Magical! The food tastes fantastic, the staff is friendly, and the music adds to the pleasant atmosphere. Everything together creates a wonderful experience. I can recommend this restaurant to anyone who wants to try the cuisine of another culture. A visit to the Kabul Restaurant, the best restaurant in Leipzig, is definitely worth it!

Rather inconspicuous from the outside and the inventory inside is a bit old, but everything was very clean. The service was very friendly and always available if there was anything to order. The food was super super fantastically delicious. These flavors were absolutely amazing. I, or we were really excited. I didn't expect such variety and freshness. If you want to eat something different and are looking for variety other than kebab, pizza or Greek, you're in good hands here. We'll definitely be back. Highly recommended. 👌👍

My first experience was really bad. I regret it a lot and ask myself why am I even here? Food is definitely not from today, black tea, like sewage. Service absolutely 0. The waiter didn't say a word. Great location but everything was 0 0 and below 0... I don't recommend you...please save the money and energy...

We only rented the venue for an engagement party. The place was fresh, the owner only charges but does not provide any service that has been paid for. It was hot and he didn't turn on the AC. Don't let us do what we have to do.

The inconspicuous low-rise building from GDR times does not do justice to the great restaurant and fantastic food. From the outside we briefly thought it was closed. Luckily we had dinner here today. Both the salad with sheep's cheese and our two main courses tasted excellent! Great spices in an unusual combination. Everything was super tasty and also very nice service staff. Great food doesn't have to be expensive! We'd love to come back 😍

After many positive reports, we convinced ourselves of the restaurant today. 10 people with prior reservation, worked great. POSITIVE: - very, very tasty dishes (picture: really tender salmon with buttery rice and vegetable side dish for only €14.90) - generous portions - fair, sometimes even very affordable prices - extremely friendly service - Nicely furnished and the outdoor area is also cozy (despite the main street). NEGATIVE: - if even one person orders an appetizer, everyone else waits quite a long time for their food... We would definitely recommend Kabul. Thanks for the nice evening.

The kitchen is new to me, so I can't compare the quality. The vegetarian selection is rather poor, but the dumplings are highly recommended. The tea with milk rounds off the experience well. Service friendly and attentive. Furnishings elegant

The Kabul Restaurant is an absolute insider tip in Leipzig! The ambience is authentic and inviting, the service is always friendly and attentive. The dishes are true explosions of flavor - from juicy kabab to aromatic rice dishes, all perfectly seasoned and freshly prepared. A culinary highlight that I can only warmly recommend to everyone! Very nice Persian food in a comfortable and friendly atmosphere. The ground meat dishes we had were very nice. We also liked the lemonades and the spiced tea with milk. Could have been a bit stronger for my taste but I enjoyed it. If we are in the area again we will definitely be back to check some of the other interesting dishes.

Food and drinks was very delicious and it was not too expensive but the restaurant hasn’t good design.

Dishes were served cold, although in traditional Afghan dishes everything is served very warm. Lettuce leaves were not clean and still had soil on the leaves. And unprofessional waiters.

The food was delicious and plentiful, and the offering was varied. Buildings and interior design, well, I have room for improvement. But I'd rather have very good food in a not-so-hip atmosphere than the other way around. We'll definitely come back.

In my life, I had never eaten this kind of pilaf, and what a pilaf it was, the meat of which was left over from all the meats, and it was hard to beat, as if there was no flour left in the pan, and the mento was like you were hitting ten walls, and its soup. It's like freezing the meat and then adding chicken to it. It wasn't soup. It was soup. Please, if you sell soup, please learn how to prepare dinner.

From the outside, the restaurant is rather inconspicuous, if not "easy to miss". The interior is very sober, but that doesn't bother you. One of the two seating areas, equipped with carpets, seat cushions and very flat tables, was used by relatives.

The service was too slow. Qabuli Polow compared to what I ate before was poor, the portion of the meat also was small. I wouldn’t come here again. Also naan is an add and not for free (2€) but delicious.

We visited the restaurant with two more families. It has a good ambient atmosphere and was quite empty on that particular day. The food was good but definitely overpriced for the taste and quantity. The sweets and chaye were great. Their highlight was the fresh naan, which is just the best thing. Kabuli pulao and grilled meet were also decent. However, they should increase the portion size. Overall, it was a good experience.

I have been here many times and always enjoy coming back. The food is very tasty, the staff friendly and attentive. The menu is varied and arouses curiosity. All dishes are well explained. The interior is cozy, it doesn't look that inviting from the outside, don't let that fool you. The price-performance ratio is completely fine. Also good for pick up, I haven't tried delivery. Addendum Jan 2023: Food is still fantastic.

Waren heute im Zoo. Das Hotel war in ca. 3 km Entfernung. Da ich auch Mal was anderes zum Essen wollte besuchten wir das Kabul. Wir haben online einen Tisch reserviert.War das erste Mal Persisch Essen und bin jetzt ein Fan davon. Es war sehr schmackhaft und das Fleisch (Rind, Lamm, Hühnchen) sehr gut gewürzt. Dazu gab es Salat und guten Butter-Safran Basmatireis. Kommen gerne wieder wenn ich Mal Leipzig besuchen werde. LG an das Team... Moni

Das Essen ist sehr lecker und die Bedienung sehr freundlich.

Alles war top nur war es im Restaurant etwas kalt.

Man bemüht sich sehr, jedoch ist das Ambiente nur zwei Sterne 🌟 🌟 wert. Das Lammfleisch war sehr fettig.

Wir haben sehr lange auf das Essen und die Getränke gewartet. Der Tee kam spät und es kam mir das Kännchen (mit 2 Tassen). Erst nach weiterer Wartezeit kam meine Tasse Tee (gleiche Sorte nur mit Milch). Als der Tee nun fast alle war, kam der Hauptgang. Dieser war lecker und heiß. Ambiente war leider nicht sehr gemütlich.

Wir wurden herzlich begrüßt und saßen an einem Tisch in einem schönem Ambiente. Ich fand es auch sehr interessant die Afghanischen Sitzmöglichkeiten auszuprobieren. Das Essen kam sehr schnell. Es war eine große Portion und sehr lecker. (Der Preis ist dafür gerechtfertigt) Ich freue mich schon auf einen weiteren Besuch.

The food was amazing, we had 4 dishes as a gift for dinner from someone and everything tasted really good. Just the table was next to the kitchen and the atmosphere was a bit too loud and stressful with waiters always walking really close to the chair even if we had a reservation, but the restaurant is fully booked which is due to the really good food there and understandable. Also the prices on the menu were not updated which was not a problem for us but should be done.

Sehr schönes Restaurant mit authentischem Essen. Alles frisch und sehr lecker, wir hatten vegetarisches und auch Gericht mit Fleisch gehabt. Super gewürzt und auch ziemlich schnell vorbereitet. Die Preise fand ich gut. Empfehlenswert!

Für mich das bisher beste Restaurant in Leipzig. Die Preise sind für die Größe der Portionen angemessen, der Geschmack war bisher immer super, persönlich kann ich dir hausgemachte Safran Limonade empfehlen! Das Personal ist immer freundlich und professionell, man fühlt sich steht’s willkommen.

Preis Leistung absolut perfekt. Ganz klare 5 Sterne von mir. 👍🏻 P.S. Nur der Punkt „Barrierefreiheit“ stimmt nicht ganz. Der Eingang hat eine kleine Stufe, welche mit Rollstuhl nicht befahrbar ist. Kann aber auch sein, dass in den Sommer Monaten da eine Rampe ist. Das ist das Einzige was man „negativ“ nennen muss. Alles andere ist wie oben beschrieben wirklich sehr sehr gut!

Ist Recht sauber nette Bedienung essen ist geschmacklich top zwei Kleinigkeiten sind nicht so gut Teller haben alle kleine Ecken kaputt und gehacktes hat ihnen null gewüze schmeckt nur nach Fleisch ohne alles außen schmeckts gut
