L'Antica Pizzeria da Michele Hamburg in Hamburg

Tables are way too small! 2 pizzas just fit on the table. The plates are also far too small for the pizzas and lobes extend over the edge of the plate. Pizzas are really huge! And extremely thin. It is very difficult to cut the pizza with the cutlery, especially the knives. I had to eat my pizza with my fingers. It seemed a bit stupid to me but there was just no other way ;). In addition, the pizzas get cold extremely quickly due to their thickness and size. I ordered a salami pizza. You won't find slices of salami! Instead, only salami strips can be found on the pizza in small quantities! Simply too little for the price! I also thought that the pizza tasted very salty. Drinks were standard, the homemade soda tasted ok but was way too expensive. The staff was very nice. But what didn't work was going to the toilet! It smelled extremely like rotten water! I don't know if that's still the case, but when I was there, my food almost came back to me as I was just going down the stairs.

This is one of my favorite places to eat in Hamburg. The pizzas are delicious! I also had the pistachio tiramisú, and it was unbelievably good. I have to highlight the good service, it was just like every time I have been there.

The pizza tastes excellent. It's not exactly a classic Neapolitan pizza with the high crust. It is rather flat and that makes it unique. With Spaccaforno and SPEZZAGRANO it is the top three pizzerias in Hamburg, especially the great location in Ottensen and the beautiful ambience. Sayings for a nice evening. I only recommend this store. It's great for dates or meeting friends.

If you are in Hamburg and looking for authentic, quality pizza, this pizzeria is an excellent choice. The pizzas are really good and very large, with high quality ingredients, probably imported directly from Italy. Personally, I judge pizzerias on the basis of pizza with sausage and broccoli, a typical Italian specialty little known abroad, and here it passed the test with flying colours. The dough is light and pleasant, making the experience even more satisfying. I can say with certainty that this pizza could be served in Italy and would receive excellent reviews there too. The atmosphere of the place is not the typical traditional Italian one, but follows a more modern design, with a cocktail bar and a large open space. Despite this, the environment is welcoming and pleasant. In summary, I was fully satisfied and would definitely stay here again. Recommended both for lovers of Italian cuisine and for those looking for quality pizza in Germany.

Generous portions that you can have packed and friendly service.

I've been going to this pizzeria very regularly (and mostly with my partner) for over a year now. The first visit for a team meeting with my employee was extremely bad in terms of service (unfriendly, stroppy), which didn't stop me from continuing to eat there. The pizzas are really good in terms of dough and sauce and are larger than the plate. Well, except that the Bufalina could use a fresh hand of basil instead of a (!) burnt (!) basil leaf. The staff always seems rather awkward, one spoke almost no German for ages, the other thinks he's the hottest and puts on some other kind of show at the bar... well. Something always goes wrong. Most of the time they are overstaffed and still don't get anything done, even if the store is empty. Sometimes the food came before the drinks, or the beer didn't have a head. Today 3 tables came after us, but they all received their pizza before us. Since the pizza has become boring after so many visits and the service is tiring, we rarely come anyway. But this visit will be the last. So far we have always tipped well, but today for the first time not because we were really very dissatisfied. At €37 the waitress couldn't give out a €50. She gave us a 10 and said she had to go change some change. When they returned she gave my partner a hand full of 1,2, 5, 10 & 20ct coins without comment (!). This is no joke! She then wished us a nice day. We were speechless. So that's how you treat regular guests. Up until that day we hadn't let our dissatisfaction show in the slightest and had behaved really nicely and politely. My partner comes from the catering industry himself and we are definitely not “caustic cliche guests” and misbehave, on the contrary. We definitely won't be coming back.

Our New Year’s Eve at “Da Michele” was a completely successful evening! We felt welcome from the warm welcome and were shown to a cozy, romantic table that provided the perfect atmosphere for a special evening. The entire staff was exceptionally friendly and despite the high number of people - it was New Year's Eve after all - everything ran smoothly and professionally. What was particularly impressive was that you could eat in peace and then have a drink afterwards, even though the restaurant was full. The food was a highlight: finally a really good, original Italian pizza that stands out from the Neapolitan versions that are currently popular everywhere. The ingredients were fresh, the taste was authentic – simply outstanding! Overall, “Da Michele” not only impresses with great food, but also with service that is rarely so professional and warm in this mid-price segment. Rating: 4.8 out of 5 points. We'll definitely be back!

Extraordinary, large pizza made from wafer-thin pizza dough. Delicious bruschetta variation.

One of the best pizza places in Altona. We ordered pizza salami and pizza parma rucola and both were very very delicious. Keep in mind that portion of the pizzas are quite big but so delicious that you have to finish it! And tiramisu is the best!!

Great food and service, we were there on Saturday evening, was a bit noisy and crowded.

It’s a franchise of the original Michele in Naples. The margarita style remains similar to the original. However, they offer a wider variety of options, which is the opposite of what the Margarita poem suggests. Nevertheless, you should definitely try the margarita. I’m not familiar with the other items on the menu.

The pizzas were very tasty. However, it is questionable why only two NeoTaste vouchers can be used for six people. Ultimately the tables were “separated” which, as announced, resulted in a delay in delivery (although about 15 minutes) despite direct ordering. It is also questionable why you notice that the tuna pizza is out 10 minutes after ordering.

From the reception to my departure everything went well! The service is lightly pressed and the person who placed me and assigned the service was very professional! Meals on schedule, wines on time and attentive service. It's good to see people who love the job. I will come back with great pleasure.

The pizzas were delicious, but we didn't know that “salsiccia” is a pork sausage. As a guest, you cannot expect to know every Italian specialty such as cheese or sausage just because you go to an Italian restaurant. Unfortunately, that's why we paid for a pizza that we couldn't eat. My advice: clarify the ingredients with the staff before ordering to avoid misunderstandings.

The food was great, we especially liked the truffle pasta. The service was also very courteous and quick.

The pizza is pure enjoyment with every bite. The store is stylish and modern. That day the service staff mixed up a few orders, which can happen and it was dealt with immediately and in a friendly manner. When the store is full it has a high noise backdrop otherwise beautiful.

We went to eat at Da Michele with our manager today and it was super super super delicious. Staff both women and men, very attentive and friendly. The boss was also there personally. The Mauritius also introduced himself and was very nice and accommodating. You simply feel at home in the restaurant, which has a timeless flair and the menu left none of our personal wishes unfulfilled. Many thanks again to the entire team at Da Michele for the pleasant and relaxing evening. Also thanks again to our manager for the invitation and crystal clear recommendation. Cool restaurant, very tasty food from pizza to pasta and the drinks are super refreshing and a very large selection. As of today I am definitely a new regular customer 🫶

This pizzeria is quickly becoming my favorite go-to for authentic Italian pizza. The menu is small, but the pizzas are excellent, and there's changing specials to choose as well. They are also huge! Additionally, there's a full bar and wide selection of drinks. Very recommended!

If I were the Pizzeria Da Michele in Naples, I would have closed this place immediately. The quality doesn't even come close to the top 10% of pizzerias. The dough is disappointing, the ingredients seem bland, and the end result is far from what you would expect from a real Italian pizzeria. A pure disappointment – ​​both for the palate and for the image of pizza art. It's a shame for the chance to make something great out of it.

We were there as a group on a Saturday evening - it was really full and yet the staff were extremely attentive, funny and just in a good mood. In addition, the food was super tasty, apart from a somewhat loud atmosphere, everything was to our complete satisfaction :)

Finally the best pizza in Naples has found its way to Hamburg! No dinghy edge and it's bigger than the plate and tastes like a vacation in Napoli. I love it.

One of the best pizzas I've eaten in recent years!

The food was very good, I had the bruschetta as a starter and a fresh pasta with a truffle sauce as my main course. Both came at the same time which is a bit unusual but it was still very tasty. The service was significantly understaffed for the number of guests, which was unfortunately noticeable. I personally didn't like the neo-modern ambience and the toilets need to be cleaned and checked much more often. I really liked the open kitchen.

Great evening with friends! We wanted to try again the real flavor of the Italian Pizza in Hamburg, and we were in the right place. Super tasty and the service was also great! Gennaro made us feel like in an authentic italian light-hearted summer evening. Can't wait to come back again!

Great pizza and everyone was happy with the food. Drinks were brought incorrectly and ignored after repeated requests. The ambience is nice but unfortunately also very loud.

Good ambience; large, well-topped, sumptuous pizzas. The house sodas were very sour. Some of the service staff didn't speak German, but were still nice. There is a changing table, but it was still very dirty. Our advice was accepted apologetically, but the service person came back after about a minute, presumably without having changed anything about the situation. We had two pizzas - Pizza Parma ~ 20 euros - Pizza tuna ~ 20 euros - two house limousines Together that would have been around 50 euros. We had the gourmet block and paid €30. Unfortunately, the pizzas were not very crispy and very soft in the middle. It is and remains everything a matter of taste 🙂

So unfortunately, I can't understand these reviews. The pizza was a disaster. Not baked properly at all.

The worst pizza of my life, poor service, the pizza arrived first if we want to call it that and after 30 minutes the Coca-Coles, we didn't eat the pizza, it was inedible, we paid and went to another pizzeria, it's a shame to ruin the Michele's name like this......

Unfortunately the pizza had nothing to do with a Neapolitan pizza. Too much dough, then the dough was too firm and the edge was also not edible.

A very nice place, we had a lovely table. Ordered a pizza Quattro Formaggi and Margherita. The Quattro Formaggi was missing a lot of gorgonzola on it. Unfortunately not the best cheese pizza I ate. But the Margherita was very good, I regret not ordering that pizza.

We ate here yesterday. It was incredibly good, the food was delicious! The atmosphere is pleasant and the service is super friendly. We'd love to come back!

Large restaurant, no “cozy corners” BUT really great, delicious pizza, thickly topped with fresh ingredients and huge...and very nice and attentive service. Price/performance ratio appropriate. Happy again at any time 😃 a schnapps on the house at the end would have been nice 😉

Delicious pizza, but with an extremely large crust that hung over the edge of the plate - unnecessary and unhygienic. The service was very friendly and helpful, but the tiramisu didn't come with Nutella as advertised. The truffle pizza was great - with the additional truffles we ordered!

The chefs once again meant too well! Unfortunately, after we ate the sumptuous starters, there was hardly any room left for the main course. Nevertheless, we ended up ordering the pistachio tiramisu. Truly a dream dessert. The waiters were young and cool. The only thing to criticize would be the somewhat tough base of the pizza this time - but only a small thing.

Unfortunately the service was disappointing. If you want to eat together, you should choose another restaurant. We were there as a group of four for lunch. We ordered 2 pizzas, 1 salad and 1 pasta dish. After the pizzas were brought, we waited 14 minutes for the remaining main courses. So while two of us ate our pizza, the rest waited. There was no apology from the waiter, so we can assume that this is normal in this restaurant.

We celebrated our wedding at da Michele, after the wedding at the registry office. It was incredibly good and exactly as we imagined. Good and more than enough food, drinks and super fast contact. Every wish was taken care of and the service on site was also super friendly, competent and fast! Special requests such as gluten-free meals were also addressed without any problems. The service was really attentive. Always asked during the stay, table wiped after eating (10/10). Plus the incredibly good, delicious pizzas, super thin, crispy, fluffy dough. The pizzas come with garlic and chili oil. The chili oil is a clear recommendation! Very well coordinated house limos are offered, you won't be disappointed here! Nice, large shop with an inexpensive lunch menu, which is also available as a combination with dessert and espresso. We liked it a lot.

Pizza hangs over the edge of the plate and is partly on the table. It's unhygienic and the waitress had her thumb between the plate and the pizza, otherwise she wouldn't have been able to serve. The pizza base was very thin and the cheese topping was very thick.

I was in Naples a week ago and ate the original at Da Michele. The hamburger pizza is very good, but still different than in Naples. But no matter, I would come back again and again and recommend this pizzeria. The cappucchino is just as good as in Italy.

Champagne reception on Valentine's Day including beautiful decorations throughout the restaurant. Pizza and drinks are top notch as always. Double mozzarella always works, ravioli with chanterelles in saffron sauce is also worth the price. Pistachio tiramisu also possible with the first Neotaste - what more could you want?

Great shop and very tasty and large pizza. The only thing I have to complain about is the drinks on tap and the glasses that don't reach the calibration mark. Very nice Italian restaurant with a small but fine selection of pizza and pasta. Unfortunately the plates are too small for the pizzas 😉, as you can see in the picture. The tuna pizza and the salchicha pizza are highly recommended.

I went there on Pentecost Sunday with a few friends to celebrate my birthday and was expecting a lot based on the good reviews. Unfortunately we were very disappointed. It took a long time for someone to come forward to take us to the table. It also took a long time for the menus to arrive and it took a long time for someone to come to take the order. The service seemed very overwhelmed, even though it wasn't completely full and there were a lot of waiters there. The pizzas were okay, a bit flabby in the middle and quite expensive. Unfortunately the truffle cream pasta was too salty. Fresh truffles were out. A drink was forgotten but still charged. It is very loud in the restaurant. It would also have been nice to announce that it was your birthday, to place some decorations on the table, to say congratulations or to make a little effort. Very unfortunate. It is also not appropriate to ask if you would like to tip when paying.

Food is good. But the service leaves a lot to be desired. The Italian lady was just making small talk with the other employees and kept us waiting for 15 minutes even though our drinks had been waiting for a long time at the bar. Fantastic experience, amazing pizza, exactly like in Italy!

The most modest pizza ever. It had a bit of tomato and no cheese, cause I ordered buffala so it had just half of mozzarela on it (and not buffala). Pizza is a piece of oversized dough and nothing on it. Also the drinks, the lemonade supposed to be 0.4 l and in reallity was 0.2. Total disaster. Excepte for the service.

The dough was a bit thin, but that wasn't a bad thing. The pizza was really huge (for the normal price) and delicious. The toilets were clean and tidy.

The pizza dough is very good and it goes overboard the plate!! The ingredients sometimes could be better, sometimes the mozzarella is not melted enough. The amount of wine per glass needs definetly improvement as it is very small quantity.

Pizza dough had little to do with a Napoleonic pizza. Service at the beginning was very friendly and accommodating. When we were seated at our desired table, a girl served us. Unfortunately that was nothing, we just didn't feel good with her and the interaction was very condescending.

With temperatures of 27 degrees outside, it is very warm in the back area. Even if the windows are open there. It's better to reserve a seat, in the window area at the front or outside.

We waited forever for our food even though there was hardly anything going on. When the order came it was wrong, my attempt to address this ended in being shouted at by a very unfriendly waiter. Even if the other employees tried to calm the situation, it was an unpleasant experience. Anyone who works in the catering industry cannot allow themselves to behave like this. The pizza has also gone downhill. Overall very disappointing.

Total disaster. Writing this review while I'm still waiting. Ordered a pizza and a beer almost one hour ago, beer was delivered immediately, still waiting for food. The place is 70% empty. On other tables, some guests got some food and their friends are still waiting for theirs since even longer then me. Nobody apologizing for the huge wait, that's the worse part. (Edit: once I finally got the pizza, that was decent)
