Wir waren total begeistert. Das Essen war fantastisch, das Personal sowas von nett und aufmerksam. Rundrum einfach klasse. Sehr, sehr gerne kommen wir wieder

Qualität leider nicht wie erhofft. Das Fleisch war teuer rund eher nicht so toll. Ich würde hier nicht wieder hingehen. Bedienungen waren sehr nett.

Very attractive restaurant in Leipzig with excellent cuisine. Meat lovers will get their money's worth here. The steak was grilled to perfection and the ribs were very tender.

We went to Letterman full of expectations based on the good reviews. However, expectations were dampened right from the start. It took about 15 minutes before we even got a card. Then the appetizer came before the drinks. Bread was served with it. The bread was a real disgrace. It tasted like it was from the day before. Unfortunately the boss wasn't there to share a sample. The main course, the “Letterman Grill Platter”, was unfortunately not much better. I have never eaten such dry Duroc pork. All in all, unfortunately not recommended and not appropriate for the price.

Sorry, everything was promising, but I've had much better beef tenderloin. The side dish (baked potato was anything but fresh) and the sour cream dip was standard. The service was very friendly and attentive. The tomato sauce from the children's menu was the tomato soup from the starter menu. Somehow it wasn't appropriate for children. The carpaccio wasn't anything special either. That wasn't worth the money.

The best thing first: the service was incredibly nice and catered to all requests! Big praise. Unfortunately the food wasn't good at all. Some of the meat in the burger was raw and overall it had no taste. It had a chewy consistency like when I was a child at Grandma's and you had to chew for a long time. We also discovered a hair in the burger. The fries are great. There were also a lot of flies at the table, which made the visit a rather unpleasant experience. Unfortunately we won't be coming back.

It was a very nice evening at Letterman. The steak was a poem, the fried potatoes and the grilled vegetables were also very tasty. The service was very friendly and came by regularly. Gladly again!

The terrace is very pleasant. Very good service. The food is very rich and abundant. We ate meat and we liked it very much. Good value for money. They also included all the information about allergens in the menu, which was very useful when eating gluten-free.

We went to Letterman Leipzig for lunch on a Wednesday, without a reservation. Service very friendly, atmosphere appealing. 1 x fillet steak, 2 x cheeseburgers, everything delivered quickly, cooked as ordered. The only negative point: too much coarse salt on the plate with the fillet, it dissolved in the gravy, which made it unpalatable, which was a shame. Cocktail was delicious. Cheeseburger was ordered without onion, a hint that the burger sauce also contains onions would have been good. Prices acceptable. We'd love to come back.

Great restaurant. Great card! Where else can you find beef tartare (my favorite). Huge selection of side dishes. Best beef and amazing portions. If I were from Leipzig this would be my new local bar! Attentive service and the steak was on point.

At least the ambience is nice. Otherwise: We waited about two hours for the food, even though it wasn't complicated or particularly crowded. We had one drink during the entire stay (approx. 2.5 hours). With empty glasses on the table, I expect the staff to ask for another drink - but nothing. When the food finally came, you stuffed yourself into the burger with the very crispy, dry bun and the very firm, dry patty without a drink. Since there was nothing to rinse up with, we left. Pure disappointment. We definitely won't be coming back.

The food is absolutely outstanding! Not exactly small prices, but worth every cent! I don't want to have to worry about anything when I go to a restaurant. I'm happy to pay a higher price for this than if I cook at home. Otherwise I can also prepare it at home. This store is an absolute example of that! The waiters are attentive, in the background, and always there when you need them. That's service! They are exceptionally friendly, and the food is absolutely on point and excellent! Both food and service were very good. The fillet steak was prepared just right, and the fries and grilled vegetables on the side were also excellent. We recommend. Service was great too, just a small note about the atmosphere: different music plays in the kitchen than in the dining room and if you sit near the kitchen it's a bit tiring when the two overlap. I was there alone and it didn't bother me that much, but I don't think I would be able to carry on a conversation very well. But the food and service were great! Looking forward to next time.

Draußen sitzt es sich nicht schlecht, auf jeden Fall ist es relativ zentral in Leipzig und die Straße nur mäßig befahren. Wir haben hier lediglich ein Bier getrunken, es war soweit in Ordnung, auch die Bedienung. Essen können wir jedoch dementsprechend nicht bewerten.

The ambience is okay. The staff wasn't always attentive and something went wrong with the order. But the food was absolutely delicious… I had the beef tartare as a starter and then 1000 grams of spare ribs (mega). The prices are reasonable!

More appearance than reality: quality acceptable, price excessive, ambience average. The Lettermann wants to be a classy steakhouse, but doesn't deliver. The service style and quality are more reminiscent of Hooters or Hard Rock Café: leftover food under the table, high chairs, casual jargon and an ordering process that leads to overwhelm with the slightest deviation. All of this may be acceptable in a casual restaurant, but it doesn't fit with the high price and upscale brand promise. The result is disappointing in all categories. Visually there are creative approaches, but the overall picture is immature. The meat was okay, but the side dishes were put together carelessly. Why is there an overcooked sprig of rosemary on my steak? What's the use of an unmarinated lettuce leaf next to it? Frozen chives on the mashed potatoes and bean sprouts in the Caesar salad – these are symbols of a cuisine that relies more on effects than on well-thought-out compositions. Well meant, but missed the mark.

My friend and I went to Lettermann in Leipzig today and it was fantastic. While I am a passionate steak eater, for my companion it was the first steak of his life. What can I say? Service was super nice and quick. Special requests were no problem! The ambience was pleasant, the music was a good mix of modern songs in relaxed versions, which wasn't intrusive or too loud, but rather framed the surroundings well! Let's get to the food: H A double M E R! The appetizer platter for 2 was beautifully presented, had a little bit of everything and was excellent in taste! Our appetite was stimulated by a variety of really well combined flavors and we were really looking forward to our steaks. 300g or 400g fillets - one rare and the other medium-rare. Both perfectly cooked, with a fantastic blend of spices! I would go as far as to say that I consider it to be one of the best, if not the best, rare steak of my life! There was also the mushroom mix, green asparagus, sweet potatoes and garlic bread. Unfortunately we ran out of room for dessert, so I can't say anything about it. We had a wonderful date evening in a really great atmosphere with the best food! We'll definitely come back here! 1000% recommendation ❤️🤌

We felt comfortable from the start! Modern but still cozy atmosphere. Very friendly and fast service. This was our third time at Letterman and the food was always very good!! We will definitely come back soon and leave in a good mood!

First we stood at the door to get a seat. An employee called "door" but no one came. After a long wait, we simply picked out a table. Our son ordered pasta, which was really completely over salted. We got a replacement meal again, but there was no salt at all and the noodles were completely cooked soft. I don't want to go into detail with our food, there was nothing. Unfortunately, every now and then you have bad luck.

Tartar smelled funny and all of the meat were expired. Bread was also rock solid and chicken was dry. Gazpacho was good though.

Avoid. One of the worse meals I have ever had. Waited over two hours between the end of the starters and when the main course appeared. And that was with us complaining. And they still missed one of the main courses. The steaks were over cooked. And to top it off, the staff could not care less. They never once apologised. Every table seemed to be having the same issues.

When I arrived I was rudely asked if I had reserved...there were still 2 tables available. Then I ordered an apple spritzer, which wasn't cool but when I asked, I got ice cubes without any problems. Then I ordered a starter plate and had to wait over 3/4 hours for a fallen bruchetta and the bread that went with it, which I finally got after asking for the 3rd time. The burger for the main course was cold and the chilli cheese sauce was not chilli. When it came to the bill, the crowning glory was that there wasn't 10 cents left, so I rounded it up and tipped 90 cents because I just wanted to leave. All in all very disappointing although the store made a very good impression!

What should I write? Great atmosphere. Funny, nice and attentive service. And an absolutely delicious meal, with an acceptable and appreciable price. As a starter I had 3 drumsticks with hot sauce (great), then 1000 grams of spare ribs (mega) and finally a chocolate pear cake (very tasty). With drinks we stayed just under 45 euros per person and the food was worth every cent. Keep it up….

We dined in this restaurant for the first time yesterday. However, this one time will also be the last time. As soon as we entered the restaurant and were greeted by the waitress, we noticed that the staff were in a heated mood. We had four different waitresses during the evening, which is why no one noticed that our starter was only at our table an hour after we ordered it and the main course took another 1.5 hours. So we waited a total of 2.5 hours for our food (!) It should also be mentioned that a waitress suddenly noticed that our starter was incomplete. The food itself was “okay”, but neither good nor outstanding, as other guests already described in their review. The highlight of the evening, however, was settling the bill. This took another 30 minutes to arrive. The waiter said the amount 3 times (!) in the expectation that we would round the amount up for a tip (card payment). The situation was very unpleasant. If you wait 2.5 hours for your food and the reason for this is that it is busy, even though the people sitting next to you got their food much earlier, it should be understandable that you are not willing to tip on top of that. We cannot expressly recommend the restaurant. The staff was hopelessly overwhelmed and uncoordinated. The food wasn't spectacular. At least we would have expected more for the price. Unfortunately a disappointing evening for us.

It was our first time in Letterman and we loved it. Food excellent. The service and the entire team are also top notch

Unfortunately underground since the change of ownership. We have been regular customers for years and the service has been decreasing, but today it was not acceptable in any way. We took a seat in the outdoor area and were insulted by a homeless person - that's bearable, but not the fact that he sits down three tables away and eats the plates that hadn't been cleared away. After no service appeared after more than 25 minutes, we moved inside. In short: every drink - even water - takes at least 20 - 30 minutes from order to serving. There was a moldy orange in the GinMare - that doesn't work at all. Service remained subpar and the abundant staff preferred to eat at the bar late at night rather than serve the guests who were still present. I have never experienced this with such audacity. A restaurant manager or managing director should have been present here. It's also cheeky that people always act as if everything is going well, for example. "I just wanted to come to you; the water would come immediately and the beer would come too." Of course it was just an audition... What should be highlighted is the food, which hasn't lost any of its quality. For just under €400 you can never go there again until the service is like it used to be - it's a shame, there are fewer well-paying regular customers...

After we closed the front door behind us and were asked to pause for a moment, after a few seconds someone from the staff came and compared our request for a seat with the entries in the reservation book... Quickly and friendly, then to a table for 5 people Shortly afterwards a young lady came to hand out the menus and ask about the drinks. These were then served in a very short time. So we weren't left high and dry while studying the extensive menus. I particularly liked the huge selection of side dishes that you can combine with the main courses. The usual preparation time was adhered to and the food was served to everyone at the same time. Meanwhile, you had the opportunity to let your eyes wander and of course take in the entire ambience We also noticed the so-called ripening cabinet, in which the wet and dry ripening takes place. If we took a closer look, we could see the temperatures inside at 2.2 and 2.5 degrees +. When everything was served, the waitress offered to take a photo of us. We were gratefully accepted!! The fact that everything we ordered and ate corresponded to our expectations, should of course be mentioned separately. The fact that they were in small bowls especially for potatoes, fries and other things far exceeded our hunger led to the question of whether we could also take something with us. Kindly agreed, and in 2 Extra bags packed and handed over. All in all, we had a good time in this restaurant. So it's definitely not the last time we've come here, and we'll be happy to recommend it to friends. Ultimately, happy guests, good business, and so on for the owners in the future always a full house 🏠,😁👍

Das Letterman befindet sich in der Gottschedstraße in Leipzig (unweit des Innside Hotels) und damit in zentraler Lage. Das Ambiente ist angenehm. Die Servicekräfte sind freundlich und aufmerksam. Das Essen entsprach leider nicht meinen Erwartungen. Das Beef Tatar (90 Gramm zum Preis von 16,10 €) und das Rinderfilet (200 Gramm zum Preis von 30,50 €; ohne Beilagen) waren nun wirklich kein Genuss. Auch die Kräuterbutter, die immerhin 2,50 € extra gekostet hat, war ein Fehlgriff. Der gereichte Wein, ein Merlot aus der Pfalz vom Weingut Emil Bauer, war hingegen gut. Das Letterman versteht sich nicht nur als Restaurant, sondern auch als Bar. Man muss dort also nichts essen, sondern kann den Abend bei einem Cocktail oder einem Glas Wein ausklingen lassen. Speisen werde ich dort jedenfalls nicht wieder.

The restaurant was busy, but the waitress was quick and friendly and always had a joke on her lips. Food was excellent and delivered quickly to the table. If you leave here hungry, it's your own fault. Very clean locally.

We were there for lunch on Sunday, so it was very quiet. The food was really really good! And the service was very nice. There was also something for everyone in terms of price. The dishes were all very nicely presented. Only the bowl didn't quite suit my girlfriend's taste, but the delicious Yuzu Tonic did.

Honestly the worse meat I ever had in a burger. The burger itself looked great, the bread was super fluffy but the meat quality was lower than even Mc Donald's. The fries that accompanied it were fresh but cut too big and a lot of them they were raw. Very disappointed, for sure not returning back.

We went there for their dry aged steak. The steaks were excellent - from marination to cooking to salting... Fries were also equally nice. I expected Bratkartoffeln to be crunchier, it was rather a bit too soft. But the taste was very good. We have also ordered some coctails, they were also very nice and not too sweet. So definitely recommended. The staff is extremely friendly and welcoming. :) The only tiny problem was that our orders were slightly wrong. One of the coctails, and the sauces to our dishes were sent wrong. When ordering it seemed like their ordering device was too slow, maybe that was the reason of the confusion. We were still happy with the taste, so we didnt really complain but thinking back it might be important -esp if smo is having allergies or a more picky taste... The atmosphere is ok, a good mix of classy and casual. I think the prices are a bit too high, but otherwise a nice recommendation for dry aged steaks.

Personal war sehr nett. Wir sind freundlich begrüßt worden. Bestellung wurde rasch aufgenommen und die Getränke kamen noch bevor wir mit der ganzen Bestellung fertig waren. Steaks waren super gut zubereitet. Gargrad genau wie bestellt. Einzig die Pommes Frites waren etwas zu lang in der Friteuse. Beilagen-Portionen waren gross genug. Das Personal hat immer wieder geschaut, ob bei uns alles passt. Alles in allem ein sehr gelungener Abend.

The gin prices are rather high (compared to other price levels), but there is a lot of choice and combination options. It was a relaxed, successful evening.

From the photos I was very convinced to eat there. However, when I was there I noticed that the double tables had different heights and the floor was scratched everywhere. The dishes smelled. The toilet was very unhygienic. People with dogs are allowed in. Only the fries were tasty. I didn't like the fillet steak and the other side dishes at all. I've eaten steak in many restaurants, but this one didn't appeal to me at all. The service was very friendly. But I don't recommend anyone to eat there. I just spent €85 for nothing.

The old Mugger elite of the city of Leipzig meet here once a month for a Mugger breakfast. The ambience is contemporary, the staff is quick and attentive and the prices are moderate for city center standards. Beef parts are bobbing around in ripening cabinets... Definitely plan to enjoy a steak in the evening.
