Leider hatten die Tapas nichts mit Tapas gemeinsam… und leider sehr teuer… Service war super

Super kleines Restaurant mit einer tollen Küche und alles sehr persönlich! Ist nur jedem Tapas-Liebhaber zu empfehlen!

Sehr leckeres Essen aber sonst leider sehr unruhig und ungemütlich. Wir hatten um 18 Uhr einen Tisch reserviert und uns wurde gleich gesagt, dass wir um 20 Uhr gehen mussten. Unsere Bedienung war bemüht aber nicht souverän. Das Restaurant ist sehr klein - als der Koch plus Bedienungen plus andere Gäste im Raum standen, plus andere Mitarbeiter rein und rausgingen, war es sehr wusselig. Als wir um 20 Uhr gehen mussten, ging das sehr schnell, d.h. nichts mit "gemütlich austrinken".

Das LecGolden ist ein kleines, feines Tapas Restaurant in Hamburg. Der Chef und sein Team versorgen die Gäste mit stets friscn zubereiteten und sehr leckeren Tapas. Wir aus Bayern (fast Hessen) haben den Aufenthalt sehe genossen. Das Team ist sehr freundlich und bietet einen hervorragenden Service, auch der Chef kam an den Tisch, ein netter Smalltalk entwickelte sich. Wir kommen sehr gerne wieder, bis dahin klare Empfehlung an alle Lesenden. Reservierung unbedingt erforderlich. Phil und Team, macht weiter so, viele Grüße und bis hoffentlich bald mal wieder!! Was für ein wunderschöner Abend! 🤩 Wir sind durch Zufall auf das Golden Igel gestoßen und werden es definitiv nicht vergessen. Selten hat man das Gefühl, nicht einfach nur „Gäste" zu sein – hier fühlt man sich sofort wie bei Freunden. Phil und sein Team machen das mit einer Herzlichkeit und Leidenschaft, die man heutzutage leider viel zu selten erlebt. 🤗 Die Tapas waren absolut fantastisch – jedes einzelne Gericht ein kleines Geschmackserlebnis! 🥘🇪🇸 Frisch, authentisch und mit so viel Liebe zubereitet. Meine Frau und ich haben uns durch die Karte gegessen und waren von Anfang bis Ende begeistert. Besonders beeindruckt hat uns die persönliche und aufmerksame Art des gesamten Teams. Man merkt, dass hier jeder mit echtem Herzblut dabei ist. Das Restaurant ist klein, gemütlich und hat eine ganz besondere Atmosphäre – genau das, was man sich für einen schönen Abend zu zweit wünscht. 🕯️❤️ Klare Empfehlung für alle, die in Hamburg sind und authentische Tapas in einem wirklich herzlichen Ambiente genießen möchten! We had our company Christmas dinner at Le Golden Igel. All the tapas were delicious, and there was a great selection, especially for vegetarians. We felt completely at ease; the service was attentive and very friendly. A small restaurant with a fantastic atmosphere. We had a great time and will definitely be back!

Such a lovely little tapas bar, just the way you could wish for it! Everything is wonderfully charming, cozy, and relaxed – exactly the kind of place where you immediately feel at home. We fell a little too much in love with the menu and definitely ordered more than we could possibly eat, even though we really tried our best 😅 But even that was handled with a smile and without any fuss: a doggy bag was no problem at all, completely natural, and incredibly kind. The tapas were all absolutely delicious and made with so much love. Many thanks to the whole team. A true little gem in Hamburg, and we're already looking forward to our next visit.

No, the reviews don't lie: After several unsuccessful attempts, I finally managed to reserve a table – and it was absolutely fantastic. The service was attentive and warm, the tapas were all delicious and often quite creative, and the wine was well-chosen. There are very few tables, which makes it cozy, but it does require a reservation well in advance, especially on weekends. With that in mind, I can wholeheartedly recommend The Hedgehog to anyone who enjoys creative, expertly prepared tapas. Thank you for the wonderful evening! 🦔😍

Very pleasant and cosy restaurant. Good food for good prices. Only downside for us was the cheeseplatter which didnt really include any Spanish cheeses. All in all a great place to have dinner.

Wir haben einen tollen Abend im Igel verbracht. Der Service ging trotz Mitarbeiter Krankheit flott, da die Chefin Simone auf Ihre Freundin zählen kann! Das Essen von Phil und seinem Kollegen war sooo lecker. Seid nur etwas vorsichtig beim Bestellen ( man kann immer nachbestellen…) die Mengen sind reichlich!

We discovered this gem by chance, even though we're all from Hamburg. We arrived early and were served fresh, homemade mulled wine at the door. This warm, professional, and delicious service continued throughout the evening. We went home thrilled – fantastic wines, personal attention, and incredibly tasty tapas with European influences. Anyone who has given up on finding excellent service and great food in a charming atmosphere in Hamburg will find it here. We'll be back!

We were here for the very first time today because we were searching on Google for a good tapas restaurant in Hamburg – and we were more than pleasantly surprised! 😍🇪🇸 The restaurant is small and super cozy, it could have been just a tad warmer for us cold-weather wimps 😉❄️ – but the atmosphere was totally relaxed and welcoming. The owner and his wife are incredibly friendly, personable, and attentive. We stayed until closing time and had some really nice conversations. 🤗 The food was absolutely delicious – every single dish was a treat! 🥘❤️ And what impressed us most: The owner immediately noticed that we were bigger than our appetites 🙈. We had ordered way too much, and when she saw that we would never be able to finish it all, she asked us directly if she should just take the rest of the dishes off the table. No discussion, no stress – just kind and thoughtful. We thought that was fantastic! 👍✨ Highly recommended! If you're in Hamburg and want to eat really good tapas, then we can 100% recommend this cute little restaurant. ❤️🥂

A lovely little restaurant. The food was truly fantastic. All of our diverse tapas dishes were excellent – ​​it was impossible to decide which was the best. The friendly chef, Phil, came by each table during a quieter period to check if everything was alright. Overall, a great little place. We'll definitely come back when we're in Hamburg again.

We reserved a table there yesterday. From the outside, it looked small and unassuming, but you could tell it was a lively place inside. The dining room is a bit small, about the size of a living room, but that's precisely what made it so charming. We received a very warm welcome, and the service was top-notch. Very friendly, genuine, and quick. The tapas and the wine recommendation were excellent and made us completely happy. We highly recommend it and would definitely come back when we're in Hamburg again. A shout-out also to our server, who was given a rude reception by the couple next to us because they weren't waiting fast enough (they didn't even wait two minutes), but she remained friendly despite it clearly bothering her. It's not the kind of guests you want to deal with. You definitely gave us a memorable evening. Keep up the good work!

Coming from Berlin, this was our first visit to the Golden Igel. A small, cozy restaurant (about 22 seats) on a small street. The menu was explained to us, and the first round of tapas was served super quickly. Everything was a culinary delight. For the second round, we ordered the delicious dessert. The chef and manager (?) Phil came to each table and asked each guest how they were feeling and how satisfied they were. I found that very personal. The waiters were also so friendly and empathetic. Thank you for the enjoyable evening.

Clearly the best tapas bar in town! The owner and team are incredibly welcoming; you immediately feel like you're with friends. The atmosphere is incredibly cozy. There's even a small outdoor seating area. It's truly beautiful! My absolute highlight was the marinated sardine fillets. A taste experience that catapulted me straight to the Mediterranean. It truly felt like a mini-vacation in the middle of the city. I'll definitely be back!

Found this hidden gem simply by accident, but it was a wonderful surprise. I would recommend making a reservation just to be sure. We were a but early, but later on parties of four without a reservation couldn't be seated anymore as the larger tables were already reserved. The food was wonderful and I was especially impressed by the amount of vegetarian options. About 60% of the menu is at least vegetarian friendly, which is not that common for a tapas restaurant. All the dishes tasted fresh and of good quality, but be careful with the tomatoes. They might attack your shirt. They have menu's available in both English and German and the staff speaks English well. The inside is cosy, but wheelchair users might find it a tight squeeze depending on the size of the wheelchair of course. However, if the weather is nice and you can sit outside, it will be no issue. Good to note that you can also pay by card and cash. Would definitely recommend.

This cute little, almost hidden restaurant is definitely worth a visit. We went for dinner after a musical and loved it. The ambiance is incredibly beautiful. The service was very friendly and accommodating. And the food was incredibly delicious. Due to the size of the restaurant, a reservation is recommended. We were here for the first time today and were absolutely thrilled. The food, the wine, and the staff were all delicious and very friendly. A big compliment to the kitchen! A great restaurant for couples!

We were really looking forward to our visit, but were unfortunately disappointed by the service. Upon arrival, we were immediately ignored – the staff walked past us several times without greeting or speaking to us. Overall, the team seemed very stressed, uncoordinated, and at times even unfriendly. It gave the impression of internal tensions – which unfortunately spilled over into the entire atmosphere. We had to wait an unusually long time for the menu and the opportunity to order. There was unfortunately no brief explanation of the menu – which you have to fill out yourself – which led to unnecessary confusion. Even throughout the evening, empty glasses and used dishes were lying around at many tables – apparently, the shift change hadn't worked. Several guests expressed their displeasure at the lack of service. A tapa was forgotten in both rounds of ordering – a shame. The positive: The food we ultimately received was very tasty and arrived surprisingly quickly. The kitchen does a really good job here – it's just a shame that the service can't keep up. Conclusion: If the service improves, we would be happy to come back – unfortunately, the current visit does not leave a good overall impression.

Dejlig atmosfære, ligger i stille omgivelser. Stedet har ikke plads til mange gæster, hvilket gør det meget intimt. Maden var gedigen og vel tilberedt, personalet var sødt og betjeningen super. Kan klart anbefales.

Wir hatten uns sehr auf den Besuch gefreut, wurden aber leider vom Service enttäuscht. Schon beim Ankommen wurden wir erst einmal ignoriert – das Personal lief mehrfach an uns vorbei, ohne uns zu begrüßen oder anzusprechen. Insgesamt wirkte das Team sehr gestresst, unkoordiniert und zum Teil auch unfreundlich. Es machte den Eindruck, als gäbe es interne Spannungen – das übertrug sich leider auf die gesamte Atmosphäre. Wir mussten ungewöhnlich lange auf die Speisekarte und die Möglichkeit zur Bestellung warten. Eine kurze Erklärung zur Karte – die man selbst ausfüllen muss – gab es leider nicht, was zu unnötiger Verwirrung führte. Auch während des Abends standen an vielen Tischen leere Gläser und benutztes Geschirr herum – offenbar hatte der Schichtwechsel nicht funktioniert. Mehrere Gäste äußerten ihren Unmut über den ausbleibenden Service. In beiden Bestellrunden wurde jeweils ein Tapa vergessen – schade. Das Positive: Das Essen, das wir letztlich bekommen haben, war sehr lecker und kam überraschend schnell an den Tisch. Die Küche leistet hier wirklich gute Arbeit – schade nur, dass der Service nicht mithalten kann. Fazit: Wenn der Service verbessert wird, kommen wir gerne wieder – aktuell hinterlässt der Besuch leider keinen guten Gesamteindruck.

Wir hatten nicht reserviert und hatten Glück, dass wir trotzdem einen Platz bekommen haben. Es war warm und wir freuten uns über den tollen Platz im Schatten. Auch unser Hund war herzlich willkommen. Das Essen war sehr lecker!!! Die Rotweinzwiebeln, die Aioli-Soße, den gebackenen Ziegenkäse, ... alles war sehr gut und das Personal sehr freundlich! Wir können dieses Lokal nur empfehlen.

We went to the Igel yesterday with a reservation at 5:30 p.m. It's a really cute place in the heart of Hamburg. The tapas were consistently fantastic. The staff and the chef were exceptionally hospitable. Le Golden Igel is highly recommended!

We ate there with friends and weren't all that impressed. The food was good, but nothing particularly special; in any case, we'd had all the dishes before. The "beer garden," on the other hand, is a dark backyard; you sit on very simple beer tent furniture, and mice!! run under the tables! It's just uncomfortable. We won't be coming back.

Exzellentes Essen! Wir sind zufällig hereingeschneit bzw. -geregnet, drin war schon alles besetzt. So bekamen wir Platz in dem überdachten Biergarten, in dem der freundliche Wirt allerfeinste Speisen und schönen Wein sowie Rhabarberschorle servierte. Die Hackbällchen und die Gambas wollen wir besonders empfehlen. Wie auch das ganze Restaurant!

Excellent food! We happened to wander in, or rather, rained in, and everything was already booked. So we got a seat in the covered beer garden, where the friendly host served the finest food, fine wine, and rhubarb spritzer. We especially recommend the meatballs and prawns. As well as the entire restaurant!

Last night, four of us went to Le Golden Igel. I'm originally from Hamburg, now live in Munich, and often visit Hamburg. I had already stumbled across the Igel online during a previous visit to Hamburg, but unfortunately, there were no tables available. This time, I was quicker and reserved a table before our visit. This charming little tapas restaurant is so highly praised and well-reviewed for a reason. Every tapas we tried (and there were quite a few!) was truly delicious and—I'd say—prepared with love by Chef Joke and Chef Phil! The atmosphere was great, the entire staff was friendly and funny, and they even offered us a Medronho schnapps—what more could we want?! A truly wonderful evening, thank you so much, we're already looking forward to the next time!
