I was here for a reading by Michael Nast. The lecture and Michael were great. What I personally didn't like was a) that it was quite cool (it was quite drafty) and b) Drinks were only available in cups 😩 No problem with water. I would also have liked to drink some wine but sorry, that's not possible in a cup 🙄

Historic venue with a varied program. Acoustics not so great. Bad parking options. Easily accessible by public transport. Enough restaurants in the area.

We were promised a table for 2 on the phone and were told that it would be noted. When we called an hour late to expand the table by 1 person, the long, blonde-haired bartender wanted to gaslight that she had said from the start that there would only be standing room. So we ordered a table for 3 under a new name and number and were told that a table for 3 would be available. When we arrived, the bar woman made it clear to us in a passive aggressive tone that she had told us the same thing. Which wasn't the case. The service from the woman was a 0/10, super rude. Super disappointed. The evening overall was nice, but we had to wait over 2 hours to get our turn to sing. To be honest, we just left. Too bad.

Great location. We were at a concert and were really dissatisfied with the acoustics. I have no idea whether it was the location or the sound engineers. That was disturbing. Therefore one star less. If it wasn't the building, then I will immediately increase it to 5 stars.

The premises were nice, there were 3 bars, lots of toilets and a smoking area outside. Jackets could be dropped off. What's a bit stupid are the deposit stamps, they slow you down unnecessarily. Otherwise everything went smoothly. The parking options there are a disaster, there are no...

Slowdive at the Felsenkeller Leipzig – A sonic masterpiece Last night I was at the Felsenkeller in Leipzig to see Slowdive live – and what can I say? It was a concert that completely captivated me. The sound was a work of art, crystal clear and perfectly mixed. Every nuance of the music was clearly audible, without anything being too dominant or too weak. From the very first notes, I was drawn into another world. The guitars practically floated through the room, while the bass added a gentle depth and the drums held everything together without being intrusive. Rachel Goswell and Neil Halstead sang with that almost ethereal lightness that makes Slowdive so unique. Nothing was overdone, nothing was too little – it was pure musical perfection. The atmosphere in the hall was particularly fascinating. The audience was absolutely focused, listening almost reverently. There was often a silence between songs that demonstrated how deeply each individual was immersed in the sound. When Alison and When the Sun hits were played, I got goosebumps – it was simply magical. But the songs from the new album also fit perfectly into the set, proving that Slowdive still have the ability to evolve their sound without losing their essence. The Felsenkeller proved to be the perfect location for this concert. The acoustics were excellent and complemented the band's crystal-clear soundscape. At the end, I lingered for a moment to take it all in – because Slowdive didn't just play a concert that evening, they created a true sonic journey that will stay with me for a long time.

The location itself is nothing special, but the organization works perfectly. Both at the entrance and at the counter it was very well timed and despite the many guests, the waiting time was kept within reasonable limits. Top!

I had the pleasure of taking part in an event organized by the Droemer Knaur publishing house at Felsenkeller Leipzig and it was simply great! The Felsenkeller is a fantastic location with a unique charm that perfectly matched the atmosphere of the event. The organization was excellent, the staff very friendly and helpful. The event itself was well prepared and the space was ideal for this type of event. The acoustics were good and the ambience also contributed to an unforgettable experience. I would definitely recommend the Felsenkeller for further events and am already looking forward to the next visit!

A beautiful hall with a preserved historic charm. Friendly staff. Unfortunately, the sound at the Interpol concert wasn't great. The construction fence behind the technician is a bit distracting. Perhaps there's a better idea. For those arriving by car: Parking is difficult. It's better to park somewhere else and use public transport (it's better anyway). The tram stop is right in front.

It was freezing cold the entire time (at least directly in front of the stage in the ballroom), the chairs were very uncomfortable, and they let you out through the back entrance, so you had to walk three-quarters of the way around the building. As a result, you missed a tram and had to wait over 10 minutes in the cold, which felt even colder because you had to keep your jacket on in the rock cellar to avoid freezing. The performance was great, hence the 2 stars.

Concert with JBO was great... Drinks weren't overpriced and toilets were clean

I had a great reading there, an interesting space, and very friendly staff, including the security guards. One star deducted for the uncomfortable chairs.

Great location. Was there for the cabaret. I find it ideal for this. Not too big, not too small. Gladly again.

The house has a special charm. And then an artist like the Bavarian Martina Schwarzmann, what more does it take to make it an unforgettable evening. The supply of drinks was good and the seating was good too. It was All in all a successful evening. Thanks to the team, you did a great job.

The place has a great ambience. The acoustics are very good despite the peripheral space. The arrangement of the bar and cloakroom was fine. The view of the stage was also okay, although I still wanted to stretch often. Overall a nice experience 😄

Great location for concerts, well divided and plenty of space. As always, the cloakroom involves a bit of a wait, the toilets are easily accessible and well maintained, and the bar works very quickly and reliably. The cup return at the end could have been handled better. The bar area itself is slightly elevated, the concert area where most of the audience stands is located slightly lower. Good entry situation with automatic entry scanner.

The concert room was so small. You couldn't see anything because the artist Reinhardt Buhr was sitting. It was stuffy and warm too.

Went there for a concert and it was ok. It felt like you weren't prepared for so many people. The cloakroom simply closed at some point, although not everyone could hand in their jackets, and the queues to the toilets were extremely long.

A nice atmosphere and enough space for events and concerts. But a really big problem is the parking situation. You can plan about an hour to search, or you can just walk a little further, although you have to search for a long time. Big praise also to the security, you're doing a great job!

If you like going to rap and club concerts, you should be a little careful here - when I was at Lugatti and Nine with friends, I unfortunately had to experience pretty un-relaxed and brutal security. There's no real party and the mood isn't really there, drinks are a bit more expensive. You have to wait forever at the bar, which means you don't want to get anything to drink. I would really like to see some acts here, but the location spoils it a bit. In terms of feeling, it's more of a place for middle-aged people, which somehow clashes with the concerts. I haven't felt comfortable at previous concerts. Light show quite good. Acoustics were ok, but not great. I probably know 10 people who never want to go to the Felsenkeller again, no matter what awesome act is playing. By the way, Naumann's is even worse. I left Boloboys with Makko early because the heat was unbearable.

We stood in line at the cloakroom only to find out that the cloakroom was full. We have winter, so it's good to wear something. They were then allowed to hold their jackets in their arms for the entire concert. How can you be so poorly organized that you sell so many tickets and people can't even drop off their stuff? You also had to wait in line for ages for drinks. The concert was great, but it was more due to the artist than the location. Probably won't be a second time.

Well, Superbowl on the screen and me with company and a lot of sound just works better than on the sofa at home. However, the location is no longer in good shape and the prices for management were high. You can do it - but it's not a revelation now.

Very cool location! Although you hear a lot of negative things about the sound there, on this first visit to TesseracT, Novellist and The Omnific it was bombastic. Not least because there is a temporary soundproof wall in the middle towards the back that has reduced the size of the room. But I don't want to know what's going on when the hall is completely used and things get a little more intense musically.

Be careful, hand in your deposit on time otherwise you'll be out of luck, very unfriendly staff location but not bad.

We were here on January 24th, 2025 for the concert, which we had been looking forward to for months. Unfortunately, the operator of the sold-out event didn't think it was worth choosing the larger hall or switching on the ventilation. It is unimaginable that no office will intervene! It was just unbearably crowded! You couldn't breathe in the completely overcrowded little bar. After the first gig the air was terrible and the smell was unbearable. How the artists were able to perform there is almost incomprehensible. The technology was terrible and the colleague at the mixing desk didn't rip anything out. I have better sound quality in my basement. All in all very disappointing! The drink selection was also more than modest. Just a shame!

I'm really disappointed. Was there for the concert and it wasn't as shown on the website. But that is a point that can be overlooked. Organizing a concert in a room that is so small, even though there were enough other rooms, is an impudence. The stage wasn't elevated, so you couldn't see anything. The headlights were constantly shining in your face and the crowd was really disgusting. You really should offer a lot more for the price of admission.

Unfortunately the drinks are way too expensive. We therefore consumed less collectively. You can eat everywhere on the streets.

I've seen some great concerts here!

Basically a great location for events, the acoustics aren't great, but that might also be due to the stage setup. The wardrobe is a joke. Enough for around 50% of the visitor capacity. The rest can drag their winter coats around all evening. The bar is mercilessly overwhelmed. You have to accept a 30-45 minute wait before ordering. Listless staff and long beer serving times due to unpreparedness and uncoordination contribute to this. I will avoid events here in the future if I can.

We were there for a concert on December 28th, 2024. The organization was terrible. Too many tickets were sold. We queued for 3/4 hours to get a drink. No security precautions. If panic had broken out there, it's hard to imagine what would have happened. The only good thing about the evening was the band.

We were there on December 28th. To NORTHERN LITE in the Felsenkeller... the concert in and of itself was gigantic 10* to the band. But what didn't work at all was the organization of the service team, endless queues for drinks. The cloakroom was simply closed. It was simply underground.

What looks beautiful from the outside unfortunately loses more and more charm over the years. Probably for cost reasons or planning reasons, there feel like there are more security staff than bar staff. For a concert that is not sold out, there are not enough cloakroom hooks available (even though there was already a second cloakroom). The shop is completely overcrowded, the bar is completely overwhelmed, you have to queue for at least 20 minutes for a drink, there is no way to quickly return your cup deposit. Unfortunately, this kind of thing spoils the concert/event experience.

I have to agree with my predecessors, that was my 4th concert this year with Northern lite but the location in Leipzig was really bad, people, what's wrong with you, it's not the first time you've done this... no organization and that Assistants behind the counter 🤦🏽‍♂️ Sorry

Went to the Northern Lite concert in the Felsenkeller yesterday. The concert was great. As with other concerts before it, it was a disaster regarding the bar. Queuing for drinks for well over half an hour, bar staff were friendly but totally overwhelmed. Maybe change something in the concept. A station that only accepts deposit cups at the end would also be something.

After we arrived at the hotel, we wanted to go out for something to eat and so we just set off on foot. There is always something to eat somehow. Be it pizza, kebab or, or or... But somehow we wanted something special. So we finally ended up in the rock cellar. Ambiance very good... friendly reception... The service is super cool and always has a smile on her face.. Food really good, hot and delicious. Highly recommended!!!!!! Thank you...... Steffen from Löhne

Unfortunately a really bad concert location. The bars are completely understaffed. Half of yesterday's concert with waiting for one. Drink spent. In the end, the cloakroom department was completely overwhelmed, but security had to force everyone waiting in a relaxed manner to clear the hall. All in all, none. Worth visiting again. My recommendation: look at your bands somewhere else. The location and organization of it spoil the visit.

Unfortunately, last night at the Northern Lite concert was a total fiasco when it came to the cloakroom and bar situation - the cloakroom was quickly full (there was no information about that either), you stood in line for 45 pointless minutes and then spent the evening frustrated with your jacket in your hand ) Alternative concept? None, no suggestions for solutions from those responsible. Anyone who thinks that they could ease their frustration a little at the bar is completely wrong - queuing for another hour for a drink didn't necessarily improve the mood. In addition, you had the feeling that there were far too many people in the location - if you imagined you could see a band at a live concert: also crazy. It may be that everything is becoming more expensive and that organizers also have to look where they stay, but holding concerts under these conditions is absolutely unacceptable - change your concept, otherwise you won't have to organize anything anymore soon. I'd rather stay on the couch with a record and save myself the money for the ticket and all the frustration!

Waiting in line for half an hour to either get a drink or standing in the cloakroom for half an hour and still not being able to hand in the jackets. Full, they said. I was standing in line somewhere for a quarter of the concert. Not least to return the deposit stamps. A concert is no fun at all.

12/28/24, Northern Lite concert, Felsenkeller. Of the entire organization, this was by far the worst concert I have experienced in 15 years. Doors open at 7:00 p.m. You stand for 1 hour to be able to leave your jacket in the cloakroom, lights out. Cloakroom full...100s of guests with jackets in hand for the concert evening. The qualified advice from the employees was: "I don't know where your cars are, but it's best to bring your jackets there." ...in the middle of winter...at temperatures below zero... Then the next highlight. 2 drinks stands for the completely overcrowded Felsenkeller...after queuing for about 30 minutes, you fought your way to the counter...only to be able to read on a sign on or behind the counter: "Card payment only possible."... I've never experienced that at a concert or festival before... just as much frustration, complaints, bad moods and calls for the organizer from the guests... including me and rightly so. This is a disgrace, cramming people into a crowded hall without drinks and with their hands full (because the cloakroom is full). There is also a toilet at the left and right end of the hall for each gender...so if you stand in the wrong place, you'll have to push yourself across the entire rock cellar to get to the toilet...or just get there in your pants. Conclusion: Stay away from the rock cellar with this organizer! Worst location for events! The way the guests are treated there really borders on bodily harm. Even the band on stage could see this. (Who did their best to somehow save the ruined evening).

Went to Northern Lite's sold out concert today. The concert itself was awesome - thank you. Sound got better over time. The location itself seemed completely overwhelmed by the crowds. Cloakrooms full, probably 2/3 of the people left. But before that we had already been queuing for 1/2 hour. Bar completely overcrowded, you missed half of the concert if you wanted to get 2 drinks. Beautiful concert, unfortunately the organization was a complete disaster.

Been there a few times for concerts, most recently on December 21st, 2024 for the I LUV MONEY concert by King Orgasm One. In itself a great and cool place to celebrate. Unfortunately there are no parking spaces, you have to try your luck to get one in the area. Therefore just ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️☝🏻

The Christmas market in Leipzig is like good, a good idea is the small ice rink at the Neuer Radhaus. The gondolas are also great to relax in. The hand-made bread here from the Swiss is a thousand times better than the stand at the old town hall.

Christmas market stalls at Felsenkeller visited: staff and prices okay, toilets in the basement were okay, but a lot of people and RB game with "Christmas singing" (a record number of stadium visitors of over 40,000 people is planned, as a Dortmund fan you laugh at something like that. ..) and then the Syrian ecstasy together with unfriendly guests: that can't go well and it didn't... it's a shame, there was actually more to it 😉

During well-attended concerts, there are large queues at the bars. The pillars in the room often obstruct the view of the outer seats. The stairs to the square in front of the stage could be better lit. Nevertheless, you are happy to be a guest in this time-honored building.

A really lovely Christmas market with a classic medieval feel. Despite the rain, the visit was pleasant because the cozy atmosphere and the atmospheric design quickly made us forget the weather. The mulled wine was exceptionally tasty, just the thing to warm you up. Overall, there was a pleasant, relaxed atmosphere that fits perfectly into the Christmas season. Absolutely recommended!

Cool place for concerts, we were here for the first time and were pleasantly surprised by the size and the good view of the stage, good sound, nice bar and security.

I have visited this restaurant several times now and I find it nice for every event, friendly staff and simply beautifully done, unfortunately the parking situation is a disaster.

Not so suitable for concerts, too few bars and too few staff waiting for drinks for over an hour, there are also not enough toilets. You stand in line more, which is quite annoying if you spend more of the evening waiting.

Were there to see Alfred Heinrich.. a really nice location to celebrate. The event itself was very crowded and the catering didn't work. You had to queue for up to an hour for drinks. It was still a nice evening.
