Le Bistro Mauk in Oberursel (Taunus)

We went to Mauk Bistro both on the ninth of March and the week before. Unfortunately, I can't rate the food because we didn't get to eat the first time because we were pointed out as rudely as possible about the obvious sign (picture attached below 😂) that food is only available from 12 o'clock and had the feeling that there was a desire to discuss behind the counter. I'm waiting for the second meal with a bad feeling in my stomach. The staff working there is second to none. Especially the lady with black hair. I can only agree with other commenters, the lady is now more than just unfriendly. I experienced this once a year ago. Perhaps appropriate training or another profession would be the right solution. Update: food just arrived, nothing to be treated like that for. It's a massive shame because the bistro itself is quite nice.

Small kitchen, big selection. I find it amazing what is made fresh every day in this small kitchen. The employees always try very hard and do their best. I can't confirm the bad reviews from previous speakers. I eat there at least once a week (but not breakfast but lunch and/or cake) and am always satisfied. The prices are very cheap, the atmosphere is nice (except for the screaming children from the ball pit...) and the food is delicious. The employees also eat there regularly, which shows that the kitchen is good and clean. I will continue to eat there regularly, the price/performance ratio is right.

Food and ambience very good and nice. However, the operator with the black curly hair is super unfriendly and not at all suitable for this job! Is always annoyed every day!! Everyone else is friendly.

I was very disappointed with Le bistro Mauk Oberursel. We were there on July 13, 23 around 10:45 a.m. When my wife and I wanted the big breakfast, the staff didn't explain to us what was available. She barely spoke other than what it cost. Instead, the two ladies talked about how one was on vacation next week and the other the week after that. Then the blonde-haired older waitress simply went into the kitchen after paying. I asked the black-haired colleague what the side dishes were of choice and what was available. She told me that there were 4 side dishes of my choice and that I should kindly look at the menu. Then the blonde-haired lady came and told us that we had to tell her what we wanted. I asked again what side dishes they were. The menu didn't say what was available to choose from. Finally, it was advertised with 4 side dishes of your choice. I was then told what was going on with a roll of my eyes at my colleague. From that moment on I actually wanted to leave again, sorry but this staff is not able to understand this job. They can't deal with people. I felt so uncomfortable that such frustrated staff prepared my food. Then the blonde-haired service person asked me why I didn't pick up my osaft. I replied that I couldn't just grab a glass from the counter and that she would have to tell me. I will not recommend this bistro to anyone as long as such staff work at mauk. It can't be difficult to explain to the guests what's on offer alongside the sandwiches, otherwise I can do it myself. Even when we put the trays back, we were stared at angrily. No farewell, no hospitality. I would not recommend Le Bistro to anyone in my area.

It was good.. Unfortunately there was only one roll for a large breakfast and apparently there was no choice as to which type. The service with the curls was very unfriendly/impudent. I wouldn't recommend...

The selection is manageable, but okay. We had a baguette and a piece of cake. It's a shame that the baguettes aren't freshly topped. The balcony is nice to sit outside, but there is little space.
