I just came from there and am driving back to Kiel. And I just thought: what a wonderful ending, because the food was absolutely amazing! I haven't eaten so well in a long time! Big praise again to the chef! Damn it! He knows what he's doing. It was simply exquisite! I will definitely go there again when I'm in Travemünde. I don't even need to look for a restaurant anymore, I'm so excited! Everything is great: cuisine, service, ambience! And, I normally never give 5 stars! But in this case it is deserved and justified, honestly! The savoy cabbage! The soup with chorizo! Unique!!!

Kitchen top. Staff super nice. Bring a little bit of time as the boss rocks the kitchen alone. It's worth waiting for every minute for the food. This is a great place to chat with the neighboring table. Oh yes, booking a seat in advance helps with eating.

An absolute disaster; we went again! The restaurant apparently doesn't have enough menus, so the waitress didn't have to take any orders. Since we were also supposed to be “unplaced” in order to apparently make optimal use of the tables (our table neighbors, who had already had their starters too, by the way…), we left again. The waitress was unreasonable and unwilling to discuss or apologize. You never treat guests like that!

Like every time in Travemünde, a visit to Leopolds is a must. The service and advice is great. You will also be given advice about things that are not on the menu, such as delicious spare ribs. It is currently chanterelle season and there are many variations. Since there is no special menu for vegetarians, we asked and various dishes were immediately suggested. Thank you for that

Leopold's in Lübeck Travemünde impressed us across the board. As soon as we entered the restaurant we were warmly welcomed by the extremely friendly and attentive service. The service was consistently courteous without being intrusive. The food was simply perfect. Every dish was not only a visual delight, but also tasted at the highest level. The fresh ingredients and the loving preparation made our visit a culinary experience. The ambience also contributes significantly to the feel-good factor. Leopold's offers a cozy and inviting atmosphere that invites you to linger. Everything is just right here – from the first-class cuisine to the outstanding service to the pleasant furnishings. Overall there is nothing to complain about. Leopold's is a place to return to and to recommend without reservation. An absolute must for anyone looking for a special culinary experience in Lübeck Travemünde.

We discovered this restaurant today. And what can I say, it was super delicious. This was the best restaurant we have found here in Travemünde so far.

The service was very nice and explained everything very well. Upon request, every wish was fulfilled. Of course the food tops everything. It was really crazy. I can only recommend everyone to eat here. 😊😊😊

The large (according to the card) plaice consisted of two small ones, payment with card not possible, no receipt, billing completely confusing and possibly excessive.

Great restaurant, it shows once again that it's also worth taking a look at what's available in the second row. The food was excellent, great price-performance ratio, the service was good, the service was super friendly and in addition to the rustic interior (pub style, I really liked it), there are also some tables outside. We were there yesterday (Friday). There was a delicious buffet with fish, meat, delicious side dishes and tapas. Great home cooking. The buffet was constantly refilled. Super nice hosts, everyone pitched in. If you like it cozy and away from the mainstream, this is the place for you.

We were there yesterday evening after Travemümder Week had finished work. At Reiko we felt cared for in a way that I have never felt before. You are greeted at the door with a handshake. A nice restaurant where you still have German cuisine.

Just got ripped off as a tourist. Schnitzel all you can eat, just dry schnitzel without sauce and side dishes. Many prices on the bill were different than on the menu. We were there with 11 people.

Great service, very friendly staff, excellent cuisine, everything fresh and homemade.

We ate there yesterday and loved it. My wife had a baked potato with chanterelles and I had the marinated ribs with a side dish. It was actually a very special taste experience. It's always worth taking a look at the second row of the beach promenade. Every now and then you discover beautiful pearls of gastronomy there. And this rustic and cozy pub is without a doubt one of them. On top of that, the landlord and the staff are great. We will 100% come back. 😊👍

Hello, hello, it was a lovely evening with great food and cold beer

We ate at the Leopold Restaurant with 2 families (including 3 children). We received a very warm welcome, despite the needy and hungry children. The children immediately received art supplies and balloons. The food came quickly, was beautifully prepared and tasted fantastic. We are really excited about the overall package: great food, top value for money and very friendly and attentive service. We'll definitely come back.

When we were looking for a restaurant where you could eat good fish, we found it here by chance. The waiter gave us a very friendly welcome and always had a suitable saying 😄 He explained the menu to us very well and immediately gave us a recommendation, which we then took. The fish was really delicious and also came from Travemünde. The price for the food is absolutely justified and not too expensive either. We will be back definitely! 😎

Not crowded and long waiting time 1 hour

Sometimes the 2 . Row the best. Salespeople who travel a lot expect little in a place like Travemünde (so of course a lot for tourists, but little for the “normal traveler”). This is the home for humanity and great quality. When the “natives” play Canaster, the drinks come as they come If you can barely drink it and then the food is more than good and served by an entertainer, then you've arrived at Leopold's Never Again 1st Row.

ENGAGED! THE LACK OF STAFF HAD A VERY NEGATIVE EFFECT. OUT OF SIX DISHES ORDERED, TWO WERE NOT AVAILABLE.

There should be more places like this - nice host, funny service, the food is tasty despite the huge selection. Everything is OK. Come here, dear friends from near and far, visit this place!

A very well received meal after driving from Brussels. The fish and meat medley were recommended by Pierre. The salad beforehand was most welcome. A great restaurant for respite. The foods very good. Made better accompanied by delicious beer. Lovely unpretentious place with a relaxed ambiance. Take Pierre’s advice;)

Food was very good, staff was very friendly

The first time in the Leopold as a greeting we first listed what wasn't there. Then I ordered what was available: matjes with fried potatoes. I had the feeling that the matjes fresh out of the package were different. Then I paid for an action that I hadn't had yet and the note with the amount was placed/thrown at the table. Service looks different.

We were here on Good Friday 2024. We reserved a table from home without knowing that there was an Easter buffet. Unfortunately, many of the meat dishes were not hot. The meatloaf was seasoned. The pasta salad was convincing. The innkeeper was very nice. Would come here again, but not for the buffet.

Leopold's is in the "second row" in Travemünde. Actually visited to eat "schnitzel", but then let the friendly service convince you of the rich, delicious buffet: This was definitely a good choice and can be recommended without reservation: If you are a guest in Travemünde, you shouldn't miss the buffet!

Rather rustic atmosphere and familiar pub charm, but friendly, attentive service, and the crab soup, the Baltic Sea plaice Büsumer style, the Travemünde fish plate with a few dark beers on the side - delicious and in the end full and happy ;-)

The cod fillet with dill potatoes was very good. The salad with homemade dressing also tasted great and was freshly prepared. The service was very friendly, and the restaurant itself was a bit fresh. Otherwise highly recommended.

We were there to eat roast goose live on December 25th, 2023. We would have had the perfect dinner Given 10 out of 10 points. Everything was perfect, from the friendly service to the starters (Reiko's legendary Consume . . from the goose) right up to dessert. Thanks 👍 to the team, we will definitely come back. The restaurant is a bit hidden (in the 2nd row, so to speak). But once you find it, it's a recommendation. The shop is a bit rustic, not very big, but that doesn't have to mean anything. In any case, it should be noted that the staff - we met two very committed and good-humored employees - easily ran the shop and had a lot of fun at work. The menu is very extensive and it's hard to decide. The prices are very reasonable, especially considering that everything (as far as we could tell) is freshly prepared. The food was simply great. Be it wild boar liver, whole plaice or a plate of fine fish - everything was simply very tasty and the portions were large. Also worth highlighting were the excellent fried potatoes - like at Nuts. We have a clear recommendation. We would love to come back.

Home kitchen, big choice. You can pay a fixed price for the evening and you can choose what and how much you will eat. Very kind hosts.

Ordered 2x schnitzel with mushroom cream sauce and 1x plaice fillet. Before that there was a salad that still crunched. The schnitzels were large, the breading was thicker than the meat (which was the thickness of a slice of sausage) and unfortunately very little or not seasoned at all. The fish had a lot of bones and unfortunately the taste wasn't impressive either. There was a lot of breading here too. The fries were good but unfortunately not much. The dishes were around €20 per person, which is actually okay. We paid just over €83. For food and 3 drinks. (2x Cola Lithe and 1x Kiba. We didn't know where the 23 euros for 3 drinks came from either. We gave 90 euros and agreed that we wouldn't go to this restaurant again. It's a shame, because the service was nice.

Good home-style restaurant, friendly service and very good food, always worth it in Travemünde

We were “recruited” on the street and were curious. The next day we went and were very pleasantly surprised. The service was very nice, the food came to the table really quickly and hot. It was beautifully prepared and we also enjoyed it very much. We can recommend garlic bread, spicy potato soup, schnitzel and Indian-style plaice with a clear conscience. Price-performance ratio is definitely right here. A good example of how the best places are not always at the forefront. A stroll through the back streets to Leopold's is definitely worth it. Travemündes beste Küche. Die sehr freundliche, bestens ausgebildete Bedienung und das hervorragende Essen sind eine richtig gute Visitenkarte für Lübecks kleinen aber feinen Hafenort.

Preis-Leistungsverhältnis stimmt meiner Meinung nach nicht. Wir haben für 4 Personen 290€ bezahlt. Bekommen haben wir dafür eine Ente mit Rotkohl und Knödel es haben leider Preiselbeeren und Pfirsiche über der Ente gefehlt. Am Ende gab es noch einen kleinen Nachtisch und ein paar Getränke dazu. Wir waren schon duzende Male dort jedoch gibt es in Travemünde andere Orte, die sich für den gleichen Preis mehr lohnen. Vor allem dafür das man Bar bezahlt und die Rechnung handschriftlich ausgestellt wird. Die Dame die uns an dem Abend bedient hat, und der Geschäftsführer waren sehr nett und haben sich trotzdem sehr viel Mühe gegeben.

Wir waren heute mit vier Erwachsenen und zwei Kindern dort essen. Alles war super und es wurde auf jeden Wunsch eingegangen. Das Essen war lecker und auch Extrawünsche wurden ohne Probleme gelöst. Vielen Dank und wir kommen bestimmt wieder.

Sehr leckeres Essen(Vorspeise+Hauptgang+Dessert) alles sehr köstlich. Egal ob Muscheln,Ente oder Rippchen - empfehlenswert. Tolle Bedienung, alles super!

Wurden auf der Straße mit Flyer angesprochen. Auf unserer Antwort "Nein, Danke. Wir wollten nur irgendwo ein Fischbrötchen zum Essen mitnehmen." bot man uns an, uns jeder ein frisches nach Wunsch zu machen. Das waren keine Fischbrötchen, sondern riesige Fischbaguettes. Üppig belegt und sehr lecker! (Bei Gosch waren die nicht mal ein Drittel so groß.)

Die Empfehlung war gut und es hat gut geschmeckt.
