Landhaus Tomas in Hagen

International cuisine and excellent service. We've been to Landhaus Tomas several times and have never been disappointed. Both the pike-perch fillet and the pork medallions in pepper sauce were truly superb. The portions were also very generous. Everyone will leave satisfied, even our (great-)grandfather, who usually only eats Westphalian food. We'll gladly return.

For me, this is the best steakhouse in Hagen. The quality of the meat is always top-notch, and the staff is super friendly!

Excellent; we had the grilled platters and salads. Very generous portions; you're given a transport container without asking if you fail. The meat is grilled excellently, and the salad bar is also very good. The service is very friendly and attentive, with a pleasant sense of humor.

This was our second time there, and once again my expectations were exceeded. The food is indescribably delicious, whether it was the schnitzel for the kids or the fillet steak for us, simply fantastic! The service is very friendly and always had a joke ready :-) The ambiance is very inviting and cozy! All in all, it was another successful evening! Thank you, ***** deserves it.

Disgusting beef compared to what we are used to eating in France

We went there relatively spontaneously. Contrary to all expectations, it was very busy. Service was friendly and fast. There were plenty of outdoor seating options. The menu was okay for non-vegetarians. The entrecôte was simply amazing! I'd go back for that. 🙃

This was our second time here. The first time, we wouldn't have even given it a star—that was about two years ago—but today, August 16, 2025, I have to say it was fantastic! I had a rump steak and my wife had the 603. Everything was fresh and well-prepared! The staff was incredibly friendly and accommodating. The only downside was a bit too much pepper in my wife's dish (turkey steak with avocado and salad). The atmosphere could be a bit better! But all in all, it was fantastic! We'd be happy to come back!

Unfortunately, the four of us didn't enjoy the food at all. Fried potatoes without bacon and onions only saw the pan briefly. The beef fillet and pork fillet were overcooked, and the thickest part of the fish was disgustingly slimy and strangely seasoned. It would be nice if the kitchen prepared the food with more sensitivity.

Unfortunately, I can't recommend this restaurant. The staff are very unfriendly and unwelcoming, and you don't feel like you're in good hands. A lot of fruit flies were infesting the salad buffet, and I had stomach problems an hour after eating. I'll never return to this restaurant.

Very suitable for private events

All in all, not bad at all! Making a reservation was easy, there were still seats available, and everything was arranged with a quick phone call. Upon arrival, we were greeted very warmly and shown to our seats promptly. The selection on the menu was great! There were both seasonal and classic dishes. A truly excellent selection. I was only a little disappointed with the side salad. It was only available from the buffet. And this was a bit limited, with many items coming from cans or jars. The meat selection was all the better, however. The variety and preparation were really very good. In conclusion, from my point of view, this restaurant is definitely recommended! The focus is on the main courses and less on the side dishes. But overall, that's not really a drawback!

Wir hatten Spargel mit Frühkartoffeln und Schinken sowie Filetsteak mit Folienkartoffel. Alles sehr lecker. Suppe und Salat vom Buffet gab’s dazu. Freundlicher Service, gepflegte Atmosphäre mit frischer Tischwäsche.

Very friendly and courteous service. The menu is varied. In addition, the dishes are very rich and delicious.

Very bad service. The steak was far too well done and tough. After a complaint, a new one was served, but the waiter explained that they had tried the remains of the steak in question and found it to be good. The new steak is no different, and skirt steak is difficult to prepare. We felt more than poorly served, something like that shouldn't happen in an upscale restaurant.

Were there on Christmas Day with 10 people. The parking situation is impossible, especially if you have older people with you. The service made an effort, but certainly could have made more sales with drinks, but no one comes. The food was ok, but just barely. We ate better in the snack bar. Lots of frozen food and bags of goods (sauces didn't work at all). The funny Bosniak was rather unfunny, so not a recommendation. The ambience was really good, but the prices were on the stellar side for snacks. Salad bar was not refilled despite asking and confirming. Unfortunately we won't be coming back.

Great food, great service and a very pleasant atmosphere. No long waiting times, despite the high number of visitors, and all the dishes were excellently prepared. Thank you for that!

The menu, ambience and decor are very good… It was also nicely decorated and homely outside. The service was too slow, drink orders were either implemented too slowly or simply ignored... I expect better...

Cool atmosphere and nice, relaxed service, was also very attentive. Even during the week there was a lot going on. There is a sumptuous salad buffet with a lot to choose from. For the main courses, the grill plate was convincing and left you completely satisfied.

Food was great, but it was served a little later than the other dishes without a sentence too much, which was a bit irritating. Sometimes a bit loud and restless, depending on where you sit... I also felt sorry for the people who were sitting near the toilets, there was a bit of a pungent smell just a few meters in front of the door.

Was there for the first time and was just thrilled. It is upscale and yet my kids were warmly welcomed and even received a coloring book. The food was really, really good, the staff was just very nice and friendly and even brought the hood to the car after us. A little more expensive than average, yes, but it's all worth it. Will happily come back :-)

Neither the food nor the service seemed “from the heart”. The waitresses didn't know anything about our reservation and simply pointed to any table, without e.g. to ask about the number of guests. The location at the distance learning university and the rooms themselves could be seen as a plus. For me, price and performance didn't match.

Spontaneously ate there this evening. Even though we hadn't made a reservation, we were warmly welcomed and well seated. Great food, very friendly. Thank you!

We had an excellent meal here. The service was top. There were 10 people there at very short notice, which wasn't a problem at all, even though the terrace was full. Gladly again.

Once again a delicious meal! In the back area of ​​the terrace you can no longer hear much of the traffic, so nothing stands in the way of a good conversation! Plus friendly and cheerful staff, so the warm summer evening is fun!

I thought about writing a review for a while, but I think it's fair to the next guests. I ordered risotto in this restaurant for €19!!!!! Euros. I think that's a steep price for a rice dish without meat. But that shouldn't be the topic here. I got normal long-grain rice that was warmed up in an admittedly delicious sauce, along with a few fried mushrooms and Parmesan cheese sparingly grated over the top. It had nothing to do with risotto at all. Very unfortunate. Now you could argue that you shouldn't order and eat risotto in a steakhouse. Yes, that's certainly true here, but I think if you have it on the menu it should also be risotto. No rice in sauce for €19 Won't come back.

Exceptionally good food in a cozy atmosphere and top service!

Located not far from the motorway in the vicinity of the Open University. Beautiful, very well-equipped, quiet rooms. Breakfast in the café next door.

The food was described to us (five people, two of whom had been here often before) as homemade and very tasty. Without wanting to go into details: the food seemed familiar to us, the convenience origins could not be denied. Convenience (packed in portions by the large manufacturer, only needs to be heated) doesn't have to be bad. However, it wasn't of high quality here. "Dogs are welcome here"... but at no table with a dog - we asked three of them - was a bowl of water offered. The toilet was clean.

The food is very good, especially the steaks are cooked perfectly at every level of cooking. The service is very friendly. It is also child-friendly here. Very pleasant atmosphere, both inside and outside. We come here often and in my opinion it is one of the best restaurants in Hagen.

Very disappointing, unfortunately there is no focus on quality here and the prices are absolutely exorbitant! Even though my food was not OK, some of it was inedible, I was charged the full price despite informing the waiter!!! I'm happy to pay a little more, but then the quality and service have to be right!

Nice location with great food. Both the fresh asparagus with fried potatoes and the grill plate with fries/rice were great. A salad from the buffet was included in the beginning :) Price/performance is right. We'd love to come back.

In the left room we sat very well in a well-kept atmosphere and the steaks were very tasty. The connection to the “River” in Herdecke cannot be denied. Everything great. The photos are an addendum from Easter 2024 - still great!

We were here for dinner on a Saturday evening. The food tasted excellent. Not a long wait and the food was served to 8 people at the same time. Friendly staff. Dogs allowed. One point deducted because the parking lot is too small for this amount of tables. Since there are many large tables, the atmosphere is very loud and you couldn't understand the person you were talking to. Entertainment difficult. Really comfortable is different, but if you want to eat delicious food, this is the place for you.

The selection of food is very large and equally delicious. The rooms are very modern. The salad buffet is large and offers something for everyone. The fresh preparation of many types of fish and meat is done quickly. A beautiful terrace invites you to linger in summer. The staff is always very, very friendly, quick and courteous. Das Essen war sehr lecker. Leider wurde der Kellner SEHR SEHR patzig und unfreundlich (wurde laut), weil wir drauf hingewiesen haben, dass unsere Rechnung nicht stimmt. Nie wieder!

Chaotischer Service Essen Ok, aber nicht überragend Leckerer Prosecco der in der Karte steht nicht verfügbar. Statt einem alternativ Vorschlag kam nur als Antwort auf meine Bestellung 'Nix Prosecco' Dann drehte sich der Kellner um und ging. Vertrieb und Service 6, setzen.

Das Essen war gut! Preise angemessen

Hervorragendes Steakhouse mit exzellenter Küche. Bin öfters zu Dienstessen unterwegs und hier war ich baff in mehrfacher Hinsicht. Bedienung flink und trotz vollem Haus kam das bestellte Essen für 7 Leute schnell auf dem Tisch. Muss gestehen, solch ein Filetsteak in D noch nicht verspeist zu haben [nur in USA / Kanada]. Absolute Spitzenklasse. Selbst manch ein Sterne-Restaurant kriegt das so nicht hin. Würde sagen 10/10 Punkte. Mega. Komme ich wieder nach Hagen: dann hierher.

Essen kam schnell und war sehr gut. Die Bank zum sitzen, die an unserem Tisch stand, war verschlissen. Sah nicht schön aus. Die Preise bewegen sich im höheren Bereich.

War wegen meinem Aufenthalt zweimal im Landhaus Tomas essen gewesen und wurde nicht enttäuscht. Qualität und Portionen waren sehr gut. Auch ohne Reservierung sofort einen Tisch bekommen. Gerne beim nächsten Besuch in Hagen wieder.

Wir waren zum ersten mal hier in diesem Restaurant. Ich muss wirklich sagen, dass der Service und das Lokal wirklich super sind. Die Wartezeit war allerdings mit 1 1/2 Stunden etwas zu lang, was aber vielleicht dem „vollen Hause“ geschuldet war. Das Essen selbst hat uns dann versöhnlich gestimmt. Eine toll zusammen gestellte Fleischplatte (100) für zwei Personen mit fast alles was man mag….. Top 👍
