Le Petit Chef - Dresden in Dresden

It was a great experience and super cute watching the little chef create his creations!

Food and pictures were fantastic! What we didn't like were the prices for the drinks and the fact that we were seated at the table with strangers.

The event is an absolutely unusual idea. The meal is accompanied by a projector show. In it, the little chef (or several little chefs) prepares the dishes. The stories are cute and the animations run right on the table. So you can literally watch how your own food is being prepared. After each video sequence, the corresponding food is delivered from the kitchen. From a culinary point of view, this is a journey through the whole world. The animated stories are cute (compared to the film Ratatouille) and varied. The dishes were unusual and exquisite. Some dishes were beyond delicious, others passed my taste buds by. Unfortunately, our daughter (8.5 years old) only got her money's worth from the animations. The registration/ordering and check-in process was flawless and good. The menu card was already visible in advance. However, it is not clear whether this corresponds to your own ideas and tastes. The evening took place in an upscale and pleasant atmosphere. Arriving early ensures good seats. When seating, you can sit down next to other people at a table (depending on the space available, the number of people and the situation). Tables each offered 4 or 6 seats. This should be considered in advance when planning/ordering. The implementation was timed tightly, with a break - video - meal in sequence. This happens at the same rate for all tables. Sincere respect for the service staff, who have to accommodate special circumstances (arriving late, unscheduled drink orders, going to the toilet). It's like choreography. From a guest perspective, this limits the experience. Here I would like a little more freedom, flexibility and individual breaks. Children in particular get bored during breaks. Here, individual interactions, more stories, a play area, etc. would keep the joy of the event high and make me relax more as a parent. In terms of pricing, the event is in the higher segment. Drinks are not included. My personal conclusion after the event: The animations were captivating, especially (visually) captivating. In my opinion, the dishes could be simpler but still prepared with passion and love. This way the event could be cheaper, which would make me more excited. It would be perfect if the interim times (between the video sequences) were (or at least could be, if desired) designed to be thrilling.

We were at Leipzig Petit Chef in Dresden on January 11th. Our expectations were high for the price. The service was the best part of the evening, hence one star. Unfortunately, the evening was a total disappointment; the video didn't go with the food at all. We saw a video that showed a completely different meal than what we had on our plate. When we asked at the hotel, we were told that the kitchen wanted to make a higher quality meal than in the film Shown. If I'm going to pay that much money for a meal, I'd like it to really look like the smallest chef in the world is cooking for me. The food was ok, but nothing special Unfortunately there was a vegetarian alternative, with parmesan (it was with animal rennet) which is not vegetarian! The plus point was that I got vegan cheese. I think you should advertise on the internet and communicate openly that the food differs from the film. Then you can decide for yourself whether you want to spend the money on food. Too bad that was nothing!

The only positive aspect of the evening was the animation by the tiny chefs. However, the courses served did not match the entertainment. The food was average at best and not at all commensurate with its high price. The service also left a lot to be desired. The idea itself is promising, but the implementation falls short of expectations. For the price asked you can eat in much better restaurants. Overall a disappointing experience - not recommended!

The show was well done but unfortunately it was the only thing that was convincing. Unfortunately the food was subpar for this price. With this quality, I can't recommend anyone to eat there or spend so much money on it

Unfortunately not convincing at all! In this price segment, the quality of the food, the service and the overall presentation of the Steigenberger Hotel should improve significantly. If you spend just under €300 for an evening, you expect a much better dining experience! Absolutely no value for money!!!

Over-salted food was declared as an essence, overpriced food - price/performance was subpar, the bottle of water for 12€, entertainment was really good - but couldn't save the quality of this menu. We went home disappointed and far from thrilled. We can NOT recommend this “culinary experience”.

The vegetarian and vegan alternatives are unimaginative. Taste and quality are not in proportion to the menu price charged. The show is beautiful to watch and the staff was very accommodating. Conclusion: We would not recommend it.

Unfortunately, the food we got wasn't what was cooked on the show and that's the reason why we booked the whole thing, so it was a rather disappointing result, especially since it was advertised. The food was either very bland or totally over salted. The Japanese flan was runny. I only know it as a cut-proof dessert, on Google I only found it as a cut-proof dessert, I could be wrong, but the staff didn't take this into account and the complaint about the taste was left alone. The show itself was funny but compared to a crime dinner, cabaret dinner, etc. Not a lot of effort - you wait until everyone is finished eating and then you press play again. Otherwise everyone was very nice.

It was a lovely evening! But what little Le Petit cooked was far from reality. The film always showed us a different course... And what came out of the kitchen looked different 😊. But I have to say, it pleased my taste buds...

We were there for the first time today and were more than satisfied. Top food and top service. And thank you again for the birthday surprise 🥰

This experience report is based on my personal impression. We were with our children, which in retrospect seemed a bit too ambitious a plan. The food was generally good, but too exotic for the children, even though there was a special menu created for this purpose. But, as everyone knows, that is a matter of taste. However, what really disappointed us was the service on site. Even though the ladies and gentlemen were very nice, some of them seemed very disorganized. Our children got drinks, we had to ask twice before our wishes were complied with. There was also no asking when drinks were empty, so we had to keep making ourselves known. This in turn wasn't that easy, as up to 3 employees were on site, but they were always on the move somewhere. As already mentioned, the food is a matter of taste. We give it a good rating because some of the food was very good (main course), and some was a bit too abstract for us (first course). One thing we didn't expect was the presentation, which was nice for the children to see. The dishes actually prepared by the little chefs only had a partial connection with the dishes served (example: fried steak with fries and a sauce - 2 slices of meat were served with a kind of potato casserole and bean mousse). It was an experience that my wife had wanted, but one that will remain unique for us. As I said, these are our experiences. In conversations afterwards, we were able to hear a lot of exclusively positive experiences from the other guests.

Unfortunately, the somewhat dusty animations, which do not match the dishes served, leave the gourmet speechless and disappointed. You can experience more quality and class just a few meters further for the same price…

It was a nice experience. Unfortunately I have to say that the food was too cold. And yet finished products were used. The animation is really nicely done. My conclusion: I would have expected better food for the price.

Conclusion: A wonderfully entertaining evening... The computer animation was sensational... The wine selection was great the possible wine accompaniment is really very good!!! But there is still a lot of room for improvement when it comes to eating!!! The ravioli were by far the worst of my life so far... I'm really sorry, but at these prices you'd expect something different. The meat looked very good... but it was really challenging to eat. The overall concept is great... so don't let it fail because of the quality of the food. I suspect that in this price range, spoiled palates expect more.

If you want to experience an extraordinary evening, this is the place for you. It was a very nice experience with very good food. We will definitely do this again when the opportunity arises.

We looked forward to the event with great anticipation and were not disappointed in any way. The food was perfect, the staff was very attentive and the wine pairing we booked was very suitable.

It was nice and the idea itself was great, but there is still a lot of room for improvement when it comes to implementation. +Food was delicious +You get full (which should be the minimum given the price) + It's something different The following points are negative - the films seem a little old, the technology today should be able to do a lot more - Sometimes different dishes were served than those shown in the film (that's exactly the point behind it) -For the price I expected more from the food

Overall, the evening was ok, the food was very good quality, the show was really funny and entertaining. However, on a negative note: 1. The cinematics do not match the menu, ie. Unfortunately, the plates in the animation look completely different than the menu you receive. At the end of the vote, other courses are also mentioned, as you received. 2. Unfortunately, the service was not appropriate for such an atmosphere. We were probably unlucky with the lady assigned to us. The wine we ordered was forgotten and only brought after we asked (which one did they want again…). The request for coffee after the main course “for dessert” was fulfilled 10 minutes after the dessert plates had been cleared away. When we complained, we received no response other than an “oh”… For the price of 119 euros/person plus drinks, I would have expected much more attention from the service. Overall, there's a lot of room for improvement 😢 and my birthday evening, unfortunately, wasn't as great as expected.

First of all: an event that you shouldn't miss. The lovely animation consistently put a smile on every guest's face. So in this respect it was a clear success of the evening. Unfortunately, the culinary accompaniment had light and shadow. The food was lukewarm at best when served. While the first course had too little aroma and taste, the second course had too much. It certainly wouldn't have been too difficult to stick more closely to the animation template when serving (just one example of several: when the little chef lifts three dumplings onto the plate, you could have done the same on the real plate - instead of only two). Course three was the highlight, interesting side dishes and the roast beef was on point (except for the temperature). In my opinion, the Riesling wine accompaniment lacked fruitiness; the last wine was simply forgotten and only added when requested. The dessert to which it belonged was of course already over. All in all, despite the small shoals, an evening to remember fondly.

It was a great experience where everything was right. The menu was delicious and the staff was very friendly. We recommend it!

From my point of view, a unique experience, both from a culinary and entertainment perspective. An absolute must have. And yes, it's certainly not the cheapest option for dinner, but it was worth every euro!

We went to Le Petit Frank, the smallest chef, and it was a unique experience and highly recommended. The show and the food were amazing, super tasty and the best products I have ever eaten. A thousand thanks also to the great team who made this evening special with their friendliness, wit and humor.

Mein Mann, meine Tochter und ich waren im Mai ind Dresden bei Le petit chef und es war einmalig. Das Essen war eins 1a und die Animation mit dem kleinen Kochchef war zu süß. Man ist in eine andere Welt abgetaucht.

Ein überwältigendes Ereignis. Aber ach die Atmosphäre war beeindruckend. Es war ein hinreißendes Erlebnis. Tausend Dank.

Wir hatten einen wundervollen Abend vor Ort. Das Essen hat unsere Erwartungen übertroffen und wurde mit einer tollen Weinbegleitung abgerundet. Wir kommen definitiv wieder.

Wir waren sehr neugierig auf diese neue Idee und haben es nicht bereut. Es war ein unterhaltsamer Abend mit vielen kleinen Überraschungen. Das Team war Spitze und wir haben uns wohlgefühlt. Dankeschön für diese Erfahrung

Es war ein wunderschöner Abend..... Es war einfach alles perfekt

Erlebnisreiches Essen, mit vielen Eindrücken über den gesamten Abend hinweg. Ideal für den perfekten Abend zu zweit. Oder mit Freunden. Der kleinste Koch der Welt Kreiert jeden Gang virtuell im Vorfeld. Die Animation ist farbenfroh und humorvoll dargestellt, dass es absolut fesselt und fasziniert. Das Gesamtambiente ist sehr gehoben, da die Räumlichkeit direkt im Hotel Steigenberger integriert ist. Ein Highlight zwischen den Gängen ist ein kurzer Besuch auf dem Balkon, mit Blick über den Platz der Innenstadt. Der Service ist hervorragend, immer präsent, freundlich bereit, dennoch dezent und nicht aufdringlich. Die Gerichte sind geschmacklich auf hohem Niveau abgeschmeckt und angerichtet. Das gesamte Programm mit den einzelnen Gängen dauert circa 3 Stunden. Es ist nicht zu eng getaktet, sondern ideal aufgebaut. Alles in allem ein Gönner Abend.

Es war ein fantastischer Abend mit dem kleinsten Koch der Welt. Tolle Idee. Das Essen war genial. 5 zauberhafte Gänge an einem Samstag und das anschließende Feuerwerk durch die Pyrogames rundeten den Abend perfekt ab. Dank an alle Beteiligten.

Wir waren am 29.10.2022 als Firma hier und es war einzigartig!!! 5 Sterne reichen nicht aus, für einen grandiosen Abend. Ein kleines Restaurant mit ca. 8 Tischen. Das 2,5 Stunden 5-Gang-Menü wird mit dem kleinen Le petit Chefkoch zu einem unterhaltsamen Abend. Das Restaurant strahlt Ruhe aus und man entschleunigt für kurze Zeit ganz schnell und kann genießen. Wir haben das Menü classic genommen und waren bei jedem Gang aufs Neue begeistert, was die Küche gezaubert hat. Ich habe noch nie so lecker gegessen. Auch Kritiker, die keine Muscheln, Hummer und Meeresfrüchte essen, haben den Teller leer zurückgegeben! Das spricht für die gute Küche. Die Bedienung war sehr aufmerksam und hat alle Fragen beantwortet. Wir haben uns sehr gefreut, dass der Chefkoch zu uns gekommen ist und wir ihm persönlich kennen lernen konnten. Die 3D-Animation war witzig und lustig. Es war eine Erlebnisgastronomie der Extraklasse. Vielen Dank für den schönen Abend. Die Preise sind absolut gerechtfertigt! Ein außergewöhnliches Erlebnis. Kulinarisch, war es ein Gedicht auf einem sehr hohen Niveau mit viel „Liebe und Leidenschaft“! Der Service war einfach nur „erstklassig“. Sehr Aufmerksam und zuvorkommend! Ich kann es nur weiterempfehlen. Ein großes Lob an alle beteiligten der hervorragenden Küche und des Seviceteams. Nicht zu vergessen unser „ kleiner Koch - Le Petit Chef“ der für die Unterhaltung des Abends gesorgt hat. Jederzeit gerne wieder!!!

Herzlichen Dank für den unvergesslichen Abend. Die Speisen waren allesamt ein Hochgenuss. Das Personal war sehr aufmerksam, freundlich und zuvorkommend. Es war ein wunderschöner, entspannter und unterhaltsamer Abend. Das Essen war ein Genuss und mit viel Liebe zubereitet und auch das Personal sehr zuvorkommend. ( vegetarisches Menü) Ein Stern Abzug deshalb weil es ein sehr kostspieliger Abend für zwei Personen war. Getränke fand ich extrem teuer, eine Flasche stilles Wasser 11 € !!!!!!!! :(

Das war ein einzigartiges Erlebnis! Wir haben lange gewartet um nach Dresden zu fahren. Nachdem wir hier online gebucht haben, was ich großartig und sehr unkompliziert finde, konnten wir glücklicherweise zeitnah das 3D-Erlebnis mit sehr leckeren Speisen, freundlichem Personal und einer unglaublichen Umgebung genießen. Vielen Dank und bis zum nächsten Mal!

WOW, was für ein tolles Erlebnis, 3D Vorstellung auf meinem Teller. So etwas muss man erlebt haben. Und das Essen war vorzüglich! Wenn ich wieder in Dresden bin, besuche ich wieder das Le Petit Chef.
