Very poor Staff is not good food is very dirty

I love the food at Lei’s. We ordered the chilli pork wings which are authentic and deep fried with spices, seaweed salad from Hunan region that are sour and spicy, and there’s two kinds of eggplants. The more authentic ones is the classic Chinese eggplant with the chili peppers、not the sweet one. Service is sooooo slow. Takes 45’ to get food to the table :’(

The cucumber salad was good, dumplings are very disappointing. I also ordered duck with peanut sauce, but what I got was something different, definitely with no peanut in it. At least that dish was tasty. Super average Chinese restaurant, with below average cleanliness and slow service. If none of these matter to you, at least the portions are big .

The food is good, and the portions are really generous. The service is fast and attentive. What doesn’t convince me is the ambiance, which is very casual and, in my opinion, poorly furnished. They could pay a bit more attention to details or make it cozier with a small renovation. But I can’t complain about the food; I found everything truly delicious. However, I wouldn’t choose it again.

Authentic Hunan cuisine. Super tasty for people who don't just like Europeanized Chinese cuisine. Nice service at really fair prices.

Beautiful food. Han an aubergine dish with rice. Was so big we couldn't finish it. Best way to serve rice I've ever seen!! Delicious food and always something different to try. Really happy this place is close to our house!

At the beginning of the visit there was a barking waitress with a very loud and unfriendly tone who didn't really listen to you. General cleanliness leaves a lot to be desired. Food tastes like a flavor enhancer but not necessarily bad.

The food is delicious, the atmosphere is very modest and sometimes unkempt. Floor sometimes a bit slippery. Unfortunately, good air in the restaurant is in short supply. Service was very nice.

Waiting time for two soups was around 1h.

The service experience here depends on the day. But the food always tastes good! If you can't sit outside, I would prefer to take the food with you, as the inside doesn't look that clean.

Very expensive, totally oversharpened. It should be said that you don't want to eat dishes that are too spicy. Nevertheless, all 3 dishes were inedible. Were disappointed. 2 stars for being able to sit outside.

I picked up food and ate it at home. The restaurant is located right on the noisy street, so the ambience was only 4/5 and the employees all had a very rough tone and were not very friendly... It's a shame because the food was a smooth 5/5 😍🤩

A place to come back to. The prices are very good considering the portions. This is how I imagine Chinese home cooking.

I think the food is great. Super authentic and really tasty. Unfortunately, service is always a bit haphazard. Sometimes you wait 15-20 minutes for the beer. Some rooms serve and others serve, and no one knows what's going on. This works both when taking the order and when delivering the food. People always ask who had what, etc. The ambience is typically Berlin. Chairs on the street, it's very cold inside because there are tiles and simple seating. Typically Chinese, the dishes are somewhat larger and vegetables and meat are often ordered separately. Here are a few things I can recommend: -Starter: cucumber salad, silken tofu, pig ear salad - Main course: Beef with cumin, pork belly 5 layers, tomato with eggs or egg with bitter melon. Served with pak choi or cabbage. Eggplant in the casserole is also a good classic. If you want something to snack on, take a few pork ribs.

Nice service and large tasty portions. I really enjoyed the fried noodles with egg and chicken. Unfortunately, in my opinion the portion was too big.

Great family restaurant - dishes felt like the real deal and very spicy that I don’t even have to ask to turn it up a notch. I live on the other side of town and a friend recommended to try Lei’s Küche and was not disappointed to travel all the way for this. Price to serving size ratio was also very generous.

I waited for an hour for a salad to be served, and at the same time, I kept placing takeout orders. Exaggeration. There are several tables next to me in the same situation.

Honestly, the food is good but they're not nice to people of color. They made me and my date wait two hours after constantly asking for when our order is coming. Then they got my dates order and made me wait 30 mins more. By the time we got our offer it was 10:30 pm while we arrived at 8:30pm. Though I ordered only one dish. My date was a white guy his order came 30 mins before mine. They told me I was last in queue when almost all white people who came after me had eaten and left. I'm never coming back. Horrible service and don't expect any efficiency. If you're a person of color stay the heck away from this place.

Food is very very very late. You can order and eat in the near by restaurant and come here to eat.

Rarely have I been received so unfriendly and rude! We should take the menus and sit down! An older lady then came to take our order - so rude - if we hadn't been under time pressure and hungry, we would have left the restaurant immediately. Then the food we ordered was pushed towards us, the table was still a bit dirty. But the food was good and very tasty! Despite all the criticism of the surroundings: the food was good! However, it was refined by the young employee walking around the restaurant with an electronic fly catcher and collecting small flies. Not really inviting!! Luckily there are alternatives to this restaurant - Chinese restaurants can also be friendly and clean!

Looks crowdy, but not up to the expectations of price we paid, good thing is that it has wide varieties all low to medium price range. May be i would suggest to try different things than the below ones. we order vegetable soup (looks great, tastes nothing), beef (meat was good) noodle (was not great) soup and crispy chicken (deep fried) with egg fried rice (not so great in taste). Cash only restaurant.

Terrible experience. Food not good. We ordered 5 different dishes, and half of them were burnt, the other half had no flavor or seasoning. a real disappointment.

Visits to the restaurant are very ambivalent experiences and a moment of happiness. I was there alone when there was little going on and the food tasted good. Unfortunately I was there with my husband at peak times and there were always unpleasant experiences, I was forgotten twice. My husband got the food after a long wait, I was forgotten, it was brought quickly and tasted very strange, like soap and not like I was always familiar with. I returned the food and left the restaurant. Today we tried again, unfortunately at rush hour, both of our meals were oversalted. I also had mine 2 weeks ago and it tasted good and not like today. After a short time I asked for the bill and to pack the food so that I could get home to remove some of the salty taste and continue eating. We were given 2 plastic cups with aluminum foil and told to do it ourselves. Remarkable!! We both decided never to visit the restaurant again!

Nice Chinese restaurant right on U Seestrasse. We came here for a quick meal and it was delicious. But it took a moment for the food to arrive. Our dish came with a small bucket of rice which was very thoughtful. The price was ok and the service was very friendly and accommodating. We will definitely stop by here again.

That's it. The quality has deteriorated significantly over the last few months. On our last visit we got balsamic vinegar instead of soy sauce with the dumplings. The Spezi we ordered tasted stale and lacked carbon dioxide. Once, instead of the sweet and sour sauce, a huge pile of ketchup was simply added to the fried chicken. I think you probably forgot to process it into the right sauce. Our main courses have gotten progressively worse over the months. When it's crowded, the service is terrible. Orders are either incomplete or completely forgotten. And these are not isolated cases. We often gave Lei's kitchen last chances because it was once so good. But you have to accept that those times are over 😬

The dishes seem authentic and are cheap, but unfortunately they don't taste good. Some of them appear as if they have been thawed and warmed up. Unfortunately not worth recommending

Delicious, fresh, good price - full package. Tofu gong bao is perfect. Usually there a full house, so u have to wait a little bit, but it's worth it.

Last night the restaurant lost us as frequent customers. Pure profit maximization. It's just not possible to have many additional tables outside on the sidewalk with the same number of staff. And orders outside the home were also accepted and probably processed with priority. Waiting time for the drinks was 1 hour. They were warm, except for the tea, which was cold. Then another 1 hour wait until the first dish came. These waiting times should simply have been communicated to us and other guests who came after us. There was nothing but chaos and we should have left straight away. The food yesterday wasn't worth the 2 hour wait either. A pity.

The food is greasy and EVERYTHING smells like fish, and they tried to cheat us on the bill. Highlight: The family dog ​​simply walks in and out between the kitchen and the street, greetings from the health department. Scruffy.

The quantity of dishes is relatively small, and one dish is not suitable for five people. The taste is okay, some dishes are slightly salty. The grilled fish is not recommended, it is not the Chinese kind of fish without bones, it is very ordinary.

The restaurant's service is slow, the food comes now and then. The staff's attitude is poor. When bringing out the food, the staff seems to throw food in the customer's face. The staff doesn't know how to speak German. Won't come back because of staff attitude.

My boyfriend and me loved it. We both got the Mapo Tofu and vegetable dumplings. The food arrived fast and was very hot. The taste was great, next time I'd get the dish spicier.

My chicken with cashews tasted artificial. It's also really overpriced for the quality of the food. The sauce in particular tasted strange. It cannot be compared with the Chinese restaurants, for example on Kantstrasse in Berlin. It would be acceptable for a maximum of 8 euros but definitely not close to 14 euros.

I sit for over 30 minutes. with my family at the table without us being spoken to. We had to bring our order to the staff ourselves. After a total of over an hour there was still no food, but people who sat down at a table after us were already starting to eat. I can't say anything about the food because we seem to be forgotten. I don't understand the good reviews.

Spice is adjustable in this restaurant, want less spicy or super spicy, no problem. They can do that for you. A lot of positions, and very popular restaurant. At the evening even at Sundays very crowded place. Big portions, authentic taste. I recommend trying with friends few dishes by sharing. Cooked dumplings wasn’t my favourite, the dough was pretty thick and hard. Other dishes very fresh and aromatic. Unfortunately we didn’t get 4 dishes in the same time. There were 30 minutes differences between received first dish and second.. and 3 and 4. And small mistakes (I got wrong type pasta in the soup) which was also okay, it was super tasty. But thanks to this mistakes and dumplings I need to take 1star away. I have been there more than 5 times already. Great place to come with friends.

The dishes are authentic. Everything tasted wonderful. The service was incredibly unfriendly. And the place is dingy. I'll still go back because of the delicious aubergine with garlic.

Unfortunately we had to find out the hard way that this Restaurant is absolutely not worth the try. We came here for lunch and the service was absolutely not friendly from the very beginning. My friend is not Asian and the waitress gave him much attitude whereas she greets the table after us with totally different tone. And we ordered simple fried rice dishes and we waited like 30 min, the table after us and even the table after them almost finished their dishes. And the fried rice was so wet and salty that we gave back the dishes. The waitress then shouted "don't come back if you don't like rice", we didn't argue with them and just left. This is the worst place we have visited lately.

I was there for the first time. I ordered crispy duck with vegetables etc. When I got home I was very disappointed, the duck was so soft, flaky and full of fat that I couldn't eat it and the sauce was only spicy with pepper even though it didn't say spicy. And that wasn't cheap. Couldn't eat almost anything. Very disappointed, many people had given this restaurant a secret tip. Maybe I'll test it again based on the recommendation

An authentic shop, with solid food, which of course is all very, very oily. Unfortunately, service wasn't very friendly, there were long waiting times (1 hour) and the entire meal wasn't served one after the other, but bits at a time. This means you can't eat together. Ambience is ok, but unfortunately also very dirty and loud. Every millimeter was used, which doesn't make the experience so beautiful. But, you always have to say this: it is an authentic experience. :) I still wouldn't recommend it though. Berlin has many more and better options. Thank you anyway!

It is an amazing place. Prices are good, food is amazingly delicious and there are a lot of varieties.

Waited for our food for over 1 1/2 hours, place was busy which got my hopes up for good food, but the ridiculously long wait made the food just ok and service was also pitiful. Sorry, but not coming here again.

The store is a little confusing. You are served quickly, but you have to wait quite a long time for your food. (a soup and some noodles)

Restaurant found as a fallback. Terrible food. Not recommended. After an endless wait, we sent back a dish that was salty to the point of being inedible, but they neither refunded nor gave us a discount. I have never sent a dish back in 7 years of living in Berlin. To be avoided.

Very authentic Chinese food. Really very tasty and absolutely recommended. I'll definitely be back, even if the service leaves something to be desired, not very friendly, rushed and inattentive. Still a clear recommendation because the food is really, really good.

Bad food, very salty. One employee is particularly rude for no reason. Air in the restaurant is also not good due to lack of ventilation. A dog runs around the restaurant, including in the kitchen, where all the plates are on the floor. There is ABSOLUTELY NO hygiene here, that exceeds every limit of impudence. Unfortunately, there is absolutely no consideration at all for people wanting to eat here. Of course, you can only pay in cash and no invoice will be issued, even if you specifically ask for one. Poor quality food, excessively salty. One staff member is particularly rude for no reason. The air in the establishment is also poor due to lack of ventilation. Worst restaurant experience in 10 years in Berlin. A nice birthday dinner was planned. They made an “abstract” reservation on the phone - they didn’t want to know the name. Okay, so there will be enough space. 9 of us arrived as agreed by phone, and lo and behold, the restaurant is full. We had to wait another 20 minutes for our reservation. Then extremely confusing interactions - the wrong food was brought to the table almost a dozen times - beer with a bottle without a glass. The main reason for this rating was the waiting time after ordering. The first main course came after 15 minutes, the second after another 10 minutes, the other two after 20 minutes and the remaining dishes came after another 30 minutes. As a result, we ate at completely different times and were extremely annoyed. Guests who arrived later than us received their food before some of us. Given the long and irregular waiting times, this evening was an absolute failure. The food was average.

Total crap shop. Even one star is too much (are all the reviews bought or do people have no taste?). We waited almost two hours for our order. Guests who arrived after us received their food after just 15 minutes. At first I thought they had forgotten about us. We asked the waiter several times and the guy did his best. The management just couldn't get it together. I noticed that the waiters always serve the same type of dishes at the same time. This gave me the idea that chefs "collect" a variety of similar dishes and cook them all at once. I tested this theory. After two hours my food still wasn't there, I asked if I could change my order and ordered the same food as from the other table. After 5 minutes the food came straight away! So they really collect a dozen orders first before preparing the food. I took a look into the kitchen. It was very dirty and there were some disgusting juices all over the floor. The chefs strolled around comfortably in the juices!!! This store needs to be closed!!! Oh well, the waiter who did his best should receive a tip from us for his efforts. HOWEVER, THE WAITER SAID THAT HE HAD TO PASS ANY TIPS ON TO HIS BOSS.

Too few staff, too long waiting times.

Good food, eggplant is recommended. It's very familiar and therefore slightly unprofessional. The waitress looked a bit unkempt and touched my glass from the inside. The food was freshly made (good) but the starter didn't come until we were all full. Was an experience

The restaurant is so crowded. The food is served very slowly. Then there was a Chinese waiter in the store who had a terrible attitude. I said, "Hello", and he just said "Say," and didn't look at us the whole time. He would get impatient if we asked more questions🙄. I came here to eat, and I don’t owe him a billion... Then I collected cash, and there was no detailed list of dishes. Definitely won't go there again.

Last time was a terrible disappointment. It was our third visit. I remembered the food was great each time, but this time they simply could not handle the amount of visitors - only two people preparing the food, and two serving, as a result we waited for over 40 min to order, and close to 1.5h to be served. They kept putting new folding tables and chairs between the existing furniture, making it impossible to move, instead of forming a line so that people can sit once tables are free. They also kept taking orders from people who arrived after us, telling us again and again they'll come to us... after the third time that happened I walked up to the counter and that was when they finally let us order. The food was prepared in a terrible hurry, things were not cut properly and the spring rolls - which unlike everything else we tried, were fried from frozen ones, were cold on the inside and the sauce served with them was expired (it's the sweet-sour sauce we're quite familiar with and it shouldn't have a vinegary aftertaste). The next morning we woke up with aching bellies and I was sorry I insisted on going there again. :(

I went to the Chinese restaurant near Wedding about 2.3 times and ordered stir-fried dishes. I thought they tasted pretty good, especially the boiled pork slices and ground three delicacies that I ordered recently. As a Chengdu native, I prefer spicy food and I thought the boiled pork slices were delicious. It's okay, you can ask for more spiciness. The few times I've been to the store, it was quite crowded, and sometimes I had to wait for the staff to adjust the seats and maybe share a table. It's better to sit outside in the summer, but go early in the winter to avoid waiting. There are quite a lot of foreigners in the store, and the service seems to be a little hectic at times, haha. That’s understandable, it’s really busy when the catering business is good.

Unusually good and authentic Chinese restaurant

Hygiene is under no circumstances even acceptable?! The floors are dirty and let’s not even get started on staff returning unfinished rice from other clients. The stench in the restaurant is inexplicable. Can’t recommend.

Really flavorful and fresh food, we were really impressed! You actually see them working on fresh dumplings in between handling customers. We had the Ma Po tofu and cashew chicken. It wasn’t the fastest service but the food was worth the wait.

上菜出奇的慢，餐馆没多少人还特别的慢，我们点了4个菜（包括简单的紫菜蛋花汤、包菜），半小时毫无动静，催了一下，10分钟后终于端上来了紫菜蛋花汤和包菜…..

Sehr gutes Essen, authentische chinesische Gerichte, sehr frische Zutaten.

Ich besuche dieses Restaurant seit bestimmt 10 Jahren regelmäßig. Gestern hatte ich aber leider ein Erlebnis, das mich dazu bringt, hier nicht mehr einzukehren und auch eine deutliche Warnung auszusprechen. Zunächst möchte ich auf die Chefin eingehen. Sie ist leider sehr unhöflich und scheint auch außergewöhnlich auf ihren Gewinn ausgerichtet zu sein. Erstmal kein Problem, aber ich fand gestern leider eine Serviette in meinem Reis. Ein deutliches Indiz dafür, dass man den Reis der gegangenen Gäste einfach wieder auffüllt und dem nächsten Gast vorsetzt. Meine Vorgänger haben ihre Serviette wohl beim Aufräumen des Tisches im Reisbehälter hinterlassen. Diese wurde dann beim Auffüllen übersehen, weil sie weiß ist. Leider kann man nun nur darüber spekulieren, an welchen Stellen noch zu Ungunsten des Gastes gespart wird. Außerdem würde ich der jüngeren Kellnerin empfehlen, nicht auf Chinesisch über die Gäste in einer unangemessenen Art und Weise zu sprechen. Ich konnte sie leider verstehen, als sie über uns sprach, nachdem wir den neuen Koch lobten. Wenn das Restaurant voll ist, werden auch gerne so viele Klapptische aufgestellt, dass Rettungswege verstellt sind. Wirklich schade, es war eine super Adresse für authentisches chinesisches Essen.

Das Essen ist lecker. Bringt viel Zeit mit,denn man muss nur Ewigkeiten warten bis man bestellen kann und dann nochmal eine weitere Ewigkeit bis man das Essen bekommt. Leider ist der Rest vom Restaurant nicht so super. Es gibt nur 1 nette Mitarbeiterin, die Deutsch versteht und auch spricht. Die Wartezeit ist eigentlich unerhört für ein schnell Restaurant. Wenn das Restaurant voll ist, ist es schon öfter passiert,dass man mich nicht gesehen hat. Sodass ich erstmal auf mich aufmerksam machen musste ,um eine Karte zu erhalten oder bestellen zu können. Wenn wir eine gute Alternative im Kiez finden,sind wir weg. Im Sommer ist der ganze Gehweg versperrt,weil so viele Leute da Sitzen,dumm quatschen und die Tische blockieren für andere Gäste. Nur Barzahlung möglich und kein Lieferservice!

全柏林最难吃的中餐没有之一，不知道为啥说是湖南菜，真的太难吃了

Cheap, decent and tasty food. Nothing to write home about, or to plan a visit, but if you're around it's worth it. The fried chicken was good, the rice comes in big piles and the pack Choi in garlic sauce was very tasty.

Hatte etwas Schwierigkeiten mit Stäbchen zu essen, aber was sein muß - muß sein! 🤗

Wir saßen in einer Ecke gequetscht, sehr ungemütlich. Service war recht unfreundlich. Essen war enttäuschend: Gong Bao Huhn getränkt in schwarzen Bohnen mit Gurke und Möhren??! und möglichst wenig Huhn. Frittierte Aubergine war zum Teil nicht richtig durch, Ingwer als Zutat wurde einfach weggelassen, wahrscheinlich zu teuer. Mapo Tofu war ok, Rippchen schmeckten alt. Alles war deutlich zu süß und getränkt in Soße.
