LEO’S Restauration in Panketal

Had a room in the attic with toilet and shower in the hallway. Rooms and shower/toilet are simply equipped, but spotlessly clean. Good parking options in the yard. Breakfast buffet plentiful and delicious. Staff was friendly, quick and attentive. Brought my dog ​​an extra water bowl. Had brawn with fried potatoes (very tasty) and pork knuckle on the second evening. Hearty, plentiful, delicious. Thumbs up.

It was a cozy evening and we had decided to enjoy some really hearty German cuisine in Leo's Restaurant. The table was set, the beer was freshly tapped, and our bellies were already growling in anticipation. But one of us, let's call him Karl, had his heart set on a very specific dish: the legendary pork knuckle. “Today I’m treating myself to a proper pork knuckle,” announced Karl as the waiter approached. We nodded in agreement, because what could go wrong with such a classic? But when Karl placed his order with the conviction of a king, the waiter winced with a look of regret. “I’m sorry, the pork knuckle is unfortunately out today…” he said, and there was silence for a moment. You could have heard a pin drop. Karl stared at the waiter as if he had just announced that Christmas was canceled. “Off?” Karl asked, as if he had never heard the word before. “How can a knuckle of pork be made of? That’s the basic right of every German in a restaurant like this!” The waiter smiled apologetically. “Well, sometimes the pork knuckle is on vacation,” he said, as if that was some consolation. While Karl was still drowning in his disappointment, we quickly decided on alternatives. “I’ll take the beef roulade,” I said, and someone else chose the “Zepernicker Bauernpfanne”. The waiter wrote everything down and disappeared. After a few minutes of grumbling and frowning, Karl finally began to examine the table. “What is that?” he asked as the steaming plates were placed in front of us. The beef roulade looked like a little masterpiece, and the Zepernick farmer's pan smelled as if the entire flavor of the German provinces had been conjured up on one plate. Karl stared at his own dish, which wasn't quite keeping up with his mood, and then back at us. “Well… Maybe I should have used the farmer’s pan.” It didn't take long for Karl to try a forkful of every dish - including my beef roulade. “Well, that’s not bad,” he murmured, chewing, “but it’s not pork knuckle.” We laughed, and at some point we saw the waiter coming towards us again with a mischievous smile. “Is everything to your satisfaction?” he asked politely. Karl, now quite the comedian, grinned broadly and said: “Yes, but the pork knuckle… it left a postcard-sized hole in my heart.” The waiter laughed along and said: “Maybe we’ll have pork knuckle next time – when we get back from vacation.” And so we left Leo's restaurant, full and satisfied, even though the pork knuckle had escaped us this time. But the roulade and the farmer's pan more than made up for it. But Karl swore to himself: “Next time I’ll intercept the cook at the entrance so that he can’t snatch the knuckle of pork from me!”

We were there for brunch today. We sat in the winter garden. Ambience was good. The food/buffet was a complete disaster. Totally carelessly done. Not appetizing. Scrambled eggs made from a powder mixture. Lunch was reminiscent of a bad school cafeteria. Unfortunately, you left disappointed and went home with a bad feeling. Service was also mediocre and could be improved.

Leo's is a nice restaurant, the staff is nice and hardworking... The food at brunch was plentiful and delicious... but the price wasn't right for a single person. We were in a large group and when paying we had to pay extra for the coffee, which was served in thermos flasks on the table. So far so good, now as a customer I assume what is on the table is included in the price and without warning the staff the coffee was subsequently billed... Great, really great now I have 2-3 coffees as a single person drank and ultimately had to pay for a large thermos flask in full for 10.60 euros because there were 20 of us and 10 supposed flasks were incurred that no one could understand. The brunch now cost 33.55 euros for one person... what...? IS IT STILL OK...? 33.55 EURO? Missing information can occur, but not at the expense of the customer... My conclusion, unfortunately I think the manner was wrong and it was the last time I was there or we visited the restaurant in a group.

Went for brunch with 25 people, coffee and water were put on the table. It was not communicated beforehand that this would have to be paid extra. There's nothing on the flyer either, so we were all clueless and then had to pay a whopping ten euros per pot of filter coffee and it wasn't documented anywhere how many pots of coffee were actually served. In all of our eyes, this was a rip-off and we think it's a shame ☹️ because the restaurant actually doesn't need it! We won't be coming back!

The service was very friendly and not intrusive. The buffet (cold and warm) was varied and was constantly replenished. Basically there was nothing to complain about, but in my world, what the host puts on the table at the beginning (pot of coffee and 2 bottles of water) is part of the service and is included in the basic price. If coffee is then ordered, I expect the service to point out the resulting costs of, for example, €10.60 per pot of coffee. Even if the flyer only says that 1 glass of sparkling wine is included in the price of the brunch, all other prices must be visible on the table. This behavior left us with a bad taste, so we went home with the very dissatisfied feeling of being ripped off. Therefore, we are sorry that the good service and the brunch are not worth it and that we will not come to you again. Please think about how you will treat your guests in the future.

Not recommended!!! Find another restaurant. I ordered a beer at the restaurant, drank it and then looked at the expiry date just for fun. It had been expired for 1 year and 3 months!! When I spoke to the boss about it, he just said that they wouldn't do it again in the future. Not even an apology or a refund for the beer.

We rented a holiday apartment in the "Leo" for the second time this summer and once again felt very comfortable. Mr. Rink and his team were always nearby and ready to fulfill any wishes. The rooms stood out for their cleanliness and interesting decor, some with vintage furniture, as well as their wonderful spaciousness. We'd love to come back :-)

Unfriendly, not all entrances open. Boss says vacation. But there was nothing wrong.

Very simple accommodation without any comfort or skill in furnishing. Unfortunately, our room didn't seem really well-kept and the sand was crunching on the floor, the table lamp had a loose contact and crackled and the bathroom needs a little more attention because the toilet seat is loose, the joints look unsightly and the shower cubicle is also strong looked unsightly. A pity.

I wasn't there to eat or stay overnight. The owner organizes an annual swap meet for allotment gardeners and plant lovers, where you can get rid of your overgrown plants in a loving way and in a great environment, today even with live music. You get to know great people and get into conversation and can talk shop and get tips. We will be back definitely. Thanks to the organizer!!

We can't say anything about the rooms, we only had dinner. It was very good and reasonably priced. The waiter was friendly - very nice to us. Of course there is a lot going on on a day like today, so if you don't have patience you should come on another day. In any case, we would like to come back. Best regards

We had dinner at Leo last week. We booked the table at 6 p.m. and were there on time. There was a larger event with lots of people in the winter garden. These were always brought forward so that our food arrived 50 minutes after we ordered it. We didn't order any sophisticated dishes or any special requests. When the food finally came (after 50 minutes!!!), it was still cold. If you can't really organize your restaurant and can only take care of the larger group of people, you should really rethink your concept. The service was also rather disrespectful to us... what a shame! The drinks (Sprite, Cola) were well priced, but the mixed drinks (0.2!!) were really very expensive! Especially since all you could taste from the Amaretto apple juice was the apple juice. Even though the drinks were expensive and contained little, the portions are relatively large.

The food was very generous and tasted very good. Gladly again.

We reserved a holiday apartment with Leo two months before our arrival for 80 EUR/night for 6 nights. Only when we wanted to pay on the penultimate day were we informed about the price increase to 100 EUR/night. A 25% price increase - a total of 120 EUR - without being pointed out at check-in is an outrage. We were there last time.

Unfortunately I can't provide any information about the rooms as we went there for brunch So the entrance is in the back yard, but everything is signposted where it is. We went there on Sunday for brunch with my family. The brunch was buffet style and you had a cold buffet with salami and other various sausage and cheese specialties. Cornflakes, milk, coffee and salads were all plentiful and tasted very tasty. The warm part of the brunch was also very different creations from pork belly with sauerkraut to meatballs with salt potatoes, schnitzel and a Mediterranean version with rice All in all we found it very tasty Well, the service guys always have a quick saying In short I would book and eat there again at any time

We were guesthouse guests and only used bed and breakfast Positive: Booking is quick, friendly and easily possible over the phone. Good breakfast. Room 5 has been renovated, very well done. Room 4 is very old-fashioned and functional, but very large. Negative: It was loud, very loud at night - for three nights in a row. The kitchen door to the stairwell (to which the rooms are connected) absorbs exactly no noise, the stairwell amplifies them. As a result, we were unable to get much sleep.

We were there for 1 weekend, but we didn't like it. We had room number 4. The furnishings are not special, see-through mattress, lamp and endless cobwebs on the ceiling. The curtain was hanging down one side of the rod and there were a few white spots on a chair. Loud in the evening, loud on Sunday morning. Do you have to vacuum at 7:30? After the first impressions, we decided to have breakfast somewhere else. Price/performance was not right in this house during our stay. Maybe other guests had better luck!! We are served and will avoid this establishment next time.

We were here for brunch. The offer was diverse, rustic and delicious! The staff very friendly and considerate. The winter garden is very nice, but relatively cool in winter! Clear recommendation!

Highly recommended for celebrations. We had our wedding reception organized there. Delicious food, great buffet and, above all, a relaxed, informal atmosphere. The owner and all the employees we met are very competent and friendly. We were and are thrilled and will recommend this location 100%. Thank you again.

Alles in allem waren wir sehr zufrieden und können uns hier einigen Rezensionen überhaupt nicht anschließen. Die Toiletten sind sauber und es gab nichts zu beanstanden Trotz der großen Anzahl an Reservierungen war das Personal zuvorkommend und höflich. Das Essen wie immer bei Leo‘s sehr lecker. Das es eine eingeschränkte Karte an den Weihnachtstagen gib, ist schon seit Jahren so. Wir werden jedenfalls unser nächstes Weihnachtsfamilienessen wieder bei Leo‘s machen

Naja es geht so.. Weihnachtsessen als Großfamilie ist entspannter im Restaurant. Es wird von Jahr zu Jahr teurer- verständlich und normal. Das Essen insgesamt wird nicht besser. Wir hatten einen guten Kellner der von einem nicht so guten und nach Achselschweiß stinkendem Kellner begleitet wurde. - lecker zum servierten Essen der Geruch. Die Gänsebrust war trocken, die Haut hell und wabbelig. Der Rotkohl ohne Gewürze und geschmacklich wie in Wasser gekocht. Die Klöße viel kleiner als sonst jedes Jahr, mit zu viel Pflaume drin und mit Öl überschüttet - vielleicht um die fehlende Soße zu vermehren. Soße ist schon immer viel zu wenig auf dem Teller und geschmacklich ohne Geschmack. Es fragt auch niemand mehr ob es schmeckt oder ob alles ok ist. Preis-Leistung-Geschmack-Qualität waren bis vor 10 bis 5 Jahren noch 5 Sterne. Heute würde ich nicht mehr gerne dort essen wollen an so einem besonderen Fest wie Weihnachten 🎄 Für die großen Kinder (13 bis 16 Jahre)- die gerne ein Schnitzel mit Pommes essen wollten gab es nur die Möglichkeit eine Kinderportion mit einem kleinen Schnitzel und Pommes für Kinder zu bestellen. Auf Nachfrage gibt es auch keine Möglichkeit eine doppelte Portion für die großen Kinder zu bekommen. Insgesamt war das Essen mittelmäßig und eher nicht schmackhaft und lecker. Sanitäranlagen ohne Licht und mit gebrochenen Fliesen am Boden, die unter den Füßen knirschen. Parkplatz auch nach 15 Jahren Matsch. Nur wenige Tische waren heute besetzt - das sagt ja auch schon sehr viel aus. Schade!

Essen lecker, wenn auch etwas teuer. Leider wurden wir von einem seltsamen und unfähigen/überforderten Kellner bedient. So etwas haben wir noch nicht erlebt: Essen wurde mehrmals abgefragt, Getränke wurde vergessen, unfreundliche/überhebliche Antworten gegeben. Nach weiteren Getränkewünschen wurde wir leider nur selten gefragt und der Kellern rief uns diese von der Treppe aus zu, der Weg zum Tisch war scheinbar zu weit. Schade.

Wir haben uns im Restaurant zum Abschied eines Kollegen getroffen. Wir saßezim Weinkeller. Dieser ist klein, aber sehr gemütlich. Wir haben einen wunderschönen Abend bei gut bürgerlicher Küche und schönen Getränken verbraucht. Die Zeit verging wie im Flug. Der nette schnelle Service was stets bemüht all unsere Wünsche zu erfüllen. Toiletten sind sehr sauber. Preislich nicht ganz billig, aber sehr schmackhaft und reichlich. Ich komme bestimmt wieder

Lecker Essen, nette Bedienung. Termin Absprache und Verschiebung war kein Problem. Parkplatz am Haus. Das Brunch Buffet war selbst gegen 13.00 Uhr noch gut gefüllt. Wir kommen gerne wieder.

Ich war mit meinen liebsten am Sonntag den 1.10.2023 ebenfalls anwesend (10 Personen)und ich kann nur eines bestätigen, ein Buffet mit soviel Liebe und Aufwand im Detail zu präsentieren, für jeden Geschmack etwas dabei, genießt man heutzutage nur noch selten! Es war eine Meister Leistung, denn das Restaurant war bis zum letzten Platz voll,wenn nicht sogar ausgebucht! Das Buffet bis zur letzten Minute ansehnlich und appetitlich aufgefüllt!Jeder Wunsch wurde erfüllt und dazu noch mit soviel Freundlichkeit!!! Macht einfach weiter so...nicht umsonst 30 Jahre!!!!

Das Zimmer, das wir hatten, war einfach ausgestattet, gut für eine Nacht. ABER die Geräusche, der sich im Erdgeschoss befindlichen Küche waren abends und morgens ungeheuerlich laut. Dazu kamen die lauten Hotelgäste, die spät abends in ihre Zimmer gingen. Guter Schlaf geht anders.

Wie immer hervorragend ✨ wir hatten bisher schon alle möglichen Varianten von Leo‘s verköstigt zu werden und es war und ist immer wieder reichlich und lecker 🤤 ✨🫶🏼

Ich war nur Gast bei einer Abschiedfeier und kann daher nur den kurzen Besuch bewerten.Freundliches Personal und bei der Kaffeetafel von Kuchen bis Herzhaftes dabei.Die Preise sind ja leider überall sehr gestiegen,so verwundert es nicht,wenn auch hier einiges teurer is.

Für eine Feier hatten wir die Lokation gebucht. Top Service, sehr leckeres Essen und auch die Größe der Portionen, der Preis dazu, sind absolut in Ordnung. Klare Empfehlung!
