We went to Limani yesterday to celebrate my wife's birthday. And it was an absolute hit! We had a fantastic evening all around. Extremely friendly welcome. Fast, friendly, competent, courteous and attentive service from staff. The guest really is king here. The food was beautifully presented and from starter to main course it was first class! Very tasty and everything is highly recommended! The whole place is highly recommended!! The prices are also absolutely reasonable! Great quality! There was not a single point of criticism! For €300 we had a fantastic evening in a fantastic restaurant with a lovely terrace, fantastic view of the Rhine, great food and great staff! It was worth every cent! It won't be our last time at Limani!!! See for yourselves. Limani is absolutely recommended without a single point of criticism, first class!!!!! TOP restaurant! Keep it up....

So close to the Rhine, a balanced menu, and a great atmosphere! Both the mezes and the main courses of Duroc pork and lamb chops were excellently prepared and perfectly seasoned! The wine list leaves nothing to be desired, with one or two surprises (Greek). It's always worth dining there. 8 points! ;-)

Unfortunately, the food transparency inspection caught the extremely poor hygiene. You can read all about it. I won't be going there again.

The turbot fillet was dry, the puree lukewarm, with some blanched broccoli and a small dollop of sauce. My husband's steak was good, but the mushrooms were extremely salty/over-seasoned, and the gratin was dry. In my opinion, neither main course was worth the price. The other guests both had different starters, which were also rather mediocre in taste, but better than the two main courses. The waiter didn't ask us if we were satisfied until everyone had already finished... I found it very annoying that the service staff behind the counter were emptying the dishwasher and loading full crates of drinks at a very loud volume and with a high level of distortion, and at times they turned the music up to an unpleasant volume. The restrooms are very dirty. I tried in good faith, but there won't be a third time in this place.

We were outside on the course, so it wasn't as highly rated as inside.

The food is overpriced and of poor quality, and the staff are very unfriendly. You're only paying for the view! The bathrooms in the basement are an absolute disaster. They take away your appetite!

Unfortunately, the price/performance ratio of the food isn't up to par. We were extremely satisfied with the staff and the attentive service, as well as the location with the elevated terrace. The ambiance could be a bit more refined. Dried/fading flowers were on the table. One of the staircases was blocked, and a dirty corner was forming.

We reserved a terrace table in advance, it was worth it. The table had a beautiful view of the Rhine. This time we ordered different meze. From fish to meat - everything was tasty and the portions were sufficient. The service was quick and very friendly. At the entrance there is a notice that going to the toilet costs 50 cents. However, I didn't use a toilet and therefore don't know whether this fee is also charged to restaurant guests. Nevertheless, we will stop by a third time.

We spontaneously visited Limani on Saturday evening. Since we weren't very hungry, we opted for meze/starters. We ordered veal liver and farmer's salad. Both tasted excellent. The freshly tapped Kölsch was impeccable. We recommend Limani and will come back.

Ich habe das "Limani" zur Mittagszeit aufgesucht und hatte bei allerbestem Wetter einen schönen Platz auf der Terrasse bekommen. Die Location lädt zum Verweilen ein. Es gibt draußen ausreichend Platz und man sitzt trotzdem nicht direkt beim Nachbarn auf dem Schoß. Ich hatte mir von der Mittagskarte Tagliarini mit Pfifferlingen bestellt. Dazu eine Spezi mit Eis und Zitrone, zum Dessert einen Espresso. Vor dem Essen gab es superleckeres, knuspriges Brot mit Olivenöl und Salz. Ein sehr guter Start. Das Hauptgericht war von der Größe her optimal und kam nach gar nicht so langer Wartezeit. Das passte alles. Der abschließende Espresso hatte Crema und schmeckte gut. Das alles für knapp 20,00 Euro ist für die gute Lage und dem ordentlichen Service ein vernünftiger Preis. Ich kann das Limani daher nur empfehlen.

We had a wonderful evening at Limani and were amazed by the quality of the food and the warm atmosphere. The starters were a real highlight - fresh, aromatic and perfectly seasoned. We were particularly impressed by the Mediterranean mezes! The absolute highlight, however, was the entrecôte – grilled to perfection, incredibly tender and with a fantastic aroma. The side dishes were equally delicious and rounded off the taste experience perfectly. The service was attentive, friendly and authentic - you really feel like you're in Greece. We'll definitely be back! Absolute recommendation for anyone who wants to enjoy Greek cuisine at the highest level.

Very friendly staff - great atmosphere

The quality and care in preparation have decreased significantly. The stuffed grape leaves were mushy, as if they had been in the microwave for too long. The calamari in the fritto misto was hard rubber and inedible. The veal liver is full of tendons and fried for too long. In return we got 2 espressos on the house. Didn't comfort us either

Two meat dishes surprised us: veal liver with onions and white wine sauce was remarkably soft and juicy, while the rabbit Stifado featured the most tender rabbit we've experienced, delicately spiced with hints of star anise in a rich red wine sauce that left us wanting more. What elevated the experience further was the attentive yet unobtrusive service. When selecting our third wine, our knowledgeable waiter offered a generous tasting experience, pouring samples of three different wines while expertly explaining the grape varieties and characteristics of each. We had dinner at Limani this evening. Not only did we have to wait almost 2 hours for the food, but you also get a steak that is streaked with fat and fried as the chef perhaps thinks is right because the guests' wishes were ignored. There was also a small potato gratin, which was not fresh, and dried mushrooms that were briefly pulled through the pan. Everything is totally loveless. Starter was not fried feta cheese, but came from the microwave. Briefly heated up and ready. The prices are unreasonable for this poor service and poor food.

Recommended restaurant directly on the Rhine promenade. Outside in the spacious square there are little things to eat, Greek tapas and drinks, it's a lovely place to sit. Large outdoor terrace with a wonderful view of the Rhine. Delicious food, good wine selection, very nice and quick team. Absolutely recommended.

It's quite nice here. Toilets well maintained, nice outdoor terrace with a view of the Rhine. Nothing was eaten, but what was taken out looked very good. Beer 0.2l €2.50, 0.3l €3.50 (2025/02). Waiter slowly gets used to me and that I don't want to eat today. Kir Royal is as hoped.

I don't think we've ever eaten main courses there because 3 or 4 of the starters are always enough for two of us. Nice selection of Greek wines and all with a direct view of the Rhine. If the weather is nice, you can also sit outside on the terrace.

Mi primo tenía el pescado monje y yo las chuletas de cordero. Ambos estaban fuera de este mundo. Tanto, que tuve pescado monje y ella otro plato de cordero la noche siguiente. El servicio fue genial. Haz reservas. El lugar estaba lleno ambas noches TODA LA NOCHE.

In this restaurant you have a really beautiful view of the Rhine. Friendly and courteous service, one to three freshly tapped Leffe and delicious food... whenever we're in Cologne again, we'll always be happy!

We made a good choice for a special gathering from Cologne, Bonn and Brazil: we came together in a very pleasant atmosphere with very good acoustics despite the large room. Even though we had reserved, there was no table available. We then waited, but guests who arrived after us got the only free table because they had reserved online and not by phone like we did. At some point we gave up and went to eat somewhere else.

Was surprised with my 1 year wedding anniversary here. 1h waiting a booked table, we are still waiting. Another couple arrived and was sorted before us because the hostess thought “we were happy at the bar” - yes we are a happy couple but we’re not eating and waiting here for ever

Wir waren zu 9 Personen vor Ort und hatten einen sehr schönen Abend. Anfangs war es aufgrund der Fülle im Lokal sehr laut, sodass man sich leider kaum unterhalten konnte. Das wurde zu späterer Stunde deutlich besser und angenehmer. Mit den Speisen, Getränken sowie Service waren wir sehr zufrieden. Bei der großen Auswahl an mezedes (Vorspeisen) hat jeder aus der Gruppe was Passendes gefunden. Auch die Getränkeauswahl konnte alle glücklich machen. Und obwohl es sehr voll war, kam keine Hektik auf und wir waren vom freundlichen und zuvorkommenden Service sehr angetan. Wir kommen gerne wieder, - das nächste Mal vielleicht im Sommer, um die Terrasse und den Blick auf den Rhein zu erleben. Die Tiefgarage Rheinauhafen direkt unter dem Lokal ist praktisch, aber leider sehr teuer!

Very nice service, but also very loud when it's full to capacity. Grilled octopus is still a highlight. Unfortunately, the food overall has decreased somewhat, patates are now just fries and the portions have become significantly smaller in some cases.

The best are the 2 Rhine terraces. The ambience is upscale, the staff is friendly and the wine list is extensive. Two of us ordered beef steaks, a starter and a salad and waited 90 minutes for the food. It didn't hit a cooked point and the spinach crunches between your teeth. All in all... Definitely great for a good bottle of wine. PS Having negative reviews removed by a lawyer for defamation etc. shows character.

Wir können nach heute Abend die negativen Bewertungen nicht nachvollziehen. Wir wurden freundlich empfangen, selbst ein Vorziehen der Reservierung um 30 Minuten war kein Problem. Die Vorspeisen (Schafskäse und Fritto Miso) als auch die Hauptgerichte (Maishähnchen und Entrecote) waren geschmackvoll zubereitet, das Fleisch war auf den Punkt. Der Service war freundlich und kompetent. Wir kommen wieder, keine Frage.

Nuestros amigos turcos nos invitaron a este restaurante. La comida era genial. Teníamos diferentes meze como camarones saganaki, calamares, pulpo a la parrilla, plato de salsas griegas. El marisco estaba cocinado a la perfección, y el camarero nos sugirió un poco de vino para tomar con él. Realmente disfruté de la noche y el ambiente agradable.

Die mitarbeiter könnön nichts dafür wenn der Ober Chef völlig fehl am Platz ist. Darf man was sagen..? Nein ! Man wird ignoriert . Wir sassen viel zu eng. Man will dort nur Geld machen aber man kann besser in eine Kantine essen . Schade. Wir hatten viel mehr erwartet. Nächstes mal lese ich erst was die andere Gäste schon darüber geschriben hatten.

Our turkish friends invited us to this restaurant. The food was great. We had different meze such as shrimp saganaki, kalamari, grilled octopus, plate of greek dips. The seafood was cooked to perfection, and the waiter suggested us some wine to have with it. Really enjoyed the evening and friendly atmosphere.

Navi blocked due to construction site. We would have to walk a long time! The terrace closed (October). Inside was very crowded. The room was too loud for me. We had reserved but no table was marked. The toilets are in the basement (accessible from outside). My salad smelled like fish :( .the steak was OK but not the best. Given that the restaurant is featured everywhere among the 10 best in Cologne, our visit was unfortunately disappointing.

We have eaten there again and again for years. The last time - about 2 months ago - we were disappointed with the service. Last night was catastrophic! The service as a whole (3 people) were completely overwhelmed. The food was "slammed" onto the table without any words. Several guests simply left because they weren't served after a long wait...The food itself is good, but in the end it's overpriced. We have never experienced such an uncomfortable and, above all, loud and hectic evening in a restaurant in this price range. Too bad! We'll try again in the summer, then at least you have a view of the Rhine - if you can sit outside.

If you order a coffee to go on the terrace, you won't receive a lid. What's the point of a coffee to go without a lid and it spills over while you're running. In the summer I went there for dinner with a small group. You actually waited longer until a waiter took your order, perhaps because it was a weekend. We sat outside on the terrace. The food was okay, but I don't remember it so positively that I have to visit the restaurant again. In addition, this operator has comments that he doesn't like deleted, so the rating in no way reflects a real picture.

When I visited Limani in the Agrippina shipyard in Cologne, I was excited about the food and the atmosphere. My wife and I decided on a steak and bifteki, and although the food was good, it didn't blow us away. The ambience was fine, but the real highlight was the terrace overlooking the Rhine - simply beautiful. It seems like many visitors have had similar experiences. Some praise the food, but don't necessarily find it outstanding. Others emphasize the beautiful location right on the river and the pleasant terrace. All in all, I would recommend Limani for a relaxing evening.

We waited 45 minutes just for the appetizers. The scallops were overcooked, the octopus was barely warm.

For 120€ (with tip) for 7 excellent but small starters (mezedes), 3 small glasses of (house) wine and 2 small Greek coffees, we would have liked at least a small gift such as a sweet with the coffee or an alcoholic nightcap. Nothing like that received. The recommended Meteora wine was at best of good house wine quality and was overpriced. And for example there were only 4 sardines on the plate. No main courses beyond €30. Where is the proverbial generosity and filoxenia of the Greeks? Not in Limani in Cologne. And no paper invoice available, only electronically as a total for payment. Confusing and non-transparent. We are disappointed about this.
