Lange Treppe in Marburg

It was our first time in this “little restaurant”… and definitely not the last time…. When we visited our son, who has been studying in Marburg since October, we wanted to treat ourselves to culinary delights in the small restaurant: it exceeded our expectations many times over! Started with the warm welcome and the beautifully set table in the winter garden. The great menu, adapted to the season, has been adapted to individual wishes. Every course, including the additional delicacies from the kitchen, is a poem. The wine accompaniment as well. The service is humorous, attentive, unobtrusive... making it even more fun to be pampered. Also worth highlighting is the very good price-performance ratio! When we travel to Marburg, we are not “only” looking forward to our son but also to the restaurant, because that is a MUST, if not a reason, to travel to Marburg! Until then...hopefully soon 😉 Many thanks to the whole team!!

A star for the greeting from the kitchen. This soup tasted excellent. Saturday evening 7.30pm meal with voucher book...we were the only guests until 9pm...that says a lot. ....our portions were small ....the potato wedges were arranged very clearly...so we immediately ordered a portion, which unfortunately didn't come ....we then had to order them again. The service was busy behind the counter on the cell phone... The sea bream we ordered was fried too dark, therefore dry and tasteless... We sat outside and asked the waitress to clean the table. It was very dusty and we also looked in vain for a nice decoration at the table. Only an ashtray...I hung my bag on the chair...when I reached for it I reached into tall nettles right next to me..... All in all very bleak...unfortunately not too recommend...it's a shame...we were really looking forward to this evening...
