A lovely evening with good food and friendly service.

Really nice place to relax with a cocktail in the sun and people watch.

We waited 45 minutes just for the appetizers. The scallops were overcooked, the octopus was barely warm.

For 120€ (with tip) for 7 excellent but small starters (mezedes), 3 small glasses of (house) wine and 2 small Greek coffees, we would have liked at least a small gift such as a sweet with the coffee or an alcoholic nightcap. Nothing like that received. The recommended Meteora wine was at best of good house wine quality and was overpriced. And for example there were only 4 sardines on the plate. No main courses beyond €30. Where is the proverbial generosity and filoxenia of the Greeks? Not in Limani in Cologne. And no paper invoice available, only electronically as a total for payment. Confusing and non-transparent. We are disappointed about this.

A beautiful place to eat. We were lucky enough to sit outside in beautiful weather with a view of the Rhine. The food was simply delicious 😋. We all had different meals, including tapas, and it was really good. I can only recommend it

The terrace with a view of the Rhine is an absolute dream! The food is always delicious and you can rely on the wine recommendation every time. The staff is super friendly and you feel totally welcome! Always happy to go there!

The food is good and well cooked, but the service is not commensurate with the price in my opinion. The reception is cold, or rather there is no organized reception. 5 people from the restaurant walk past you and back again without speaking to you for minutes. When someone finally comes to speak to you, you are told that your table is not ready and you will have to wait. I didn't get a table directly on the banks of the Rhine, as I had asked when making the reservation, as these tables cannot be reserved, but a group of four people who arrived without a reservation were able to get a table directly on the banks of the Rhine. The waiter on the terrace is very nice and helpful. There are lots of large spiders on the patio lamps above the tables and we were worried one might fall on us or on our plate.

Nice restaurant right on the Rhine. We found the portions a bit small for the price. The menu is awkwardly tied to a wine list. The service could have been a little friendlier...

Unfortunately our visit here was rather disappointing. The ice cream we ordered was already melted and even after I asked for it to be replaced, I received melted ice cream again. There were also problems with the coffees: my coffee crema was only half full. After I pointed this out, it was corrected again, but this spoiled the experience. In addition, the price for a bottle of Kraneberger water at €6.50 seems overpriced, especially when you consider that it is just refilled tap water. For such a beautiful location right on the Rhine, I would have expected much better service. Overall, the visit was rather frustrating for us.

Food great, location great, service unfortunately leaves a lot to be desired which was very annoying. You might think the staff has a competition to see who can ignore the most tables. After a long wait, you had to go to the staff to order and get the bill and the plates weren't even cleared away. Too bad

Very expensive prices. And worst of all, it's not Greek at all! Of the numerous dishes, perhaps 5% are actually Greek. The rest is more international. Prices are outrageous

The food at Limani is excellent. No matter what dish we had, everything was so good that you would want more of it. The location right on the Rhine makes it even better. Unfortunately, the service gets two stars deducted because it is unfortunately only mediocre. You have to wait a long time until a waitress responds to the empty glasses. They all just run to the table they have in mind without even looking at the next table to see if anything is needed. So you sit drying for a long time and the empty plates remain standing.

Greek mythology is full of heroic legends. Yesterday evening was not a heroic story. But first the good: The Laga on the Rhine is absolutely top notch if you get a place on the terrace. The atmosphere outside is of course great. We were able to try out the inside and outside. Unfortunately, the ambience inside doesn't keep up. The seating and furnishings may be functional and nice, but they have no character whatsoever... when empty, it's almost a bit dreary. The flickering light with its voltage fluctuations did the rest. So if you want to write hero stories, you have to deliver. The service staff was great, but of course they can only deliver if the kitchen delivers. But she didn't do it. We ordered 3 soups and the 2nd course with the same order. Unfortunately, we had to wait about an hour between the soup and the second course. @Kitchen: what was going on??? Unfortunately, what was delivered was not "Fabled" in the Greek sense... And the price-performance ratio - taking the portions into account - moves towards Hades, the Greek underworld. About the dishes: All delicious, but far from Olympus and far too expensive (perhaps the prices are also due to the lease in the exclusive location) Fish soup: clear soup, well seasoned, but the fish addition is very, very simple for 15.90 Octopus: ordered was braised, delivered was grilled! When asked, he commented that it was much better (no swap was offered) OK, the portion was also rather small, but the taste was great. Baby Calamari: Good Frit. Sardines: just fried sardines like everywhere else with a lemon wedge, but nothing special Veal liver: very good sauce, but very little for 16.90 Overall: Food tastes good, portions are a bit small, prices are a bit high, service is good, timing is bad, the ambience (inside) clearly has room for improvement. P.s.: We noticed something with the digestif and it definitely falls into the area of ​​training needs: A waiter (the first time at our table) came with the schnapps we had ordered, obviously poured into the wrong glass. At the table he sees the previously used glass of the previous schnapps and - without any questions or hesitation - poured the schnapps into the already used glass... we were amazed, to put it politely

Unfortunately I can't give the restaurant a good rating. The service was extremely disappointing - inattentive and unfriendly. We had to wait a long time for our order and when the food finally arrived it was less than impressive. Unfortunately, the taste was hardly convincing and it wasn't anything special. The only bright spot was the beautiful location on the Rhine, which at least created a pleasant atmosphere. Overall, I wouldn't come here again due to the poor service and mediocre food.

Wir waren nur zwei Tage im Köln und wollten uns einen wunderschönen Abend, mit einem tollen Ausblick genießen. Das Restaurant an sich ist sehr renovierungsbedürftig. Egal, haben wir uns gedacht- vielleicht top dieser Location mit etwas anderes. Naja… 1. Erst wurde uns eine Aperitif Karte gebracht, gleich nach dem sie erst auf dem Tisch lag wurde gefragt: was darf sein? Obwohl man sieht, dass man nicht mal eine Chance hatte- diese aufzumachen! Wir wollten beide kein Aperitif, sonder einfach Wein. Weinkarte wurde nicht gebracht. 2. Weinkarte zu bringen fand der Kellner irgendwie zu kompliziert. Auf meine Anfrage, welche Weine haben Sie? Wurde nur geantwortet: wir haben viele Weine! Toll! Danke! 3. Wasser hat uns schon der 3.Kellner gebracht, der nicht mal in der Lage war” Guten Abend” zu sagen. Wir taten es als erste. 4. Die Speisekarte gabs nur eine. Auf meine Anfrage, ob es möglich wäre eine zweite Karte zu bekommen: “sind alle belegt!”. Danach kam aber die Kellnerin mit der 2.Speisekarte mit einem Spruch: “ Sie haben Glück!”. Wow..habe ich mir nur gedacht. 5.Die Krönung! Ursprünglich habe ein Tisch für 4 Personen reserviert. Als wir ins Restaurant kamen, wussten wir schon, dass wir zu dritt sein werden. Wir hatten Hunger und haben dem Kellner mitgeteilt, dass wir auf die 3. Person nicht warten. Nach unser Vorspeise kam dann ein Kellner, der uns im Saal angeschrien hat! Und gefragt hat: wo ist die 3 Person!??Und falls diese nicht auftaucht- dann kommt auch Hauptgericht nicht! Wie bitte???? So was habe ich noch nie erlebt!!! Als 3. Person kam- habe ich ihm gesagt: wir essen schnell und verschwinden! Da ich nicht mehr als 2 Minuten länger dort bleiben wollte! 6. Essen: ok 7. Es ist ein Restaurant der sich selber als “Gehoben” bezeichnet. Preis vom Fisch 37€

I was disappointed yesterday visiting the restaurant, for the first time I was on the large terrace. There was no food. I ordered dorado fillet, but they brought me a piece of the tail🤣 There was nothing to eat. We cut one and a half tomatoes for this and added herbs. A very unpleasant feeling. I've been here twice before and recommended it to friends, but this kind of nonsense has never happened before. Disappointed.

Super tasty starters with a great selection of wines. Service friendly and quick. We were able to say something about every starter and wine. Simply great.

My daughter and I really enjoyed our stay at Limani. The food was tasty, the service was outstanding. Our waitress (I think her name is: Antje) is probably a gastronomy professional who knows his trade: warm, courteous, always with a smile, reading our wishes from our lips, giving us warmed plates and giving us wonderful tips for sightseeing/things worth seeing in Cologne (special St. Mary's Church...). It's great that there are still people whose job is obviously a calling. Thank you!

Schönes Restaurant in top Lage. Preis/Leistungsverhältnis miserabel, sehr überteuerte kleine Portionen und vom Geschmack nichts besonderes, dem griechischem Essen sehr fern. Es gibt eine ganze Reihe viel besserer griechischer Restaurants in Köln mit geschmackvollem Essen und guten Preisen. Von der Situation in den Toiletten ganz zu schweigen obwohl dafür Geld kassiert wird. Sehr nette Bedienung, der Möchtegern „Chef“ kundenunfreundlich. Nach 2,5 Stunden wurden wir regelrecht rausgeschmissen weil der Tisch erneut reserviert war. Wir waren häufiger dort hauptsächlich wegen der schönen Lage, nur selten zufrieden. Nach dem gestrigen Vorfall nie wieder.

Very tasty food! Made a late reservation, but still got a table. We ordered about 6 mezze's (2p) which we all enjoyed. Everything nicely seasoned, perfectly prepared. Friendly service, despite the crowds, the waiters continued to pay attention to every table. Highly recommended.

The food was okay, but not as good as hoped. The service was very chaotic and unstructured. I regularly had to ask for drinks instead of being asked. Everyone had already eaten the starter at the table, while we had to wait 10 minutes (my starters were made quickly). It was also way too loud and I think charging guests with a toilet fee of 50 cents is very cheeky. Especially because the toilets weren't cleaned regularly anyway. There was no goodbye or anything like that. So, we won't go there again. The positive reviews dazzled us. Oh yes, it is very touristy and for some reason new guests were allowed on the terrace, but we were not allowed.

Great place to experience a real holiday feeling in everyday life. Very tasty starters (we had 2 each and therefore skipped the main course), a sensationally good yoghurt dessert, Greek wine and very friendly staff.

We were stranded in Limani yesterday and can only report positive things. The service, the food was simply great!!! The view of the Rhine is also very beautiful. 🙂 I can highly recommend the restaurant.

Unfortunately there was absolute chaos in the kitchen, we waited an hour for the starter, then an hour for the main course, and the bill also came very late because many guests were complaining. That's not how it works! I'm actually a Limani fan, but that wasn't good today. 😐

Stopped off for a drink so can't comment on food. Lovely location on the Rhine...loses points because it sneakily charges a tip without asking you. I don't begrudge a tip..... but don't charge me for it without asking.

Last Sunday I ordered the salmon with three grated biscuits and salad, which was unfortunately disappointing. The shredded biscuits were soaked in the salad dressing and many of the lettuce leaves were black. When I expressed my concerns, the waitress explained that the problem was with warm fried potatoes - even though we hadn't ordered fried potatoes with the salmon. Instead of taking the customer seriously, the waitress insisted on being right, which I found very unpleasant. I was also disappointed by the Angus Bacon Cheeseburger with a 200 gram Angus beef patty. In my opinion, the patty was significantly smaller than the stated 200 grams. In addition, the meat was overcooked, which affected the taste. The ambience was pleasant, but I hope that both the quality of the food and the customer service can be improved as the restaurant does have potential.

The food was not bad. Nothing special, but good enough that I would not have felt the need to write this review. The reason why I felt the need to write this review is because I experienced some of the worst customer service ever at this restaurant. I was there on a monday, not a busy day. From the time I ordered my food, until the time I received it, was exactly 1 hour. Keep in mind that this place does Tapas, so it really does not work if it takes an hour to get anything your ordered. There was no warning from the waiter about this either, as I would have ordered more than a few small tapas off the bat to get me started. I reserved a seat at the restaurant through their website. Even though there was no option to reserve a patio seat, they told me that they could not give me any of the remaining patio seats. A hour later, someone comes and they give them that patio seat. The person was a local. Which leads me to my next point. Our server did his absolute best to completely ignore us and only catered to the other tables, with locals. During the one hour that we waited for our food, both my partner and I finished our drinks. The waiter didn't even both to ask us if we wanted anything else. It appears that this restaurant gives preferential treatment to locals and tourists will get 2nd rate service. On some level, I get it. They make more money off the locals who are return customers. Fair enough, that is their right. But it is also my right to warn my fellow tourists to avoid this place like the bubonic plague in a soviet gulag. What made this really bad was that the night before, we went to another restaurant in the City: Tanica. The service there was nothing short of exceptional, which is why the poor service here stood out to me soo much.

We were there on Friday. The service was not very attentive and rather far. The map seems a bit random and lacking in concept. We had five starters, none of which were convincing. We then left because the food wasn't good and could even be described as insufficient for the prices quoted. For me a completely overrated restaurant.

The food was tasty but nothing special considering the price was already on the upper level. The terrace on the Rhine is great, but the tables are quite narrow. Very, very expensive for these mediocre tapas. What bothers me most is that even though you have a reservation, you only get assigned seats at the back. Apparently the better seats are already reserved. That was a lie because these seats were still free after 2 hours. Great occupancy policy. But word gets around sometimes.

A nice restaurant on the Rhine. The terrace is also recommended in cool temperatures. The food is very good. Unfortunately, all of the main courses are not for vegetarians, but we got along very well with twice as many starters. The desserts are also highly recommended. The atmosphere in the restaurant was very relaxed and neighboring tables weren't too loud or too close.

What more could you wish for with this great view! Every mezze before the main courses was very tasty and the price-performance ratio was good, with most of them being “tapas”. The whole sea bream was really perfectly cooked, I would have liked a fresh or buttery sauce with it. My friends were happy with my decision to eat here. I will definitely come back.

This is a very nice place, with a patio meters away from the Rheine river. The greek staff is very friendly and both food and wine is really good.

ich hatte das Limani in guter Erinnerung, aber bei diesem Besuch waren wir nicht so richtig zufrieden. Ich hatte ursprünglich für 8 Personen reserviert und dann am selben Tag auf 10 Personen erhöht. Durch diese 2 Personen mehr erhielten wir nur noch ein Zeitfenster von 18-19:30 Uhr. Auf meine Frage hin, ob wir dann ab 19:30 Uhr nicht einfach zusammenrücken könnten wurde nicht weiter eingegangen und wir wurden tatsächlich bereits um 19:20 Uhr zum gehen aufgefordert, nachdem wir für 500€ gegessen und getrunken hatten. Bei 10 Personen hat man inzwischen auch immer Personen dabei die weder Fleisch noch Fisch essen. Im Limani ist das nicht vorgesehen und es gab keine Bereitschaft ein Essen in Hauptgerichtgröße zu servieren welches vegan gewesen wäre. In der Preislage wo das Limani inzwischen rangiert ist dies aber ein Muss! Davon dass man Veggis auf der Karte von Grundweg ignoriert wollen wir mal garnicht reden. Wir kommen nicht wieder und wenn mich jemand fragt ist das Limani, leider keine Empfehlung mehr.

Everyone there was very friendly

The zaiziki is probably not homemade, hardly any garlic, rather bland. The rest didn't convince me either, I only had starters. The incredibly good Cremant deserves special mention.
