Legit the best duck I've ever had, seriously good food. G6 highly recommended. The service is fine, they're not particularly friendly, but quite fast. It's a bit pricey, but still okay. The place was super crowded and tight. The area is not nice at all, right in front of a big street with cars flying past. The menu had photos (big plus), but is also very disorganised and hard to read. They didn't give us a receipt and did not accept credit cards.

Mega good food, can really recommend with a clear conscience, very friendly staff and the food incredibly fresh and very tasty, I'm going back today ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

Unfortunately an absolute disappointment. We waited over an hour for our takeaway - without any updates from the staff. When we politely asked after an hour if we could get our money back because the wait was just too long (only ordered two dishes), we were completely ignored as if we weren't even there. The service is generally unfriendly and chaotic. I'm half Chinese and grew up eating Chinese food, so I know what good Chinese food should taste like - and unfortunately this was far from it. The won ton soup had a broth that only tasted like hot water. We were also given the wrong dishes when we ordered earlier. We live right around the corner and would have liked to order here more often, but there are definitely better shops in Berlin. After these experiences – never again!

I love this place, I love the atmosphere, the service and the food. They only accept cash but there are two ATMs less than a block away

Since I live in wedding, this is my go to place. I am vegan and this place has so many amazing meals to offer. I pick up their delicious cucumber salad at least once a week. I agree with some of the ratings, that there is room for improvement in terms of ambience - it certainly isn’t a place to propose :) however, the staff is incredibly nice, the place is a vibe and I appreciate how nice the service is to my dog.

I love lei’s kitchen! Ordered G6, it's the best dish, I even got the number tattooed on me ;) the food is always fantastic and even if the ambience isn't as fancy as somewhere in pberg, the food is authentic and you always get good quality at fair prices.

Too few staff, too long waiting times.

The food is terrible, as if a bottle of salt had fallen into the dishes. Sticky floor, untidy environment, terrible service, long waits. It's basically a "super restaurant". It's extremely salty and has no other taste. When I came in, I found out that they were all German. I ate something that I shouldn't have in the food... The store acted like nothing happened, and the experience was extremely bad👎🏻

So so so so DELICIOUS! I'm completely blown away. I haven't eaten this well in a really long time. So authentic and delicious - absolute recommendation!!!

That’s some food. Really flavourful, not overly sweet as most Asian joints in Europe tend to be, spicy, and feels very authentic. Great cashew kung pao, mouth-watering duck, and lovely dumplings. I am looking forward to trying more menu options next time I’m in Berlin. The pavement-setting garden outdoors sitting area is a city dream in the summer, and I would recommend it to every urban vibe lover.

Lei used to be our favourite Chinese restaurant in the area in the last 3 years. Unfortunately in the last visit the food quality really decreased, portions became smaller. It still tastes okay but really nothing special, like it used to be. Very disappointing service as well

Great good, very generous portions. We had the cucumber salad, the aubergines with garlic, the tofu and cashew nut vegetables and the pork belly. All were great plus you get a big bucket of rice.

Review for Lei’s Kitchen – Berlin Lei’s Kitchen is classic Chinese, but honestly, for me, the best I’ve ever experienced! As vegetarians, we had the braised eggplant (Z12) and the tofu in pepper sauce (Z1) - both simply incredibly delicious. You also get a large pot of rice that stays warm and is more than enough. The braised eggplant was an absolute highlight. They are served on a tea light so that they sizzle even further - a great experience for the eyes and the taste buds. The taste was so intense and perfectly seasoned that I still can't believe it. The tofu in pepper sauce was in no way inferior - spicy, tender and just as delicious. I really couldn't decide which was better because both were the best vegetarian food I've ever tasted. As far as service is concerned, don't expect miracles. The staff are friendly, but it can take a while for the food to arrive. The decor is rather simple, but that doesn't bother you at all - because the food makes up for it all. I would go there again at any time and I really can't forget this taste experience. Lei’s Kitchen is an absolute insider tip for fans of Chinese cuisine, whether vegetarian or not!

The food is good, and the portions are really generous. The service is fast and attentive. What doesn’t convince me is the ambiance, which is very casual and, in my opinion, poorly furnished. They could pay a bit more attention to details or make it cozier with a small renovation. But I can’t complain about the food; I found everything truly delicious. However, I wouldn’t choose it again.

The food was delicious, but we had to wait a while to place our order.

It was completely cooked for foreigners. I ordered Kung Pao Chicken. It had no other taste except sweetness, and the vegetables in it were not authentic. The ground fresh food and tofu on the table next to me are not authentic, so I don’t recommend them.

I love the food at Lei’s. We ordered the chilli pork wings which are authentic and deep fried with spices, seaweed salad from Hunan region that are sour and spicy, and there’s two kinds of eggplants. The more authentic ones is the classic Chinese eggplant with the chili peppers、not the sweet one. Service is sooooo slow. Takes 45’ to get food to the table :’(

The cucumber salad was good, dumplings are very disappointing. I also ordered duck with peanut sauce, but what I got was something different, definitely with no peanut in it. At least that dish was tasty. Super average Chinese restaurant, with below average cleanliness and slow service. If none of these matter to you, at least the portions are big .

Authentic Hunan cuisine. Super tasty for people who don't just like Europeanized Chinese cuisine. Nice service at really fair prices.

Beautiful food. Han an aubergine dish with rice. Was so big we couldn't finish it. Best way to serve rice I've ever seen!! Delicious food and always something different to try. Really happy this place is close to our house!

At the beginning of the visit there was a barking waitress with a very loud and unfriendly tone who didn't really listen to you. General cleanliness leaves a lot to be desired. Food tastes like a flavor enhancer but not necessarily bad.

The food is delicious, the atmosphere is very modest and sometimes unkempt. Floor sometimes a bit slippery. Unfortunately, good air in the restaurant is in short supply. Service was very nice.

Waiting time for two soups was around 1h.

A place to come back to. The prices are very good considering the portions. This is how I imagine Chinese home cooking.

I think the food is great. Super authentic and really tasty. Unfortunately, service is always a bit haphazard. Sometimes you wait 15-20 minutes for the beer. Some rooms serve and others serve, and no one knows what's going on. This works both when taking the order and when delivering the food. People always ask who had what, etc. The ambience is typically Berlin. Chairs on the street, it's very cold inside because there are tiles and simple seating. Typically Chinese, the dishes are somewhat larger and vegetables and meat are often ordered separately. Here are a few things I can recommend: -Starter: cucumber salad, silken tofu, pig ear salad - Main course: Beef with cumin, pork belly 5 layers, tomato with eggs or egg with bitter melon. Served with pak choi or cabbage. Eggplant in the casserole is also a good classic. If you want something to snack on, take a few pork ribs.

Nice service and large tasty portions. I really enjoyed the fried noodles with egg and chicken. Unfortunately, in my opinion the portion was too big.

Great family restaurant - dishes felt like the real deal and very spicy that I don’t even have to ask to turn it up a notch. I live on the other side of town and a friend recommended to try Lei’s Küche and was not disappointed to travel all the way for this. Price to serving size ratio was also very generous.

Honestly, the food is good but they're not nice to people of color. They made me and my date wait two hours after constantly asking for when our order is coming. Then they got my dates order and made me wait 30 mins more. By the time we got our offer it was 10:30 pm while we arrived at 8:30pm. Though I ordered only one dish. My date was a white guy his order came 30 mins before mine. They told me I was last in queue when almost all white people who came after me had eaten and left. I'm never coming back. Horrible service and don't expect any efficiency. If you're a person of color stay the heck away from this place.

Food is very very very late. You can order and eat in the near by restaurant and come here to eat.

Rarely have I been received so unfriendly and rude! We should take the menus and sit down! An older lady then came to take our order - so rude - if we hadn't been under time pressure and hungry, we would have left the restaurant immediately. Then the food we ordered was pushed towards us, the table was still a bit dirty. But the food was good and very tasty! Despite all the criticism of the surroundings: the food was good! However, it was refined by the young employee walking around the restaurant with an electronic fly catcher and collecting small flies. Not really inviting!! Luckily there are alternatives to this restaurant - Chinese restaurants can also be friendly and clean!

Looks crowdy, but not up to the expectations of price we paid, good thing is that it has wide varieties all low to medium price range. May be i would suggest to try different things than the below ones. we order vegetable soup (looks great, tastes nothing), beef (meat was good) noodle (was not great) soup and crispy chicken (deep fried) with egg fried rice (not so great in taste). Cash only restaurant.

Terrible experience. Food not good. We ordered 5 different dishes, and half of them were burnt, the other half had no flavor or seasoning. a real disappointment.

Visits to the restaurant are very ambivalent experiences and a moment of happiness. I was there alone when there was little going on and the food tasted good. Unfortunately I was there with my husband at peak times and there were always unpleasant experiences, I was forgotten twice. My husband got the food after a long wait, I was forgotten, it was brought quickly and tasted very strange, like soap and not like I was always familiar with. I returned the food and left the restaurant. Today we tried again, unfortunately at rush hour, both of our meals were oversalted. I also had mine 2 weeks ago and it tasted good and not like today. After a short time I asked for the bill and to pack the food so that I could get home to remove some of the salty taste and continue eating. We were given 2 plastic cups with aluminum foil and told to do it ourselves. Remarkable!! We both decided never to visit the restaurant again!

Nice Chinese restaurant right on U Seestrasse. We came here for a quick meal and it was delicious. But it took a moment for the food to arrive. Our dish came with a small bucket of rice which was very thoughtful. The price was ok and the service was very friendly and accommodating. We will definitely stop by here again.

That's it. The quality has deteriorated significantly over the last few months. On our last visit we got balsamic vinegar instead of soy sauce with the dumplings. The Spezi we ordered tasted stale and lacked carbon dioxide. Once, instead of the sweet and sour sauce, a huge pile of ketchup was simply added to the fried chicken. I think you probably forgot to process it into the right sauce. Our main courses have gotten progressively worse over the months. When it's crowded, the service is terrible. Orders are either incomplete or completely forgotten. And these are not isolated cases. We often gave Lei's kitchen last chances because it was once so good. But you have to accept that those times are over 😬

Authentic Chinese restaurant very tasty but you have to be patient

Last night the restaurant lost us as frequent customers. Pure profit maximization. It's just not possible to have many additional tables outside on the sidewalk with the same number of staff. And orders outside the home were also accepted and probably processed with priority. Waiting time for the drinks was 1 hour. They were warm, except for the tea, which was cold. Then another 1 hour wait until the first dish came. These waiting times should simply have been communicated to us and other guests who came after us. There was nothing but chaos and we should have left straight away. The food yesterday wasn't worth the 2 hour wait either. A pity.

Rude staff. Inattentive to orders. Hopefully an exception.

The quantity of dishes is relatively small, and one dish is not suitable for five people. The taste is okay, some dishes are slightly salty. The grilled fish is not recommended, it is not the Chinese kind of fish without bones, it is very ordinary.

The restaurant's service is slow, the food comes now and then. The staff's attitude is poor. When bringing out the food, the staff seems to throw food in the customer's face. The staff doesn't know how to speak German. Won't come back because of staff attitude.

My boyfriend and me loved it. We both got the Mapo Tofu and vegetable dumplings. The food arrived fast and was very hot. The taste was great, next time I'd get the dish spicier.

My chicken with cashews tasted artificial. It's also really overpriced for the quality of the food. The sauce in particular tasted strange. It cannot be compared with the Chinese restaurants, for example on Kantstrasse in Berlin. It would be acceptable for a maximum of 8 euros but definitely not close to 14 euros.

I sit for over 30 minutes. with my family at the table without us being spoken to. We had to bring our order to the staff ourselves. After a total of over an hour there was still no food, but people who sat down at a table after us were already starting to eat. I can't say anything about the food because we seem to be forgotten. I don't understand the good reviews.

Spice is adjustable in this restaurant, want less spicy or super spicy, no problem. They can do that for you. A lot of positions, and very popular restaurant. At the evening even at Sundays very crowded place. Big portions, authentic taste. I recommend trying with friends few dishes by sharing. Cooked dumplings wasn’t my favourite, the dough was pretty thick and hard. Other dishes very fresh and aromatic. Unfortunately we didn’t get 4 dishes in the same time. There were 30 minutes differences between received first dish and second.. and 3 and 4. And small mistakes (I got wrong type pasta in the soup) which was also okay, it was super tasty. But thanks to this mistakes and dumplings I need to take 1star away. I have been there more than 5 times already. Great place to come with friends.

Unfortunately we had to find out the hard way that this Restaurant is absolutely not worth the try. We came here for lunch and the service was absolutely not friendly from the very beginning. My friend is not Asian and the waitress gave him much attitude whereas she greets the table after us with totally different tone. And we ordered simple fried rice dishes and we waited like 30 min, the table after us and even the table after them almost finished their dishes. And the fried rice was so wet and salty that we gave back the dishes. The waitress then shouted "don't come back if you don't like rice", we didn't argue with them and just left. This is the worst place we have visited lately.

I was there for the first time. I ordered crispy duck with vegetables etc. When I got home I was very disappointed, the duck was so soft, flaky and full of fat that I couldn't eat it and the sauce was only spicy with pepper even though it didn't say spicy. And that wasn't cheap. Couldn't eat almost anything. Very disappointed, many people had given this restaurant a secret tip. Maybe I'll test it again based on the recommendation

An authentic shop, with solid food, which of course is all very, very oily. Unfortunately, service wasn't very friendly, there were long waiting times (1 hour) and the entire meal wasn't served one after the other, but bits at a time. This means you can't eat together. Ambience is ok, but unfortunately also very dirty and loud. Every millimeter was used, which doesn't make the experience so beautiful. But, you always have to say this: it is an authentic experience. :) I still wouldn't recommend it though. Berlin has many more and better options. Thank you anyway!

It is an amazing place. Prices are good, food is amazingly delicious and there are a lot of varieties.

Waited for our food for over 1 1/2 hours, place was busy which got my hopes up for good food, but the ridiculously long wait made the food just ok and service was also pitiful. Sorry, but not coming here again.

The store is a little confusing. You are served quickly, but you have to wait quite a long time for your food. (a soup and some noodles)

Restaurant found as a fallback. Terrible food. Not recommended. After an endless wait, we sent back a dish that was salty to the point of being inedible, but they neither refunded nor gave us a discount. I have never sent a dish back in 7 years of living in Berlin. To be avoided.

Very authentic Chinese food. Really very tasty and absolutely recommended. I'll definitely be back, even if the service leaves something to be desired, not very friendly, rushed and inattentive. Still a clear recommendation because the food is really, really good.
