Leos Brasserie in Leipzig

I last ate at Leos a few years ago and was disappointed when I went back yesterday. About the food: My girlfriend and I each had bruschetta as a starter. I asked for the Parmesan cheese to be omitted, but it was not included. It was definitely missing garlic (the very essence of bruschetta) and the bread was terrible! (Very hard, seemed old.) For our main course, we each had schnitzel. The croquettes were almost cold, and the fries tasted of nothing. The only thing edible was the schnitzel. About the service: In almost 1.5 hours, we were asked for drinks at the beginning, but then not again. Not whether everything was OK, nothing. Two older ladies were sitting at the next table, and they were immediately addressed informally. That's not okay, it's not polite. It's a shame that the food and service have deteriorated so much. We won't be coming back. There are other restaurants in Leipzig that are far better.

Very much so, it was our first time there and we were totally convinced and thrilled. We'll be back!!!

Good service, work can be fun for them. Choose simple dishes and they will be tasty. One of our cutlets is an over-constructed failure, like something from a microwave oven.

Everyone had a schnitzel... Once with mushrooms, once with a fried egg on it and twice with just fries. Price was okay, (between 12 and 15 euros) The quantity of food was totally sufficient and the taste was also convincing. Well done guys and girls. That was just the right boost for my bachelor party 👌😉. Be sure to come again.

We ate there every day, always something different from the menu. The price/performance was always right. Special requests were taken into account.

I ordered a pizza for 10 euros. When paying I was told that I would have to pay 15 euros by card, even though the price in cash was only 10 euros. This is unprofessional and not customer friendly. I cannot recommend this practice.

Excellent value for money. Friendly staff, short waiting times. Large selection of food and drinks. For smokers there is a large smoking lounge and a large beer garden. However, parking spaces are rather advisable. Definitely recommended 👍🏻

I was in Leipzig for an IHK exam and came here for lunch. Service top and friendly, food comes very quickly, price performance very good. Ambiance very pleasant.

The 2 stars are only there because the drinks and service were top notch as always. But guys, what happened to the food...I was really pissed for the first time. The grill plate for 17.50 has been my favorite for years because it was always well filled and delicious. And then you get something like the one in the picture for 17.50... no way🤬 if you get ripped off like that you won't come back, because for 17.50 I'll definitely do something better with it😡. By the way, we were able to find your schnitzel under the tomato slice. If I can get a decent grilled plate again, I'll be happy to come back...but it's not worth the trip until then. Update: been there twice again. The schnitzels were great and so was the portion. After 8 months I can give full stars again and move on happily 🥰😍

We ordered two pizzas from the restaurant. The taste was okay, but the dough was still too doughy and should have stayed in the oven a little longer. You got what you ordered, but the quality could have been better. Unfortunately, the turkey that my companion ordered was very dry and the sauce that came with it didn't really taste good. Overall, the dish was disappointing - the meat could have been nice and juicy, but it wasn't. However, the service should be highlighted positively: the service was extremely nice and friendly

Unfortunately, the food we had was nothing. Mashed potatoes were out of the bag, I'd guess schnitzel was molded meat, Champion cream sauce was some kind of mush that you couldn't eat. Ambience and service were great.

Yes, it's a nice place, but without a reservation you can forget it and with a reservation like in my case, it's really loud and the restaurant scene looks different. This is mass production and my bottom drawer food from yesterday! Fries with bags of ketchup and the pork steak too dry and not adequate. You'd better turn on a grill and it would be better. We don't go there anymore. My partner had schnitzel which was completely returned.

We were there twice, once for lunch where there was a spicy meat dish and then in the evening I had a Hamburger Schnitzel. Both really tasty. The staff was super attentive and friendly. If I'm in Leipzig again, I'll definitely go to Leos again.

A quiet place by the window was chosen for four people with three dogs. -> very good. Drinks were served very quickly, as were the high-quality food. Hamburger schnitzel with butter peas, fries and hollandaise sauce. Great quality and great taste. A schnitzel like I haven't seen or eaten in a long time. Great juicy meat without the slightest flaw. Also the fries were perfect and perfectly seasoned. Plus attentive, friendly and very quick service. I'll definitely come back here.

We were there twice on Friday, March 21st. We discovered the place by chance and ordered coffee and a little something to eat the first time and then decided to go there again in the evening. Both times the staff was friendly and attentive. Drinks and food were quickly brought to the table. If I come to Leipzig again, I would like to stop by again. It's better to make a reservation for the evening.

This “restaurant” is the biggest impudence of Burger Leos and has nothing to do with a burger. I've never seen this before, where people have to fill their own burgers and that's clearly too much. Fries taste like nothing. In addition, you don't get a good atmosphere here. Despite good prices, a pleasant level must still be offered. That was the last visit to this establishment. I vow to get better.

Good schnitzels! Large portions, so taking something besides the main course requires you to count on your strength. I had the Ratman schnitzel (with mushrooms and cheese cap). In addition to the schnitzel, the set includes a side dish - French fries (if you take Jagdschnitzel - a huge portion of pasta in tomato sauce - a dish for everyone). Simple, tasty food, nothing fancy. The interiors of the establishment are a strange cross between the GDR and the shalmans of the beginning of the decade before last. The service is fast, taking into account the fact that the place is very popular. In general, you can safely go, and the prices are reasonable for the very center of Leipzig. I recommend

Leos used to be one of the places where we went a lot and really enjoyed it. After a long time and changes, we came back spontaneously and were disappointed. Distances to the neighboring tables where chairs are back to back are unreasonable. The volume meant that people sometimes couldn't understand each other and it actually damaged the conversation. The “Homemade Burger” had a sauce that only defied Maggi taste. The only good thing about the burger was the burger bun and the mini slice of bacon. Onion rings are not homemade. In comparison, fries were very warm next to the plate. The meat patty was cold quickly. The cocktails, despite happy hour, were so bland and bland... A single waitress who took our order was wonderful. However, these were no longer seen. Some uncoordinated, listless-looking waiters. Very unfortunate

There were 12 of us there, all of us around 80 years old except for me. We sat at a table by the window and were a bit squeezed between the window and a railing, which was particularly difficult for us to use. Maybe it's meant to be that way, but we're very irritated waiting to be called by the young waitress. Maybe you should reconsider given the predominant age of the audience. And other waiters definitely sat down. When we were distributing the drinks we had ordered, the very inappropriate comment was made that we should join in otherwise it would be tiring. The food came quickly and was good too. But we probably won't celebrate our birthdays here anymore. The occasion will be requested when ordering online. I'm just wondering why. There was neither a flower on the table nor anyone congratulating the person celebrating their anniversary. It's a shame actually.

Really a very nice place. We came here with friends at the suggestion of a friend who lives in Leipzig and I can honestly say that it was a bull's eye. The atmosphere of the place itself is extremely interesting - a bit of post-Soviet industrialism with a modern twist. Crowds can be expected at dinner time, especially on weekends, reserving a table may be a good idea. As for the food itself, I can say something about the pork schnitzel with egg, peas and hollandaise sauce: I have no objections, it was really tasty, the portion was solid and the price was acceptable - I was really satisfied. The only small minus for me is that the cutlet could have been hotter (because unfortunately it was only warm), but I realize that with such a number of customers it would be practically impossible. In any case, I highly recommend this restaurant because it is a very interesting place where you can eat tasty food.

The food is always great, the service leaves a lot to be desired, something is always forgotten, the room is just too big, which makes it just way too loud. Unfortunately, it has nothing to do with going out for a leisurely meal.

“Leos” used to be the standard program every weekend. It was always a pleasure to go to “Leos” and start the evening there. However, the “Leos” has weakened more and more over time. Some of the food no longer tastes good or the hollandaise sauce (Schnitzel Dubary), which is in a separate container, is already so solid when the food arrives that it no longer flows out of the container. Sometimes you wait forever for the drinks, so the food sometimes arrived quicker. A former waitress told me when she worked there and prepared the cocktails for “happy hour” that she accidentally used an expired ingredient and had already prepared several cocktails with it. This was reported, but instead of throwing these cocktails away, they were served anyway. If this is true, I find it irresponsible in this day and age. I am disappointed with the development of the “Leos” and hope that things will perhaps improve at some point. After the renovation, the “Leos” looks better than before. You did a great job with the renovation!

Was here recently for a few drinks. I have to say that I have never had such bad cocktails anywhere as I did here. Tasted like Kings Cup. I have to admit that the prices for the beer were fair and the location itself was quite good. But the cocktails were such an imposition that I don't want to go through that again

Nice restaurant with affordable prices. When the weather is nice you can sit outside. Service is quick and friendly. Food is also tasty. At first we thought there wasn't much on the plate, but it was enough. We would have liked some salad on the plate so that it didn't look so dreary. But you can definitely do it.

Okay for the price but potatoes and fried potatoes only served lukewarm, schnitzel consists of far too much breading, vegetables felt cold. The burger was great.

The beer here is a unique enrichment for the city of Leipzig. I would recommend the waiter Lucas, who serves his guests with humor and friendliness. I recommend an absolute salary increase!!!!

Leo’s in Leipzig is a great address for anyone who wants to spend a relaxed evening in a relaxed atmosphere. Vegetarians and vegans have it a little more difficult, but those who are willing to go for it will still find a filling option. My veggie burger was okay - the patty was good, but unfortunately I couldn't find any sauces on it, which made the taste quite bland. A little more sophistication would have been nice here. The food came quickly and was tasty for everyone at the table. The ambience is perfect for a casual evening with friends. When it gets busy it can get a bit noisy, but that's part of Leo's lively charm. All in all, a solid place for a sociable time with good hospitality. If you like down-to-earth cuisine, you'll definitely find what you're looking for here!

I ate there again today after a long time. Had a turkey steak Leo's style. Instead of potatoes I ordered wedges and a hot white chocolate. The whole thing was served very unpleasantly. Half-full cup (large) with more milk foam instead of milk. A fly in the sauce, greasy wedges without seasoning and turkey steak ala Schuhsole. No side salad, nothing, turkey steak was on wedges, I would have done better at home. And all for 18€! If we asked, we could have had a cappuccino on the house when we left. Yes, the service wasn't unfriendly, but we sat in the corner in the sun. 10 minutes without a map, we then looked at it on the internet. It was unkind and I was understanding despite the circumstances. I should have asked for a 50% discount, it hurts my money in retrospect. The restaurant used to be better and it was probably the last time I was there. 🥲

Irish coffee with only 2 cl of Irish whiskey, which supposedly would be correct according to the original recipe - at least that's the rule at the bar in Leos -> is simply weak - then lots of firm whipped cream instead of lightly whipped cream and the whole thing only moderately warm. Googling the recipe would probably be very helpful.

The food is ok, the service is ok and I wouldn't actually like to give drinks any star.

One of my favourite places to bring friends, grab a quick drink/ bite, meet up for cocktails, have a proper dinner. Games room, bar area, restaurant area, outdoor Biergarten AND a gallery area? Caters to a variety of needs, the prices are very reasonable.

The appetizers, super quick, tasty, but the spicy guacamole dip, was not fresh or spicy, pardon my Latin taste 😆. However, it tasted good so I gave them 5/5 I ate the whole thing ❤️ The main course, it's a big portion. A perfect ratio between taste, size and price. I liked the service, the girls who served us were respectful, friendly, quick and very attentive. They also spoke English, which was a plus for me since I don't understand much German. The bathroom (I always see that) is very nice and clean. The water was cold, but that was the least of our problems. The place is also nice, clean and cozy, we were there on a Sunday so it was very quiet, no noise, everything was very nice. The drinks were delicious, the cocktail was balanced in flavor and the wine was sweet and fresh. The prices are very affordable and the location is perfect, it's in the center of the city. There is an interesting menu with alcoholic and non-alcoholic ice cream flavors. I will definitely come back because the food, service, taste and place are very balanced, it's nice to spend a nice evening with your partner, friends or even family. I recommend the place 100% and will definitely come back for the ice cream menu ❤️

We went to this restaurant around 2pm during the week and it was moderately busy. The location is close to the Höfe am Brühl and can be easily reached on foot. What should be particularly highlighted here is the service, which doesn't seem too intrusive. The selection of dishes and drinks is well coordinated and there is also a menu for the little ones. As a family, we quickly found what we were looking for and placed our order. The drinks were brought to the table quickly and the dishes arrived at the same time, which is very important to us. I ordered the Schnitzel Dubarry, but chose fries instead of potatoes. The kids ordered egg tarts and my wife ordered an omelette. For my part, I was very satisfied with the schnitzel. The fries were also delicious and the hollandaise sauce was homemade. It's a shame, however, that the ketchup came in a sachet. I might have even wished for homemade ketchup, which would have been worth a small extra charge. In addition, the fries deserve it. Unfortunately, our offspring weren't full after the pancakes. A little tip: the adult menu has basically the same dish, but twice the size. Overall, the prices are fair and you can eat well in a cozy atmosphere. ⭐⭐⭐⭐

The waitress was very friendly. My children ordered homemade egg tarts with chocolate and only received a small crepe with Nutella wrapped in plastic, which was very disappointing. Everyone was still hungry after eating a bit. My omelette with vegetables was okay, partly salty and relatively large pieces (peppers). The dip was relatively tasteless. The schnitzel was good and the hollandaise sauce was definitely homemade and really tasty. The atmosphere there is very nice. I don't know if we would go there again.

Tried some different bears and one shot of calvados. After orders drinks reached us in seconds, the food we got in less than 10 minutes. It was very deliciuos, succulent and filling saying atleast. Our waiter were very charm and made a lot of jokes 😅 They let us come in with a dog. Prices are good, food is fine all in all so worth it.

We were there for my aunt's birthday with a fairly large group. Even with a dog and 2 small children. Everything worked out quite well. Our service was super friendly and we got everything quickly. The food was super delicious! Once everyone was mostly finished eating and drinking, you kind of felt like you should leave because the tables were needed. In addition, the new, spontaneous guests were somehow selected. For example, 4 people aged around 40 were sent away, but 4 people aged 20 were allowed in. There was then a table free for them. The decoration was super loving and the upside down Christmas trees and the presents on the ceiling were super great😍 It was a bit annoying that a birthday song was played at a deafening volume about every 2 minutes, but it was all good. It's worth a visit just for the food 😊

Typical cheap low quality fast/finger food. However, at Christmas time there are also Christmas dishes for €25. Unfortunately the goose was a bit bland and only lukewarm when it arrived and the dumplings were still raw inside. We complained about this and again received a fresh whole dish. This was hot and delicious. Our waitress “Anne” was very nice and accommodating.

The food was okayish, not outstanding, the service only woke up when they realized it was a company party and the bill would be over €1000. The atmosphere was more reminiscent of a canteen.
