Very friendly owners, food of very good quality,

We called about 30-40 minutes in advance, and the nice lady on the phone was able to reserve a table for us. We received a friendly welcome and were seated right away. The drinks arrived quickly, and our special requests were accommodated. The food didn't take long to arrive either. We had bifteki, gyros metaxa, and shrimp. All three dishes were absolutely delicious. The desserts were also delicious. Try the fig ice cream. The prices were absolutely fair, and we had a wonderful evening.

It was very tasty. Unfortunately, there was no small salad with the main course, which is what I'm used to from Greek restaurants. The place, unfortunately, seems rather bare for the most part.

Our trusted restaurant for celiacs. The mayo doesn't work, so we just bring our own ;-). But even without celiac disease, the food is really, really delicious 😋.

The food is highly recommended. The menu isn't as overstated as in other restaurants. There are also daily specials you wouldn't expect. The taste and quality are very good. The staff is friendly and competent. It was an evening in a very pleasant atmosphere.

I originally just wanted to grab a quick bite to eat and stumbled upon this restaurant. It was busy, but I was quickly offered a nice seat at the back. I ordered "Souzoukakia Smirneika." It was an appetizer, garlic bread, two Kölsch beers, and two Metaxxas. It was very tasty. The service was very attentive. The atmosphere was very pleasant. I'll be back on my next trip from Augsburg.

Very tasty, very friendly - gladly again

We ate here in a small group. I had the pepperoni skewer for starters and the sole for the main course. The meal was highly recommended. Everyone else was also very satisfied with their meals. Definitely recommend it.

The food is fabulous! I had the Metaxa Gyro (baked) which was simply outstanding. The service was excellent. I'd be happy to go back!

My partner and I ate here at Filoxenia for the first time yesterday. We had garlic bread for starters, Tigania for main course, a small salad, and the Filoxenia mixed grill (price including all drinks: €84). We can only give the chef a huge compliment; the food was sensationally delicious and hot 😊👍 The service was very friendly, courteous, and quick, and they kept everything in check! The atmosphere is very cozy. We were even able to bring our dog (just for all you dog owners) 😊 So, all in all, we wholeheartedly recommend this restaurant! We'll definitely be back! Very good and friendly service. I personally enjoyed the food. The portions were large enough to fill me up. The price/performance ratio is right here. I can wholeheartedly recommend this restaurant. During my visit, everything looked clean and well-maintained. There are a few parking spaces available. Otherwise, you can park across the street in front of a supermarket.

The best bifteki we've ever had: not overpowering (as is unfortunately often the case), but light, with a bit of tomato, and very well seasoned. The taramas was amazing. Very empathetic, professional, polite, and friendly service, and a pleasant atmosphere. If we're back here in Cologne next year, we'll be back. THANK YOU!

Delicious with friendly service. One note, though: Please don't serve the main courses while you're still on the appetizer.

We were here with two adults and two children. The lovely outdoor area was well-filled and, despite being right on the street, not particularly loud. Unfortunately, smoking is permitted here, so we had to change tables to avoid the smoke. The gyro (regular and in Metaxa sauce) was very good. The portions were adequate, but not particularly large. It's a shame that the draft beer actually contains beer (albeit non-alcoholic) and tastes strongly of beer. The prices are reasonable. Overall, we had a good time.

A green barrier facing the street could be added to make it a bit more comfortable outside in the summer. The food was delicious and the price was perfectly reasonable.

A really great, nice restaurant. We went there three times during our assembly. Here in the Lower Rhine region, we get more quantity than quality at a Greek restaurant. At Filoxenia, the food is very generously portioned. The food was truly amazing! Attentive and friendly service. No long waits, even though the restaurant was very busy each time. We'll be back.

We had a wonderful evening. The food, drinks, and service were excellent. We had an excellent rosé wine. The appetizers and main courses were also delicious. The owners were very attentive, yet not intrusive. We felt very comfortable. Furthermore, everything was very clean, yet harmonious and conducive to a sense of well-being. The dessert selection was also excellent. Unfortunately, we don't live nearby, but otherwise, this would be our favorite Greek restaurant. We'll try to come back with Mom.

Very chaotic. We had to wait 1.5 hours for our food. The first people had finished eating by the time the last one got theirs. After asking several times, the explanation was a gyro problem. I wouldn't recommend coming back.

I have known the restaurant itself for many years, but only recently had the opportunity to visit it. Authentic Greek cuisine is offered in a nice, modern atmosphere. The service at lunchtime was very friendly and quick. The quality of the food and drinks was very good, certainly above average, and the portions were sufficient. The prices for what is on offer (souflaki, mineral water, a glass of wine) are reasonable at €28.80. This results in a very good price-performance ratio and I look forward to my next visit.

Really very good Greek food in the west of Cologne. The service was extremely friendly and accommodating and quick! The portions are really generous and therefore really good for the price/performance ratio. Highly recommended!

I can really recommend it. Really delicious.

We were nearby and drove past hungry. There was a free parking space in front of the house, so we went in. The staff is friendly and asks every now and then whether everything is OK or whether you have anything else to request. The food is delicious and tastes good.

The service was very friendly and at first very attentive, unfortunately it slowed down a bit in the evening and it took us a long time to be able to pay. The food was delicious, solid Greek cuisine, no highlights but good. Restored and toilet was clean Why I don't give it 5 stars, I personally felt that the food, service and ambience were missing something special, it could be any Greek restaurant. Nevertheless, I would like to thank you for the delicious food.

It's always a pleasure to eat there. A salad tastes so fresh, it may sound funny to say “like a fresh summer in Greece”, but try it and you’ll know what I mean. The gyros are tastier than in any grill. The specialties are fresh and hearty, everything is simply delicious! The staff is not only polite but also natural. When I read my own lines now, I have to smile, but everything tastes just as I described it.

Without a reservation we got a table for two after 30 minutes. Food tasted fantastic

Een heerlijk authentiek grieks restaurant met grieks personeel en eten. Een echte aanrader als je in de buurt bent. Wij hebben met zijn vieren gegeten. Bediening is vrolijk, vriendelijk en behulpzaam. Eten is goed en de porties zijn voldoende. Voor de prijs hoef je het niet te laten want de prijzen zijn echt goed.

A wonderful authentic Greek restaurant. Ate here on the recommendation of the lady at the hotel. We were warmly welcomed, especially after we managed to say a number of Greek words. The food is really good and the portions are fantastic. The four of us had a delicious meal of three main courses. Appetizers and desserts are also delicious. Service is up for a joke and very friendly and helpful.

Here the tzatziki is traditionally made with dill! 🥰 The operators are very friendly and warm-hearted. And food and drinks delicious! Just go there.

A perfect greek traditional taverna with great food, nice atmosphere and pleasant staff. A must visit place if you're visiting here in Frechen just outside Cologne.

As soon as we entered the restaurant we received a very friendly welcome. The selection of dishes and drinks is good. The staff takes time for a short chat. The food was rich and very tasty. At the end there was an ouzo on the house. If we lived there, it definitely wouldn't be our last visit. I can recommend it to everyone with a clear conscience!

Habe das Restaurant gewählt da es fusswegig sehr gut von meinem Hotel erreichbar war und zudem gut bewertet wurde. Das Personal war sehr nett und die Speisekarte war gut sortiert. Das Kokkinisto war sehr lecker und die Zutaten waren perfekt gegart.

I had dinner at Filoxenia and was very satisfied. The portions are large and the quality is good. The menu is small but nice. I like that only a few dishes are offered. There are a handful of parking spaces at the house. I wouldn't like to sit outside because a busy street in front of the door makes a lot of noise.

Special requests were easily fulfilled. Absolutely recommended. It's just a bit noisy outside due to its location on the main street. But this is compensated for by the above.

Yesterday we were in this beautiful Greek restaurant “Filoxenia” in Cologne Marsdorf on Dürenerstr for the first time. A very nice atmosphere, with beautifully set tables. The menu is very appealing and leaves nothing to be desired. We enjoyed it very much and the service was very attentive and friendly. Conclusion: We would love to come back to try other great dishes on the menu.

Probably a family business, everyone is really nice and polite. Wanted to have 2x gyros but they only had one portion left. We were immediately offered an alternative. The meat would definitely have cost more, but they still only charged the normal price. Class. The restaurant is fully recommended. Price-performance is 100% right here.

Quality of takeaway food is probably not necessarily the credo here. Clapped together carelessly and totally over-seasoned. But then there are hefty prices. There are simple chip shops that do it better

A nice restaurant with friendly, attentive and fast service. The food was awesome. The Filoxenia grill plate was extremely tasty, the meat was tender and juicy. It was a wonderful evening. On the next trip to Cologne there will be another visit to the Filoxenia restaurant, guaranteed.

After long day at the carnival celebrations with my wife, we headed to Filoxenia without a booking in hope as I had eaten here several times whilst working nearby. Car park was full, but was so pleased when they had a table for us. Right from the start our experience here was lovely. Warm welcome, attentive waiter, delicious food & very nice wine. Very clean & nice decor. Like I said, I’ve eaten here several times over the years, but was nice to share this restaurant’s experience with my wife & she also loved it there. 100% recommend if you like Greek cuisine.

Visited this establishment this Evening, not a lot of choice locally. Would have prefered to try local cuisine. This place was exceptional though, very clean throughout with nice decor. I was offered a local brew which was very nice and the food was fabulous along with Great service, however I would have prefered a Breather between courses. The Garlic Bread was impressive and the Argentine Style steak was as good as I have eaten in a long time, the herby butter Garnish was also quite remarkable. I finished with a perfect coffee and asked for Brandy, wish I asked for non Metaxa, but I guess that is there go to!

We were in the restaurant for the first time. It was great. Our friends and we found the food very good and the service was courteous and very friendly. The tables were a little cramped, but otherwise the furnishings are comfortable and nice to look at.
