L'ava Restaurant & More in Hanau

Absolute recommendation! There were five of us there and every single one of us was more than satisfied with the food. The service is also top. The restaurant was very busy even on a Monday. It gets one star less for the ambience because it is relatively loud.

L'ava is a very nice restaurant with stylish decor. The food is very good, but also very expensive. The waitresses are very friendly and attentive and I have never experienced such fast food anywhere. It took less than 10 minutes from ordering to bringing the food - and that with very different dishes. There are a lot of tables in the restaurant and they are usually very well occupied. That's why it's very loud in the restaurant.

There is little to complain about, everything would be complaining at a high level.

The entire team is attentive and friendly without seeming intrusive. I would particularly like to highlight Celine, who rounded off the day perfectly with her professional and charming manner. She served me with great warmth and always had a smile on her face. The food is simply fantastic. Each dish is not only a visual highlight, but also impresses in terms of taste. The fresh ingredients and creative preparation make every dish a special experience. Be it a starter, main course or dessert – every gourmet will get their money’s worth here. Overall, the L'ava Restaurant not only offers a great location and excellent service, but also culinary delights. Definitely worth a visit!

Nice atmosphere and very tasty food. Good service and the food is always prepared quickly, even when the entire restaurant is full. We like to eat here. The price is a bit more expensive/upscale but you always get delicious food and the best service. Skewers/steaks/burgers/pinsa/noodles I've already tried everything and found everything to be super tasty!

A very modern & stylish atmosphere. The service is trained, friendly & courteous. Whether the "Surf and Turf", the chicken skewer or the beef fillet skewer - everything was delicious. Price and performance excellent! There are parking spaces in the inner courtyard or in the nearby parking garage (2 hours free). We'll be back!

My favorite restaurant. Very professional service as well as great steaks. I tried the Vitello Tonnato there for the first time and was simply thrilled, and I've loved it ever since. And the prices are also very fair, if you love food you simply get the best of the best here.

Very nice and well decorated restaurant in Hanau. The food was amazing (grill teller für 2) and the service was fast and sympathetic. I was just a little disappointed with the drink (they sell as a 400ml glass of lemonade but it came with half glass full of ice and costed me 6,8€ 😥)

If I have to criticize constructively, especially the Menu... I went twice and the menu card is like a passive imbi rather than a Steakhaus. I didn't like the steaks. I tried it in Adana and it smelled like lamb meat... Even though cologne mendi is a must at steak haus, you have to go to the sink to wash your hands and there is no soap in the sink and no napkins to dry your hands. Out of respect for the effort, I crown the service with 4 stars and the atmosphere with 4 stars.

The ambience, professionalism of the service, quality and presentation of the food is terrific. However, I have 2 points of criticism, which is why I am deducting a star (expectations are high and complaining is at a high level): - I think the prices for the food are somehow justified when you see the quality that goes into it. But the drinks are way too expensive. 6.80 euros for an alcohol-free wheat? In addition, it wasn't really cold and served without a foamy head. - Second point also based on price: dessert and coffee. Just as much too expensive. For just under 9 euros you really get a measly piece of cheesecake and just under 5 euros a noticeably small cup of cappuccino. I really thought everything was really great and we'll be back, but it would be really great if you at least adjusted the portions of the dessert or the prices.

The restaurant has a great environment. It is very comfortable to sit, eat and chat. The decoration and layout are very attentive, and the meal has a full sense of ritual! Every dish is delicious and exquisite, and the service is also very attentive!

It was put on the grill again but the reaction of the staff was unfortunately not satisfactory. Nevertheless, we would like to come back

I ordered a plate of lamb chops with my husband last week. The meat wasn't grilled as well as usual (it actually looked like it had been cooked) and had no flavor. I only ate one piece and then sent the plate back. The waiter was nice and replaced my plate with a chicken skewer. When I finally had to pay, I noticed on the receipt that I was charged for the lamb dish and not the chicken dish (which is almost €10 more). I ask the waiter to explain and he tells me that the chef tried the dish and, in his opinion, the meat was excellent and that I had already eaten some of the salad and rice on the plate. He adds that I have to pay the full price because he has to throw the meat away. I was horrified. How can a restaurant of this size treat its customers like this? I've been there many times, but now I'll never go again!

A really great location! The menu is very balanced and the quality of the food is really excellent! The service is also impeccable. The entire staff goes to great lengths to make your time there as pleasant as possible. Perhaps it should be mentioned that a visit there is not for those on a tight budget. However, the fact that the quality level here is high means that I think it is entirely justified

Update: The service, the cuisine and the portions have gotten so much worse, the lamb that was almost perfect before is now inedible but for the cuisine it is excellent 🤦‍♂️ and therefore they make you pay full price even if you only ate one piece. You want to be an elegant restaurant with well-dressed waiters and luxury prices but you are worse off than a trattoria. Go back to school and then you can do classy catering, you're sorry and it's the last time I'll give you my money. I've given you too many opportunities. Old review: Fantastic meat and also everything else between starters, first courses and dessert. Only one dish didn't go well, it was very salty and only tasted like wine. I complained and expected a discount or at most an espresso offered and instead they didn't. Apart from this everything is ok.

Food was incredible !!! Service was at the same expectations. We had somebody with us that knew German, so we were fine, but then we were served by an Italian guy so it was perfect, we could understand each other better. The menu is in German and Italian language, easy to read. Place is very clean and well arranged Prices, are a bit spicy but comparing the food, is worth it.

No questions about the food, thanks to the chefs, it was delicious, but lots of questions about the service. The waiters rarely come by, gave a clear order, three items were left out even though they asked for everything. Asked for a blanket three times, it was only brought the fourth time, which took about 30-40 minutes. Service 1 point.

I would love to know how the restaurant makes the bread! I mostly eat pasta, but I can also highly recommend the steaks! The Pinsa has a very fluffy/crunchy dough, it is more for those who are very hungry as it is very large :) My friend really enjoys eating the burgers there. There is something for everybody! In most cases the price-performance ratio is right! You pay for the ambience, food and good service! That should be clear to everyone. Unfortunately, for some dishes or starters the prices are not justified at all due to their size, for example the shrimp pan. Very tasty but way too expensive for the quantity! Price-performance is simply not given here. It tastes good but is absolutely not worth the price. Ambience is busy and loud but nicely decorated.

On June 30, 2024 at 3:30 p.m It was me and a friend of mine eating something. We ordered something, a grill plate for 2 people that cost 60 euros, when the food arrived after 5-10 minutes, how can that be in such a restaurant, the food comes so quickly, after all it was a grill plate that they had already prepared before we came? Then I saw that the salad was very rotten, it looked like the salad had been in the kitchen for two days. The meat 🍖 was also very hard. We didn't get any bread until we asked. After all, with a grill plate it is normal that bread is served with it. The amount for the meal and a bottle of water was 75€, in my opinion far too much for the food we were served. Service was very friendly and asked several times if everything was OK.

We were there several times. Personally, I have only ever eaten steaks and can highly recommend the steaks. My wife and children also tried other dishes. Lavaburger is also supposed to be super tasty. You definitely have to try Lava Cake. It tastes excellent. Great atmosphere, friendly service

Hello, first of all please don't take it as a criticism, but rather as an improvement. Yesterday we ate in the restaurant for the third time. We ordered a Tomahawks steak about 1300kg medium, me and my wife. The shop was well attended. We waited quite a long time to place our first order. The waiters were all a bit stressed, but still tried hard, but a bit stressed. After a certain time the food came to the table and was placed neatly. After asking whether we also get a plate to eat and knife steaks (I'll give you the answer right away, about 1.5 minutes can be a long time when the meat is on the table. The steak was sliced ​​carelessly and sometimes you thought we had a roast in front of us. We ordered the medium. Unfortunately, a third of it was completely finished. Since we are nice people, we don't want to let it go back in such a stressful situation. We were missing the flame when we saw the flesh. We had the impression that this had been made into a grill pan. Maybe we're wrong but that's how it seemed to us. Because we also have experience in gastronomy. Did we feel that way? For such quality of meat and price performance. In the end we paid over €200. You can also demand quality in every form and a little better service. Unfortunately disappointed😏 The table next to us was cleared. The waiter came with an unsightly cleaning rag to clean the table. He more or less spread the leftovers across the table. For me as a customer, this is not table cleanliness. I don't want to have a blue light over it. In the same move, he cleaned the floor downstairs with the same rag and put the rag on top of the shelf. At some point a waiter picked it up and then ran away with the rag. I'm not sure if it wasn't used again for the surface of my other table. I don't expect that in a top restaurant like this, that's not table cleaning for me (sad, but true) sorry. By the way, the rag was lying almost next to us. Not a nice view when I have such top quality food. We understand such a situation, but we believe that management and all staff need to be more attentive to such details Note again. We don't want a red carpet or golden cutlery. We're not critics either, we're very attentive and something like that shouldn't happen in such a TOP restaurant. Our criticism of them is an improvement. I've had a few steaks before, but this was one of the best. The whole meal was delicious, the service was friendly and accommodating. We definitely weren't there for the last time. Clear recommendation!

The food is great, from starter to dessert. There is also something for vegetarians, salad is also available. I can recommend the L'ava burger and pasta, but the Caesar salad and the desserts were also very tasty 😋 There are a lot of desserts and I have tried almost all of them and all of them are recommended. However, there were only two different types of ice cream or ice cream balls, perhaps. You can add classic varieties such as chocolate to the menu. This would be particularly good for children or if you just want a small dessert. Pinsa is good too. The restaurant is highly recommended. However, you usually need a reservation. For children or seniors, smaller portions and correspondingly different prices could be offered (reduced prices even compared to normal portions). The staff was very friendly and the food came very quickly. At the beginning it was too warm for us, but later it was better after the temperature/heat source was adjusted. I'm glad to have discovered this great restaurant, we had a very good meal for the second time. Long opening hours are also good :-) Definitely worth a visit :-) Afterwards you would also need a good exercise program or an adapted diet because of very good food :-D

By instructing a lawyer to have all negative reviews deleted. The question arises as to whether the positive reviews might not have been bought?! We will never be guests at L'ava again. *** More appearance than reality! We were very disappointed with the quality of the food. The dishes were on the table after about 5 minutes, which made us a bit suspicious... The truffle pasta for €22 was cooked so carelessly. Not al dente, a super heavy cream sauce without truffle butter or similar, truffles grated over it, a slice of Parmesan next to it, done. The Beyti was quite tasty so far, but here too there was no attention to detail, that certain something that made the price a proud €27.50 plus €6.00! for truffle parmesan fries (they were absolutely not worth the money either). At such prices the quality should be good, which unfortunately wasn't the case at L'ava. The ambience of the restaurant is really nice and the service is friendly, but there is a lot of room for improvement in the kitchen.
