We have been going to Lilavadee regularly (every 2-3 months) for 20 years and for us this restaurant was and is always a wonderful trip to Thailand in terms of the ambience and the quality of the food. The change of ownership over 3 years ago was a bit bumpy at times. This had actually caught on well again. Although we noticed in the meantime that some of the food had changed. The change 3 months ago came as a surprise. Our visit yesterday was very positive about the quality of the food and the service. However, you can also sense a certain disappointment among the staff and perhaps a certain degree of uncertainty due to another change in ownership. We just hope that the quality and service will return to the same level as before. That's why we like to continue going to Lilavadee because it's still great compared to other Thais, even if the spirit and splendor from its founding days seems to have faded a bit. The staff is still very motivated and I believe that with good guests the restaurant will continue to be top-class Thai. I can understand the dissatisfaction with the vouchers. But what can the new owner do about the fact that the business was not managed properly before and the income from the vouchers was collected without any costs? The anger should therefore be directed more towards the owner in front of it.

I had a great experience at this Thai restaurant! The staff was incredibly friendly, attentive and made me feel welcome from the start. The food was absolutely delicious, full of authentic flavors and beautifully presented. Every dish was perfectly prepared. The young chef was not only talented but also very friendly, which gave the whole experience a personal touch. The atmosphere was cozy and inviting, an ideal place for a great dining experience. I would recommend this place to anyone looking for exceptional Thai cuisine!

This Thai restaurant is simply fantastic! The food was fresh, full of flavor and beautifully presented. The spring rolls were crispy and the sauces went perfectly with them. The staff was super friendly and the whole store had a cozy, welcoming atmosphere. You can tell that a lot of love goes into the work here. I will definitely come back – absolute recommendation!

We know the Lilavadee from before and were extremely disappointed. The service was subpar. Only after we went to the counter was the order taken after 25 minutes. Compared to before, there was very, very little going on. The food came after 1 hour and 15 minutes. It was ok. Kindness is a foreign word. The reordered rice was charged extra. It doesn't work at all. Unfortunately, this means that lilavadee is over for us.

Wir sind seit vielen Jahren Stammkunden gewesen. Ja, die Qualität hat nachgelassen. Aber dass wir unseren 80 EUR Gutschein nicht einlösen können weil seit Oktober ein neuer Pächter drauf ist - das ist unfassbar. Wir sollen den „alten“ Besitzer anrufen und das mit ihm „klären“. Sowas unfreundliches und freches nach so vielen Jahren - weder wir noch unsere Freunde werden je wieder einen Fuß in dieses Restaurant setzen. Auf Nimmerwiedersehen!

Impudence! Never again! We have been regular customers for many years, despite new ownership and fluctuating quality. But the fact that our 80EUR voucher is not accepted because it has had a new owner since October - that's not possible! We are cheekily told that we should please call the “old” owner ourselves and clarify this with him! This is how you permanently scare away your regular customers. We will never go there again. Goodbye forever!

I made a reservation on Friday lunchtime for 6:30pm the same day My friend was there earlier because she was arriving with the jag. It was placed in the corner of the window at the exit to the terrace. As a greeting, it was made clear to her that she had to leave again at 8 p.m., which she texted me via WhatsApp. see screenshot. I asked for another table, which was implemented without any problems. My inquiry about the end at 8 p.m., which was not mentioned when making the reservation, revealed that this was suddenly no longer an issue. - No, my friend did NOT misunderstand that. Should white wine be served chilled? - No problem, why is there deep freezing? If the jug is full of hoarfrost, the western longnose won't complain. The candles that are common in other areas of the restaurant came to our table when we were paying. Food was good. I can completely understand all of the many really mixed reviews below. More than once I felt like I was in a template for James Clavell's novels about Noble House Hong Kong.

Das zweifelhafte Essvergnügen beim neuen Pächter von Lilavadee. Die Qualität der Gerichte vom bisherigen Pächter konnte nicht erneut erreicht. Wenn ich thailändisch Essen gehe, möchte ich dies auch schmecken – leider konnte das Gericht als thailändisch geschmacklich nicht wahrgenommen werden, überhaupt war alles sehr schwach gewürzt. Gebratene Entenschreiben wurden nie gebraten, was an der Hautoberseite welche weiß und weich war, also niemals durchgeführt wurde. Die Menge an Soße auf dem Servierteller ist mehr als bescheiden. Nachbestellt kann nicht, obwohl die gleiche Soße bei einem anderen Gericht identisch aussah, aber auch sehr wenig. Die Reisschüssel, welche für 2 Personen gereicht wurde, ist in anderen Restaurants für 1 Person. Die Nachbestellung ist zu bezahlen. Die Tischdecke war zwar sauber, muss jedoch repariert werden, als Gastgeberin hätte ich keine kaputte Tischdecke aufgelegt. Dieses Lokal muss auf mich und meine Gäste künftig verzichten.

The food is very tasty and the people are friendly.

The food was fabulous. The environment is same as before and taste remains same. Staff behaviour is very friendly.

Unfortunately, the service is somewhat unfriendly, slow and inattentive, serving the very tasty food in a nice, cozy atmosphere. Sitting on dry land for almost 40 minutes is not very pleasant, and it severely dampened our otherwise positive impression.

Updated October 24: Delicious food and friendly service. We go to Lilavadee regularly and the ownership changed again recently. The kitchen crew and service staff have remained the same. Prices have increased slightly and on our last visit we were served some tasteless rice instead of the usual Thai fragrant rice (which is also on the menu). Let's see if that was just a blip...

I've been going to Lilavadee for years and have always been more than satisfied! It was always a pleasure to eat here and you had a friendly relationship with the waitresses. But what we found today was truly shocking! No known waiter on site and unfortunately the food is absolutely not recommended! The peanut sauce was missing from the satay skewers, the papaya salad wasn't dressed and the main course was cold and there was no red color visible in a red curry. That was really weak! Unfortunately, the atmosphere was also totally cool and you could have thought about turning on the heating in a restaurant this evening. If there was a special situation today because staff were sick or on vacation, they should have just left it alone or made the prices a little more favorable to the customers, but then I find it a bit of a joke to charge the full price even if the quality was really poor on the guest! I was basking in how it was developing, but today you had the feeling that there was a change of operator and you were a guest in a completely new restaurant... So we definitely won't come back! Strangely enough, after 2 bad reviews, there are now 2 reviews with 5 stars, this is definitely dubious!! But everyone has to find out for themselves...

I can only agree with the previous review. I've been to Lilavadee several times and always satisfied. Apparently the owner has now changed and the restaurant was closed for several weeks due to “renovation work”. When we got there it was extremely cold. The heating wasn't on and there was no sign of the renovation. When we arrived it was extremely empty and people were already annoyed and asking for the card. That seemed strange to us. It took a while before we received our tickets. After we ordered, over half an hour passed when we were still sitting on dry land and the waitress came and said the two pieces of paper with both the drinks and the food had been lost. Since we had already been waiting for the drinks for over half an hour and everything seemed a bit strange to us, we left without drinking or eating anything. We didn't have a good feeling that the food would be as good as usual. After the mare recession, our feeling was probably not disappointed and the food was no longer good. So we definitely won't come back!

Absolutely incomprehensible, you've been trying to call for 40 minutes and no one is answering! There is no message on the answering machine or anything like that, which is a real shame. Yes, they checked whether the shop was open, but it's really no fun and then you don't have to be surprised if the customers stay away

Food is average in terms of taste and quality, nothing outstanding. Therefore, €20+ per main course is not justified. Ambiance was nice, but seemed a bit neglected at times. However, I didn't understand the "cucumber salad" with the chicken skewers: what do chopped tomatoes and onions with a few cucumbers in a sauce bowl have to do with "salad"?

Great place, great food. as always, but you shouldn't want to eat there on Friday evening. The number of take-away customers creates a significant delay for customers in the restaurant.

The food (salmon and duck) was mediocre. You could eat it, but not enjoy it. Price-performance negative. When the service was informed of this, they reacted rudely and unfriendly.

Used to be one of my favorite Asians. Two days ago I had lunch with four colleagues. The food was still ok. Except for the soup. Broth with German frozen vegetables - I expect something different from Asian cuisine. Also very expensive for lunch. The service however was the worst. I was already used to the grumpy waitress. Now there was the inattention. To order new drinks you had to go to the counter to draw attention to yourself. If you wanted soy sauce and hot sauce with your meal, you had to ask. In order to then receive a mini bowl of sauce for 5 people. Paying with a card is a hassle and can only be done at the counter. Here we were constantly in the way and had to wait until we could pay in stages. I won't be back any time soon!

Went here with a very good friend for a spontaneous Friday evening meal. Nice service, good advice and recommendation from the menu. Top taste of the dishes, authentic and highly recommended.

Very good food. Extensive vegetarian menu. In the middle price segment (for Stuttgart). Nice, attentive service. Food doesn't take long to arrive. Beer mugs are iced. Schönbuch beer - the best. Reservation needed. Only the parking situation is difficult. You have to hope to find something in the neighboring residential area. The walk to the subway is 10 minutes. One point deducted for that.

We went to Lilavadee for the first time based on a recommendation and were very impressed! The food is very fresh and very, very tasty. You don't feel anything in your stomach either, but instead you feel comfortably full and happy, even with 3 courses. Our table was in the next room (some people have the feeling that you can listen to them and start whispering, which creates a strange atmosphere) because I made a reservation at very short notice. Next time I'll make sure we make a reservation earlier to get a table in the restaurant. About the prices: Absolutely justified prices and, in my opinion, not too expensive. As is well known, every restaurant had to increase its prices in order to survive.

Best Thai in Stuttgart. Very tasty food and nice atmosphere!

I usually order pad thai and chicken fried rice every time. The flavor is not too spicy and is easy for Japanese people to eat. The quantity is large. I think it tastes better than the Thai food I eat in Japan.

It was very restless and not comfortable in the restaurant yesterday. It was fully booked, but only 2 waitresses. That was too much for both of them. Everything was hectic and one waitress basically worked rudely and without a smile. The food was good. But it has little to do with Thai food. Prices are completely excessive. Way too expensive.

The food at this restaurant was okay, not exactly wow-worthy but still decent. It's a bit pricey, but the service was super friendly! 🌟 The place was buzzing with activity, and because it's situated on a street, finding parking was like a treasure hunt!

Wir waren hier noch NICHT beim Essen, denn die extrem teuren Preise passen so gar nicht. Geschmack und Qualität können wir logischer Weise nicht beurteilen, denn neben den hohen Preisen und dem von außen einsehbaren "Ambiente" mit vielen verwelkten Pflanzen an den Fenstern schreckt der Unrat und besonders der Müll im Hinterhof, der auch auf die Küche schliessen lässt, vor einer Einkehr ab! Hier war wohl noch nie die Behörde zugegen...

Seit mittlerweile 15 Jahren einer meiner liebsten Thai Restaurants mit unglaublich konstanter Qualität.

Essen war leider extrem ölig und lag uns noch lange nach dem Besuch schwer im Magen. Guter Service, Ambiente war auch ok, allerdings waren wir so nah zum Nachbartisch, dass wir durchgehend die Gespräche des Nachbartischs gehört haben. Die Preise waren hoch und daher hat sich das Essen für uns überhaupt nicht gelohnt.

Die Wartezeiten bei vollem Restaurant sind zu lang. Der Service ist wie bereits mehrfach angemerkt gut und professionell aber sehr reserviert.

Rein vom Ambiente und dem Essen würde ich auch 4 Sterne geben, da schon authentisch und lecker. Die Preise sind jedoch völlige Willkür. Da wurden kategorisch die selben Preise vergeben und das ohne betriebswirtschaftlich nachvollziehbaren Sinn und Verstand. Leider auch nicht im unteren Preissegment, sodass es einfach viel zu teuer ist. Passt euer Preis-Leistungs Verhältnis an und ihr seht mich wieder als Gast. Sorry, aber das ist in keinem Maße gerechtfertigt.

super schönes Ambiente, zuvorkommende Bedienung und wirklich sehr leckeres Essen. Wir kommen regelmäßig her und ich finde der Tofu ist der beste, den ich je gegessen habe!

Update: Wir waren heute wieder im Lilavadee. Obwohl das Restaurant heute mal wieder ausgebucht war ging es fließend schnell. Aufwändig dekorierte Cocktails sehr schmackhaft. Der Glasnudelsalat war heute so sensationell gut abgeschmeckt. Vorspeisen sind sehr reichhaltig. Hauptgänge waren alle sehr lecker. Ein durchweg gelungener Abend. Was uns jetzt auch schon mehrfach aufgefallen ist ,dass die Serviceskräfte einen immer sofort wieder erkennen und sofort wieder wissen was man gerne isst. Freuen uns schon aufs nächste Mal. Danke an das gesamte Team. es im Lilavadee zu längeren Wartezeiten kommt ist uns bekannt. Nehmen wir auch gerne in Kauf. Wir sind um 18.30 eingetroffen. Konnten auch gleich bestellen. Ca. 45 min. später kam dann auch die Vorspeise. Auf die Nachfrage ob wir Eiswürfel bekommen könnten, da das Bier warm sei wurden die Augen verdreht. Hat uns ein wenig sprachlos gemacht. Nach uns kam ein Tisch mit ca 14 Personen. Ich meinte noch, zum Glück haben wir vorher bestellt. Um ca 20 Uhr hat der große Tisch das Essen bekomme. Um 20.15 haben wir dann nachgefragt wo unser Hauptgang bleibt. Sie haben es schlichtweg vergessen. Na ja. Wir mussten dann gehen, da wir mit Kleinkind da waren. Noch mal 1 Stunde warten, war uns einfach zu lang.

They have a nice terrace and a decent menu. I was here a few times in the last 15 years, and found the food not too bad though not fabulous either. A bit pricy, but the service was quite friendly. A nice place to dine in in good weather.

Wir waren schon mehrere Male dort und wurden nie enttäuscht. Das Essen schmeckt einfach super lecker. Angefangen von den Frühlingsrollen und auch die Hauptessen, egal ob mit Fisch oder Ente, alles sehr zu empfehlen.

Es gibt bessere Thai Restaurants in Stuttgart. Wir haben eine Stunde auf das Essen gewartet und geschmacklig war das Pad Thai eher durchschnittlich. Für 20 Euro pro Hauptspeise kann ich dies nicht weiterempfehlen.

Ein gutes Thai Restaurant, das stets gut gesucht ist. Auf jeden Fall reservieren. Nicht so gut gefallen hat uns, dass wir erst einmal eine halbe Stunde konsequent am Tisch ignoriert worden sind und wir noch nicht einmal Getränke bestellen konnten. Nach Bestellung kam das Essen aber zügig und hat gut geschmeckt. Portionen fand ich sogar eher üppig. Preislich gehoben. Beim Service ist noch Luft nach oben.

Das Restaurant ist von der Lage und der Innenausstattung ansprechend. Das Essen war lecker, aber preislich in einem zu hohen Niveau. Was aber wirklich befremdlich war, war die Unfreundlichkeit der Restaurantchefin. Zuerst wurde man angegangen, da bei einer Gruppenreservierung zwei der Gäste erkrankt waren, von asiatischer Freundlichkeit oder Lächeln bei ihr keine Spur. Nach dem Essen, bei dem jeder reichlich bestellt und getrunken hatte, wurden wir von ihr gefühlt alle zwei Minuten mit ernster Miene nach weiteren Bestellungen gefragt, bis wir den Abend dort aus Unwohlsein beendeten. Auch der Bezahlvorgang mit reichlich Trinkgeld löste bei ihr leider keine freundliche Miene aus. Ich gehe dorthin nicht mehr!

Die Frühlingsrollen, das Pad Thai und die Cocktails waren einfach nur lecker :-) Wir kommen sehr gerne wieder.

Wie immer waren wir auch diesmal sehr zufrieden. Das Essen ist lecker und der Service gut. Der Mai Thai ist der beste den ich kenne. Das Preis Leistung Verhältnis ist stimmig und das Ambiente auch. Wir hatten Glasnudelsalat, Frühlingsrollen, Thom Ka Gai Suppe und dann Ente gebraten (H66) Alles war geschmacklich super und hatte die richtige Schärfe. Das Hauptgericht haben wir geteilt, und es war völlig ausreichend von der Menge. Für mich das beste Thai Restaurant in S.

Früher war das Essen dort ein Traum. Perfekt gewürzt. Super Fleischbund Fisch. Wir waren jetzt die letzten drei Male so enttäuscht vom Essen. Die Preise stehen in keinem Verhältnis zur Leistung! Schade!!!

Seit meiner letzten Bewertung des Lilavadees sind schon wieder 6 Jahre vergangen. Wir sind immer wieder regelmässig dort, ich finde sogar, dass sich der Geschmack verbessert hat. In diesem Sommer waren wir bereits 4 x im Lilavadee mit unterschiedlichen Freunden oder Verwandten. Man sitzt auf Terrasse einfach wunderschön, fühlt sich sehr wohl. Die Terrasse ist auch immer ausgebucht bei dem schönen Wetter. Nicht umsonst, denn das Essen ist sehr gut. Ich habe mich derzeit in H64 verliebt, Ente in einer köstlichen scharfen Sosse...natürlich sind die anderen Speisen auch sehr gut, alle waren immer stets begeistert. Die Cocktails, die wir immer trinken, sind ebenso sehr lecker. Diese Woche wurden die Preise erhäht. Muss halt sein, es ist ja bekannt, dass diese überall steigen müssen und so kostet mein Essen jetzt 22 Euro statt vorher knapp 20. Für mich ein normaler Preis. Die Qualität und der Geschmack sind nämlich sehr gut, Reis ist inclusive. Ausser man ordert nach, dann gibts nen Aufpreis. Die Damen und Herren im Service sind sehr freundlich und haben viel zu tun. Wir kommen gerne wieder.

Gutes authentisches Essen leider schwacher Service und lange Wartezeiten schlechte Luft in den Gasträumen, profitieren vom mangelnden gastronomischen Angebot in die Degerloch.

Ich habe für 6 Personen für einen Sonntag reserviert. Es hat wunderbar schnell geklappt. Man muss nur pünktlich erscheinen:-) Die Gerichte waren wie immer sehr lecker und das Personal war sehr höflich und nett. Wir sind Stammgäste und kommen sehr gerne hier her. Einfach empfehlenswert

Wir sind zur geplanten Reservierung in das Lokal uns wurden am Empfang freundlich begrüßt. Da wird eingeladen waren haben wir den Namen unserer Freunde angegeben. Wegen Doppelnamen und den damit verbundenen Möglichkeit dauerte die Suche im Reservierungsbuch ca. 30 Sekunden. Plötzlich kam von hinten eine Dame und harschte uns an, wir sollten jetzt still sein und ihr zuhören. Wir sollen das Lokal verlassen, unsere Freunde anrufen uns das Thems klären. Wie zu erwarten lag der Fehler aufgrund eines Reservierungsfehler bei unserer Freunden. Aber ich muss mich als Gast nicht so handeln lassen. Bis diese Dame erschien, war alles freundlich uns geordnet. Keine Ahnung warum sie uns so angefahren hat. Für mich hat sich das Lokal erledigt!

Es hat uns (wieder) ausgezeichnet geschmeckt, zunächst die "Tom yam gung" Suppe mit Einlage, danach Entenscheiben sowie Garnelen mit jeweils diversen Gemüsen, alle wunderbar "al dente", beides vorsichtshalber in der nicht scharfen Version. Der "Mai Tai" Cocktail war ebenfalls so gemixt, wie ich ihn liebe. Die Preise der Hauptspeisen liegen um die EUR 20.-, was insg. angemessen ist. Die Atmosphäre ist entspannt und ruhig (auch die eingespielte Musik), die Einrichtung stimmig zurückhaltend und dadurch geschmackvoll (sehr schön ist die aufeinander abgestimmte, verschiedenfarbige Tischwäsche), die Bedienungen waren ausnehmend freundlich und arbeiteten effizient zügig und erkundigten sich auch zwischendurch nach der Zufriedenheit ihrer Gäste (kein Vergleich zu früheren Jahren!). Die Covid 19-Vorgabekontrollen beim Einlass wurden umgesetzt, zwischen den Tischen stehen mit Abstand Plexiglasabtrennungen. Abends sollte wohl lieber rechtzeitig vorab reserviert werden, vor allem, wenn man sich nicht für die erste Sitzung gleich um 18:00 Uhr entscheidet. Die Anbindung zum ÖNV ist dort in Degerloch leider nicht ideal, für den PKW sollte man jedoch einen Parkplatz entlang einer der umliegenden Querstrassen finden.

Zu Viert am Freitag Abend dort gewesen. Abstände zu den Nebentischen waren mehr als ausreichend und mit unauffälligen Plexiglaswänden ebenfalls ausgestattet. Wir hatten zusammen, neben vier Vorspeisen, vier Hauptgänge, zum Teilen. Hühnchen, Ente, Garneelen und Rind. Alles perfekt gegart und gewürzt
