We were driving from Sweden to the Czech Republic and I wanted to have a proper schnitzel in Germany. We found this restaurant on the way, so we stopped here, but at about 1:25 PM, so 35 minutes before closing. The staff had no problem, they just pointed it out to us. I was so hungry that it wouldn't take me half an hour to eat one schnitzel. But appearances can be deceiving. That was probably the biggest and heaviest schnitzel I've ever had on my plate! Absolutely impossible for a normal person to eat all of that. Perfect schnitzel, great buttery potatoes. Lots of cheese and garlic dressing on the schnitzel. Very good and interesting looking croquettes. We all enjoyed it, they had the leftovers packed and they even had dinner out of it 😃 If I ever drive by, I'll definitely stop by. An unforgettable experience!!

Every time we're in Dresden, a visit to Hommel's is a MUST!!! The value for money is unbeatable, the service is beyond perfect (you can tell they have a top team at work here), the food is freshly prepared and super tasty, and the portions are enormous! The house beer is delicious, and all in all, even the longest journey is worth it. IMPORTANT: Make reservations early, because this insider tip is no longer a secret.

If you're looking for honest cuisine and a relaxing break, Hommels Gasthof is the place to be. The only thing that's a concern is the parking situation.

A wonderful place to eat. The portions are exceptionally large, the food is delicious, and the prices are relatively reasonable. The service is very attentive, and our dog was even provided with water.

You can still get really delicious, fresh food here. The portions are huge, and the waitresses always have a funny saying on their lips. I'd love to come back.

We had reserved a nice, shady spot in the beer garden. Known for its schnitzel, we were not disappointed. We tried a variety of schnitzel variations, and everything was truly delicious. Since it was quite filling, we had to have the rest packed up, which is what they expressly requested. Excellent value for money.

We came spontaneously without a reservation and were lucky...very friendly service, it was full and she was responsible for everyone...despite all that, everything went quickly...the food was more than plentiful and tasted great...you should really give everything a 10+...I can only recommend it and we'll be happy to come back :)

Were there for a family celebration and were pleasantly surprised. The inn is very inconspicuous from the outside, the interior is rural, rustic but very cozy. The waitresses were very alert and despite the fact that there were 17 of us, we were never left dry and always had something to drink. The food was very, very tasty but the portions are huge and more for construction workers. 😅 In any case, come by again. 👍 Thanks for the great time
