The burger was great, the bacon was nice and crispy, the fries were cooked to perfection, and the homemade lemonade was very refreshing!

Good food, a wide selection of drinks, and comfortable seating. It's a lovely pub in the heart of Hamburg-Langenbek, a great meeting place, and this place has a very interesting and curious history, which is reflected in the restaurant's name. Now also with outdoor seating.

Such delicious burgers at fair prices, a really great place. We were passing through... really great place and very dog-friendly. We brought our German Shepherd with us and she was lovingly looked after... always happy to come back when we pass through Hamburg.

First, a big compliment to the service: A young, dynamic team that is truly passionate about what they do. As a guest, you are treated with incredible respect, always friendly, attentive, and warm. Many large restaurants could definitely learn a thing or two from their experience. Thank you for such a great service! About the food: Whether it was a hearty pan-fried dish with meat or a special burger, such as pulled pork and cheese, everything was delicious, juicy, and really fresh! The dips are amazing, especially the chili dip with the sweet potato fries. Every dish is lovingly prepared and beautifully presented; everything just fits together perfectly. Conclusion: 5 stars without hesitation! A place where you not only enjoy eating, but also feel completely at home. The ambiance invites you to linger, you can feel the attention to detail, and I'm already looking forward to my next visit. A real insider tip that we are happy to recommend!

The burgers are a nice size and offer good value for money. I highly recommend the Philly Steak Burger; it's a real treat! I highly recommend this place.

Unfortunately I was completely disappointed today. Burger buns are way too tight and the meat is way too dry. I don't think €5.40 is justified for a 0.5 Carlsberg beer either. I sat at a table directly behind the counter with an open view, which wasn't really pleasant either. Right next to it there is a shelf with decorations that are for sale. The shelf was completely dusty and not very attractive. Service staff is very open-minded and takes care of the guest.

The service was nice but I had to wait over 30 minutes for a cocktail (the pub was almost empty) and then I was told they couldn't make the drink!!

A good place to eat burgers. The service is quick and friendly, the restaurant has pleasant seating and makes a clean impression. The portions are more than sufficient and the burger creations leave nothing to be desired. The prices are reasonable for the meat dishes; the meat seems to be of good quality. Nevertheless, I would budget at least €20-30 per person for citizens and a drink.

Unfortunately, the burgers were really bad. I don't know how this place manages to improve so much. The crispy chicken burger was a dry piece of chicken in a completely soggy breading. The pulled beef burger had melted cheese all over it, and the rather tough meat was barely chewable thanks to the heavy bun. That's pretty cheeky considering the price. The cheese spaetzle were practically swimming in grease, and with a 2:1 cheese-to-spaetzle ratio, they weren't really very edible, although overall, they were still the tastiest thing we've had there. So, definitely not a recommendation; you can get much better burgers elsewhere.

Although we didn't make a reservation beforehand, as was actually recommended, we still spontaneously got a free table for the four of us. The atmosphere is cozy and you can have a good conversation even when it's full without having to scream. We were there on Friday between 7 p.m. and 8 p.m. And we would love to come back. 😀

Found it spontaneously while passing through and actually only stopped because of the name. But what a find! Nice service, cozy atmosphere and great food! Both the crispy chicken burger and the baked potato with the chicken fillet were perfectly done and super tasty! If we end up in the area again, we'll definitely take another look. The pub is located in an inconspicuous apartment building directly on Winsener Straße. Found on the Internet. A table for six people was reserved in the beer garden. The busy road didn't bother us. Super nice service. Because of the heavy rain we went into the pub. Simply furnished, yet very comfortable. Pleasant, relaxed atmosphere. Everyone eats burgers, even though there are other dishes on the menu. The six of us also ordered burgers (200 gr beef patty), some with sweet potato fries. Delicious!! The enthusiasm was really great. The fries are slightly crispy, as they should be. Great. In the future, when your stomach calls for a burger, you'll head to the Horse in Pub. That's for sure 👍

The food was great, it has always been worth it. The sweet potato fries are especially delicious. The meat is good quality. I'm already looking forward to next time Unfortunately, not all places are that good. For example, in a narrow aisle where you regularly have to get up or move closer to the table when the service staff or other guests have to pass. I've known this problem for a long time, so here's a tip: For a cozy evening, define your desired seat when making your reservation. Then everything works out and you can enjoy a great evening.

Super Service. GREAT food one of the best citizens money can buy. The onion rings are homemade and highly recommended. And the beer is freshly tapped! Dukstein Hefeweizen freshly tapped is really delicious. And best of all, the price-performance ratio is also right. So if you're hungry and want to eat a burger or a steak, you should save yourself the 300m walk to the golden M and buy something prepared with love here that you can really enjoy! I'll be happy to come back any time I'm hungry. THANKS

10/10 bester Burgerladen in Hamburg. Der Burger des Monats ist immer ein Versuch wert und die Süßkartoffel-Pommes dazu wunderbar. Chili-Ketchup kommt dazu auch sehr böse.

Die Burger sind ein absoluter Traum! Die Kellner sind stets bemüht und freundlich und erfüllen alle Wünsche mit einem Lächeln. Zum perfekten Abschluss kann ich jedem den Kaiserschman (mit einer Kugel Vanille Eis) wärmstens ans Herz legen!

Waren schön öfters dort Essen und leider beim letzten Mal nicht gut. Fleisch zäh, Bun wie 2 Tage alt und Chicken wie 2-3 Frittiert. Schade, war unser Lieblings Burger Laden. An dem Tag hat einfach nichts gepasst…

Das etwas andere Ambiente, das etwas andere Essen... Horse in Pub. Der Name ist Programm, oder war es zumindest. Das Essen jedoch ist Klasse. Die Burger allesamt eine Leckerei. Die Süßkartoffelpommes sind der Hammer. Hier geht man sehr gern hin und kommt genausogern wieder. :)

Super Burger, mega lecker mit Kartoffelecken. Sehr netter Service, nette Location, einfach aber gemütlich. War bestimmt nicht das letzte Mal, gehen wir sicher noch oft hin. Man sollte aber besser reservieren.

Sehr gutes Essen und freundliches Personal.

Ein vollkommen unscheinbarer Laden von außer der es aber in sich hat. Ich denke genau das ist die Definition von „Geheimtipp“ obwohl die Küche eigentlich grad Feierabend machen wollte haben wir dennoch etwas bekommen ohne das schlechte Laune aufkam. Der Service stets mit einem Lächeln im Gesicht und sehr aufmerksam. Das Essen war wirklich hervorragend. Fleisch wirklich auf den Punkt getroffen, Brot fluffig, Salat frisch und Auswahl riesig. Die Portionen reichen alle Male zum satt werden. Wir werden wieder kommen auch wenn’s für uns nicht um die Ecke ist.

Hier gab es sehr leckere Burger, das Personal war sehr freundlich und, da wir sehr früh am Abend da waren (ab 18 Uhr) war es noch schön ruhig, so daß man sich mit 11 Leuten noch problemlos unterhalten konnte. Später wurde es lauter. Wir kommen gerne wieder.

Sehr,sehr gut! Wir haben hier mit 11 Personen gefeiert und es war fantastisch. Die Bedienung war sehr freundlich und aufmerksam, das Essen hat ausnahmlos allen sehr gut geschmeckt (das war ohne Übertreibung einer der besten Burger meines Lebens) und wurde uns allen gleichzeitig serviert. Die Location ist rustikal aber sehr stimmig und gut zu den Speisen passend. Ich komme sicherlich wieder her.

Personal war echt nett. Ich fand den Burger nicht so lecker. Das Brötchen schmeckte mir persönlich nicht. Fleisch und Soße war aber lecker. Ebenfalls der Salat - für den Preis echt sehr gute Portion.

Das Essen hier ist wirklich super und für Veganer*innen gibt es auch einen veganen Burger im Menü (einschl. Beilagen). Rundum gibt es bzgl. Essen nichts zu beanstanden, 5 Sterne. Die Kellnerin war zudem super freundlich. Service auch 5 Sterne. Das Ambiente hatte ich mir etwas ruhiger vorgestellt, aber es ist nunmal ein „Pub“, sollte man vorher vielleicht beachten. 3 Sterne daher von mir, aber nur weil ich kein Pub-Mensch bin. Wer es mag, der wird es wahrscheinlich super finden. Auch ohne Reservierung haben wir einen Tisch bekommen, aber nur weil die Mitarbeiter*innen so nett waren und während ihrer Mittagspause, Platz für uns gemacht haben. Für ein besseres Gewissen hätten wir vorher aber doch lieber reserviert, denn es einen eher ungemütlichen Eindruck hinterlassen, als ob wir gestört hätten. Insgesamt ein gutes Lokal mit sehr gutem Essen und top Service!

Ich hatte irgendeinen HouseXXl mit 2x200g Fleisch.... ein riesiges Ding! Fleisch war sehr saftig, der Burger an sich echt lecker. Klasse waren auch die Pommes, die selbst kalt noch echt knusprig waren. Kalt waren sie übrigens nur, weil ich so lange für den Burger gebraucht habe. Empfehlenswert!

Der Burger des Monats war im Juli wieder mega lecker.

Wirklich tolle und leckere Burger-Menüs. So ein Laden hat in Harburg bisher gefehlt. Der Außenbereich ist für die Lage direkt an der Straße super abgeschirmt und auch schön eingerichtet. Der Chef ist nur gelegentlich sehr aufdringlich und stört, wenn man einfach nur in Ruhe essen will.

Ich möchte mich nicht den vor schreiben anschließen die Mahlzeit zu viel und zu teuer mit freundlichen Gruß

Die Burger, die wir bestellt haben, waren stimmig und haben sehr gut geschmeckt: Der Patty war gut gewürzt und gut durchgebraten, das Gemüse war frisch und die Soßen waren gut aufeinander abgestimmt. Die Pommes waren auf den Punkt kross frittiert und ebenfalls stimmig gewürzt, nicht zu viel und nicht zu wenig. Zum Ambiente: Die Räumlichkeiten schienen wohl einst eine Kneipe gewesen zu sein, weswegen es innen klein ist. Das ist in Ordnung, ich finde, man hat das Beste aus den Räumen herausgeholt :-) Es gibt einige Meter weiter noch einen dazugehörigen Außenbereich. Die Angestellten waren freundlich und höflich. Die Preise fand ich angemessen. Die Portion Pommes könnte kleiner sein, dafür könnte die Portion Soße etwas größer sein. Dass die Burger auf Schiefertafeln angerichtet und der Rest auf einem riesigen Holz-Schneidebrett transportiert wird, finde ich persönlich etwas unhandlich und gewöhnungsbedürftig. Wir kommen auf jeden Fall noch einmal wieder :-)

Tolles Restaurant, tolle Bedienung, gehen auf den Gast ein... und die Preise sind echt fear.

The staff was really nice ! We came in without knowing we forgot our wallet, we also couldn't pay with our Dutch bank! They kept trying till we could pay! Oh the beer was also good!!

Wir gehen immer wieder gerne zu Matthias: leckere Burger zum fairen Preis und eine super Bedienung. Lohnt sich jedesmal!

Nicht mehr schön, leider... extrem teuer geworden, 1 Erwachsener, ein Kind knapp 40 Euro? Und die Toiletten sind sehr ungepflegt. Tut uns echt leid, aber trotz Corona kann ja nicht alles im Gastro Bereich toleriert werden
