Leos Brasserie in Leipzig

Was there yesterday. My neighbor at the table was completely drunk and vomited on the table. Absolutely disgusting. I alerted the waitress. They refused to kick me out because of the insurance. Hey. Never again.

We visit Leo's every now and then and have never been disappointed. The farmer's breakfast is delicious, the prices are reasonable, and the service is fast, relaxed, and friendly. That's why we always enjoy coming back.

I've been looking forward to my next visit for months and was quite disappointed. Maybe I was just having a bad day. The food was unfortunately only okay, but significantly weaker than at the beginning of the year. My milkshake and even the Coke weren't tasty at all; both were very watery and flavorless, which was a first for me. The food was okay, though. The staff was excellent, as usual. Still, I won't be coming back for a while.

The two of us are from the Ruhr area and were invited to a party on Saturday. The food was very good and plentiful. However, I have to make a very serious complaint about the service. As I was leaving the restaurant, I was walking toward the exit and suddenly had a tray with a beer glass on it behind me. Since I'm not very good on my feet and have to stop sometimes, a server bumped into me. That can happen. But now you come. No expression of regret and at least a small apology. Quite the opposite: after I asked for an apology, I was still belittled in a crowded restaurant. After all, it was my own fault. I think good service looks different. It's a shame, really, because the food was really very good. Nevertheless, best wishes from the Ruhr area 😊

Best food in town, i am a loyal client, im coming here for 2 years now, been here more than 50 times, never got disappointed , the waiters always nice and smiley, food 10/10, good price, I recommend the most crunchy mozzarella burger and finger food plate, for 13€ you get full no problem.

Here you can get everything from delicious food to cool cocktails. The atmosphere is very friendly. The prices are reasonable. Plenty of space both inside and outside.

I love this place: classic pub atmosphere, great service, fresh beer and the best chicken wings! The menu is big and it's hard to say what's not here, including cocktails and ice cream. You can sit on the couch, at the bar or at a regular table, inside or outside, with a group, as a couple or alone. This is not a tourist place, there are many locals. I don't live in Leipzig and I make long transfers between trains specifically to have time to visit this restaurant!

The food is simply reheated; nothing is homemade. Everything comes from a package. Schnitzels are usually undercooked, and the staff aren't always friendly. Not recommended, although of course, if you're not sober, it's the perfect place.

Took a short break during our sightseeing tour. A bit away from the hustle and bustle, we could enjoy a relaxing drink here. Friendly, funny, and attentive staff! Highly recommended! Will definitely be back!

To this day, I've had the best snitchels here, very good, tender, and quick. The homemade chips are great, the curry dip is spectacular, very, very good. The cocktails aren't bad either. I had a Mai Tai that was, as its name suggests, delicious. This is my third time here, and I'll definitely be back.

I absolutely cannot recommend this company. The training here is a disaster – you learn practically nothing, there's no real guidance or support. Instead, there's a disrespectful and unprofessional tone that destroys any motivation. This company is completely unsuitable for apprentices. Anyone who starts their training here is just wasting time and effort. I strongly advise anyone against doing an apprenticeship here.

Very nice restaurant! The food is delicious, and the cranberries are very fair, by today's standards. The staff is super friendly and very quick. The ambiance is okay, but could use a bit of modernization. Unfortunately, there's a smoking area inside, and the smoke sometimes drifts into the regular area. It's annoying. In the summer, you can sometimes hear street music outside, which is great. I especially like accordion players; there are some really good ones in Leipzig!

We went out with cousins late evening for some beer & light food. Some in our table understood & spoke Deutsche but our conversations were in English because half of the table were visiting. The server got our order in a dismissive manner, of course half of the table didn’t know German food or the beer served there. This guy starts making rude & demeaning jokes with other tables who looked like their regulars or friends in Deutsche about us, sharing them across tables aloud. He serves beer with one hand while he is itching his rear and goes to the 2 tables & boasts about it. After, we were made aware what was happening, of course we didn’t continue our evening there. I’ve never seen or experienced anything like this in my decades of travel across countries & continents. In this day & time with google translate & social media, you would think people would try to be in their best behavior, not here.

Good restaurant, also for groups. Attractively decorated. Friendly and super-fast service. Serving 10 different dishes at once is great, and not just everywhere... The dishes themselves are okay, although they obviously use some ready-made products. Others can make much better pizza. Good value for money

I've never had such a bad pizza in a restaurant. €8.90 for a slice. One star because the fries were delicious, but that's not difficult.

We were at the restaurant last night with a group of 20 people (two families who are meeting up again today for the wedding!) – and we are thrilled! A very special thank you goes to our waiter, Dave, who made the evening truly special. Despite the size of our group, he was attentive, friendly, and always present – he regularly asked if anyone needed anything, was super organized, and always had a smile on his face. The absolute highlight: At the end of the evening, Dave gave us a personal letter – which we will open today at the wedding. Such a heartfelt gesture is truly something we don't take for granted, and it touched us deeply. Thank you so much for this wonderful evening – both to the kitchen and to Dave (!!!) We will definitely be back!

We went to Leos today with a good friend. We ordered two burgers with bacon and one penne gorgonzola. The burgers are served to your table, and then you can top them yourself. I'm not familiar with them, but I thought it was really good. You can top the burger however you like. The portion sizes are very good. As I said, we had two burgers 🍔 with bacon, fries, mayo, and one penne gorgonzola, plus three large coles, and a small Fanta. We paid €60 for everything, and we think the price is very good.

After a strenuous day exploring the amazing city of Leipzig, Franz served us Würzfleisch (spiced meat), a traditional Eastern dish, and fresh draft beer with a friendly and humorous touch. A place to relax. The menu offers a wide variety, and the drinks are served with care.

The menu is varied, the quality of the dishes is consistently good, and they don't skimp on the drinks either. Everything is freshly prepared, and you can taste it. While it wasn't sparkling clean, it was absolutely acceptable given the hustle and bustle. For us, it's definitely a place where you'll enjoy spending time – whether alone, with family, or friends. Anyone who knows Leos will gladly return. And we will, too!

The food has deteriorated incredibly. Pasta with watered-down tomato sauce, the burgers are 90% always burnt or not really good. The schnitzel, unfortunately, isn't fresh at all, in my opinion. You can unfortunately taste the strong snack bar character of most of the dishes here, only at restaurant prices. Cocktails are often very watered down; happy hour is all well and good, but if there's only 2cl instead of 4cl, that's nonsense. The service, however, is always super attentive and friendly, even when it's stressful. But the current kitchen situation is an absolute disaster. No wonder everything is ready within 10 minutes 🥲

I have absolutely nothing negative to say here. We celebrated my birthday there yesterday, July 19th. The staff were super friendly, and everyone enjoyed the food. We didn't have to wait long for drinks and food. The staff kept coming to check on us and ask if everything was okay. They tried to strike up a conversation that wasn't intrusive but very respectful, and we laughed along with the staff. You'll be seeing me there a lot from now on. Huge compliments to the kitchen and the staff.

We like to eat here when we have something to do in town. The price/performance ratio is simply excellent, and the team is simply fantastic, always very friendly, and you can have a really good laugh sometimes. The photos are from our Christmas party on December 9, 2023. The duck leg was simply delicious 🥹😋😘😘… And the whole evening was lovely too. Unfortunately, the last visit wasn't so great, as the Leo's pork steak with grilled vegetables we ordered was very tough and inedible, and the grilled vegetables were also rather oily. I would expect to be asked how the steak should be and not to serve the guest a shoe sole, and a sauce wouldn't be a bad idea either!!!

I don't recommend this restaurant. The pizza was indigestible. Everyone had diarrhea and was vomiting. The Fanta was mixed with Sprite. The bruschetta was soggy. All in all, a very bad place.

After the first bite, I noticed how bland and sloppy the bread was, and the tomato salad wasn't the best either. Then came the pizza... a true disappointment, below average even for a frozen pizza. The burger wasn't even worth talking about. A bland piece of cheese that wasn't melted, carelessly slapped onto the gray, rancid patty. When I ate the meat on its own, all I could taste was sadness and loneliness. The waiter was brilliant, and the atmosphere was mediocre. Regards

Ich hatte meinen GB gefeiert und bin sehr enttäuscht rausgegangen. Zum 1. Hatte ich dort angerufen und zu fragen ob meine Reservierung angekommen ist, da wurde mir am Telefon gesagt dass ich einfach vorbei kommen soll ( wie mir das gesagt wurde sehr genervt) 2. Hatte ich ein schnitzel mit Pommes bestellt gehabt das Schnitzel war sehr zeh gewesen an einigen stellen dann ist das Schnitzel ziemlich dick gewesen und an einer anderen Stelle wiederum dünn hat wie ein fertig Schnitzel geschmeckt. 3. Des Weiteren waren die Pommes sehr trocken und papich gewesen die waren einfach ungenießbar. 4. Außerdem ist das Leos sehr in die Jahre gekommen, die Sitze sind größten teils kaputt und eingerissen gewesen. 5. Die Ventilatoren bringen nicht wirklich viel wären die Fenster nicht offen gewesen geht man darin kaputt... 6. Und für die Qualität des Essens stimmt auch nicht das Preis Leistungsverhältnis. Für mich ist das Leos durchgefallen ich suche mir nächstes Jahr eine neues Lokal . Grüße Marco

A very nice restaurant with a wide selection of dishes. The delicious finger food platter with the homemade curry dip not only tasted great but also left me feeling quite full. The service was also consistently enthusiastic. All in all, tip-top, clean service.

I celebrated my birthday and left very disappointed. Firstly, I called to ask if my reservation had arrived, but was told on the phone to just drop by (very annoying when I was told this). 2. I ordered a schnitzel with fries. The schnitzel was very thin in some places, quite thick, and in another place thin, and tasted like a ready-made schnitzel. 3. Furthermore, the fries were very dry and soggy; they were simply inedible. 4. Furthermore, Leos is very dated; most of the seats are broken and torn. 5. The fans don't really do much; if the windows weren't open, you'd get killed in them... 6. And for the quality of the food, the price-performance ratio isn't right either. For me, Leos didn't do a great job. I'll look for a new restaurant next year. Best regards, Marco

The "Hamburger-style schnitzel" and fries were okay. Unfortunately, I couldn't eat the bruschetta. It barely tasted of tomato and was completely sweet. Our server was quite unfriendly. We had the feeling he wasn't in the mood. Maybe they shouldn't let it show on the guests. I would have imagined the ambiance outside to be nicer. It was very cramped, you almost felt like you were snuggling up to the neighboring tables. It looked quite cozy inside.

Service 10 out of 5. Anyone who brings screaming children and babies to dinner will receive a coloring book and lots of attention. Top-notch service, and the food was good and reasonably priced!

The food was average at best. I've never had so much flour mush in a mushroom side dish. My wife's pasta was also only good enough to satisfy hunger. The taste was rather subpar. I'll choose a different restaurant next time I'm in Leipzig.

Nice spot with an outdoor area. Unfortunately, when it's windy, there's a lot of pollen from the surrounding trees. Otherwise, it's a nice place to spend some time. Plenty of staff, but we still had to wait. In the end, there were five different servers serving us. The food, in our case, Wiener Schnitzel with fries, is not recommended. It tastes like a pre-made schnitzel and looks like one, too. The fries were okay. All in all, unfortunately, nothing special.

Great service, lovely ambiance, very friendly service. We were there with about 20 people for a farewell party and had made a reservation. The food and drinks were very good and varied. One waiter had a good sense of humor, another was very accommodating, and everyone was very hard-working but discreet, just as you'd expect as a guest. Therefore, 5 stars from me. We were a group of 8 people. It was a sunny Sunday and hardly anything was happening at Leo's. A group could either sit outside at individual tables (although they initially said they could move the tables around, but suddenly they couldn't) and chat loudly over everything (like the group next to us), or sit at the beer tables, which are anything but comfortable and don't allow for a relaxed posture. The waiter and waitress who served us one after the other both seemed to have absolutely no desire to work. Two of the group's breakfast orders were missing croissants, and both breakfast plates were completely taken. When we asked when the breakfast plates would be returned, there was no response; when we asked repeatedly, we were ignored and no longer noticed. By the time the croissants arrived with the rest of the plate, we had finished breakfast; the third waiter was understanding. The ignorant waitress didn't receive a tip. The food is unloving and substandard. Down the street at the end of the block is a big breakfast place, it looked delicious and the place was packed.

A cool location with indoor and outdoor seating. Everything inside is decorated in brown tones and features a variety of tables, benches, and platforms. Large trees outside provide shade when the sun is too strong. The service staff is very friendly, and everything ran smoothly. I'd love to come back next time I'm in Leipzig.

They sell flavored water, without fizz, as Sprite, and the schnitzels taste like they're frozen.

A nice, cool place in the center of Leipzig. They offer a very large selection of drinks (a wide variety of beers, white wines, red wines, cocktails, non-alcoholic drinks, ice cream cones, etc.). The three of us went to Leos again after four months. We always had a good experience, and the food always tasted great. They also catered to customers' needs when they had a problem. The last time we were there, we were all very disappointed! We ordered the pollock fillet with potato mash, but the mash was far too dry and floury. When we complained about this, the chef simply said, "That's normal, there's nothing we can do about it." We returned the entire dish because it simply didn't taste good. We also had two schnitzels with mushroom sauce, which were delicious in themselves, but the fries tasted worse than what we're used to at Leos. Furthermore, there's simply no choice anymore when it comes to food... My mother loved the spiced meat there and was unfortunately disappointed that it was no longer available, so she got the really bad pollock fillet. It was simply disappointing. After returning the car, we didn't even get a discount... It's clear that Leo's is hardly visited anymore... My conclusion is, we won't go there anymore. Maybe Leo's will recover, but as it is now, I advise against it.

We were at Leo's for the World Tour of Germany (WGT). The food was served super quickly, as always, and, as always, delicious. We especially appreciated that our special request for a homemade black lemonade was fulfilled, even though it wasn't on the menu. Service was fast and friendly. We'd be happy to come back.

Schnitzel mit Champignons , Pommes mit Schale jetzt und auch mit schlechten Stellen an den Kartoffeln. Champignons aus Dose oder Glas mit Mehlpampen Sosse ohne Geschmack und auf sehr dicken Paniertenschnitzel ,so dass die Panate weich und unappetitlich. Dass Essen schwankt leider sehr ,über die Jahre.,war schon mal besser. Der Preis ist natürlich verlockend 14,99€. Aber,lieber etwas mehr bezahlen und mit Genuss essen. Es geht so viel verloren,von der Essenskultur, wenn keiner mehr auf frische achtet,was sich doch bestimmt auszahlt.
