Nice idea, but outrageously expensive and simply not good enough for the price. The animations are okay, but the sound is incredibly quiet. The food is good, but not worth the price you'd pay in a Michelin-starred restaurant. And €15 for a bottle of water or €7 for a small Coke is just outrageous. The service was irritable, and the evening dragged on quite a bit. At least we were lucky with our table neighbors, because they were great. You're also supposed to arrive half an hour early, which meant we ended up sitting around for 45 minutes with our very expensive bottle of water. Overall, a disappointment, even though the idea is nice.

We booked this restaurant as a family with two children. It was a complete disappointment. We didn't enjoy the food, neither for us nor the children's menu. We had a different expectation of a five-course meal. It's not worth the money. I'm writing this at 5:25 a.m. because my son just woke up and was sick. I'm giving it one star because at least there was something different about it, with the show and everything. Otherwise, it wouldn't have deserved even that star.

A wonderful evening! The Steigenberger Hotel provided a fitting setting for this event. The staff was very attentive. The story was wonderfully narrated by the young head chef. The food was excellent and, after the five courses, quite satisfying, even though one might initially think it wouldn't be.

The food was delicious. The entertainment was far too limited. For €532 for four people (two adults and two children), including water and a few soft drinks, it was completely overpriced in my opinion. The only thing preventing me from giving it just one star was the quality of the food. The service was quite poor/inattentive; glasses were sometimes empty. So, my recommendation is to go to the cinema instead. You'll get much more for your money.

The service and ambiance were excellent. The two appetizers were very good, but the quality of the two main courses was somewhat lacking. We were a little disappointed that the Le Petit Chef videos seemed to get shorter and shorter towards the end.

It was a unique experience – entertaining with excellent food and very good, unobtrusive service – the only thing I would perhaps consider nowadays is a purely vegan option, although the vegetarian one was also very good.

I have made a reservation at this restaurant one week before via the phone, because their web site does not allow to book for less than 2 persons. When I showed up they informed that they cannot find me in the reservations list and refused to offer me a seat. I was really disappointed with their bad service!

The food is okay, but not even remotely worth the price. The whole show is rather silly and doesn't create an appealing atmosphere. Service was very good.

The "little chef" was a bit out of focus and that detracted from the show, but the food and service were top-notch!

We really enjoyed the show. It's creative, entertaining, and fun. The menu was also delicious, with both a vegetarian option and a special menu for children. I would definitely recommend it for a special occasion. However, the total price was almost €400, which is comparable to a Michelin-starred restaurant (except the food here doesn't have a Michelin star). It was also somewhat disappointing that they charged an extra €15 for water, despite booking a wine pairing.

The entire event was perfectly organized, from the reception to the farewell. The food was outstanding, the projected films were a never-before-seen experience, and the service was impeccable. For me, it was an unforgettable experience that I have already recommended to many of my friends and acquaintances.

A great experience, but very expensive. The quality was acceptable for adults, but the children didn't eat half of it (the first few things were too unusual or not child-friendly, and later they were full from the pasta in the starter course and the "fries"). We would actually like to repeat it for a special occasion, but the children's menu is simply too expensive for the children to not eat half. I do have to say that they were charged for water. On the one hand, I assume that water is included when a wine pairing is included, but on the other hand, especially when soft drinks for the children are included in the menu price, they don't have to pay extra for the water. So, at this price, water wasn't even included for the children (although it's listed under soft drinks on the menu). As a result, our children drank significantly more sugary drinks than we would normally allow.

A fantastic culinary and visual experience!!! The food selection for adults was excellent, everything beautifully presented and very, very tasty. The dishes – with the exception of pasta and meat – weren't well-suited to children. Unfortunately, there was no complimentary water for the wine pairing option booked, and even for children – despite the soft drink package – water had to be ordered and paid for separately. Overall, though, highly recommended!

The show is very good. It's a unique idea to present the food in this way. The opening introduction/explanatory remarks by a hotel/restaurant employee were somewhat disappointing; they were inaudible (too quiet).

Great idea, well executed with the little chefs from different countries. The preliminary explanations were a bit difficult to follow, as they weren't loud enough. Nevertheless, an absolute recommendation for young and old.

In summer, the terrace is a wonderful little oasis amidst the hustle and bustle of the city. The service is good, and the food and drinks are highly recommended. The interior is a bit dated and uninspiring.

Hello, We ate at Le Petit Chef yesterday at the Steigenberger Hotel. We had booked a wine pairing with our meal in advance. Both were good, and we had a pleasant evening. Of course, I could make a few critical comments, as I have many years of experience in the restaurant industry. But I don't have to, because the overall package was perfect. However, I have to address one point that first caught my attention today: we were charged for water, even though it was supposed to be included in the wine pairing, just like soft drinks and coffee.

The atmosphere of the dinner was very stylish, the entertainment very exciting and entertaining, and the food itself was outstanding—high quality and beautifully presented. All in all, it was an outstanding overall experience.

The experience fully met my expectations. I would particularly like to highlight the quality of the multimedia component, which exceeded my expectations. The food and service were good, as expected. It's an extraordinary and unique experience that you should definitely try at least once—and it's especially good if you're traveling with children.

The experience was very enjoyable, even though there were longer wait times at the beginning due to technical issues. In our opinion, the format also didn't fully realize its potential. A better adaptation of the dishes to the show would have been great. Furthermore, the price-performance ratio isn't entirely justified, in our opinion.

So far, everything was very good, but I have to deduct one star because the drinks at this hotel are absolutely extortionate. We paid €19.00 for a small glass of wine, and a Hugo cost exactly the same. Somehow, the price is completely out of proportion.

Le Petit Chef is a truly unique experience! Incredibly delicious food and watching the little chefs prepare the dishes make the evening truly special. Even though it's quite expensive, we highly recommend everyone visit the little chef at least once!

We received a very warm welcome as soon as we walked in. Even though we didn't order any additional drinks or anything else (because we were very satisfied with the wine pairing, which was a great match for the meal), and we were expecting a miracle from the kitchen at short notice due to an intolerance, the service was more than accommodating and genuinely tried to make our stay as pleasant as possible. The whole experience, with the table as a screen, was very entertaining and well-integrated (the children at the table behind us seemed to be having a lot of fun). The five courses were magnificent, with intense flavors and delicious ingredients, without over-seasoning the food. Dreamy mussels, tender meat, and delicious vegetables. But the dessert exceeded all expectations, and the kitchen surprisingly performed the expected miracle. Instead of simply giving me a different version of the planned dessert because of my rudeness, or leaving me hanging, the kitchen really went above and beyond and actually made me a heavenly crème brûlée, with fresh raspberries and little biscuits that melted in my mouth like cotton candy. I really wasn't expecting that. All in all, a successful evening. It wasn't cheap, of course, but it's not something you do every day. We won't soon forget the evening and will definitely do it again. A tip wasn't expected, but it was all the more welcome. Thanks to the service and the team.

It was a truly magical evening with the little chef and his colleagues from all over the world... My daughter recommended "Le Petit Chef" to me, and I can wholeheartedly recommend it... The courses were all excellently prepared, and the service was very friendly and competent, but that wasn't the focus for us this time. The entire virtual event surrounding the "preparation" of the menu, each course a new story, a new entry in the culinary competition. Each course prepared with a pretty, lively scene on the tablecloth, accompanied by appropriate music... The Spanish chef's waving fields of corn and the Japanese competitor's koi pond are particularly memorable for us, and now, when we stand by a field blown by the wind, our thoughts always return to that evening. We remember them fondly. We celebrated a 70th birthday and our 44th wedding anniversary that evening. We had booked the "little surprise" and were expecting a small decorated muffin. We were surprised when the little surprise turned out to be a rather large, delicious chocolate mousse cake, even labeled to match our occasions... It was truly a very special surprise, and thank you again for that. We left the restaurant that evening feeling exhilarated and happy; you couldn't ask for more from a night out... and, as mentioned, the impressions still stay with us today... Certainly not the cheapest way to spend an evening, but worth every single cent, truly priceless...

An unforgettable experience with great food and performance

It was a birthday present for our daughter. As an 11-year-old, she's a true reflection of how boring or entertaining something can be. She followed everything with great curiosity and enjoyment. As a young vegetarian, she enjoyed eating her first piece of meat in months. Many thanks to the team in front of and behind the scenes.

The show was fantastic, and so was the food at the Steigenberger Düsseldorf. A great event, even if it's a bit more expensive. It's worth it.

Overall, it was a lovely evening and an interesting experience, but I don't think the price is justified at all. If it cost €100 per person, I could recommend it, but not at the current Düsseldorf price.

An original event with a combination of 3D animation and culinary delights - the price level, however, is very ambitious.

The show itself is cute and nice. That is a unique experience that might be worth the price for some. If you count in the food and the quality compared to what you pay then it's not the best alternative. The food was lacking a bit of flavor although well prepared and the portion size very decent. Overall nice but factor in the price and the atmosphere then it's not worth it. When the dinner is over they had one waiter that took payments from all tables, which means that you feel like just sitting and waiting to be allowed to leave.

The first time was a great experience and a culinary delight. The second time was disappointing because the food arrived very late and there was a disturbance in the hall. We also had 2 disruptive factors in the hall: two young ladies sitting directly at the next table who were passed by an education. Cell phone, loud conversations and legs on the table... it's crazy that none of the waiters threw them out. Apparently they didn't have to pay anything for the tickets themselves. Disrespectful.
