Please, find another restaurant; there are plenty on Kirli. Everything here is terrible: the food isn't freshly prepared, the tables are dirty, the toilets are awful...etc. Terrible.

The portions were a joke, and the price was high. A tourist rip-off. The pictures here don't reflect what you get.

Unfortunately, I can't recommend it to anyone. We had a long wait for our food. The olives were frozen, and we didn't get any bread for our dip. And using wooden plates, I don't know if that's hygienic. The service was very friendly, though. Unfortunately, it was very disappointing.

Unfortunately, it was quite disappointing! There was little on the plate, the food was lukewarm, and the taste was rather poor. The vegetables were on the antique plate path and definitely not fresh. Maybe it was just a bad day...

Thanks to a Syrian friend, I'm familiar with authentic Syrian cuisine. This, unfortunately, has nothing to do with that. The fattoush was, unfortunately, just chopped vegetables with rancid oil on fried flatbread. No oil, no spices, nothing. The tabbouleh salad consisted almost entirely of chopped parsley and was also unseasoned. The bulgur was, unfortunately, overcooked and also bland. The outdoor area was dirty and not particularly inviting. The stars are only for the really friendly service, who were very attentive.

It's such a shame. The service was super friendly. The food, unfortunately, wasn't good. Syrian cuisine is actually so good. Unfortunately, it was unseasoned, lacked oil, and served rather carelessly.

We got the food after 56 minutes of ordering !!! The waiter is really inexperienced, when i ordered i asked for the drinks to be served with the food but the drinks came after 10 minutes and the food after 56 minutes… they made me a discount by canceling the drinks from the bill, BUT i ordered mix grill for 4 persons ( the price is 59€ on lieferando) and they made me pay 80€ ( as in 4 separate dishes which is 20€ each) only the hummus was decent and the rest was bad, we even didn’t eat half of it ( we were so hungry after a full day in the zoo). And the tables outside were so dusty, like really thick dust. Never again

The meal was a disaster. The beef was raw. After a complaint, they cooked it again. It still didn't taste good. It took 50 minutes for the food to arrive at the table.

Very tasty food. I had the lamb platter, good meat, and a great price. A 0.4l beer was €3.50, so I definitely recommend it.

Despite reservations, it was simply closed and no one told us! We were there at 6:30 p.m. and it was closed.

I can't understand the many bad reviews. We are on a short trip to Leipzig and the Antique was close to our accommodation. As we walked past we thought, oh let's try it. What can I say... EVERYTHING done right. Friendly service, reasonable waiting time for food and the food was very, very tasty! The prices are very cheap. We had a starter platter, two main courses and a tzatziki and 4 drinks and paid just under 50 euros. We would definitely come back.

We ordered through Wolt and didn't get what we wanted at all. When we called we were simply told that the menu had changed and when we asked if we had at least been delivered something similar they stubbornly denied it. Unfortunately the service wasn't good at all and very ignorant. We still get a few stars for the food because it was delicious, but unfortunately we can't imagine ordering here again.

It took over an hour for the food to arrive, which unfortunately wasn't particularly tasty. I cannot recommend the restaurant.

Despite the many positive reviews (which we now strongly suspect are not authentic), our visit was a disaster. The restaurant was almost empty, but we still had to wait forever for our food. The service staff seemed completely overwhelmed, walked around the room haphazardly and inattentively, barely spoke and understood little of what we said. Friendliness? None. The menu promised authentic Syrian dishes - what we got had absolutely nothing to do with that. Charred vegetables, extremely sour hummus, and the dishes ordered were not served as described. When we pointed out that something was missing from our plates, all we got was a curt "We recently changed something here. That's just the way it is now." The change is not reflected on the menu. No accommodation, no explanation. Another point that struck us as very negative: the receipt was formally incomplete and lacked mandatory content. A visit here would definitely be exciting for the tax office and the health department. Conclusion: We are very disappointed, can absolutely NOT recommend this restaurant and advise everyone not to be deceived by the good reviews!

Unfortunately very disappointing experience. Has nothing to do with Syrian food. Also, the Polo drink was served with 7Up and some mint, which is not at all the way it was originally prepared. This experience should not be repeated.

I have rarely been so disappointed by a supposedly Syrian location! Zero ambience, canned food, grilled unpeeled asparagus as a vegetable side dish... and to top it off, Latin American music at a volume... without words. Sorry, as a lover of oriental cuisine, this was a complete disaster! Sorry, - 1 point 😠

Warmed meat that you get after waiting 1 hour. Seldom eaten so badly.

Too bad. We wanted to try something new. I had ordered specially. There were 3 tables occupied in the restaurant. After 45 minutes we had asked for our food. In between, no one asked us if we would like something to drink or we weren't given any information that the meal would take a while. We hadn't ordered anything great that would have justified the length of preparation. The quality of the food wasn't special. Dry meat, vegetables that were already fried black on one side. Never again. We would have had a better choice with a kebab from the snack bar next door.

Well, only moderately. Lamb kebabs tiny, gristly and cold. Kibbeh bone dry and without any side dishes. Since there was supposedly a new chef, everything took a long time. No longer.

Unfortunately, I absolutely cannot understand the good reviews for this restaurant. The water we had ordered to drink was not brought to the table until we asked for it, after over 30 minutes. We waited another 40 minutes for the food. Unfortunately, only products of inferior quality were served. The olives and hummus were particularly clearly recognizable as cheap supermarket products. The pomegranate seeds were missing from the salad. Overall a big disappointment.

We reserved a table specifically, when we arrived there was nothing available and other guests had to be moved. Orders will only be accepted after repeated inquiries. The drinks took 45 minutes. After arriving at the table, the food (starter and main course) all came at the same time, although ordered differently. Some of the dishes did not correspond to the description and components were missing without any comments. Unfortunately, the taste of the food was just ok and absolutely nothing special. I can't understand how this restaurant gets its reviews - I think I bought it!

Our reservation? Cannot be found. First there was no space, then squeezed into a corner that was far too narrow. The wait for the food took forever - and when it finally came, it was not only the wrong thing, but also a disaster in terms of taste. Bland, bland and definitely not what you expect for the price. And then the toilets… dirty and just disgusting. All in all a disappointing evening. We definitely won't come back here!

Unfortunately, the food tasted bad, was cold, and very poorly presented on the plate (contrary to all the great pictures on the menu and the reviews here). Three-quarters of the meat and one of the sauces weren't fresh, which apparently resulted in food poisoning in one person. It's a real shame, because the servers were attentive and the ambiance was actually quite nice (if a bit run-down). We won't be back...

Unfortunately, I can't understand the very good reviews. The rooms seemed a bit unfinished, but overall quite charming. The service was friendly but a bit low effort. The food (4 people, 2 main courses that were advertised as a platter for 2 people) was super disappointing. A very small amount of food, carelessly prepared, taste at best ok. Each person received a quarter of thin flatbread with a “mezze plate”. Ridiculously little food really: 2 teaspoons of hummus, 2 teaspoons of beetroot spread, 6 tablespoons of couscous, 1 tablespoon of tabbouleh, 2 mini börek (3cm), 7 small olives, 2 falafel balls, 5 small perperoni, a handful of fried vegetables = main course for 2. We no longer understood the world. Finely priced, but not cheap. Oh well :(

A great restaurant! It's really worth going here for Syrian cuisine. From beer to appetizers to dessert, there's a good selection of typical dishes. The preparation is quick and the food was delicious - though a little more seasoning would have benefited some of the ingredients. Our personal highlight was the dessert, although we unfortunately didn't take a photo. The team there is really nice, and despite a few minor hiccups, we went home satisfied that evening.

We ordered food here based on the good Google reviews. The sauces were expired and inedible. The rest of the meal was also a disaster. The food didn't look anything like the pictures... a complete disappointment.

Delicious food, which is at least partly freshly prepared, very nice owner and courteous service and an interesting and, at least from what I know so far, partly unique selection of dishes. My only concern is that with the prices, either the staff or the quality of ingredients suffers.

Unfortunately our visit to the restaurant wasn't good. At first they didn't realize that we had reserved. Then we waited 30 minutes for anyone to even pay attention to us. Then we ordered drinks and food and then it took another half hour for the drinks to arrive, of which another drink was forgotten. There were 2 wait staff and the place is small. Then how can you deliver such poor service? Unfortunately it didn't work at all!

We had dinner here with my partner on a special day for us and wanted to end the evening comfortably, but the evening ended with a bad mood and an empty stomach. After a long wait (over 30 minutes) my partner still didn't get his food. When we asked the waiter he said. You only ordered the vegetarian dish (which, incidentally, did not correspond to the menu. Rice was nowhere on the menu and other things were missing). It later turned out that he had taken the order correctly but had forgotten it. No “I’m sorry” or anything like that! My food was also inedible, it was neither fresh nor warm, but cold and tasted of nothing. We relied on the good comments and were happy. I only received cutlery upon request. It may be that in Syrian culture people eat with their hands, but I wanted to spare the other guests this sight. All in one: NEVER again!!!!!! I've never experienced such disappointment and I eat outside a lot. Worst service ever!

So if it were up to me, there shouldn't be a star at all. We ordered a tea and an iced tea and received two teas. Okay, it can happen... noted it and improved it. However, the ginger-lemon tea tasted like NOTHING?! Then we each ordered a VEGETARIAN PLATE and the VEGAN PLATE came. I repeatedly told the waiter about this and he said he would let the kitchen know. Then another man came and asked what the problem was. I explained that we didn't get what we ordered and he said the VEGAN PLATE was the same as the VEGETARIAN PLATE. Which is not true, according to the description on the card. The man started discussing with me what the problem was. I repeated that we would like to get what we ordered... since the ingredients are different. Instead of taking the plates back and turning the vegan plate into a vegetarian one, they left them and just gave us each a piece of haloumi and börek. But the fact that the vegetarian platter contained more was ignored. For example, we had to Avoid stuffed grape leaves. We were also charged more than what we actually cost. I find it impossible and an absolute impudence to give me something as a guest who also pays without me having ordered it and then expecting me to be satisfied with it. As a SORRY there was hummus and something sweet but come on. Nope... that made me extremely angry and ruined our evening! Definitely NOT RECOMMENDATION for other Leite!

The food is okay. During our visit there was only one person responsible for service and kitchen, which led to long waiting times. It's better to avoid the toilets. We're definitely not coming back.

The atmosphere is lovingly designed and we were looking forward to the food. We waited a long time to be served (about 20 minutes before we were allowed to order). Not everything was served as ordered, which was not corrected afterwards. For dessert we ordered baklava, which was served with a green cream with pieces of dough and chocolate sauce. Maybe we just had a bad day, but we won't visit again.

Unfortunately I cannot recommend this restaurant. The food was really disappointing and the service was terrible. We had to wait an extremely long time for our food. An order never arrived and when the food finally arrived we found paper in it - completely unacceptable! Taboule, baba ganoush and hummus were delicious. I recently visited this Syrian restaurant, and I was truly impressed! The decor is absolutely stunning and traditional, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere. The food is incredibly delicious, and the service is outstanding – the staff are super friendly and attentive. The prices are also very reasonable. I highly recommend trying the Batata Harra , the cheese rolls and the sujuk – they are absolutely amazing! I will definitely be coming back!

You really have to visit. Simply great... I'm thrilled and the food is simply a dream. We had the menu, the starter came and it was really plenty. Then came the main course wow. By then we had 11 bowls plus a grill plate. Dessert also came. Everything was really delicious. The price for all this delicacy is simply unbelievable. That's what you pay for a schnitzel with others. A great evening, everything was simply great, the food, cocktail (the best Sex on the Beach I've ever had), music, belly dancing, staff. The offer via Too Good to go should have a value of 17.70. The price of the surprise door is 5.90 via the app. Even for the price, cold vegetables, rice and a flatbread are a bit poor. If I had bought this for 17.70 I would have been more than just annoyed. There's no way I'm going there for any meal. Maybe you should at least adjust the “actual value” in the app. As is now the case, expectations can definitely be more than disappointed.

Went there for the first time today and absolutely loved it. Because of the nice weather, we sat outside. We had an antique platter for two and it came beautifully presented on a long wooden board. Everything was very fresh and tasty and also plentiful. Unfortunately, the desserts were still being prepared, so unfortunately there was no dessert for us today. But we didn't think it was that bad, as we will definitely always go out to eat at the Antique Restaurant again. Price/performance, food, staff and ambience are tip top.

Me and my family went here today but one of the workers said smth that made us feel that we aren't wlc there.. he was friendly in the beginning but then... let's say he tried to be friendly but what he said.. made us feel unwelcome.. maybe cus we were wearing hijab? Could be. I don't really wanna say what he told us tbh cus what he said is NOT acceptable. he said "am kidding" then, he didn't seem to be tho.. even if he was kidding, it's still unacceptable to say smth like this.

This is a cozy Syrian restaurant with typical Arabic cuisine. It is lovingly furnished and I felt really comfortable. I recommend the yellow lentil soup with fried bread = these are ultimately small, very tasty crackers. And the lamb skewer was really tasty. Gin and tonic costs 5.50 euros: good price.

I went to the restaurant for lunch and was very impressed. The food was authentic and full of flavor, especially the Antique Platter. The service was friendly and attentive, and the ambience was very inviting.

Unfortunately completely disappointed. The tables and benches outside were completely dirty. Service seemed overwhelmed and bored at the same time. Headphones in your ears all the time. I think it's cheeky for 5 pieces of halloumi (on the menu with salad, on the plate just a few cubes of iceberg lettuce as a side dish) for over €8. But the highlight was the tabbouleh in a mini bowl consisting of parsley and tomatoes, half of the ingredients that were on the menu were not included (couscous, onions,...) for just under €9!!!?. I have no idea how so many reviews here can rate so well, but I was just disappointed that I was served dirty dishes, bad service and bad food for €20. No recommendation from me, there are much better restaurants there.

Unfortunately very disappointing Everything is just a bit sketchy: the dirty straw, the vegan potatoes that taste like fish, the vegan plate that isn't really convincing. Too expensive for the quality. Then the waiter tried to charge for a single dish twice instead of the dish for two people in order to get another 2 euros.

Super tasty restaurant with a large vegan selection and friendly service. It went really quickly and everything was draped very attractively. Cheap drinks with ice cubes, perfect for summer. We will be back. Edit: big problem: no card payment at all and the nearest ATM is at the cross.

I always wanted to stop by this cool spot called Antique Restaurant and, oh boy, was it a treat! First time trying Syrian food and it totally rocked my taste buds. We went all in with the Antique Platter – it's like a greatest hits album of Syrian flavors. Everything was top-notch, but let me tell you about the hummus – it's a game-changer. Seriously, it's so good, it might just be the best thing since sliced bread... or since hummus west of Israel, at least. And the falafel? Crunchy on the outside, fluffy on the inside, and packed with spices that'll make you wanna dance. The owner's super sweet too, making you feel right at home. Can't wait to hit this place up again with my crew. If you haven't been, you're missing out. Big thumbs up for the Antique Restaurant!

Nice little restaurant with very friendly service. The food was okay if a bit unimaginative. The basis is always the same and some of the side dishes seemed like they weren't homemade. Still, all in all pretty good. Unfortunately we had to wait a bit, which was strange given that there were two occupied tables. But our dog got something to drink, very attentive. The price-performance ratio was still good, but it was at the top of the range.

We would like to recommend this friendly, originally furnished restaurant with many delicious Syrian specialties. We chose various mezzes, which were freshly prepared and served by the very friendly and unobtrusive service. Nice to have discovered this place of enjoyment in Leipzig!

Cold and wet April evening outside and I had to keep my coat on. Very cold inside, don't know why. Didn't have to wait long for our dinner and now I know why... pre-cooked, warmed up when you order. It was dry, chewy and very disappointing.

Unfortunately, it was an absolute failure - we admittedly arrived quite late, but we were told that the kitchen was still open: all of our dishes were unseasoned and some of them were inedible (seemed to have been reheated); the bread wasn't fresh, the tabbouleh on the vegetarian platter wasn't a tablespoon in size (also unseasoned), the falafel was hard and dry, as if it had already been fried and reheated, and the portion was puny overall. The only tasty thing was the Ayran. The service was nice — but it took forever and in the end you couldn't pay by card even though it was on the door, so we had a hard time scraping together the cash. Won't be coming back. It's a shame because of the good reviews, but unfortunately none of them could be confirmed.

I came here because of the good reviews. The food was a big disappointment... Not seasoned, too little and inedible. One dish for €17.99. The wine was cheap, adulterated booze, the gin and tonic went back and the bottle of water was opened and served in a carafe... So tap water. All in all very disappointing and very expensive!

Went there for lunch on Saturday due to many positive reviews and were extremely satisfied. The owner is very friendly and passionate about his restaurant, the food tasted great, was authentic and visually appetizing and there was also a soap as a gift at the farewell :) There is currently some renovation going on, you should probably know that in advance, as not all areas are free yet and the toilet can therefore only be used to a limited extent, but in 1-2 months (if everything goes according to plan) it should be fully open . Statement from the owner and then also with a new card. Nevertheless, the already finished areas are beautifully furnished with antiques. We'll definitely come back when everything is finished.

Haben gestern Abend zu viert den Abend hier verbracht und es war sehr angenehm. Der Inhaber war super freundlich😄 ich habe das erste mal Syrisch gegessen und Wein getrunken und es war super lecker. Hier ist man als Gast sehr willkommen 😄 sehr empfehlenswert 🙏

WAHNSINN! 7,90€ für frittierte Kartoffelscheibchen (statt Bratkartoffeln) und angebratenes Krümmelgehaktes in einer Minischüssel! Das ist echt dreist und sehr enttäuschend zumal kaum gewürzt oder nur diese genau zwei Komponenten! Der Hunger hats reingetrieben... Ambiente auf den ersten Blick ganz gut, auf den zweiten... Erspar ich mir im Detail. Übrigens; wenn man reinkommt oder an sich die Fliesen sind wie Schmierseife, also Megarutschgefahr!!! Toilettenbeleuchtung und überhaupt... Schnell rein & raus. Man ist froh, dass man es irgendwie geschafft hat und den Blick nicht zum Raumübergang nach Hinten zur Küche hat schweifen lassen! Ist mir eh schon aufgefallen, dass Hygiene bei, sagen wir mal; neu hergekommenen Glücksrittern, nicht immer, aber oft genug zu Wünschen übrig lässt! Servicekraft (mit Sprachbarriere) sieht total abgerockt aus, übermüdet und in Boston-Winterlock oder Bronx-Klamotten (fehlt nur noch die brennende Tonne, zumal es Frauen wahrscheinlich im Laden nach draußen treibt, weil das Lokal fast ungeheizt ist) kein Wunder, denn er muss ja alles machen. Küche und Service. Kasse ist eh blank. Bezahlen; bar. Paypal soll auch noch gehen. Na egal; wenn man sich überlegt, dass ich den Laden zur besten Mittagszeit ne Chance geben wollte, weil es so leer war und die Asiaten bzw. Vietnamesen ringsherum anscheinend bessere Geschäfte machen, war das die totale Enttäuschung! Hätte sicherlich auch nichts dran geändert, wenn ich was total total 'Traditionelles' bestellt hatte, von wegen Syrian Cousin und so. Normalerweise bin ich auch ein Fan eine zweite, gar dritte Chance zu geben, aber hier sitzt die Enttäuschung tief, vielleicht zu tiiief. Mal schaun...

Der Kellner hat mich konsequent ignoriert obwohl ihn sogar sein Chef darauf aufmerksam gemacht hat, dass ich noch etwas bestellen wollte. Das Essen war okay auch wenn ich es zu teuer fand für die Menge die man bekommt. Würde ich vermutlich nicht nochmal hingehen
