbar rundes Ding! Danke für den schönen Abend und bis bald:)

Kreative und unfassbar leckere Küche! Wir hatten das vegetarische 5- Gang Menü. Jeder einzelne Gang war geschmacklich auf höchstem Niveau und auch optisch ein echter Hingucker. Aufmerksamer und sympathischer Service. Unbedingte Empfehlung!

Es war ein toller Abend mit hervorragendem Essen, einem zurückhaltenden, aber stets aufmerksamen super Servic. Die Menus waren sehr gut aufeinander abgestimmt und kulinarisch ein Highlight, optisch sowie auch geschmacklich. Wir konnten draußen im schönen hauseigenen Innenhof sitzen. Vielen Dank an das ganze Team für den tollen Abend und wir kommen ganz sicher wieder!!!

Top Service, super Essen und ein gemütlicher, kleiner Innenhof. Wir sind heute spontan vorbeigekommen, da unsere Reservierung für ein anderes Restaurant kurzfristig abgesagt wurde. Nach dem schönen Abend kommen wir sicherlich gerne wieder. Vielen Dank.

Unglaublich was aus dieser kleinen Küche mit dem freundlichen Service in den Gastraum kommt. Sehr lecker und ganz klar mit viel Liebe gemacht. Wieder ein Tipp von Michelin und dessen Beschreibung, die zu 100% passt. Bravo!

Das 4 Gänge Menü mit Weinbegleitung war absolut top. Visuell und geschmacklich einfach gut. Die Location ist gemütlich und man fühlt sich direkt wohl. Komme gerne wieder.

Wo kommen die sehr guten Bewertungen her? Wir waren dort an einem Samstagabend und das Lokal war voll besetzt. Es gibt nur Menu für 80/100/120 € Wir nahmen die 4 Gänge für 80€ und wurden leider enttäuscht, 2 Gänge gingen garnicht. Da nur einer von uns Wein trank wurde glasweise geordert auch viel zu teuer. Der Service war überlastet und gestresst um Freundlichkeit bemüht. Alles in allem ein nicht akzeptables Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis

Wir waren dort zu zweit an einem Samstagabend im März 2023 und hatten über das Internet reserviert. Am Abend gibt es nur Menüs. Jeder Gang 20 € also vier Gänge 80,00 € 5 Gänge 100 € und so weiter. Wir entschieden uns für die vier Gänge ohne Weinbegleitung. Von den vier Gängen waren die ersten beiden lecker und die zweiten beiden sprich die Hauptspeise und das Dessert höchstens befriedigend. Der auf Empfehlung servierte Grüner Veltliner und der anschließende französische Rotwein waren okay aber mit 11,50 € für 0,1l viel zu teuer Der Service wirkte oft gestresst, weil das Lokal gut besucht war. Alles in allem war es höchstens befriedigend für das viele Geld, da gibt es nettere und leckere Lokale in Köln.

Lekker, prijs kwaliteit ok. Hoofdgerecht te zoet.

Über das Essen selbst muss man nicht viele Worte verlieren, einfach nur sehr delikat und dazu auch noch sehr anspruchsvoll angerichtet. Was aber dann alles nochmals in der Achtung vor der Leistung der Küche steigert ist einmal einen Blick in die Küche zu werfen, auf dem Weg zur Toilette kommt man direkt vorbei. Drei Köche auf minimalsten Raum bringen solche Teller hervor! Wahnsinn! Auch der Service war immer präsent und kompetent aber nie aufdringlich. Alles in allem ein gelungener Abend, ein weiterer Besuch ist gesetzt.

Wir waren die Woche wieder einmal im Limbourg essen. Wie jedes Mal war das Essen sehr lecker und Geschmacklich sehr gut mit der Weinbegleitung verknüpft. Wir hatten das aktuelle 6 Gang-Menü. Einmal in der „normalen“ Variante und einmal in der Veggie-Variante. Beide Menüs sind auf einem hohem Niveau und haben in sich eine tolle Raffinesse. Da ich einen Gang im Voraus für mich ausgeschlossen habe wurde mir vom Chef de Cuisine prompt eine Alternative vorgeschlagen und die Weinbegleitung darauf angepasst. Der Skrei war einfach wunderbar und wir lieben den Touch das wir im Limbourg die Genüsse aus dem Meer lieben lernen. Rund um es war wieder ein toller Abend im Limbourg. Der Service ist immer zuvorkommend und achtet auf seine Gäste Wir kommen wieder!

Last night I ordered the crab appetizer and I found at least 3-4 pieces of large and sharp shell pieces in the dish. Big health hazard, so beware!! This is a pic of the second largest piece, the biggest piece I found they took with them. Definitely don’t recommend it. For me was a SCARY experience. I didn’t expect it from restaurant of such price range. They took the meal away but we paid in full for everything else.

This was one of the best dining experiences I've ever had in my life. My partner made reservations for us for our honeymoon as a surprise, and I loved every minute of it. We purchased the fixed Christmas menu, which brought us several dishes that tantalized and surprised us. This is a small establishment with at most 13 or 14 tables, which means that quality is ensured. The kitchen is one of the smallest I've seen (I was able to sneak a peek on the way to the restroom), and so the powerful flavor profiles that came from the chef were astounding. Each dish, whether it was the bread, inspired sushi, beef, or chocolate cake, was presented with flair and expertise. The staff is attentive but not in your business, a gold standard in my books. We were served by two servers who were good enough with English but certainly appreciated my husband's attempt at German. This is not a tourist destination. This is a foodie's destination. The price for such a fine experience is on point, so budget accordingly. This is a not-to-be-missed experience. If you're in Koln/Cologne, reserve now.

Genussvoll essen in schönem Ambiente, das kann man im Limbourg. Das 6-Gang Menü war sehr schmackhaft und auch optisch toll präsentiert. Dazu findet sich auf der sehr umfangreichen Weinkarte für jeden Geschmack die passende Begleitung. Der Service war klasse, unauffällig, jedoch auch gern zu Scherzen bereit. Das kleine Separee war bestens geeignet um für die Weihnachtsfeier "unter sich" zu sein.

Lovely food and friendly staff. We had a 6 course menu including very interesting dishes paired with good wine. We generally felt that the pause between each dish was a little too long.
