Very tasty, but the lunch menu is too expensive.

H66 and 93 are my two favorite dishes: duck green curry and sea bream fried with chili and garlic, better than in Thailand.

Tastes differ! Personally, I wasn't so thrilled with my choice that I'd go back immediately, but the couple who accompanied me often eat there and recommended the restaurant. If I were to eat there again, I'd probably choose a fish dish instead of a meat one. It's a bit of a shame that we had to actively request dessert, as we were engrossed in conversation for over an hour and no one from the staff asked if we wanted anything else. However, I've noticed this trend in other restaurants as well, so it's not a major drawback. It's definitely worth a visit, and I would recommend making a reservation in advance.

Good Thai food, friendly service. We sat on the terrace; the decor is a bit haphazard and the whole place feels a little cramped and could use a renovation, in my opinion. On our next visit in autumn, we sat in the greenhouse, where there was a draft from the windows and it was too cold. The food prices (€22.50 for many main courses, €9 for four small vegetable rolls) are too high for what's offered 👎🏻

Very, very tasty, but also significantly higher prices. They served a bowl of rice for two people, which wasn't nearly enough for us (my 88-year-old grandmother, who isn't much, and me); the extra portion of rice cost extra.

Five of us ate here on a Monday lunchtime, and the service was truly breathtaking. Many restaurants could learn a thing or two from theirs. The food was also incredibly delicious, and the portions were quite generous. I arrived a little late, so I gave my order in advance, and after I'd been there for no more than 10 minutes, it came steaming out of the kitchen. The only thing that's a bit tricky is finding parking, as the restaurant itself has very few, if any, parking spaces. However, we all found spots in the side streets. If you don't mind walking a bit for good food, I highly recommend coming here.

Die Begrüßung war freundlich. Das Essen war sehr gut. Die Preise waren in Ordnung. Der Service zügig. Es gibt auch ausgezeichnete Thai - Gerichte abseits des üblichen Thai - Standards. Die Immobilie ist zwar ein Sanierungsfall, dennoch kann man drinnen und draussen wirklich komod sitzen. Die Betreiber geben sich erfolgreich Mühe, trotz der abgewirtschafteten Immobilie ein attraktives Ambiente zu bieten. Man darf halt nicht so genau hinschauen, und die Küche entschädigt für vieles.

Hervorragendes Essen - das Niveau bleibt wirklich immer gleich. Wir kommen regelmäßig ins Lilavadee, mal zum Mittagstisch, mal zum Abendessen.

The best Thai food ever. It tastes just like Thailand. The food is fantastic, and the service is very friendly. Whenever we're in Stuttgart, we go there because the food is simply fantastic. We were there in January, and an elderly lady was very aggressive and unfriendly to us. But today, a different employee was there. We asked about the elderly lady, and they told us she's retired. Big thanks.

Food taste like cheap day old moldy meat they washed off. Sauce is no better than some package you buy at Aldi for a euro. This is what you get when you buy a rice patty girl for a dollar. My advice is send that one back to the massage parlor where you bought it from

We had lunch on the terrace with 13 people in beautiful weather. The main courses arrived almost simultaneously; only 3-4 people had to wait a bit while the others started eating. Beforehand, everyone was even served a small vegetable soup, which I hadn't expected at all. From the lunch menu, I ordered the Massaman Gai (chicken breast in Massaman curry with peanuts, coconut milk, and potatoes, served with jasmine rice), which was very tasty and well-seasoned. After the meal, we were offered a complimentary espresso, which was a nice touch. The service was very friendly and pleasant. The ambiance on the terrace is lovely; I can't comment on the interior decor. Overall, a good place to eat Thai food.

This restaurant was not as good as the reviews said. We ordered take out and had to wait an hour for the food, when I arrived to pick up the food I had to wait in the restaurant as well. We had a big order and I paid almost 200 euros, but when I arrived at home a few minutes later I saw that the delivery bag had become wet. The containers the food came in were awful, the lids did not sit on properly so the food spilled. The bag broke before I could the food in the house and one of the dishes spilled on the street. When you pay about 24 euros for one dish the containers and bags should be spill proof. An awful experience, we will never order from there again.

It was super delicious! We had a salad (Laab Bed minced duck - although it only has chicken on the menu) and Gaeng Ped Gai..the staff was very friendly and everything was done super quickly outside on the terrace in great weather! What more could you wish for!

The food was great too. Super fresh, high quality ingredients – you can taste the quality. They are probably still understaffed, making service a bit slow. But the depth and authenticity of the flavors are serious, elevating them to a higher level than the average Thai restaurant. I would definitely go back to try the rest of the menu

After we were ignored at the entrance for 5 minutes, the boss rudely brought us to our table. Another 15 minutes later we received the menus. After about an hour the starter arrived (shrimp in batter => probably freshly caught). The neighboring table still had no food after 1 3/4 hours. Ours came to the next table after 1.5 hours because they thought we had already eaten. When asked, the plates were placed on our table. The food itself was delicious, but we won't be coming back. The restaurant also offers a pick-up service, which apparently takes priority over local guests.

The Lilavadee was THE Thai in Stuttgart for many years. Unfortunately, a lot has changed with the change of ownership last fall. The food is still delicious, even if it is no longer as beautifully presented as it used to be and the portions, for example for shrimp dishes, have become smaller. It's also a shame that the main courses were unfortunately only served lukewarm. However, the service was a real disaster on our last visit! The nimble young ladies in nice costumes have disappeared and have been replaced by staff that I would expect to find in a kebab shop. The “gentlemen” were also more noticeable because they were chatting comfortably at the counter instead of doing their jobs. More than 15 minutes passed before we were served, although the restaurant was not full. The obviously only remaining "real" Thai lady at least gave me all the menu and took her time, for example when I tried the bottle of wine. After another half hour the starters arrived, all of good quality. We then had to wait more than another hour (!) for the main courses, which were consistently more lukewarm than hot. It took an eternity again until the dishes were cleared away. In between, no one thought to ask us if we wanted dessert or even something to drink. Even when paying, there was no question as to whether it tasted good or whether we were satisfied. And so we left the Lilavadee after almost exactly 3 (!!) hours, not exactly thrilled. Too bad!

The food was excellent, it's a shame that it was put on the table without any comment, and the empty plates were just as rudely taken away again. No: did you like it or something similar? I expect more for the prices...

Very big disappointment. We were here for the first time today. And also for the last time. According to the allergen labeling, the vegetarian dishes contain almost all fish sauce and crustacean ingredients. When asked, the matter could neither be explained correctly nor was any effort made to find alternatives. With difficulty we found two vegetarian or vegan dishes, which were then served lukewarm and were watery and blandly seasoned. The order was only taken after 45 minutes of waiting. An ordered starter came after 1.5 hours, the main courses came after just over 2 hours. We definitely won't be coming back and can't recommend it either.

We weren't satisfied. After 2 hours our food was served not very warm. Almost everywhere in the vegetarian dishes there were sauces with fish and shellfish. When we asked, they made no effort to enlighten us.

We have been going to Lilavadee regularly (every 2-3 months) for 20 years and for us this restaurant was and is always a wonderful trip to Thailand in terms of the ambience and the quality of the food. The change of ownership over 3 years ago was a bit bumpy at times. This had actually caught on well again. Although we noticed in the meantime that some of the food had changed. The change 3 months ago came as a surprise. Our visit yesterday was very positive about the quality of the food and the service. However, you can also sense a certain disappointment among the staff and perhaps a certain degree of uncertainty due to another change in ownership. We just hope that the quality and service will return to the same level as before. That's why we like to continue going to Lilavadee because it's still great compared to other Thais, even if the spirit and splendor from its founding days seems to have faded a bit. The staff is still very motivated and I believe that with good guests the restaurant will continue to be top-class Thai. I can understand the dissatisfaction with the vouchers. But what can the new owner do about the fact that the business was not managed properly before and the income from the vouchers was collected without any costs? The anger should therefore be directed more towards the owner in front of it.

This Thai restaurant is simply fantastic! The food was fresh, full of flavor and beautifully presented. The spring rolls were crispy and the sauces went perfectly with them. The staff was super friendly and the whole store had a cozy, welcoming atmosphere. You can tell that a lot of love goes into the work here. I will definitely come back – absolute recommendation!

We know the Lilavadee from before and were extremely disappointed. The service was subpar. Only after we went to the counter was the order taken after 25 minutes. Compared to before, there was very, very little going on. The food came after 1 hour and 15 minutes. It was ok. Kindness is a foreign word. The reordered rice was charged extra. It doesn't work at all. Unfortunately, this means that lilavadee is over for us.

Impudence! Never again! We have been regular customers for many years, despite new ownership and fluctuating quality. But the fact that our 80EUR voucher is not accepted because it has had a new owner since October - that's not possible! We are cheekily told that we should please call the “old” owner ourselves and clarify this with him! This is how you permanently scare away your regular customers. We will never go there again. Goodbye forever!

Aber dass wir unseren 80 EUR Gutschein nicht einlösen können weil seit Oktober ein neuer Pächter drauf ist - das ist unfassbar. Wir sollen den „alten“ Besitzer anrufen und das mit ihm „klären“. Sowas unfreundliches und freches nach so vielen Jahren - weder wir noch unsere Freunde werden je wieder einen Fuß in dieses Restaurant setzen. Auf Nimmerwiedersehen!

I made a reservation on Friday lunchtime for 6:30pm the same day My friend was there earlier because she was arriving with the jag. It was placed in the corner of the window at the exit to the terrace. As a greeting, it was made clear to her that she had to leave again at 8 p.m., which she texted me via WhatsApp. see screenshot. I asked for another table, which was implemented without any problems. My inquiry about the end at 8 p.m., which was not mentioned when making the reservation, revealed that this was suddenly no longer an issue. - No, my friend did NOT misunderstand that. Should white wine be served chilled? - No problem, why is there deep freezing? If the jug is full of hoarfrost, the western longnose won't complain. The candles that are common in other areas of the restaurant came to our table when we were paying. Food was good. I can completely understand all of the many really mixed reviews below. More than once I felt like I was in a template for James Clavell's novels about Noble House Hong Kong.

Das zweifelhafte Essvergnügen beim neuen Pächter von Lilavadee. Die Qualität der Gerichte vom bisherigen Pächter konnte nicht erneut erreicht. Wenn ich thailändisch Essen gehe, möchte ich dies auch schmecken – leider konnte das Gericht als thailändisch geschmacklich nicht wahrgenommen werden, überhaupt war alles sehr schwach gewürzt. Gebratene Entenschreiben wurden nie gebraten, was an der Hautoberseite welche weiß und weich war, also niemals durchgeführt wurde. Die Menge an Soße auf dem Servierteller ist mehr als bescheiden. Nachbestellt kann nicht, obwohl die gleiche Soße bei einem anderen Gericht identisch aussah, aber auch sehr wenig. Die Reisschüssel, welche für 2 Personen gereicht wurde, ist in anderen Restaurants für 1 Person. Die Nachbestellung ist zu bezahlen. Die Tischdecke war zwar sauber, muss jedoch repariert werden, als Gastgeberin hätte ich keine kaputte Tischdecke aufgelegt. Dieses Lokal muss auf mich und meine Gäste künftig verzichten.

Unfortunately, the service is somewhat unfriendly, slow and inattentive, serving the very tasty food in a nice, cozy atmosphere. Sitting on dry land for almost 40 minutes is not very pleasant, and it severely dampened our otherwise positive impression.

Updated October 24: Delicious food and friendly service. We go to Lilavadee regularly and the ownership changed again recently. The kitchen crew and service staff have remained the same. Prices have increased slightly and on our last visit we were served some tasteless rice instead of the usual Thai fragrant rice (which is also on the menu). Let's see if that was just a blip...

I've been going to Lilavadee for years and have always been more than satisfied! It was always a pleasure to eat here and you had a friendly relationship with the waitresses. But what we found today was truly shocking! No known waiter on site and unfortunately the food is absolutely not recommended! The peanut sauce was missing from the satay skewers, the papaya salad wasn't dressed and the main course was cold and there was no red color visible in a red curry. That was really weak! Unfortunately, the atmosphere was also totally cool and you could have thought about turning on the heating in a restaurant this evening. If there was a special situation today because staff were sick or on vacation, they should have just left it alone or made the prices a little more favorable to the customers, but then I find it a bit of a joke to charge the full price even if the quality was really poor on the guest! I was basking in how it was developing, but today you had the feeling that there was a change of operator and you were a guest in a completely new restaurant... So we definitely won't come back! Strangely enough, after 2 bad reviews, there are now 2 reviews with 5 stars, this is definitely dubious!! But everyone has to find out for themselves...

I can only agree with the previous review. I've been to Lilavadee several times and always satisfied. Apparently the owner has now changed and the restaurant was closed for several weeks due to “renovation work”. When we got there it was extremely cold. The heating wasn't on and there was no sign of the renovation. When we arrived it was extremely empty and people were already annoyed and asking for the card. That seemed strange to us. It took a while before we received our tickets. After we ordered, over half an hour passed when we were still sitting on dry land and the waitress came and said the two pieces of paper with both the drinks and the food had been lost. Since we had already been waiting for the drinks for over half an hour and everything seemed a bit strange to us, we left without drinking or eating anything. We didn't have a good feeling that the food would be as good as usual. After the mare recession, our feeling was probably not disappointed and the food was no longer good. So we definitely won't come back!

Used to be one of my favorite Asians. Two days ago I had lunch with four colleagues. The food was still ok. Except for the soup. Broth with German frozen vegetables - I expect something different from Asian cuisine. Also very expensive for lunch. The service however was the worst. I was already used to the grumpy waitress. Now there was the inattention. To order new drinks you had to go to the counter to draw attention to yourself. If you wanted soy sauce and hot sauce with your meal, you had to ask. In order to then receive a mini bowl of sauce for 5 people. Paying with a card is a hassle and can only be done at the counter. Here we were constantly in the way and had to wait until we could pay in stages. I won't be back any time soon!

Very good food. Extensive vegetarian menu. In the middle price segment (for Stuttgart). Nice, attentive service. Food doesn't take long to arrive. Beer mugs are iced. Schönbuch beer - the best. Reservation needed. Only the parking situation is difficult. You have to hope to find something in the neighboring residential area. The walk to the subway is 10 minutes. One point deducted for that.

We went to Lilavadee for the first time based on a recommendation and were very impressed! The food is very fresh and very, very tasty. You don't feel anything in your stomach either, but instead you feel comfortably full and happy, even with 3 courses. Our table was in the next room (some people have the feeling that you can listen to them and start whispering, which creates a strange atmosphere) because I made a reservation at very short notice. Next time I'll make sure we make a reservation earlier to get a table in the restaurant. About the prices: Absolutely justified prices and, in my opinion, not too expensive. As is well known, every restaurant had to increase its prices in order to survive.
