The restaurant has a lovely ambiance – I'll give it that. However, what I absolutely didn't like was the deafening noise level. You practically had to shout to have a conversation. I also found it odd that the staff used the informal "du" form of address without asking. The menu was very limited and could fit on a single sheet of A4 paper. The prices are also on the high end: the roast goose breast cost €35, and the baked apple had to be ordered separately – and even then, it was only a half portion. The clientele is also rather unusual; the restaurant is increasingly becoming a kind of trendy hotspot. If that's your thing, you might feel at home there – but I certainly didn't.

Nice shop. Unfortunately, if you "only" want coffee and cake at 2 pm, you get some strange looks. We could only pay in cash because the card reader wasn't working, which apparently happens quite often. The cake and coffee were okay, but overall, we'd rather go somewhere else next time.

The menu changes regularly. Service is attentive and helpful; you can tell it's been steadily improving since the end of the pandemic. Prices are definitely on the high side, but the quality is good. Reservations are recommended on weekends. Parking can be difficult then. It's manageable on other days.

The name says it all, from the reservation and welcome to the ambiance, and of course the food and drinks. Absolutely fantastic, compliments and many thanks to the team! The three of us were here in October for a cozy dinner and each had a starter and main course – everything was superb. The potato soup alone was simply outstanding! Unfortunately, it's quite a drive for us, otherwise we'd come more often, but we will definitely be back!

We visited the Auermühle again. The service there is always super friendly! Unfortunately, the food wasn't so great this time. It's a shame, we were really looking forward to the roast goose leg, but when it arrived, it was rather pale and lacked crispy skin and roasted flavors. The red cabbage was also as if it had been pureed with an immersion blender. The sauce was good, though. The dessert was the highlight. We also found it interesting, but not great, that the wines come from stainless steel tanks. Despite everything, the Auermühle is a very nice restaurant. Great any time of year! 👍👍

I organized a surprise party for my wife's birthday at Liebevoll – and it was absolutely perfect! Even the communication beforehand was super friendly, reliable, and uncomplicated. On the evening itself, everything was absolutely perfect: The food was fantastic, the drinks were excellent, and the service was incredibly warm and attentive. You could tell that a lot of love and passion goes into everything here. My wife and all the guests were absolutely thrilled – an unforgettable evening! I went to this restaurant with our practice for a training course – and we were absolutely thrilled! The location is simply stunning: surrounded by greenery, with a small stream. This creates a wonderfully relaxed atmosphere. The organization was also top-notch: There is ample parking, and the team on site was consistently friendly, attentive, and accommodating. The food was exceptionally delicious, fresh, beautifully presented, and tasted excellent. The coffee deserves special mention: truly delicious! A fantastic place for training courses, celebrations, excursions, or simply a cozy meal in the great outdoors. Highly recommended!

With its lovely ambiance, this charming place invites you to take a hiking break in beautiful surroundings. The rhubarb cake I ordered arrived very quickly and was truly delicious. The coffee arrived a little later. Unfortunately, the latte macchiato wasn't tasty at all. It tasted like a fully automatic machine with incorrect settings. For €4.50, I would have been happy with a coffee from a portafilter machine. The cappuccino I swapped for wasn't any better... It's a shame that such a lovely location serves such coffee...

Nice place, but: The price for a small 100g (!) bratwurst with a small bun is quite considerable at €7.50 (converted to a regular-sized sausage, it's about €10-11). They charge an additional €1 for the mustard that I innocently asked for at the grill. (The consistency of the sausage is certainly not to everyone's taste.) Not good business practice. My first and last visit.

We had lunch at the restaurant and were able to enjoy a very relaxing meal after our seven-hour drive with two small children. The food was delicious and prepared very quickly. We were particularly impressed by the child-friendliness. In addition to the great large playground and changing tables in both the men's and women's restrooms, our server was friendly and child-friendly, something you rarely experience. Thank you very much for that, and we'll be happy to come back on our next trip!

The atmosphere was great. The food was actually delicious. But unfortunately, we lost our appetite after being insulted in Italian by a pizza chef because we ASKED for someone to maybe slice the pizza. And the behavior afterward, the looks and the words that were spoken, were absolutely terrible. You just wanted to leave and you really had no appetite anymore. She's just not into her job. The waiters, who were super nice, can confirm this, and they were also very uncomfortable. It's a shame...

The food was a solid 10 out of 10. The service was fantastic, and everything else was absolutely recommendable. Even though the place was packed, the servers were super relaxed and got everything done quickly.

In short, the breakfast menu is clear and the prices, like almost everywhere else in restaurants, are hefty. What I absolutely can't stand, however, is when people gossip about their guests. A shout-out goes out to the supposed head chef. We ordered the "Allrounder" twice and pancakes once. Everything was good so far. We found it all very tasty, except for the aniseed notes in the scrambled eggs. When the table was cleared, we shared that we found the breakfast very tasty, only the "aniseed notes" in the scrambled eggs were a bit off. Now, it happened that about four meters away from us, the kitchen staff were bringing in their delivery, and on the way, the waiter asked the head chef, we assume, about the scrambled eggs. All he got was a contemptuous "No anise, there's tarragon in it, maybe they should try a Küstennebel." Well, dear "head chef." As you probably know, French tarragon can also have anise notes. But that aside, as a seasoned chef, you shouldn't feel personally attacked, but rather simply accept and acknowledge criticism. Our praise that we found everything else delicious hasn't been conveyed to you at this point, either. So, I'm happy to repeat it again. With that in mind,

We celebrated our civil wedding there – and it was the best decision ever. We looked at several locations beforehand, but didn't regret choosing the Auermühle for a second. The service was simply fantastic: They let us set the table the evening before, which saved us a huge amount of stress on the wedding day. They even helped us decorate, even though we brought our own decorations – that was so incredibly kind and made us very happy. On the day of the reception, everything was perfect: The food was excellent, the ambiance beautiful, and the service super friendly. Despite the large number of guests, the team never seemed stressed or overwhelmed – everything ran smoothly and professionally. Our guests were thrilled, and we highly recommend this venue to every bride and groom. For us, the location, service, and food made it simply the perfect day! We will definitely consider the Auermühle again in the future for lovely evenings, birthdays, or other celebrations. Many thanks to the entire team for these unforgettable moments!

The price-quality ratio isn't balanced; the food is okay, but not exceptional. The prices, however, are exorbitant; it's quite bizarre that they dare to charge so much for what they serve. I know it's a bit more expensive everywhere these days, but charging almost €26 for a hamburger without fries or salad, for example, is quite expensive. A children's ice cream came with a scoop that had been shot in with a pistol, and my cheesecake came with a whopping four blueberries!!! On top of that, if you ask for a small spoon for a 3-year-old, the staff looks dumb and says there's still a fork on the table... (He can shove that fork where the sun doesn't shine, he probably does anyway). Some staff members are unsuitable (but that doesn't apply to all of them) and should work at McDonald's... They clean up the mess just as slowly as the food arrives. Ultimately, it's a nice and cozy place to eat. I don't think I would go back here to eat, maybe have a drink but that's about it.

The only downside is the prices: €15 for currywurst with fries €28.50 for a Caesar salad €8.50 for a glass of wine €8.00 for a bottle of water!!! Let's be honest: That's pretty, very brave. What average household can afford that? Where will this go from here?

The restaurant is in a truly stunning location and offers a very pleasant ambiance, BUT that alone doesn't justify the prices, which border on extortion. For years, we've noticed that prices have been regularly increasing here. In my opinion, the value for money is no longer at all! Tagliatelle with mushroom sauce for just under €20 was like a child's plate. Even more extreme was the American cheesecake, which was the size of a creme brulee and cost over €10. It's a shame, but in the long run, you lose a satisfied customer.

The service was really friendly and attentive! The location and the selection are also great 😊 But considering we paid €4 for the cappuccino, it was tiny and really not tasty. With coffee beans roasted in-house, you'd expect at least an espresso from a portafilter machine and decently foamed milk. Unfortunately, here, it's only from a fully automatic machine :(

The quality of the food is absolutely abysmal! The service is good and attentive. So is the location. Perfect with a dog and children. But the food is really bad for the price! I had my most expensive burger for just under €26. The meat was absolutely dry, the BBQ sauce was very tough and lumpy, and the bun seemed to be from the day before. It tasted as if the burger had been kept in the fridge from the day before and then reheated. Unacceptable for the price. In retrospect, I only understand why the bread starter was chosen most often. Not many people come here because of the food.

Maybe I was here at the wrong time, but my experience at Auermühle was unfortunately not good at all. 1: I found the combination of ordering at the table, but having to queue for a grill and pizza, very unusual. I'd like to point out that they charge almost €10 for a 130g Krakauer at the grill. That's absurd! 2: The wasps are unbearable. We ordered a waffle and four wasps buzzed around us in between. Absolutely annoying, and it was the same at all the other tables. 3: The prices are so high that I was shocked when I read the menu. Higher prices have become somewhat normal these days, but I found what they charged here rather cheeky considering the very simple menu. (See point 1) Only the service staff were very good and served quickly and also took the money. I will visit this location again at another time when there will be fewer people (and wasps), but at the moment I found it very disappointing.

The Auermühle is a popular spot on the hiking trail, in the middle of the forest – a great atmosphere! The food is delicious: a large selection, fresh salads, great burgers, and juicy meat from the grill. Prices are a bit high, but the quality is absolutely top-notch. The homemade lemonade is amazing! The pizza looked great. Service is friendly, but sometimes it takes a while – it's very busy. Still, highly recommended!

Great location – but unfortunately, the prices have increased. The Auermühle is beautifully situated in the countryside and has a very special atmosphere. The surroundings are ideal for families with children – plenty of space to play and walk, which we really appreciate. The food is good, the menu appealing, and the service is okay. Unfortunately, the prices are, in our opinion, significantly on the high side, which means we will only treat ourselves to a visit occasionally. It's simply become too expensive for us as a regular family outing, even though we really like the location. It's a shame, because with more moderate prices, we would definitely come back more often.

The ambiance was fantastic. The food also tasted really good. However, I was very irritated when a €28 Caesar salad was brought out, which consisted of at most half a mini romaine lettuce, two halved tomatoes, and the chicken breast. Even a side salad would have been larger. It was outrageous to offer such a tiny portion for so much money. After observing that another guest received a perfectly reasonable portion of the same salad, we spoke to the waiter. He told us that this was a normal size, something he himself had apparently already complained about without success. A short while later, he came back and informed us that they had decided to adjust the portion sizes during the course of the evening, and therefore the other guest received a "normal" portion. I was kindly given dessert on the house after we pointed out that it was the bare minimum. Because it was far from filling me. A mini coleslaw for €5.50 is also an absolute disgrace.

Without exception, everyone was more than impressed with the "Liebevoll" restaurant and the service. We were also very pleased that, contrary to the instructions, a large enough table for 15 people had been reserved upon arrival. Many thanks to the entire team. The service was exemplary in every respect, and we highly recommend the "Liebevoll" restaurant.

A great beer garden for the whole family. It's a bit hidden away, and the access road through the forest is in terrible condition, but once you get past that, you're rewarded with a unique atmosphere in the valley. The food and drinks leave nothing to be desired. We'll be back.

A very good restaurant for families with children and parties. If you want to enjoy your meal in peace, this is the wrong place. We had fish soup. The quality was poor. It's not fish soup, it just has a vaguely similar flavor. No comparison to fish soups in other restaurants. Additionally, the price is way overpriced. The cake is fine, both in terms of taste and portion size. The price is right, too. We can't comment on the value for money of the other dishes.

Thanks for the mushroom poisoning I've known and loved the Auermühle since childhood, and even a few hipster Düsseldorfers won't let this beautiful forest beer garden take my fancy. At first, they served generous slices of cake, and the service staff, while a bit out of this planet, was friendly and attentive. That's changed now. Without even looking up, various people, with or without food, busily wander through the restaurant, paying no attention to their guests, so that at some point you're forced to shout loudly into the atmosphere that you'd like to order something. With a little luck, someone will feel responsible. Unfortunately, you have to go out and pay for the cake yourself, which is just annoying and results in you having to keep two receipts for the tax office. The tiny pre-made ice cream sundae for €4 certainly doesn't make a child's heart beat faster. Last Sunday, after eating penne with mushrooms, I was bedridden for two days with a mushroom poisoning. I can only assume that the kitchen's hygiene conditions are appalling. It's a shame to see such a beautiful place go down the drain under careless management. Oh, and considering the money they make there, it's truly outrageous that no money is being invested in repairing the road. The potholes are a real credit to Kosovo 😒

There's plenty of parking, but it gets tight in good weather. The quality is very high: see and be seen. A visit is a must if you're looking for a good location.

Very crowded and very loud. The atmosphere is nice, but for me it was too hectic, too loud, and there were too many children, as there's a playground right next door. The food is OK, but I personally find the prices quite high. You do need to be patient; we waited about 10 minutes for someone to take our order. Drinks arrived after 5 minutes. The food took forever, and two meals didn't arrive at the same time. I think that's a shame. I was done when the second meal arrived at some point. Conclusion: We won't go there again.

So, I went to the Auermühle for the first time in about a year because they used to have a really delicious salad with onions and mushrooms. Unfortunately, that's no longer the case. Yes, there's still a salad with the same name, but it's so poor in quality and has become so expensive that it's no longer comparable. The service was also too "intrusive" for me. You were immediately addressed informally, then ignored again, three different waiters came, you had to pick up your bread yourself with a pager, and so on. No, that doesn't match the price and the ambiance of the Auermühle as I once knew it. The general state of maintenance has also deteriorated in comparison. Tables weren't cleared even though the number of guests was manageable, there are old wooden planks in the playground that children can hurt themselves on, and so on. I'll come back again sometime and hope that things will have improved by then, because the Auermühle was a really good place!

Unfortunately, expectations and reality are far apart. We've been coming here every now and then for years. Friendly staff, nice ambiance, but the quality for our group of seven was consistently below par. If I have a high price level like Liebevoll at the Auermühle, the products have to be right too: We had watery risotto, small salads at a high price, taglierini with summer truffles that were unfortunately pasta in melted butter with truffles sprinkled on top, and then an inedible blueberry cheesecake for dessert... it would be great and, in my opinion, important that something changes there.

Hands down one of the most beautiful locations for a Biergarten—an ideal spot to relax with a cold beer after a nearby hike. The setting and interiors are stunning. The staff were friendly, but the service was very slow. As for the food, it left a lot to be desired. Honestly, if it weren’t for the incredible location and great beer, there’d be little reason to come here just for a meal. Come for the views and the drinks, not the dining.

My cell phone was lost in this restaurant a week ago and, according to a customer, I handed it over to the staff. I've been there several times, but they haven't returned it – each time they say "it's not our responsibility" or "the office is closed." Very disappointing and unprofessional.
