While the atmosphere and the location is absolutely beautiful, the service is absolutely shocking. Every time we come past we struggle to get the attention of the waitors and they unfortunately actively ignore you or tell you they don't have time. Therefore we will no longer visit this location as a 40 minute waiting period, and talking to 5 different waitors with no possible support is just too frustrating. If you do come we recommend standing the queue at the grill, then you are assured to get food as you are able to order it yourself. Unfortunately after the long wait, the waitor got our order wrong and put tuna on the pizza instead of red pepper.

We ordered at 11 a.m. and after an hour of waiting, still nothing came. Since we had a lot of time to talk to the table next to us, we found out that they had been waiting for their breakfast for 1.5 hours.

Beautiful surroundings and great outdoor area. Pizza oven with good, big pizza. But the price is just too expensive. Excursion places are never cheap, but even small drinks simply cost too much, as do food. Cat payment (also Google Pay) is possible. In between, the service disappeared and then had to charge several tables at the same time; but overall friendly.

The location is quaint and great, the staff was very nice and accommodating and the food was really tasty, but here's what I noticed at the Easter brunch: 1. There was no break in the sense that every table had all their food brought to the table, which was then overcrowded. We didn't know how we were going to fit everything on it, it was a bit uncomfortable and encouraged us to eat quickly to make room on the table. I would have preferred a classic brunch and would have liked to get up in between to get just what I wanted from the buffet. 2. It was all too much. We then had most of the leftover food packed up. I can't even imagine how much food was thrown away that day. 3. I thought the price was pretty steep. Therefore I would no longer have brunch there. I paid €80 for 2 people with 2 lattes macchiato and 1 bottle of water, including a moderate TG. I think that's too much for a brunch where you have to leave after 3 hours at the latest.

A very nice place in the forest to relax with rushing water. However, too expensive. Having to pay over €8 for a 0.7 liter bottle of sparkling water is overkill.

A nice place to have a nice meal with the family. Be sure to reserve! There is only one point deducted because it is (now) quite expensive. We had food from the kitchen, from the grill station and also pizza (see photo): very tasty!

Great quality, but still not adequate value for money. A simple mineral water is also very expensive. Easter buffet... I had imagined it somehow differently. When I read about this offer (buffet 10am-1pm), I thought 'that would be a good surprise/idea for a birthday breakfast' for my sweetheart. So asked a few other friends and made reservations for 10 people. Today we were there in time for the start, but then it started - We weren't taken to our table, we were just told where it was - It took about 20 minutes for a waitress to come to take our drink order. - another 30 minutes passed until we finally had our food (and only because we asked several times!!) So we didn't get it until an hour (1!) after we showed up!! It may be that there was a full house today, but THAT was incredibly slow, so we were about to just leave! - Potato and grain rolls were announced, but instead there were only wheat flour rolls and a few slices of dark bread. The rest of the food was OK, but nothing “special” to justify the price per person. We weren't asked if we wanted anything else, but had to take action ourselves I won't come here anymore!

Were just there for brunch. Ordered a table for 10 a.m., we were able to order the drinks about 20 minutes later when someone came. At around 10:48 a.m. we went to the counter to find out when our food would arrive. We wanted to give a friend a surprise and arranged to meet at “Liebesvoll”. The fact that we had to wait so long was anything but planned. The staff couldn't bring us either because they were in full operation, unfortunately just not to our table. We were told it was Easter and it was full. Our problem? If I do have reservations, then I have already prepared something. If I can't feed masses of people, then I won't take as many orders/guests, and I don't need to be a trained restaurateur to do that. The food was simple and really nothing special. I can get salmon, scrambled eggs and some cold cuts in any other store, but I have to pay a lot less elsewhere. Over €100 for 2 adults and 2 children - SERIOUSLY???? But I can go “for breakfast” on many days. 5 rolls for 5 children and 5 adults? Where were the multigrain and potato rolls? Baguette sticks because it's cheaper? The pancakes were the worst I/we have ever eaten. Definitely suitable as a filling material, but be careful (!), you might choke on the dry consistency. I didn't know you could make such a mess of such a really simple dish. The serving staff was nice, but we always had to order drinks on demand because the poor people had to complete their training sessions with the full trays. All in all, it was an experience that cannot be viewed as positive. The landscape is beautiful, but that's about it. It's a shame, we expected more from it. We won't be coming back, which is certainly not noticeable since the “Liebevoll” prefers rosé and white wine drinkers. I definitely imagine a family restaurant for excursions differently. Good luck with your business acumen.

It's always worth it to have a drink or food at Liebvoll in der Auermühle. It doesn't matter if you go with kids, your family or with your dog. For all kinds it is a lovely and cosy place.

For a Merguezwust with fries 14.50 euros 💶, 1 beer 6.60 euros - is that still possible? Not even sausage and fries as one dish comes at the same time?! First the sausage and 15 minutes later the fries. They are the most expensive excursion location in the wide area. We often go to locations and were there with 5 people and received or picked up the various dishes within 50 minutes. So, the last one got his food 50 minutes after the first. It would have been nice - to eat together 🥘 but you get that because of 3 kitchens? not there? Your staff is very friendly and nice - they can't help it. I wanted to tell you that because you could only change something - if you knew - what was going wrong.

It used to be a nice, popular place many years ago, but now everything is overpriced and not of high quality. Once the sun comes out, it's incredibly crowded and you're all squeezed together. The nature around it hasn't really recovered anymore, the children used to always play on the hillside, now they sit at the table with their iPad with their snobbish rich parents...

I used to like this place a lot but recently service has been get worse. If you don't prioritise your consumer service and treating people well, you'll fail long term. Don't know if I'll be back....

Great excursion destination in the Angertal, especially for families with children.

Great location, but unfortunately that was it. Some of the waiters were very unfriendly and shouted at each other in a very unfriendly manner. Poor service, including strict separation between tables/areas. Very poor value for money and very small portions: the children's meal for 11€ was so small that not even a small 5-year-old child could get enough of it (4 mini sausages with mustard and an absolutely mini portion of carrot vegetables), the "large" salads for 20€ were also absolutely not sufficient in quantity (just a few sad leaves with chicken) and the salad was neither particularly fresh nor were there any tasty ingredients included. The lettuce leaves were huge (not even remotely cut) and the dressing was barely noticeable. There were also 2 small slices of baguette (1 mini edge piece) and the aforementioned apples were completely missing. It's a real shame because the location is really nice.

Today we were disappointed by the basically nice restaurant. Yes, it was packed today with great weather, we knew that too. But when we wanted to order something to eat in the early afternoon, the waiter told us that there was only tarte flambée left, and only a few types. All other dishes on the menu can no longer be ordered. We ordered Alsatian style tarte flambée, but that also left a lot to be desired. Instead of spring onions, there were “normal” onions, very roughly chopped, on the tarte flambée. The bacon that was supposed to be on it had been replaced with cooked ham. In terms of taste, it’s anything but a highlight. We also noticed that many guests, including those who had ordered after us, received completely normal dishes. When we asked, we were told that the kitchen was overloaded and that no orders had been accepted in the meantime. With open communication and pointing out the problems in the kitchen, everything wouldn't have been a problem at all. So we just feel fooled (I don't want to use the more rustic word here). The Auermühle has lost us as a guest. Maybe they don't need it anymore. It's a shame, because the location and the food are basically good, as we knew it from the past.

Yes, we can recommend it. Large excursion restaurant in the countryside, which quickly gets crowded, especially in summer. We ate inside the restaurant during the week, it was excellent, but the price wasn't for the small wallet either! But very tasty, you have to treat yourself. Otherwise the menu is very clear, the range of dishes could be a little larger.

The loving restaurant in the Auermühle is a beautiful location in a great ambience. Very well thought out and stylish interior design. All employees are friendly and attentive, but never intrusive. Professional. The food has always been very tasty and beautifully prepared. However, the prices are also very high. Vegan: Oat milk in coffee is possible. Unfortunately there are no vegan dishes for the afternoon, such as cakes or waffles.

Today was the first, but definitely not the last, time we ate at the Auermühle. Both the grilled salmon and the mustard roast, along with the side dishes, were excellent and perfectly prepared. The price-performance ratio is more than guaranteed! The service is relaxed, friendly and accommodating. The furnishings and ambience are tasteful, the spacious windows invite you to look out into the beautiful surroundings. We'll be back!!!

Update 01/25: Unfortunately, long waiting times. Update: 12/2024: 5 stars again. Rarely have we eaten better and the service was good. Update 03/2024: Service in outdoor catering could be more attentive. Full marks for all 3 dishes and in all categories. Very nice surroundings and also a nice room on the 1st floor, service was very attentive and friendly, but unfortunately overwhelmed. The breakfast for €35 was completely overpriced and the selection was subpar: no salmon, if something was out of stock you had to wait forever before it was refilled. 1 type of jam, grain food for muesli (but neither natural yogurt nor milk), 2 different scrambled eggs (no other eggs)... Nothing out of the ordinary at all, I wouldn't recommend it to anyone, there were 90 of us and we were all similarly disappointed, what a shame!

Very cozy atmosphere and super nice staff! We were there for a Christmas family dinner, on the Christmas holidays. So the restaurant came up with a concept. There was a kind of buffet until 7 p.m. and then you could order à la carte. The à la carte menu was great. There was something for everyone. Requests and allergies were also taken into account very carefully and implemented brilliantly. So all in one a really delicious meal, with a nice ambience.

This year we went to the goose party in the Auermühle. After we were so happy there, we had to come back for dinner. Cuisine, service and ambience was great. Both in winter and in summer where we were always happy to be guests. The goose was a dream!

Ich wollte das Event "Dieter Nuhr - Jahresrückblick 2024" buchen und anschl. im Liebevoll zu viert einen Tisch für das anschl. Abendessen reservieren. Das zum Vorverkaufsbeginn am 13.11. um 11:00 Uhr schon für beide Veranstaltungen keine Tickets mehr zu bekommen waren, obwohl ich nur wenige Sekunden! nach Freigabe 4 Tickets angeklickt habe, ist eh schon ärgerlich. Bei meinem anschl. Anruf im Liebevoll und meiner Nachfrage, ob das seine Richtigkeit hat, kam es jedoch noch dicker. Ich wurde von einem Herrn B. beschimpft und ich solle ihn doch Zitat. "am Arsch lecken!" Wenn er so mit potenziellen Gästen umgeht, sollte er den Beruf wechseln und sich aus der Gastronomie zurückziehen. Das Liebevoll, welches wir an diesem Abend eigentlich gerne getestet hätten, um eine größere Feier mit ca. 100 Gästen, dort zu veranstalten, ist nun aus unserer Liste gestrichen.

Service Hedy was extremely nice and accommodating! Currywurst is a Betliner sausage - you just have to know. In the Ruhr region you expect a grilled sausage. Cake is a big piece, but you can build houses with it. The students at K chenatand don't know a second course. It takes a correspondingly long time. Great atmosphere, great for families with children as long as they have the appropriate funds in their wallets. Definitely recommended as a restaurant for business meals. I have never been disappointed in this regard.

Nice place but service is so bad I wouldn't recommend anyone to come. The first time there, Keller was macho and just stood around instead of serving. On the second visit we sat for over 20 minutes without a waiter coming to us. We waved several times, but eventually left.

Really impressive location for conferences, breaks from a hike or bike ride, as well as overnight stays or just eating. The unique mill, steeped in history, is flanked by good cuisine and friendly service. Due to the quickly exhausted parking spaces, we recommend either arriving by bike or a little patience.

Excellent food and very good, friendly and dedicated service. In the summer you can sit outside and order something from the food stations. The risotto was great.

A very great restaurant in beautiful surroundings. The food is excellent and can only be recommended! Very friendly staff. What was perfect for us was that we could park our motorhome in the attached parking lot. So we were able to take a great walk in the surrounding area the next morning!

We went to the Auer Mühle for dinner today. The atmosphere is very nice and there are plenty of opportunities for children to play. This is a great place to sit outside on nice days. Cakes, waffles, tarte flambée and, among other things, pizza are prepared there. The food here is great, but it also comes at a price. Still, it's worth the money. Unfortunately I have to deduct a point for the service. Friendliness is not the strength and there was no information about which dishes had to be picked up (and where). Only when the beeper went off was I told that burgers and fries were being brought. What was positive here was that the food came quite quickly and almost at the same time.

You can sit very well there. Nice atmosphere and even dogs are welcome there. Unfortunately, I find the prices sometimes very excessive. Some dishes are still affordable. Service was very rude (I think the waitress who served me and my friends was called Wiky or something, but I'm not sure). In any case, our waitress ruined our day. Die Auermühle ist wundervoll gelegen. Im Wald, ein Bächlein fließt. Der Außenbereich ist riesig, der Parkplatz dazu nicht ausreichend. Die Sitzgelegenheiten schön angeordnet und die meisten Plätze sind unter Schirmen, geschützt gegen Sonne und Regen. Es gibt einen großen Kinderspielplatz. Das Personal ist freundlich. Die Preise sind sehr hoch. Die Qualität der Speisen entspricht dem nicht. Ich hatte eine Dorade mit Erbsen und Artischocken für 26,50 €. Für diesen Preis erwarte ich einen ganzen Fisch. Ich bekam eine tiefen Teller, gefüllt mit (gefühlt) einer Tüte TK-Erbsen und einer zerkleinerten Artischocke in irgendeiner Brühe. Obenauf lagen zwei kleine, platte Stücke Fisch. Alles relativ geschmacklos. Wie hatten auch zwei Vorspeisenplatten für je 12 €. Ein paar Scheiben nicht besonders frisches weißes Brot und einige dunklere Scheibchen. Ein Schüsselchen Oliven (die waren sehr gut) und zwei Schüsselchen Sauce. Eine Sauce mit Minzgeschmack und eine sehr fettige Sauce die schmeckte wie eine Mischung aus Mayonnaise und Tomatenmark.

The perfect place for parents with children. It couldn't be better and you can sometimes leave a Rhenish x for a U with a slightly overpriced breakfast. The surroundings and the service that compares well definitely make up for it. We will come back regularly and look forward to it. Thank you

The restaurant is idyllically located in the middle of the green valley. The outdoor area is large and was equipped with large umbrellas because it was raining, so you could sit outside even when it rained. With 3 kitchens, one inside with a grill station and another outside, we were able to eat quite easily at the same time, even with over 20 people. In the long run the benches become uncomfortable but with the cushions it was easy to bear. The food was very good and the selection was extensive.
