Very great restaurant, super relaxed and nice service, great for children! Food was great, on the table quickly and a good portion too! The son immediately got a holiday job offer :-)

It's always a pleasure but dishes that I found really tasty and appealing simply disappeared from the menu 😔

The food is delicious, always recommended, but you also pay a little more for it. Service is friendly. However, employees should not be reprimanded in front of customers. Otherwise everything was great. The limos as well.

A while ago I gave this 5 stars. But since the owners and the chef changed, the price-performance ratio is no longer appropriate. The steak is not cooked to the desired level and the quality of the side dishes has deteriorated (house fries and Bimi).

We had dinner at Letterman today. The service was great, we were constantly asked if everything was good or if we needed anything else👌 Big compliments to the kitchen, we had a starter platter, whole as a main course and something sweet for dessert. Each course in itself was super tasty and beautifully prepared👌 we would love to come back. You get 5 stars 🌟

Es galt den freien Tisch laut Personal selbst zu finden ,in dem wir nach nicht eingedeckten Tischen suchen sollten. Die Kommunikation des Personals über mehrere Tische sowie die unterschiedliche Musik aus der Küchen und im Essbereich waren sehr laut. Nach mehrmaliger Aufforderung die Musik in der Küche abzustellen könnten wir essen . Das Fleisch war statt medium ,fast durch. Das Geschirr meiner Partnerin war zu klein ,so das ihr Essen von Teller viel. Nach unserem Eindruck wirkt das Restaurant eher einer Bar ,was in der Vergangenheit nicht der Fall war .

Mein Besuch in diesem Restaurant war eine unerwartete Zeitreise. Während ich als einzelner asiatischer Gast auf einen Tisch wartete, sah ich, wie zwei Kellnerinnen miteinander kommunizierten. Eine von ihnen zog ihre Augen zurück, um offenbar auf meine asiatische Herkunft hinzuweisen. Es war ein Moment, der mich direkt in die düsteren Kapitel der Geschichte zurückkatapultierte, als solche Gesten und Vorurteile gesellschaftlich akzeptiert waren. Gleichzeitig fühlte es sich an wie ein Vorgeschmack auf eine mögliche Zukunft, in der asiatische Menschen weiterhin mit solchen respektlosen Verhaltensweisen konfrontiert werden könnten. Wenn Sie sich schon immer gefragt haben, wie es sich anfühlt, Zielscheibe von Diskriminierung zu sein, könnte dieses Restaurant ein interessanter „Reiseort“ für Sie sein. Für alle anderen: Es gibt viele bessere Orte, an denen Respekt und Höflichkeit keine Fremdwörter sind.

Meat dishes are really recommended.

We were passing through and saw the restaurant, including the good reviews on Google and NeoTaste. Spontaneous lunch - friendly service, who always kept an eye on us and was well timed. The food was down-to-earth, fresh and tasty. The atmosphere was very pleasant and the price was also reasonable. Therefore the restaurant keeps what the reviews promise. Clear recommendation!

Unfortunately I'm a little disappointed. My burger was cold, when I asked I was told that it “should be like that”. I've never had a COLD burger, but if that's the concept, it should be noted on the menu. I paid €16 for the cold burger, and almost all of the side dishes had to be ordered separately. Unfortunately, the liquid chocolate center was missing from the chocolate cake with the liquid chocolate center. There seemed to be something wrong with the food, because after leaving the store I was tormented by long-lasting, severe nausea. Luckily, thanks to a tablet, everything “stayed in”. All in all, I can't recommend the store under any circumstances and I won't be going there myself.

We didn't have a table reserved and could only order takeaway, but the food was really tasty 🍔🥪 I also really liked the ambience and am thinking about celebrating my birthday here.

We received excellent quality food there and can only recommend the Letterman Bar & Grill. There are enough parking spaces nearby. From our point of view, the location is one of those with a higher level. Anyone visiting Leipzig should definitely visit this location for a pleasant end. The two of us treated ourselves to a wonderfully aged steak. It was worth the price. Thank you very much for the friendly service.

Service friendly and tried hard, but apparently aware of the quality. Ambiance can be pleasant, but it always depends on the food. And that was horrible. In a steakhouse burger without a patty but with minced steak, really unpleasant. The rump steak was simply bad. This is certainly not because of the cow, but because of its age. The meat for me was twice as rubbery and tough, so it wasn't an "isolated case". I wish I could write something else, it's my first really negative review, but it was just disappointing and this is the second time.

It was just really good. The focus is clearly meat. Alternatives are available. Every meal was on point. Great doneness, great taste. The service is great. All. Always. That's always fun. Booked as a Christmas party. There was another larger party there, so we were accommodated in the cold, dimly lit basement. A table of 10 rickety individual tables and an outdoor table that was set up 2 steps away from the toilets awaited us. To eat... I had a cheeseburger where the beef tasted unseasoned and the fries with it weren't great either. Colleagues also had very mixed comments about the steaks. The best thing was the very, very friendly service and the quick preparation of the food.

Absolutely terrible experience - never again! I can say with certainty that this was one of the worst experiences I have ever had at a restaurant. The burger was an absolute disaster: the meat was obviously an industrially produced patty that had just been warmed up - tasteless, dry and simply inedible. The steakhouse fries? A bad joke. Small, old and in the deep fryer for far too long - they tasted burnt and musty. To make matters worse, I have had gastrointestinal problems since then and am currently sitting on the toilet with stomach cramps as I write this review. It's unbelievable that something like this is even served! But the food wasn't the only problem: the waiter was unprofessional, attacked guests with sometimes sharp insults and created a toxic atmosphere with the "cooks" who came out of their snack kitchen every now and then that would spoil anyone's appetite. I can only advise anyone not to eat or work there - no one should have to endure such an environment. Even if I were offered a free meal, I wouldn't eat there again. Absolute waste of time and money. Save yourself the hassle and look for another restaurant!

We were here for the third time. The service people are super nice and very competent when it comes to steak/meat advice. The food was always there very quickly. I can only recommend it. We will definitely come a fourth time. The overall package of service, speed and taste/quality is unbeatable and recommended.

Unfortunately the price and quality are not right. Waiters only do the bare minimum such as taking orders, bringing them and clearing them away. The salad was a ready-made mix and I'm also sure that the sauce wasn't fresh but from a bag. It's a real shame

Unfortunately disappointed, the barrel shower was non-carbonated. It was very dark in the restaurant and at first I thought it was closed. We didn't ask if everything was okay and that's why we didn't give a tip. Too bad. My wife wasn't happy either.

We were the only guests for a late lunch around 3pm on a weekday. Accordingly, we were able to order very quickly. Our main course arrived after about 25-30 minutes. We both ordered a rump steak with various side dishes. All in all, the food was very tasty. The cooking level of the meat was medium and it was fried to perfection. For my taste it was a bit disturbing that the steak was served with a lot of sea salt in advance. The sweet potato fries were incredibly well made and went really well with the garlic dip. The homemade lemonades are also definitely recommended.

Absolutely shocking experience! The waitress was unfriendly from the start and made her impatience clear with every question about the food. The peak of impudence came when paying: “Really now? So little tip? But we live from it.” I have never experienced such audacity! First of all, I'll give it another try. Five of us met for a social evening. The reserved table was waiting for us. The young waitress was very attentive and the first drinks came quickly. But after three quarters of an hour the restaurant was full. And from then on it was over. We would have liked to order our food, but even calling in (like at school) didn't get any attention. After a long time, the waitress came. But we paid and moved on to another restaurant. The apology was meant kindly; an employee was probably absent. It would have helped if the strategy hadn't been to look the other way, but rather a short piece of information like "I haven't forgotten you, I'll be with you shortly" But I liked the card and I will come again. But that doesn't work at all. If dogs are allowed in a restaurant (I have one myself), then I don't want to see the chef give the dog a T-bone Steak bones are brought, which are then eaten on the spot. That's what Fredsplatz is for. At home. Apart from that, it's not good for the animal either. Roasting materials and spices. Next time, pack it up and give it to your guest to take home.

Unfortunately, the dry-aged steak as well as the vegetables and the fries were burnt black. This means you only taste a smoky, charcoal flavor and the taste of the tender meat inside is overshadowed. We were told this was due to the 600°C lava grill. But in our opinion, the grilled food should not be burned so black. However, if that's what you want and you want everything to have a hard, smoky, burnt surface, then ok. But then it's not our taste. Unfortunately, both cocktails (Mojito and Moscow Mule) were not good either. Since the restaurant is also a bar, you would think they would know something about cocktails. Unfortunately that wasn't the case. The Mojito completely lacked sweetness because there was no cane sugar. And the Moscow Mule contained significantly too little spicy ginger or ginger beer. This made him very lax.

Had dinner there on Tuesday, it was really great. The food was really delicious and the service was very friendly. We were completely satisfied.😁

Really excellent 👍 we all ate spare ribs and they loved the meat and the spicy BBQ sauce. The service was quick, courteous and highly professional. What can I say, we sat outside comfortably by a tree in bright sunshine with good food. What more could you want? We will certainly come back.

We ordered Chef Deluxe Burger, I liked the taste but it was very unusual when they brought pieces of steak instead of a schnitzel.

Very attractive restaurant in Leipzig with excellent cuisine. Meat lovers will get their money's worth here. The steak was grilled to perfection and the ribs were very tender.

We went to Letterman full of expectations based on the good reviews. However, expectations were dampened right from the start. It took about 15 minutes before we even got a card. Then the appetizer came before the drinks. Bread was served with it. The bread was a real disgrace. It tasted like it was from the day before. Unfortunately the boss wasn't there to share a sample. The main course, the “Letterman Grill Platter”, was unfortunately not much better. I have never eaten such dry Duroc pork. All in all, unfortunately not recommended and not appropriate for the price.

Sorry, everything was promising, but I've had much better beef tenderloin. The side dish (baked potato was anything but fresh) and the sour cream dip was standard. The service was very friendly and attentive. The tomato sauce from the children's menu was the tomato soup from the starter menu. Somehow it wasn't appropriate for children. The carpaccio wasn't anything special either. That wasn't worth the money.

The best thing first: the service was incredibly nice and catered to all requests! Big praise. Unfortunately the food wasn't good at all. Some of the meat in the burger was raw and overall it had no taste. It had a chewy consistency like when I was a child at Grandma's and you had to chew for a long time. We also discovered a hair in the burger. The fries are great. There were also a lot of flies at the table, which made the visit a rather unpleasant experience. Unfortunately we won't be coming back.

We went to Letterman Leipzig for lunch on a Wednesday, without a reservation. Service very friendly, atmosphere appealing. 1 x fillet steak, 2 x cheeseburgers, everything delivered quickly, cooked as ordered. The only negative point: too much coarse salt on the plate with the fillet, it dissolved in the gravy, which made it unpalatable, which was a shame. Cocktail was delicious. Cheeseburger was ordered without onion, a hint that the burger sauce also contains onions would have been good. Prices acceptable. We'd love to come back.

Great restaurant. Great card! Where else can you find beef tartare (my favorite). Huge selection of side dishes. Best beef and amazing portions. If I were from Leipzig this would be my new local bar! Attentive service and the steak was on point.

At least the ambience is nice. Otherwise: We waited about two hours for the food, even though it wasn't complicated or particularly crowded. We had one drink during the entire stay (approx. 2.5 hours). With empty glasses on the table, I expect the staff to ask for another drink - but nothing. When the food finally came, you stuffed yourself into the burger with the very crispy, dry bun and the very firm, dry patty without a drink. Since there was nothing to rinse up with, we left. Pure disappointment. We definitely won't be coming back.

The food is absolutely outstanding! Not exactly small prices, but worth every cent! I don't want to have to worry about anything when I go to a restaurant. I'm happy to pay a higher price for this than if I cook at home. Otherwise I can also prepare it at home. This store is an absolute example of that! The waiters are attentive, in the background, and always there when you need them. That's service! They are exceptionally friendly, and the food is absolutely on point and excellent! Both food and service were very good. The fillet steak was prepared just right, and the fries and grilled vegetables on the side were also excellent. We recommend. Service was great too, just a small note about the atmosphere: different music plays in the kitchen than in the dining room and if you sit near the kitchen it's a bit tiring when the two overlap. I was there alone and it didn't bother me that much, but I don't think I would be able to carry on a conversation very well. But the food and service were great! Looking forward to next time.

We ordered a meat platter. All types of steaks were overcooked and dry. Only the ribs were excellent.

Draußen sitzt es sich nicht schlecht, auf jeden Fall ist es relativ zentral in Leipzig und die Straße nur mäßig befahren. Wir haben hier lediglich ein Bier getrunken, es war soweit in Ordnung, auch die Bedienung. Essen können wir jedoch dementsprechend nicht bewerten.

More appearance than reality: quality acceptable, price excessive, ambience average. The Lettermann wants to be a classy steakhouse, but doesn't deliver. The service style and quality are more reminiscent of Hooters or Hard Rock Café: leftover food under the table, high chairs, casual jargon and an ordering process that leads to overwhelm with the slightest deviation. All of this may be acceptable in a casual restaurant, but it doesn't fit with the high price and upscale brand promise. The result is disappointing in all categories. Visually there are creative approaches, but the overall picture is immature. The meat was okay, but the side dishes were put together carelessly. Why is there an overcooked sprig of rosemary on my steak? What's the use of an unmarinated lettuce leaf next to it? Frozen chives on the mashed potatoes and bean sprouts in the Caesar salad – these are symbols of a cuisine that relies more on effects than on well-thought-out compositions. Well meant, but missed the mark.

My friend and I went to Lettermann in Leipzig today and it was fantastic. While I am a passionate steak eater, for my companion it was the first steak of his life. What can I say? Service was super nice and quick. Special requests were no problem! The ambience was pleasant, the music was a good mix of modern songs in relaxed versions, which wasn't intrusive or too loud, but rather framed the surroundings well! Let's get to the food: H A double M E R! The appetizer platter for 2 was beautifully presented, had a little bit of everything and was excellent in taste! Our appetite was stimulated by a variety of really well combined flavors and we were really looking forward to our steaks. 300g or 400g fillets - one rare and the other medium-rare. Both perfectly cooked, with a fantastic blend of spices! I would go as far as to say that I consider it to be one of the best, if not the best, rare steak of my life! There was also the mushroom mix, green asparagus, sweet potatoes and garlic bread. Unfortunately we ran out of room for dessert, so I can't say anything about it. We had a wonderful date evening in a really great atmosphere with the best food! We'll definitely come back here! 1000% recommendation ❤️🤌

First we stood at the door to get a seat. An employee called "door" but no one came. After a long wait, we simply picked out a table. Our son ordered pasta, which was really completely over salted. We got a replacement meal again, but there was no salt at all and the noodles were completely cooked soft. I don't want to go into detail with our food, there was nothing. Unfortunately, every now and then you have bad luck.

We felt comfortable from the start! Modern but still cozy atmosphere. Very friendly and fast service. This was our third time at Letterman and the food was always very good!! We will definitely come back soon and leave in a good mood!

Tartar smelled funny and all of the meat were expired. Bread was also rock solid and chicken was dry. Gazpacho was good though.

Avoid. One of the worse meals I have ever had. Waited over two hours between the end of the starters and when the main course appeared. And that was with us complaining. And they still missed one of the main courses. The steaks were over cooked. And to top it off, the staff could not care less. They never once apologised. Every table seemed to be having the same issues.

When I arrived I was rudely asked if I had reserved...there were still 2 tables available. Then I ordered an apple spritzer, which wasn't cool but when I asked, I got ice cubes without any problems. Then I ordered a starter plate and had to wait over 3/4 hours for a fallen bruchetta and the bread that went with it, which I finally got after asking for the 3rd time. The burger for the main course was cold and the chilli cheese sauce was not chilli. When it came to the bill, the crowning glory was that there wasn't 10 cents left, so I rounded it up and tipped 90 cents because I just wanted to leave. All in all very disappointing although the store made a very good impression!

What should I write? Great atmosphere. Funny, nice and attentive service. And an absolutely delicious meal, with an acceptable and appreciable price. As a starter I had 3 drumsticks with hot sauce (great), then 1000 grams of spare ribs (mega) and finally a chocolate pear cake (very tasty). With drinks we stayed just under 45 euros per person and the food was worth every cent. Keep it up….

I was going to give 3 stars, but the steak was actually very good. Unfortunately, the service was very slow - it took 40mins for them to take my order. Clearly understaffed...

We dined in this restaurant for the first time yesterday. However, this one time will also be the last time. As soon as we entered the restaurant and were greeted by the waitress, we noticed that the staff were in a heated mood. We had four different waitresses during the evening, which is why no one noticed that our starter was only at our table an hour after we ordered it and the main course took another 1.5 hours. So we waited a total of 2.5 hours for our food (!) It should also be mentioned that a waitress suddenly noticed that our starter was incomplete. The food itself was “okay”, but neither good nor outstanding, as other guests already described in their review. The highlight of the evening, however, was settling the bill. This took another 30 minutes to arrive. The waiter said the amount 3 times (!) in the expectation that we would round the amount up for a tip (card payment). The situation was very unpleasant. If you wait 2.5 hours for your food and the reason for this is that it is busy, even though the people sitting next to you got their food much earlier, it should be understandable that you are not willing to tip on top of that. We cannot expressly recommend the restaurant. The staff was hopelessly overwhelmed and uncoordinated. The food wasn't spectacular. At least we would have expected more for the price. Unfortunately a disappointing evening for us.
