Sehr originelle Gerichte, sehr lecker, sehr individuelle Bedienung Wir haben schon oft da gegessen und waren immer total zufrieden.

Unser Lieblingsrestaurant für besondere Anlässe! Ich war vor Kurzem zum dritten Mal mit meinem Freund hier essen, und wir haben direkt wieder einen Tisch für das nächste Mal reserviert. Die Atmosphäre ist wunderschön, der Service jedes Mal außergewöhnlich aufmerksam und das Essen begeistert uns immer wieder aufs Neue. Besonders schön finde ich, dass ich mich als Vegetarierin hier wirklich gut aufgehoben fühle. Sowohl der Gruß aus der Küche als auch einzelne Menübestandteile werden für mich angepasst und das nicht nur „ersetzt“, sondern jedes Mal mit spürbarer Mühe und richtig besonderem Geschmack umgesetzt. Mein Freund hat sich bereits durch Fisch, Fleisch und vieles dazwischen probiert und war ebenfalls jedes Mal begeistert. Das kleine Restaurant ist für uns der perfekte Ort, um besondere Anlässe würdig zu feiern. Da wir beide noch studieren, ist es natürlich kein alltäglicher Restaurantbesuch, aber gerade deshalb ist es für uns jedes Mal ein Abend, auf den man sich richtig freut und der sich absolut lohnt. Ab dem zweiten Besuch haben wir außerdem angefangen, uns durch die Hausweine zu probieren, und waren auch davon sehr überzeugt. Alles in allem eine ganz große Empfehlung für alle, die einen besonderen Abend mit hervorragendem Essen, tollem Service und einer wirklich schönen Atmosphäre verbringen möchten.

Das Essen ist wirklich sehr lecker, der Service super und das Ambiente, wenn man im Wintergarten sitzt, sehr schön. Aber wenn man schon öfters da war, fällt einem auf, das sich die Gerichte immer wiederholen und das sogenannte Wochenmenü nicht wöchentlich gewechselt wird. Dies lädt leider nicht zum wiederkommen ein. Wir gehen in so ein besonderes Restaurant, um Vielfalt und neues zu essen und leider nicht wie bei meinem Lieblingsitaliener die gleiche Pizza. Echt schade, da wir schon öfters wiederkommen wollten, aber das Menü schon kannten und deshalb auch schon Gutscheine haben verfallen lassen. Wir würden uns neue Gerichte und ein Wochenmenü, was wirklich wöchentlich wechselt, wünschen.

Wir haben hervorragend hier gegessen und sind so toll durch den Abend und die Speisen geführt worden. Sollten wir mal wieder in Marburg sein, werden wir auf jeden Fall wiederkommen. 🫶🏼

Ja was soll ich sagen? Chapeau! Wir waren gestern zum ersten Mal im Kleinen Restaurant und waren begeistert. Erstklassiges Essen, fein abgestimmt, saisonal ohne lästige Effekthascherei, sondern basierend auf guten Zutaten und präziser Zubereitung. Der Thunfisch, perfekt gegart. Die Qualität des Lammfleisches, erstklassig. Einzig das Pistou war mir persönlich etwas zu derb, da fehlten ein wenig die frischen Noten. Aber das ist eine Kleinigkeit. Wir haben uns zudem sehr wohl und gut bewirtet gefühlt. Der junge Service agiert angenehm zurückhaltend und aufmerksam zugleich. Auch das ist heutzutage eine Seltenheit. Mein einziger Verbesserungspunkt ist die Weinauswahl, welche doch sehr fokussiert (Mosel & Pfalz) ist und in der Preisgestaltung eher fortgeschritten daherkommt. Dafür empfand ich das Preis-Leistungsverhältnis des Menüs als herausragend und wäre durchaus bereit gewesen für das Gebotene auch etwas mehr zu bezahlen. Zusammenfassend ein ganz großes Lob an Familie Krohn und ihr Team. Wir kommen wieder. Versprochen!

Schon seit so vielen Jahren und so auch heute, war der Restaurantbesuch traumhaft toll. Super Service, tolles Ambiente, aber vor allem ein unübertroffen gutes Essen. Die dazu passenden Weinempfehlungen haben den Abend zu einem unvergesslichem Erlebnis gemacht. Das Menü ist virtuos und saisonal frisch zusammengestellt und sucht in seiner Komposition seines Gleichen. Ein Geschmackserlebnis der besonderen Art. Meine Freundin und ich hatten einen wundervollen Abend. Wir wollten etwas Besonderes ausprobieren – und genau das haben wir mit unserem Besuch im kleinen Restaurant erlebt. Das Team arbeitet sehr aufmerksam und professionell, nimmt jede Kleinigkeit wahr, ohne dabei aufdringlich zu wirken oder ständig nachzufragen. Es fühlte sich beinahe so an, als würden sie unbemerkt um uns herum agieren, was wir als äußerst angenehm empfanden. Die Weinempfehlung des Inhabers passte hervorragend zum Gericht meiner Freundin und rundete das Geschmackserlebnis perfekt ab. Das Menü war insgesamt sehr harmonisch abgestimmt. Jeder Gang überzeugte durch eine schöne Balance, die uns besonders gefallen hat. Auch die Qualität der verwendeten Lebensmittel war ausgezeichnet. Zudem waren die Preise dafür mehr als fair. Wir kommen auf jeden Fall wieder und freuen uns schon jetzt auf die kommenden Menüs.

Das „kleine Restaurant“ ist vielleicht keine Sterneküche a la Gordon Ramsey, aber Marburg ist nunmal auch nicht die Sterneküchenmetropole, daher darf man als erfahrener Feinschmecker, der schon die besten Restaurants erlebt hat, nicht zu viel erwarten wenn man hier essen geht, jedoch für jene, die das Erlebnis eines solchen Restaurants zum ersten Mal erleben wollen und nicht direkt ein 200€ Essen bestellen wollen, ist es womöglich genau die richtige Anlaufstelle. Das Essen war vermutlich das Beste, welches ich je zu mir genommen habe und zu mindestens an diesem Tag gab es keinen Grund irgendetwas an dem Service zu kritisieren. Höchstens die Tatsache, welche auch in manch anderen Kritiken schon erwähnt wurde, dass es bestimmt nicht schaden würde, wenn alles, was für das aktuelle und zukünftige Essen nicht mehr benötigt wird … Geschirr, Gläser etc. von der Bedienung weggeräumt werden würde. Das Ambiente des Restaurant hatte seine Vorzüge ..z.b. die Musik, aber ist bestimmt noch bereit für Optimierungen. Ich würde also das Restaurant nicht als perfekt einordnen, aber es zeigt auf jeden Fall, was für ein wundersames Erlebnis ein solch preislich gehobenes Restaurant doch sein kann.

For my wife's birthday, we visited the beautiful town of Marburg and dined at Das Kleine Restaurant in the evening. The table was beautifully decorated with rose petals, and I was delighted that special attention had been paid to her birthday. The owners and staff at this restaurant do everything perfectly. They were very friendly, attentive, and always available. The food was excellent and surprised us with new flavors. The courses were served at just the right time, allowing ample time for conversation without long waits for the next course. We were very satisfied and would highly recommend this restaurant. Because of her birthday, my wife received a voucher for another meal. We will definitely return to Marburg to use this voucher and relive this wonderful experience.

Clientele: the average age of the guests during our visit was well under 50, so I can't understand why another review claims the restaurant is only suitable for guests over 50. Bar and Aperitifs Bar: impressively stocked with sophisticated aperitif options and small delicacies. Regarding a review that referred to these beverage bottles as filled with tea: please keep quiet if you don't know what you're talking about. Thank you. Conclusion A highly recommended evening: excellent food, a friendly welcome, superb wine pairings, and a bar that leaves you wanting more. Ideal for discerning guests of all ages. Excellent dinner in a sophisticated, relaxed atmosphere. The food is very good, carefully prepared and impeccably presented. The service in the dining room is extremely attentive, friendly and very well prepared. It really helps to make the experience unique. Gladly again, next time! The first impression was strange – deep-pile, cheap carpet, inappropriate decor, and a bar draped with so many half-full schnapps/liqueur bottles (probably tea) – I suspected it was fake. The service was overly friendly but also fake and basically disinterested and ignorant. The meals were cheap, the main thing being the decor, and boring – it's worth taking a look at the garbage behind the building. The inside was filled with junk bread from discount stores, highly praised – so nothing for international gourmets – just a rip-off shop.

A wonderful little restaurant. A delicious menu and super friendly and attentive service. To my delight, all of my special requests were met creatively (not simply omitting what I couldn't stomach). A definite recommendation! It's definitely worth cycling the Lahn Valley Cycle Path again.

I recently had the great pleasure of dining at this "small" but exquisite restaurant in Marburg – and I can confidently say that this evening was one of the best dining experiences I've ever had. From the very first minute, everything was just right: the atmosphere, the food, and especially the service. Mr. Dornhöfer embodies in every respect what excellent service means. From the very first moment, he was attentive, courteous, and professional without ever being intrusive. With a keen sense of timing, he was always there when needed, yet unobtrusive enough to allow you to completely relax. His recommendations – both for the wine and the menu – were spot-on and perfectly matched our tastes. You immediately sense that someone here works with genuine passion and a deep understanding of hospitality. The restaurant itself is lovingly decorated – stylish, but not overly opulent, cozy, and with a pleasant tranquility that invites you to relax and unwind. You immediately notice that the work here is done with passion. The menu is concise, but very well thought out – a beautiful selection of creative dishes that skillfully showcase seasonal and regional produce. Each course was a culinary highlight: fresh, subtly seasoned, perfectly matched, and beautifully presented. I would particularly like to highlight the starter: a tuna tartare with wild herbs and an orange sauce – an interplay of delicate flavors and exciting textures, as well as the main course (beef fillet), which not only impressed with its taste, but was also expertly prepared and cooked to perfection. What was particularly impressive was that Mr. Dornhöfer not only had an open ear for individual requests, but also an eye for every detail. Empty glasses were noticed before you could even think about them, small special requests were handled with a smile, and even in more stressful moments, he radiated calm and warmth. I can highly recommend this restaurant to anyone who not only wants to eat well, but also wants to feel truly welcome as a guest. Aufgrund der überwiegend sehr guten Bewertungen haben wir (junges Paar) uns entschlossen, im kleinen Restaurant einen schönen Abend mit gutem Essen zu verbringen. Leider kam es anders: Weder das Essen noch der Service entsprachen der Preisklasse. Man versucht hier Haute Cuisine und den entsprechenden Service zu imitieren, scheitert aber auf ganzer Linie. Im Detail: Draußen 27 Grad hatten wir einen Tisch im Wintergarten bekommen. Dort war kein Fenster offen, keine Klimaanlage an, es war heiß und stickig. War dem Personal aber egal, obwohl dort drei besetze Tische waren, und alle Gäste mit Schweißperlen auf der Stirn. Dann wurde ich zum ersten Mail komisch beäugt, als meine Partnerin einen Aperitif, ich allerdings „nur“ einen Hauswein bestellt hatte – offenbar war man ob der Wahl etwas pikiert. Gut, kann auch am falschen Eindruck meinerseits liegen, also ab zur Bestellung des 4-Gänge-Menüs, hier wählten wir jeweils eine der beiden Alternativen, hatten also das gesamte Menü (minus vegetarischem Hauptgang) am Ende. Das Thunfisch-Tartar war OK, leider aber geschmacklich im Zitronensaft ersoffen. Der Salat war eine Enttäuschung: Geschmacklich zwar nicht schlecht, aber furchtbar langweilig, keine ansprechende Präsentation, nur eine Schüssel gemischter Salat wie auf einer Raste. Die Spargelcremesuppe als Zwischengang war dann wieder gut. Der Hauptgang in kurz: Fisch und Fleisch sehr gut, die Beilagen eine Enttäuschung. Auch hier, man gibt sich wenig Mühe mit der Präsentation, und die Beilagen sind entweder Fad (Kartoffeln, dünner (!) Spargel) oder versalzen (Spinat). Bei den Nachspeisen, die Variationen der Erdbeere wiederum gut, die Käseplatte…eine Scheibe Käse mit Brot – wie bitte? Essenstechnisch also Hit-and-Miss, für die Preislage und den Anspruch des Restaurants aber ungenügend. Und dann der Service…wie gesagt, der Anfang war schon komisch. Wurde aber nicht besser: Auch wenn Weißwein bestellt wurde, die Rotweingläser etc blieben bis mitten im Hauptgang einfach stehen, der Tisch war völlig überladen. Ich musste einige Deko schon auf die Durchreiche neben dem Tisch stellen, um überhaupt essen zu können. Vollständig abgeräumt wurde auch nicht, das leere Salatdressing samt Unterteller stand bis zum Dessert im Weg. Auch beim Wein: Die Karaffe war zwar kaltgestellt (in einer Plastiktüte mit kaltem Wasser…) – allerdings nachschenken? Bei uns Fehlanzeige. Ich musste mir die Karaffe dann selbst holen – am Nachbartisch war das mit der gleichen Karaffe aber kein Problem, hierzu noch später. Auch als ich das Fleisch des Hauptganges lobte, eine komische Reaktion, es wurde kurz „gegiggelt“- ich hatte das erste Mal in einem Restaurant das Gefühl nicht ernst genommen zu werden. Auch wurden wir nicht einmal gefragt, ob wir noch etwas bräuchten. Gut, dafür kann man sich die Farbe des Steakmessers aussuchen, so ein Blendwerk. Das Ganze gipfelte dann bei der Zahlung in der Behauptung, man nehme keine Kreditkarte. Auf Nachfrage und kleine Diskussion dann das „Angebot“: Man könne die VISA ja einfach mal probieren. Hat natürlich funktioniert. Wenn das Personal noch nicht mal die Zahlungsmöglichkeiten kennt… Alles in allem haben wir wohl nicht in das Gästeschema gepasst: 50+, in konservativer Kleidung. Wir waren auch die einzig „jungen“ Gäste, und wurden als einzige so vernachlässigt. Ist ja auch OK, wenn man sich als Restaurant auf langweilige Küche für älteres Publikum spezialisiert, kann ja gut passen. Aber dann sagt es dem Gast auch, und lasst Gäste, die nicht in Eure Vorstellung passen nicht so auflaufen und verderbt ihnen (uns) den Abend. Ich bin das erste Mal seit Jahren ohne Trinkgeld aus einem Restaurant. Und das zurecht. Keine Empfehlung, weder kulinarisch noch vom Service.

Because of the mostly very good reviews, we (young couple) decided to spend a nice evening with good food in the small restaurant. Unfortunately, things turned out differently: neither the food nor the service corresponded to the price range. They try to imitate haute cuisine and the corresponding service here, but fail completely. In detail: It was 27 degrees outside and we got a table in the winter garden. There were no windows open, no air conditioning on, it was hot and stuffy. But the staff didn't care, even though there were three occupied tables and all the guests had beads of sweat on their foreheads. Then I was looked at strangely in the first email when my partner had ordered an aperitif, but I had “only” ordered a house wine - apparently they were a bit annoyed by the choice. Well, it could also be due to the wrong impression on my part, so off to order the 4-course menu, here we each chose one of the two alternatives, so we had the entire menu (minus the vegetarian main course) at the end. The tuna tartare was OK, but unfortunately the taste was drowned in lemon juice. The salad was a disappointment: the taste wasn't bad, but it was terribly boring, not an attractive presentation, just a bowl of mixed salad like it was on a rest. The asparagus cream soup as an intermediate course was good again. The main course in short: fish and meat were very good, the side dishes were a disappointment. Here too, little effort is put into the presentation, and the side dishes are either bland (potatoes, thin (!) asparagus) or too salty (spinach). When it comes to desserts, the strawberry variations are again good, the cheese plate...a slice of cheese with bread - what? In terms of food, it was hit-and-miss, but insufficient for the price range and the requirements of the restaurant. And then the service...as I said, the beginning was strange. But it didn't get any better: Even if white wine was ordered, the red wine glasses etc. just stayed there until the middle of the main course and the table was completely overloaded. I had to put some decorations on the hatch next to the table in order to be able to eat. It wasn't completely cleared away either, the empty salad dressing and saucer stood in the way until dessert. Also with the wine: the carafe was kept cold (in a plastic bag with cold water...) - but should you refill it? None for us. I then had to get the carafe myself - but it wasn't a problem at the next table with the same carafe, more on that later. Even when I praised the meat in the main course, there was a strange reaction, there was a brief “gigging” - I had the feeling for the first time in a restaurant that I wasn't being taken seriously. We weren't even asked if we needed anything else. Well, you can choose the color of the steak knife, what an illusion. The whole thing culminated in the payment when they claimed that they didn't take a credit card. Upon request and a little discussion, the “offer” came: You could just try the VISA. Of course it worked. If the staff doesn't even know the payment options... All in all, we probably didn't fit into the guest mold: 50+, in conservative clothing. We were also the only “young” guests and were the only ones who were so neglected. It's OK, if you're a restaurant that specializes in boring cuisine for an older audience, that can be a good fit. But then tell the guest and don't let guests who don't fit into your idea show up like that and spoil their (us) evening. For the first time in years, I left a restaurant without a tip. And rightly so. No recommendation, neither culinary nor service.

This was our second time there and we were completely impressed both evenings. The food was delicious, and the service was very attentive and friendly. We'd love to come back.

It's been a long time since we've been back with friends at the small restaurant. It's still really good. You immediately feel at home, and the menu is fantastic, both in terms of taste and visual appeal. We'll be back and have already booked. Thanks for the lovely stay.

We were in Marburg for a short break. The decision to visit this restaurant was simply the right one. The food was excellent, and the service was top-notch.

Very friendly, attentive staff and super delicious food. I have only wonderful memories of my visits.

Schon länger geplant, das Restaurant zu besuchen. Nun umgesetzt. Ein kleines und feines Restaurant, mit ca. 10 Tischen. Hochwertiges und stilvolles Ambiente. Weiße Tischdecken, Stoffservietten, gutes Besteck und Gläser. Sehr gutes und serviceorientiertes Personal. Es gibt monatlich eine Menueempfehlung mit 4 Gängen, zu moderaten Preisen. Wir hatten einen sehr schönen Abend und das Essen war wirklich sehr gut. Eine kleine Anmerkung zur Getränke (Wein) Auswahl. Diese ist leider etwas eingeschränkt und könnte, unseres Erachtens, etwas umfangreicher - und höherwertiger sein. Umfangreich und sehr erlesen, ist die Auswahl an Digestiv! Aber das ist Kritik auf hohem Niveau und bietet Raum zur Steigerung ;) Ein rundum gelungener Abend. Wir kommen gerne wieder. Vielen Dank an das engagierte Team.

Heute zum ersten mal in diesem Restaurant(und auch überhaupt) essen gewesen. Meine Frau und ich wurden von Beginn an freundlich empfangen und trotz starker Nervosität wurde alles recht schnell gelassen und entspannt. Das Essen war absolut köstlich. Das Personal merkte direkt, dass wir überfordert und nervös waren und hat daruaf hin beruht, uns alles erklärt und dafür gesorgt, dass wir uns wohl fühlten. Service als auch das Essen einfach nur Top. Insgesamt ein sehr schönes, kleiner Restaurant. Kann ich nur weiterempfehlen.

If you want to live something special in terms of a four-course menu with excellent service and ambience as well as delicious wine, then you can highly recommend the small restaurant in Marburg! It was a very special evening that was worth the money!

Great service, delicious dishes with an exquisite selection - including drinks (wine, whiskey). And all of this at a fair price in a living room atmosphere. It doesn't get any better! Thanks and chapeau to the hosts! If we are in Marburg again we will definitely come back to this gem.

I was invited by my partner to “The Little Restaurant” in Marburg on Boxing Day. We were warmly welcomed and shown to our reserved table in the winter garden. A look at the menu gave us an idea that we could expect something special. The Christmas decorations gave the evening the appropriate setting. The menu was impressive both in terms of presentation and taste. Soft music was playing in the background, which made it easy to have a conversation. The unobtrusive service staff was always present to ask the guests' wishes. A really successful evening in a great atmosphere with very tasty food. I would spend an evening there again at any time.

Das Weihnachtsessen mit lieben Freunden war rundum perfekt. Ambiente, Service, Essen. So langsam könnte man gar nicht essen um den phantastischen Geschmack nicht wieder aus dem Mund zu verlieren. Perfektes Timing für die Gänge. Den Preis mehr als wert.

Was kann man in kurzen Worten sagen,ohne etwas zu vernachlässigen. Sehr angenehme Atmosphäre, ein ausgezeichnetes Menü, perfekt abgestimmter Wein zu jedem Gang. It was our first time in this “little restaurant”… and definitely not the last time…. When we visited our son, who has been studying in Marburg since October, we wanted to treat ourselves to culinary delights in the small restaurant: it exceeded our expectations many times over! Started with the warm welcome and the beautifully set table in the winter garden. The great menu, adapted to the season, has been adapted to individual wishes. Every course, including the additional delicacies from the kitchen, is a poem. The wine accompaniment as well. The service is humorous, attentive, unobtrusive... making it even more fun to be pampered. Also worth highlighting is the very good price-performance ratio! When we travel to Marburg, we are not “only” looking forward to our son but also to the restaurant, because that is a MUST, if not a reason, to travel to Marburg! Until then...hopefully soon 😉 Many thanks to the whole team!!

We enjoyed the food very much. The service was unobtrusive and very friendly and attentive. The atmosphere was very relaxed and pleasant. I also really liked the tasteful floral decorations.

My parents celebrated their golden wedding anniversary on October 16th and spent this special day in your restaurant - and they were absolutely thrilled! As soon as you entered the small, charming restaurant you could feel the loving atmosphere. The table was decorated tastefully and with attention to detail, which perfectly complemented the special occasion. The food was to die for. The entire team was incredibly friendly and attentive. A big thank you on behalf of my parents for this wonderful evening.

Wir waren wie immer hellauf begeistert. Schon seit Jahren ist es für uns selbstverständlich wenn wir in Marburg zu Besuch sind auch im Kleinen Restaurant das Essen von Markus Fuchs zu genießen. In der ruhigen Atmosphäre, und seit der letzten Renovierung das noch schönere Ambiente, zu genießen. Wir können nur jedem, der das etwas Besondere sucht, nur empfehlen hier einen Abend zu verbringen.

Gestern waren wir wieder mal im Kleinen Restaurant. Die Speisen waren wie immer exzellent und auf hohem Niveau. Der Service am Gast lässt keine Wünsche offen. Bastian und Nigel kümmern sich sehr professionell und stets freundlich um das Wohl der Gäste. Wir genießen jedes Mal den Ausflug nach Marburg und die schönen Stunden im Kleinen Restaurant.

Wir haben wieder einen schönen Abend mit köstlichem Essen, professionellen und sehr angenehmen Service im Kleinen Restaurant verbracht. Schade,dass wir nicht in Marburg wohnen, sonst wären wir öfters hier. Wir kennen das Restaurant schon viele Jahre und es steht immer auf unserer to do Liste für Marburg an 1. Stelle.

Nicht zum ersten Mal, und ganz sicher nicht zum letzten Mal: Ein Besuch wie Urlaub, toller Service, absoluter Kenner der Haute Cuisine, angefangen vom Wein bis hin zur Erklärung des Essens, einfach Spitze. Einziger Wermutstropfen: Man musste zum Abschied nochmal einen Spitzen Süßwein trinken. Wer sich hier nicht aufgehoben fühlt, isst ansonsten nur beim Schnitzelwirt ums Eck…

Yesterday evening, we arrived at the restaurant full of anticipation and were greeted with a very warm welcome. We entered the restaurant and felt very comfortable from the first moment. My thoughts at this moment this could be a very nice evening. It was a very nice evening for our friends and us. The food was of high quality, served with the greatest possible attention and to the guest. The crowning finale last night was the walk back through the old town after visiting the restaurant. We would like to take this opportunity to thank the entire team for what we thought was an exceptionally successful evening at “Das kleine Restaurant” in Marburg. Thanks!

Das Personal versucht unbeholfen und ohne Kenntnisse Haute Cuisine zu imitieren. Das Salatdressing bestand hauptsächlich aus Essig, Gaspacho versalzen und überwürzt, nicht genießbar. Hauptgang und Dessert okay aber durchschnittlich. Die Weinauswahl sehr überschaubar und mangelhaft und überteuert. Wir wollten einen Tisch für 19:00 h reservieren, was leider nicht möglich war, nur 18:00 oder 18:30. Wir saßen dann mit zwei weiteren Paaren allein im Restaurant, es kamen keine weiteren Gäste .. Auf unsere Nachfrage antwortete man, da habe der Kollege sich wohl im Tag geirrt. Nie wieder

A MUST if you are in Marburg! Starting from the beautiful ambience, the decorated table (we were there on the occasion of a birthday), to the delicious food. There was a menu with very exquisite compositions. Perfect in terms of taste and special and also pleasing to the eye. I would also like to mention the strikingly competent, attentive, pleasant, friendly and very service-oriented staff. We had a very nice evening there and I can only recommend eating there. Perfect evening with a very good menu and a very friendly service team.

Schon lange nicht so schlecht, in einem kalten Restaurant mit einem Kellner, der schon mit acht Gästen überfordert war, gegessen: Gruss aus der Küche mit einer etwas zähen Garnele auf Tomatentapanade schmeckte überwiegend nach Ketchup. Vorspeise: Wildkräutersalat war ein bescheidener kleiner Beilagensalat , ohne jegliche Aufhübschung , z.B. mit einer kleinen Tomate oder Blüte. Die andere: Kalbstafelspitz war von sehr guter Qualität. Die marinierten Dillbohnen waren nicht vorhanden, sondern auch Wildkräutersalat mit zwei Brösel Zuckerschoten. Versalzene Bärlauchsuppe mit verkochter Ravioli Hauptgang: Sehr guterHeilbut, auf den Punkt gegart in einer undefinierbaren weissen Mehlpampe , die sich Curry nannte. Die Gewürzblüten waren nicht zu finden. Gutes Ananascarpaccio Taupiniere und kandierte Tomaten mit Ziegenfrischkäse aus der Dordogne mit Trüffel entpuppte sich als eine Art Boursin aus der Packung mit einer zerquetschten Tomate, einem Brötchen und einer Scheibe Brot. Weinkarte mit ca einem Dutzend Flaschenweinen und vier offenen Weinen zwischen 14,50 und 16,50 E Wir haben vor Jahren gerne und häufig hier gegessen. War der Koch an diesem Abend nicht in der Küche?

The number of seats is not large; therefore you should pre-order. The service is excellent. There is only one menu with choices and excellent wines.

Yesterday we (4 people) were in the small restaurant for the second time and, like the first time (in the middle of last year), it was extremely pleasant, tasty and reasonably priced. We had tuna carpaccio (a dream), lobster stew (another dream) and (for a small extra charge of €8) the beef fillet in truffle sauce (which was generously served) with celery mousse and potatoes au gratin. Followed by a superbly matured Brillat Savarin cheese. At €66 for the menu it's by no means overpriced. There are no star-rated chichi in the small restaurant, but there is very good food, very well prepared and very pleasant yet reserved service. A classic wine accompaniment was not offered, but our nice service person made an effort to select suitable wines and even let us taste the alternatives he suggested beforehand. A wonderful and enjoyable evening. We'll probably have to come back ;-)

Exceptional service and very good food!

The food was excellent, from start to finish every dish was original, tasty and the portion size was really great. Not only will you feel full from the menu, but you will also notice as you eat that the individual dishes go well with each other and complement each other perfectly. The service was also really friendly and helpful. The only reason we deducted one star is because we unfortunately had to wait a long time between courses towards the end and didn't get anything to drink. So there was almost an hour between the main course and dessert without us being able to order drinks. Ordering the invoice and subsequent payment also took a total of almost half an hour. We still had a wonderful evening here and would come back at any time when we are in Marburg.

Delicious food with outstanding service! Rarely have we received such friendly and individual service as we did there. Every extra request was warmly received and, without asking, a lot of good things were done for us so thoughtfully! Great!

5 stars and a +!!!! It is deserved.🙂 After an extensive hike to and around Marburg, my fiancée reserved a table there because of my birthday. When we arrived there we were greeted very warmly and escorted to a specially decorated table. What a good start🤗👍After ordering the menu, we started with an aperitif.😃The food was a feast for the palate and visually excellently presented. There was also one or two greetings from the kitchen. Plus a really good wine recommendation! Everything was excellent all around. 👏👏 Conclusion: Food TOP TOP!! Service and friendliness TOP! Price performance TOP! Ambiance and feel-good factor TOP! Finally, a huge compliment to our service staff! 😃This means that the quality of a restaurant rises and falls. Even the best chef cannot shine without excellent service. In addition to the above-mentioned qualities, they also have a wonderful sense of humor 👍🤣Here people are happy to give generous tips! That's the minimum for such a fantastic performance including this delicious meal! Keep it up, this will make you stand out in the service desert of Germany😊🤗 Anyone who visits Marburg...lives there...or spent a weekend here like we did, should definitely eat here. We were guests in the small restaurant for the first, but certainly not the last, time. Everything was perfect here. Very friendly and courteous service that was never intrusive, but also never negligent. The selected menu was served course by course with sufficient time intervals that were perfectly timed. We found every course to be a small, positive surprise. From the bread at the beginning to the final espresso, everything was very tasty and high quality. Before my visit, based on the photos I found, I was a little worried about whether the portioned amount would be enough for us to leave the restaurant full. But that was absolutely the case. We felt full, but not overcrowded. Just right and the many courses make you enjoy and appreciate the menu even more. The atmosphere is also very nice. A small restaurant with soft music in the background and a very pleasant feel-good atmosphere.

Wir hatten das Restaurant über das Internet ausgesucht. Es war die perfekte Wahl für unseren Kurzaufenthalt in Marburg. Das Menü samt Wein war ausgezeichnet, angefangen mit dem Wachtelei in grüner Soße über das bestens mit einem Hauch Zitrone verfeinerten Lachstatar, gefolgt vom fantastisch schaumigen Estragon-Gnockerl-Süppchen bis zum Hauptgericht: der Spargel auf den Punkt - mit einem bisschen Biss, die Forellenklöße geheimnisvoll leicht, die wunderbare Soße dazu kommt separat, so dass man sie individuell dosieren kann. Auch das Rinderfilet mit Spargel mit separat gereichter Soße war ein Genuss. Zum Dessert alles von der Zitrone, ich beschreibe es nicht, denn man muss es einfach probieren. Auch die Käse-Variante mit Dreierlei Chutney war hervorragend - eindeutig und berechtigterweise sind hier die hausgemachten Chutneys der Hauptdarsteller. Zum Café gab es einen interessanten Plausch mit dem Chef.

Mitten in Marburg befindet sich ein Kleinod der Gemütlichkeit und des Geschmacks. Sehr nett wurden wir von 2 Herren im vorderen Bereich des Restaurants empfangen, die Garderobe wurde abgelegt und wir wurden zu unserem Tisch begleitet, „Wow“ war unser erster Eindruck, ein sehr schön eingedeckter Tisch begrüßte uns. Ein Hibiskus Sekt wurde zur Begrüßung gereicht, gefolgt von einem gebeizten Lachs auf Fenchel-Mus. Gebratene Jakobsmuschel auf marinierter Amalfi -Zitrone und Terrine mit Feldsalatröschen und Vinaigrette erhielten wir als ersten Gang. Zum Hauptgang wollten wir einen leckere „Scheurebe“ trinken, dieser passt perfekt zum Seeteufel – da er mit seinem spritzigen Fruchtaroma den Geschmack schmeichelt. Gebratene Seeteufel Medaillons in Thymianschaum und Safran-Risotto an Fenchelgemüse ließ unsere Zungen tanzen. Leider waren wir schon satt und wir konnten den Nachtisch nicht mehr aus der Menükarte genießen. Aber ein Espresso nach dem Essen geht immer, dabei wurde uns noch eine Schoko-Praline in der Tasse serviert. Nette Gespräche mit unserem Gastgeber ließen den Abend ausklingen. Wir kommen wieder, versprochen!

Wir waren heute erneut im Restaurant, um dort zu essen und sind damit begeisterte Wiederholungstäter. Das Viergangmenü als Spargelmenü aufgebaut war wieder ein Traum. Der Service, trotz gut gefülltem Lokal, heute ohne Unterstützung, ist völlig unaufgeregt und zuvorkommend. Immer für einen kleinen Scherz zu haben. Ein junges, aber trotzdem erfahrenes Team. Die Weinempfehlung (ein Rosewein) passte hervorragend. Das Preis-und Leistungsverhältnis ist mehr als gerechtfertigt, auch wenn es nicht als besonders billig anzusehen ist. Aber mit der Qualität kann man gerne auf das neue Sterne-Restaurant in Marburg verzichten. Es wird nicht unser letzter Besuch gewesen sein. Wir werden das Lokal ab nächstem Jahr vermissen, wenn wir keine Verbindung mehr nach Marburg haben. Sollte es eine Idee zur Eröffnung eines weiteren Restaurants geben, hoffen wir auf eine Eröffnung in Berlin.

Es gibt nur ein Menü, was wohl ständig wechsel. Man sollte also auf der Homepage sich die Auswahl anschauen. Wir haben ein Spargelmenü erhalten, welches geschacklich sehr gut war. Leider gab es zum Filet nur 2 Stangen Spargel. Das war dürftig.

Absolut empfehlenswert. So lecker das Essen. Der Service ist super nett und zuvorkommend. Müsst unbedingt dahin. Ein sehr schöner Abend. Wir kommen gerne wieder.
