A-ROSA Travemünde in Lübeck

The Superior Park View double room we booked was a 20-year-old room (just as expensive as the renovated ones) overlooking the parking lot and parking garage. I imagine Superior to be different, and I've experienced it differently. It was also a shame that the half-board offer online only included breakfast when booking, but it was just as expensive as half-board. It's also not nice that the hotel wasn't able to offer dinner on Easter Sunday. The advertised time out and relaxation wasn't really possible, as no one made sure that the many loud and boisterous children in the wellness area, stairwell, and hallways would simply be quieter. And I'm especially referring to the children between 8 and 14 years old. If that had been our experience during our stay at the end of January, we wouldn't have come back. We will definitely visit the hotel again, but not on public holidays or school holidays.

We felt very comfortable as a family and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The restaurant offered a great selection for both breakfast and dinner. The wellness area was fantastic and the staff were very friendly. It's wonderful to see young people in training, and the integration of people with disabilities into the company is absolutely commendable.

Our honeymoon in Travemünde at this beautiful hotel was more than a success. We felt very comfortable here and were able to enjoy all the amenities the hotel has to offer. We would definitely love to come back. The friendly a-ROSA team made our stay a truly memorable experience with their creative approach, and thank you so much for that.

A really nice hotel but there is a lot to improve.

A very, very nice hotel with a really good restaurant. A great spa! We had a really nice time. The cocktails at the bar are, in my opinion, exorbitantly expensive: a Pornstar Martini for €18.50 is a lot!

Overall, we had a wonderful vacation. The hotel has a great location, and the staff were very friendly. The breakfast was exceptionally good. Very, very plentiful, and everything was super fresh. I don't think it could be better, and for us, it's now a unique selling point among A-Rosa hotels. Breakfast was also served in the most architecturally beautiful area, with an outdoor terrace and a view all the way to the sea. Dinner was also available there, but since dogs aren't allowed there, that wasn't an option for us. It's somewhat incomprehensible that dogs aren't allowed outside on the terrace either. Overall, the main building was very attractively designed, and the spacious bar invited us to enjoy a last drink in the evening. We stayed in the "new building," and this was where our very positive impression faded somewhat. It felt like we were staying in a different price category. The room was fine, apart from the overall poor lighting in the bathroom (the light in the shower was also broken), clean, large enough, and with comfortable beds. The furnishings and carpeting, however, are in stark contrast to the price and we felt they were inadequate. This was the worst room we've ever stayed in compared to other A-Rosa hotels. The value for money here was not at all right. We also booked a sea-facing room but only got a partial sea view, supposedly because of the dog, but this was actually already known when booking. The charging stations in the hotel parking lot also worked well, so we were able to return home with fully charged batteries, in every respect.

We come to the Arosa regularly because our children love the fantastic pool area. Unfortunately, the dinner buffet has very few vegetarian dishes. Overall, the prices have risen so much that we no longer feel they are reasonable.

I can't say anything about the rooms. I called today to see if two rooms for two adults and one child were still available. The answer was yes. I asked for a little time to think about it. I called 5 minutes later to book, of course, happily announcing that we had a room. It's just that we suddenly couldn't book the second room with a child. It's a shame, I can't recommend it! Prices like in Heiligendamm, poor service. Sorry, that's just not acceptable!

A very nice hotel with spacious rooms. The newer section has a balcony, some with a great view of the Bay of Lübeck. The older building has only windows, but offers a classic ambiance. Good pool and wellness area with indoor and outdoor pools. There's also a family sauna. Breakfast offers a very extensive selection, including a juicer where you can juice your own vegetables and fruit to your liking.

The staff is dog-friendly. Breakfast and dinner are to our liking. There's a wide selection. The spa area is large enough without feeling like a commercial pool. My only criticism is the scheduling of appointments for massages and cosmetic treatments. It's often not possible to book a Saturday appointment at short notice (two weeks before arrival). We'll be back.

We would like to share our positive experiences at the Arosa Travemünde. Every time we stay there, we immediately feel welcome and well looked after. Breakfast is always a highlight for us – there's a great selection that makes the day start perfectly. Our room is spacious, very clean, and comfortable – we notice that attention to detail is paid here. The sea view is particularly beautiful, making our stay even more relaxing. It's simply wonderful to wake up in the morning with a view of the sea and start the day. The staff is always friendly, warm, and helpful. It makes the stay even more pleasant when you realize you're greeted with a smile. Sure, the rooms may be a bit older, but that didn't pose a disadvantage for us. Everything is well-maintained and clean, so we always feel comfortable. Overall, the Arosa Travemünde is a place for us to relax and unwind. We're already looking forward to our next visit and can recommend it to anyone looking for a lovely break in Travemünde with a sea view!

We stayed at the A-ROSA Travemünde again and were completely satisfied this time too. We received a warm welcome upon check-in and were able to move into our ready-to-use room right away. We particularly appreciated the personal touch: a rose with a friendly greeting from the hotel manager. This time, the room was particularly spacious and offered a wonderful view of the sea. The breakfast deserves special praise. The selection was varied, lovingly prepared, and there was something for every taste. Everything was continuously replenished. We particularly liked the always well-stocked basket of fresh vegetables such as tomatoes, cucumbers, zucchini, and carrots. The various types of salt and pepper in stylish containers were also a beautiful eye-catcher. Every morning, there were also tasty highlights such as golden turmeric milk or NOI Tella. The selection of jams, the Franzbrötchen (French rolls), and the pancakes were not only delicious but also attractively presented. The service team was extremely friendly and attentive – empty plates were cleared promptly, and you always felt welcome. The visit to the bar was also pleasant. The staff was just as courteous and friendly as in the rest of the hotel. The room cleaning also left nothing to be desired. Conclusion: We once again thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the A-ROSA Travemünde and can wholeheartedly recommend the hotel. A place where you feel at home – we would be happy to return.

All in all, it was a very pleasant stay. From the spa treatments to the comfort of the room to the excellent food (breakfast and one evening buffet), we were completely satisfied. The staff was also very friendly and always had a smile on their faces.

We felt welcome here from the very beginning. Thanks in part to the Rose, of course. We especially enjoyed the pools, as the Baltic Sea wasn't inviting us for a swim every day of our stay. It would have been nothing without the friendliness of the staff, regardless of their area of ​​work – THANK YOU!

This was our second visit, we had a voucher to redeem, and overall it was a pleasant stay. The wellness area was great, the food was not bad, and staff were friendly throughout. However, checkout felt a bit impersonal — the receptionist didn’t ask about our experience and went straight to the invoice. For the room price, we expected a more thoughtful farewell.

I had a great weekend here and would love to come back. Spacious room on the third floor with a great sea view and a comfortable mattress. Cool pools and saunas. A rich breakfast selection and impeccable service from start to finish.

We were there for a weekend with children and can absolutely recommend this great hotel. You feel super comfortable from the first minute. The highlight is an exceptionally competent and very friendly team and an excellent breakfast and dinner. The wellness area and location are great anyway. We'll definitely come back.

I booked a single room for €193.00 with breakfast. I got a room in the Kurhaus with stained carpet and very worn furniture. The toilet flush only partially worked, the water became warm after 15 minutes in the evening. The bedside lamp was crooked. The last renovation must have been decades ago. At the reception I was told that this was because I had booked the simplest category and that they would note that I no longer wanted to stay in the Kurhaus next time. However, I had to compare it with the rooms that my friends had booked: in the main building, more modernly furnished with half board for around €280.00 for two people! Breakfast and spa are very good, but the price for this room was not at all reasonable!

Travemünde and the surrounding area have enough beautiful places for hiking and cycling

We were there for 4 days and it was a great vacation to relax and unwind. The food, and especially the dinner, was a poem!

It's just a dream to be pampered there. I can't imagine a better place to recharge your batteries and relax. And not to mention the food, it is hard to resist. Top location, very nice SPA, the breakfast buffet is awesome! All wishes are fulfilled here. Friendly service, pleasantly relaxed. The minibar with non-alcoholic drinks included. I would like a coffee machine in all rooms, it is common in other hotels and only available in the suites here.

We have been here for the second time and were once again thrilled by the great wellness area, the extremely friendly hotel team and, above all, the mega breakfast and evening buffets that make many 5* hotels look old. The only drawback, perhaps if you can say anything at all, is that there are no sockets by the bed and no Netflix etc. But we'll definitely be back!

An actually very nice hotel. The SPA area and sauna master Rudi are to be praised. He is extremely competent, nice and responds very well to the guests. A real role model. The kitchen team is very committed. With half board there is a buffet in the morning and evening. The food is of good to very good quality, is always fresh and has a good selection and quantity. It is regularly topped up and checked. However, the gastronomic concept and the management of the restaurant are unreasonable. Although there are “actually” no fixed seats, some of the tables are specifically reserved for families. The result is that there are far too few places for half-board guests who have to look for a table. In some cases, guests have to sit outside (with jackets) or in a distant adjoining room. There are not enough service staff to provide adequate service in this category. You sometimes have to organize your own glasses, salt and pepper and cutlery. A properly set table is more likely to happen by chance. Used plates are only slowly cleared away. It takes forever to order drinks. The waiters are friendly and committed, but unfortunately completely overloaded. When asked, the waiters admitted that they were understaffed. On the day of departure, despite having made a reservation by 11:00 a.m., we were asked out of the room by the cleaning staff at exactly 10:00 a.m. Our objective criticism was responded to either indifferently (reception) or snippy (reception in the restaurant). All in all, it's a shame. With better organization, personnel planning and management, the hotel's demands could actually be met... EDIT to the feedback from A-Rosa: What exceptional situation? We just wanted a seat in the (!!) restaurant (and not anywhere else), service that was reasonable for the price and not to be chased out of the room. In good hotels, these are not demands that lead to an “exceptional situation”…… However, the feedback matches the reaction of the staff on site. Whether the guest liked it doesn't seem to matter. Sad…..

Unfortunately I had to correct my first impression. Rooms are great, there is still a lot of room for improvement in the service. We previously stayed at the Grandhotel Heiligendamm (5 star hotel) and added a few more days at the Arosa in Travemünde. Arosa is also a 5 star hotel, but in no way comparable to Heiligendamm. It's a shame, the next holiday in October was booked today in Heiligendamm. A little tip: I can do half board with an evening buffet as a package holidaymaker. In a 5 star hotel I expect a menu with half board, for example like in Heiligendamm. I don't feel like queuing at the buffet like in a youth hostel. Please also train the service with regard to friendliness and service thoughts for the guest. So Arosa is now over for us in the future.

Everything was really great! What we found very, very nice is that children of all ages are welcome here. Finally a hotel where parents don't always have to warn their children to be quieter because someone feels disturbed. We were here as a grandpa-grandpa couple but will definitely come back with our grandchildren.

A room with a beach view and when the weather is nice. Courteous staff at reception. Likewise in the buffet restaurant. The choice of food at breakfast and dinner buffet is excellent. The icing on the cake are the two show kitchens. We would be happy to check in there again.

As a solo traveler, I felt very comfortable and welcome in this stylish hotel. The superior double room on the park side is very spacious and quiet, beautifully furnished and equipped with a beautiful lighting concept. The bed is very comfortable and the water pressure in the modern shower is great! Everyone I met was extremely friendly and accommodating. Also the other guests. There was no crowding at the buffet or anything similar. Housekeeping also made a great impression. The buffet in the morning and evening was simply amazing. Even when the evening was full, the waiters and waitresses always remained attentive and friendly.

We stayed in the spa suite as day guests and enjoyed treatments. The latter were very, very good, as was the friendliness and service of the staff. We didn't like the price-performance ratio of the spa suite itself at all, especially since the balcony was actually unusable because you would have had to sit constantly in other people's cigarette smoke.

We had a wonderful weekend, delicious drinks, great food and a wonderful spa to relax. The Carls restaurant, which is part of the hotel, is also highly recommended!! We always enjoy coming back. Many rooms have already been renovated. Excellent service. Changing rooms went without any problems. Everyone was nice, friendly, helpful. The swimming pool and sauna are hard to beat. The breakfast leaves nothing to be desired. Parking has been increased from 15 to 20 €/day. That's quite steep (public parking compared to €4/day); Glass of wine from 9 to 10 now €12. Price in local restaurants 6.50 - 8 €. But everyone can decide for themselves.

The A-Rosa Hotel Travemünde is located directly on the Baltic Sea and close enough to the promenade to take a walk along the water or into the city. It's a very well-kept hotel, the room is modernly furnished and apart from the fact that you can hear the water pipes in the rooms above, everything is great. The welcome is very warm and professional, thank you again. The rose given was also extremely charming. The food is varied, tasty and very balanced. The service was friendly and sometimes felt understaffed. The spa area is really great. It doesn't matter if the weather is bad. The range of massages, the sauna, the pool area and the fitness studio are great.

A hotel that I can recommend to everyone. A completely worry-free experience from start to finish. Children and dog friendly and adapted to everything. People with food intolerances and allergies can eat there without any problems because the staff is very considerate and listens to your wishes and also cooks extra. I was even allowed to watch and was able to eat there without worrying. Just great. A big thank you here. When I checked in I was given a rose as a welcome gift. There are more than 2 elevators where people without any aids can also ride. The staff is very attentive, friendly, dressed accurately and often asks if you are satisfied. I had already noted 3 that were immediately fixed. The dining room is bright and friendly and the buffets are varied, there is something for everyone. Fruit and vegetable juices are freshly squeezed and constant care is taken to ensure that everything is topped up. There is a separate smoking lounge that is tastefully furnished. It should also be said that the entire hotel is lovingly designed and the real plants everywhere add a certain splash of color. A spacious bar invites you to linger in the evening with live music. I could write so much that I won't, because this hotel is indescribable and everyone who has the opportunity should experience a night in this great hotel. Oh one more thing. I was there for my birthday and when I came to breakfast there was a cake and a card on my table and every member of staff who came towards me congratulated me. It was a great experience and I would like to thank the entire hotel team for the great time.

Für uns das schönste Wellnesshotel in Norddeutschland. Ein traumhaft großer Spabereich, alles sehr sauber, toller Ausklang im großen Barbereich. Unbedingt im Carls nebenan ein Tisch reservieren. Das gesamte Personal sehr freundlich. Das Frühstück lässt keine Wünsche offen, in jedem Fall kommen wir wieder ! … Auch die Mischung zwischen Pärchen/ Familie mit Kindern passt . 👍 Auch kleine außerordentliche Wünsche werden selbstverständlich erfüllt . Waren am WE vom 2.-4.02.24 dort .

Ich bin bereits das 9te mal da gewesen, ich denke, dass sagt doch alles. Alle sind hier sehr zuvorkommend und Freundlich. Leider war der Wellness Bereich dieses Wochenende so voll, dass es nicht einen " Ruheplatz" gab. Was ich auch sehr schade fand, wir hatten eine Suite und haben leider erst am Abreisetag erfahren, dass wir hätten auch in einem separatem Raum essen können. Schade ist auch, dass die Toiletten viel zu weit vom Essensraum sind, für meine Mom mit Rollator ,war das nicht gut. Dieses hatte ich vor 2 Jahren, da war ich mit Krücken da, schon angemerkt. Und was m.E wirklich unglaublich ist, ist der Parklatz mit eur 20/ Tag, dass ist wirklich überhöht. Dennoch....wir kommen wieder. Liebe Grüße

Ein schöner Tag für einen Wellness-Tag. Super Fitnessstudio, klasse Schwimmbad und tolle Saunalandschaft. Die Mitarbeiter waren alle sehr nett und zuvorkommend. Man könnte aus allen Festen auf die Ostsee schauen. Einziges Manko waren die immer leeren Getränkespender und Obstteller.

Die Erholung fängt schon in der Lobby an. Nett und Freundlich und dann noch ein Willkommensgruß in Form einer wunderbaren roten ROSE 🌹. Jeder sollte das wunderbare Frühstück und Abendessen auf keinen Fall verpassen. Das ist das beste Büfett Essen welches ich bis jetzt hatte. So schmackhaft. Vielen Dank für den schönen Aufenthalt 😊

Als Frühbucher erhält man in dem für Normalsterbliche hochpreisigen Hotel ein gutes Angebot incl SPA, das mit seinen Angeboten schon was Besonderes ist. Wir haben uns wohl gefühlt.

Einfach ein wunderschönes Hotel! Wir waren jetzt schon öfter hier und wir waren jedes Mal begeistert. Freundliches Personal, gutes Essen ein erholsamer Spa Bereich und einfach eine schöne Atmosphäre. Die Zimmer mit Meerblick sind wirklich zu empfehlen. Wir kommen definitv wieder!!

Einfach alles perfekt, vom Service, dem Zimmer dem Wellnessbereich, den Anwendungen und dem Essen, Frühstück wie Abendbuffet waren ein Gedicht. Wir waren schon mehrfach hier, hatten zwischenzeitlich einen weniger guten Eindruck, der aber jetzt völlig ausgemerzt wurde. Es war ein toller und entspannter Aufenthalt. Wir waren gerade da und haben heute wieder für die nächste Auszeit gebucht. Herzlichen Dank an das gesamte Team vom A-ROSA Travemünde.

Tolles Hotel mit riesigem Indoor/Outdoor Pool und Wellness-Landschaft. Hervorragender Service und das beste Frühstücksbüfett, was ich je erlebt habe! Absolute Endstufe mit endlosem Angebot für jedweden Geschmack. Wenn es überhaupt Anlass zur Kritik gibt, dann ggf. die etwas überzogenen Parkgebühren von 20€ pro 24h, unabhängig davon, ob man im Parkhaus oder draußen steht. Ladesäulen für e-KFZ vorhanden (kostenpflichtig), sowohl im Parkhaus, als auch draußen. Wer hier etwas sparen möchte, kann jedoch schräg gegenüber auf dem sehr großen und öffentlichen Parkplatz für 4€/24h parken (dreckige Schuhe allerdings inklusive! Dieser öffentliche Parkplatz ist in wirklich sehr schlechtem Zustand).

Es ist ein wunderschönes Hotel, wo man sich super erholen kann. Das Spa Angebot ist toll, das Essen war einfach lecker, die Zimmer sind modern , gemütlich eingerichtet und das Servicepersonal war sehr freundlich.
