Dropped by spontaneously and got a seat quickly. Service very friendly and quick. However, in the end the price for the asparagus risotto (20.50 € card) did not match the bill (22.50 €), that can happen and we were immediately offered to give us the money back from the cash register. The only worry is that the waitress said that the problem was "known". Then why not change it? Jörg's aperitif cocktail was delicious and reasonably priced at around €8. The food (spinach and potato cream soup, asparagus risotto) was very, very good but a bit small (soup about 250 ml, 8 €) for the price. If it's uneconomical otherwise, then it's still better to leave out the egg and use twice the amount of soup (my opinion). Espresso good, but not on the menu and would be even better with Amarettino. Ambience is homely but modern. Overall, recommended if you are willing to spend a little more for small but delicious food, good service and the location.

We were invited to Easter brunch, which cost €45.00 per person. There were already 2 bottles of Stiftsquelle on the table (for €8.50). In comparison, a whole case of this water costs a whopping €7.50. There was no drinks menu anywhere, nor was there any information about the cost of the water bottles. In the end, however, each coffee, orange juice or tea was charged separately for a tidy €. Brunch usually includes at least one coffee and one juice. We felt ripped off. The warm dish (leg of lamb) was extremely dry because it had been in the warming container for a long time. Another visit is completely out of the question.

It was quick. Spices were missing from all dishes.

We recently celebrated our wedding at the Freemann and would like to sincerely thank the entire team! Thanks to their amazing support, this special day became an unforgettable experience. Everything was perfect – from the setting for the outdoor ceremony to the decor, the staff, and the delicious food. Daniela and Uta, in particular, contributed to us feeling completely at ease with their warm hospitality. They ensured the day ran smoothly and we always felt well supported and completely carefree. We are incredibly grateful for this unforgettable experience and will always cherish this day.

Enjoyed a delicious lunch; Sat on the terrace in lovely weather. It's a shame that the service wasn't that great; The dishes were left on the tables for far too long, even though the guests had long since left.

Christmas brunch on December 25th, 24 was disappointing We had booked for 7 people for 11:00 a.m. for the first holiday. The email exchange was friendly, it was acknowledged that a guest was disabled and accessibility was assured. We arrived ¼ hour early and were supposed to be seated on the first floor. When we pointed out that accessibility was mandatory, the receptionist said “I can see the problem” with a sideways glance at the disabled person. A chair was not offered. Not a word of apology. So we waited in the entrance area until guests from the ground floor were placed on the first floor. At 11:10 a.m. we were able to take a seat at the table. Unfortunately not all of them, because it was a table for 4, but after a while the remaining chairs arrived and we sat very cramped together. A joint toast with sparkling wine and grape juice was not possible because they arrived very late. After queuing for 20 minutes for the omelette (a friendly chef with only two pans), the coffee was unfortunately cold. What impression is left? An excessive placement in the location, narrow paths, friendly and hard-working, unfortunately also overwhelmed assistants; Unfriendly and unresponsive reception as well as cashiers, moody communication. There was no interest in what didn't go well. Summary? Team Freemann, you've done better! Lost seven guests for this type of event and a clear no thank you. We made reservations there for 11 people and were very satisfied, the food was extremely good, as was the service. There is only one thing I would like to pass on to the kitchen: the portions of a few dishes (e.g. saffron risotto) were small.

So etwas Schlechtes haben wir noch nie erlebt und wir waren dort schon öfter zu Gast, weil wir in der Umgebung wohnen. Von Beginn lief alles sehr schleppend, die Aufnahme der Bestellung, das bringen der Getränke, obwohl das Restaurant absolut nicht überfüllt war. Wir kennen es deutlich voller als es an dem Abend war. Wir bestellten eine Suppe und Brot mit Dip als Vorspeise, es kam nach geraumer Weile nur die Suppe, an das Brot mussten wir erinnern, kann passieren. In dem Dipp waren lauter lange Fäden, die wir raus pickten, die aussahen als wären es Haare, für uns undefinierbar. Danach warteten wir erst eine Stunde auf die Hauptgerichte, als ich dann daran erinnerte, bekam ich von der scheinbar netten Bedienung nur als Grund genannt, man hätte heute den ersten Tag wieder geöffnet und es müsse sich erst einspielen, wir müssten die Verzögerung in Kauf nehmen. Sie hat aber auch gar nicht in der Küche nachgefragt, meine Vermutung ist, die Bestellung war komplett untergegangen. Als ich eine weitere halbe Stunde später eine andere Bedienung ansprach und erneut fragte , wo unser Essen blieb, erkundigte dieser sich anscheinend in der Küche und kam kurz danach zwar wieder um sich zu entschuldigen, aber wir mussten weiterhin auf unser Essen warten. Hier war vermutlich der Zeitpunkt erreicht, an dem die Bestellung erst umgesetzt wurde. Am Ende bekamen wir zwar vier Hauptgerichte, davon waren aber zwei falsch, weil wir Muscheln Rheinische Art bestellt hatten, es kamen aber Muscheln in Tomatensoße. Ohne vorher zu ahnen, dass wir die falschen Gerichte bekamen, ließen wir bereits vorab ein Gericht davon zurückgehen, weil unsere Tochter bereits nach 1 3/4 Std. Wartezeit am Tisch eingeschlafen war. Am unverschämtesten war dann aber auch noch, dass man uns die Schuld in die Schuhe schieben wollte, wir hätten nur Muscheln bestellt, was 1. nicht der Wahrheit entsprach und 2. wenn es tatsächlich so gewesen wäre, hätte die Servicekraft bei drei angebotenen Varianten auf der Karte doch nachfragen müssen, welche Variante wir haben wollen. Da war das Fass voll, wir verlangten während zwei von uns noch aßen die Rechnung, um nicht weitere 1 3/4 Std. auf zwei weitere Hauptgerichte warten zu müssen. Zwei von vier haben am Ende leider hungrig das Restaurant verlassen. Wir haben dann um 22 Uhr noch zu Hause kochen müssen, damit die beiden auch noch etwas zu so später Uhrzeit zu essen bekamen. Wir wollten den Abend genießen, stattdessen war die Stimmung schlecht, und ich musste, das was wir bereits verzehrt hatten, zum normalen Preis bezahlen. Als Entschuldigung hätte ich schon erwartet, dass man uns da hätte in irgendeiner Weise entgegen kommen sollen, aber gut man sitzt auf dem hohen Ross und denkt, dass man sich das erlauben kann. Im Übrigen bekam man auch an anderen Tischen die Unzufriedenheit der übrigen Gäste deutlich zu spüren. Das war wohl kein guter Start. Vielleicht gibt es einen neuen Koch, ich weiß es nicht. Eins von den 4 Gerichten haben wir schon häufiger dort bestellt und es sah gestern auch anders und völlig lieblos angerichtet aus. So schnell werden wir dort nicht mehr essen gehen.

Halloween party at Freemann's. It was worth it, it was a full house, great music on two floors. The famous Freemann Currywurst cart was in front of the door. Anyone who felt like it could help themselves.

We reserved a table at Landhaus Freeman at short notice today. The food was delicious and was served quickly. The service was very courteous, friendly and very attentive. Everything was to our complete satisfaction.

Wir waren am 26.12.24 mit der Familie zum Weihnachtsbrunch im Landhaus Freemann. Es war alles sehr stimmig . Der Brunch war köstlich und der Service war wie immer sehr freundlich , zuvorkommend und kompetent. Es war alles super organisiert und wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt. Es war ein gelungener Weihnachtsbrunch .

We were there on December 26th. with the entire family (20 people) for brunch and lunch. Price performance is okay. The price is comparatively high, but there is a lot to choose from. Quality is okay. We went there with our baby and cannot recommend the place for parents with babies under 6 months at Christmas. The tables were so narrow that no stroller could get through, and the neighboring table complained several times about the stroller being parked. When we rocked our child to sleep near the cloakroom, we were again warned that we were disturbing, so we left the brunch before lunch because we didn't feel welcome. When I then asked if we could take at least one plate of lunch with us, we were told that this was not possible for insurance reasons. We then left early without lunch and were allowed to cook lunch at home for Christmas. Last year it wasn't so close. What a shame! Lactose-free milk and oat milk were empty after 5 minutes. Then only black was possible. The toilets upstairs also don't have changing facilities, so we had to take the tricky corner stairs to change our baby. I can't recommend this locally with a baby.

We were there today for Christmas brunch. We had to wait outside the door until our reserved table became available. It was completely overcrowded and the staff was overwhelmed. Drink orders took a long time because there weren't enough staff. The food was okay, but not to be expected for the price. Although the staff tried to be courteous, they didn't seem very motivated or friendly. When paying we were pointed out that neither Master nor Visa cards were accepted. I can imagine that it is very pleasant there at quiet times. The ambience is also very nice. However, as long as the focus is on maximizing customer service at all costs, I cannot recommend this location.

The food was ok for the price quoted. However, the service still has room for improvement. In particular, the waiting time for the dishes ordered was at the limit. We felt like we were treated more like customers, but we were guests who should come back.

Wir haben uns mit Freunden und Familie dort zum Essen getroffen. Seit Jahren gehen wir gerne in den Landgasthof. Die Qualität ist gut, die Preise gehoben und die Atmosphäre gemütlich.

Good selection of food and good quality of meals and desserts

It was so pleasant and tasty in this restaurant, compared to others, the cuisine here is even better. The food is beautifully presented on the plate, and then it tastes even better than it looks - a pleasure :) Yes, the price is definitely more expensive than average, you have to know, but you also know when you go to a slightly more upscale pub.

Very tasty food, never been disappointed. They enjoy being there and occasionally take something with them for home.

For our taste, the goose legs were not seasoned well and there was no crispy skin. It would also be nicer to serve the red cabbage separately so that everything doesn't run together. The sauce had no taste and was far too runny.

There were four of us, the food was consistently good, the shop was packed, the service was rather overwhelmed. Example: I had the very good Wiener Schnitzel, unfortunately the cucumber salad was forgotten and not delivered despite being announced.

On October 18th We were able to celebrate our wedding at the Landhaus Freeman. It was a wonderful day that couldn't have been better for us. Fantastic weather, great location, very tasty food and a great party. Our big thanks go to the entire Freemann team, especially Daniela, who supported us in the preparation phase with professionalism, advice and support and a lot of heart.

Our wedding in September 2024, at the Landhaus Freemann in Düsseldorf, was simply fantastic and exceeded all of our expectations! The location is not only beautiful, but also exudes a special atmosphere that made the day even more magical. The children could also while away their time in the beer garden and toys were provided. A huge thank you to the hosts Uta and Daniela, who accompanied us with so much heart and love from the first planning meeting to implementation and were always available for us. Their professionalism, their attention to detail and their warmth made the day perfect. The decoration was simply breathtaking and was implemented exactly as we imagined! And thank you very much for creating such a beautifully decorated place for an important, deceased person!!! :) A special highlight was the food or our menu, which was not only a visual delight, but also tasted at the highest level. All of our guests were amazed by the quality. Thank you very much, Uta and Daniela, and the entire service team at Landhaus Freemann for making our special day so unforgettable. We just wanted coffee and fruit cake, but unfortunately there was no cake. There should be fruit cakes in autumn and winter. The Avogatto as an alternative was good, but a bit expensive at €7.50. In addition, the price was not really good. Overall, a cozy inn with potential.

We were at the Freemann again today for my son's birthday. It was a Sunday evening and the restaurant was normally busy at 8 p.m. with one room in the middle being closed. Picking up the drinks went smoothly and quickly. Unfortunately, a small beer was forgotten and after a friendly reminder from us, two small beers arrived. No problem! We then noticed that there was an older couple sitting at the next table who had been waiting a long time for their dessert. In the end, the gentlemen were no longer so satisfied. Our starter came quite quickly, we had the octopus and the goat cheese and both were delicious! Unfortunately we had to wait 45 minutes for our main courses, which led to a bit of unrest at the table. At another table in the room, the conversations only revolved around the (moderate) service, which unfortunately wasn't good that evening. Overall, the food was tasty, although the quantities were manageable. In terms of price, however, the restaurant is currently in the middle to upper segment (Vienna schnitzel with fries and cucumber salad for €32, 1 glass of red wine (0.1) on average €7). We are aware of the problems and the shortage of skilled workers in the catering industry. We know this ourselves from our professions. We had an evening that was “okay” for us all in one. We used to often spontaneously go to Freemann in the evening with the family and had the feeling that there was good value for money here with good service and good food. Unfortunately, we haven't had this feeling for a while. We might come back again. We would still choose a different location in the future for a special moment.

We were invited to a wedding and all I can say is that it was really nice. The team took great care of us and the food and drinks were outstanding. To this day, it's a mystery to me how the kitchen managed to bring over 30 hot meals to the table at the same time. I can only recommend it for this occasion.

Ate something at a food truck. Food is delicious. However, the person in charge was rude to his guests. He puts the trash can in a tight space so that people have to stand next to it and then he barks at his guests and pushes them aside because he can't reach it.

We have on September 7th. Our wedding was celebrated with a free wedding ceremony and subsequent celebration in the Landhaus Freemann. Everything was great from the start, we knew from the first meeting with Dani that we wanted to celebrate there, they had an idea!! Dani and Uta were great, they implemented everything the way we wanted and were there to help and advise us. Our wedding was simply perfect, we couldn't have imagined it better. Wir hatten heute das Vergnügen – oder eher die Herausforderung – das Landhaus FreeMann zu besuchen. Die Kellner waren durchweg freundlich und nett, was im krassen Gegensatz zur Chefin stand, die offensichtlich einen Crashkurs in unhöflicher Kommunikation absolviert hat. Ein Hoch auf die Servicekräfte, die trotz der unangenehmen Atmosphäre ihr Bestes gegeben haben! Wir bestellten Pasta mit Trüffelsauce, in der Hoffnung auf ein kulinarisches Erlebnis. Doch die Realität war eine andere: Die Pasta war nicht "al dente", wie es sich gehört, sondern kläglich überkocht. Ich ließ mein Gericht in die Küche zurückbringen, weil ich es nicht als Pastatest bestanden hätte. Der Kellner war jedoch so charmant, dass er mir ein Ersatzgericht anbot – ein seltener Lichtblick in einem ansonsten trüben Erlebnis. Kurze Zeit später kam jedoch die Chefin an unseren Tisch und umkreiste uns wie ein Raubtier, das seine Beute wittert. Sie warf uns vor, das Essen probieren zu wollen, ohne dafür zu bezahlen – eine völlig absurde Anschuldigung, die wir freundlich, aber entschieden zurückwiesen. Ihre Unhöflichkeit war einfach beeindruckend! Ein Meisterwerk der Gastunfreundlichkeit. Zum Dessert haben wir die klassische Pavlova bestellt. Was wir erhielten, war ein Gericht, das ganz klar in einer anderen Kategorie spielte – definitiv nicht das, was man sich unter Pavlova vorstellt. Es schmeckte zwar gut, aber lieber Koch, ein kleiner Tipp: Wenn dein Gericht nicht mit dem Namen des Originals übereinstimmt, nenne es doch bitte irgendwie anders. Ein bisschen Kreativität könnte hier Wunder wirken!

I am even giving one star because there is no option of giving in minus. Really pathetic and horrible service. They forgot our order and after one hour when we reminded they again forgot and the manager came and instead of being sorry she was telling oh we are working since morning but all others who came finish their dinner and even left. I would not recommend this place for any event except you are the only there and that’s the only way they don’t forget.

Unser letzter Abend in Düsseldorf war leider bei Freemann ein totaler Reinfall. Das Servicepersonal unfähig, vergesslich und ignorant. Nach 2Std. Wartezeit immer noch kein Hauptgericht bekommen. Daraufhin sind wir „bedient „ gewesen und gegangen. Bei unserem nächsten Besuch in Düsseldorf werden wir uns ein anderes Restaurant auswählen, es gibt ja genug Alternativen.

Wir haben 2 h auf unsere Bestellung gewartet (Pasta, Hühnchen und Schnitzel). Der Service war nachlässig und kümmerte sich nach mehrfacher Nachfrage nicht um unser Essen. Die Chefin hatte nur Ausreden und Erklärungen. Schließlich war das Hühnchen mit dem Gemüse lauwarm und die Kartoffelplätzchen von der übermäßig vielen Sauce durchgeweicht. Das Hühnchen selbst sowie die Joghurtsauce schmeckten sehr gut. Auch Wiener Schnitzel und Pasta waren gut. Unser Freund hat das Restaurant bei Google mit einem Stern bewertet, da er keine 0 geben konnte.

Tolles Ambiente und ein schöner großer Biergarten . Wir wurden aufmerksam und freundlich bedient und die Speisen und Getränke waren durchweg lecker. Wir kommen gerne wieder !

A really nice place to be. The atmosphere in the beer garden is very nice and the tables are spaced enough apart so that you can eat and chat undisturbed without disturbing the neighboring table. The prices are ambitious, but we also offer an extensive and sometimes exclusive cuisine. The service is attentive and always very friendly.

A wonderful place to treat yourself to a delicious meal. The beer garden is great, the service is good. Very nice and accommodating. Despite two wedding celebrations, great service in the catering establishment.

The Landhaus Freeman is a beautiful, elegant location with numerous options, both indoor and outdoor. Ms. Uta Colella's many years of experience allows everything to harmonize perfectly and be customized, making the wedding simply perfect.

Absolute disaster!!!! When we arrived we were asked if we had reserved. Then we were just taken outside without asking whether we wanted to sit inside or outside. The young man asked a colleague for the reservation list and was told: there isn't, we should just sit down somewhere. After a while one of the many young people came and asked for drinks, we ordered the drinks and the food at the same time. As a starter, bread with dip and then 2 Viennese schnitzels. Answer: Bread would always be there. The drinks come, but no bread? When we asked, they brought us bread with the main course, great. The salad only came after I went into the restaurant and asked who had something to say here, answer: no one, but the salad came then and the schnitzels were already cold by that time, thank you. Mayo and ketchup should be included, unfortunately only after further request. Everything was just completely disorganized. Everyone was just running around and no one felt responsible for you. Something like that isn't possible for a restaurant like this with prices like this. We were there for the first and last time.

Anlass des Besuchs war eine größere Feier, zu der ich als Gast eingeladen war. Die Qualität des Essens war durchweg gut. Die Logistik durchweg schlecht. Der Beginn der Feier war um 17.00 Uhr, das Essen begann um 21.15 Uhr, obwohl das Restaurant ansonsten fast leer war. Getränke wurden teilweise serviert, zum Teil mussten sich die Gäste selber um Getränke kümmern.

The food tastes good, but the price/performance ratio is not right. Too little on the plate and excessive prices. At the shooting festival, service from the tenant at the counter was quite rude. Nächstes mal ein anderes Lokal Schade, aber so nicht Die ganze Forelle war wohl auch eher TK als aus dem Schwarzbachtal.

The food was ok, but with the prices napkins like at the snack bar are not possible. Lots of young and unskilled employees, but very friendly. Overall, price/performance is no longer entirely consistent. It used to be better.

Unfortunately we were disappointed yesterday. Waited half an hour until we could order drinks. Service was absolutely overwhelmed and not professional. The dish was poor. Steak gratinated with potatoes and G and W asparagus. The asparagus was a joke. Small pieces with a touch of cheese. Not even asparagus spears. Add salt to the white pieces and woody ones to the green ones. They say that the eye is with you, but not here. The herb sauce was a thick, solid mass and didn't taste good. That was a shame, I was so happy and we were so disappointed.

Lange Wartezeit bis Bestellung aufgenommen wurde. Hätte gerne Spargel mit selbstgemachter veganer Sauce Hollandaise gegessen, da diese nicht im Angebot ist. Für das Aufwärmen dieser Sauce wollte man ein Entgelt von 5€ berechnen. Hallo?Nein Danke, war das erste und letzte Mal dort. Kann ich also nicht empfehlen, das restliche Essen war durchschnittlich.

Young staff seemed very overwhelmed even though there were many free places. Only the third person accompanied us to a table. Potatoes were cold, which shouldn't be the case given the prices. Unfortunately, our expectations were not met despite the beautiful ambience.

Reservierung mit der kompletten Familie zu einem besonderen Anlass. Der angebotene Tisch im Aussenbereich war nicht sauber, einzelne Stühle sogar sehr schmutzig. Bemerkung der Bedienung: das sei nunmal so, man habe halt zu wenig Personal. Na ja, die Stühle haben wir dann selbst getauscht. Der erste negative Eindruck setzte sich in einer Reihe von Servicepannen fort. Die bestellten Getränke wurden serviert, allerdings ohne Gläser. Auf Nachfrage haben wir dann auch Gläser bekommen. Auf die bestellten Hauptgänge haben wir 75 Minuten gewartet. Gerade mit der Familie und einem Kleinkind zeitlich nicht akzeptabel. Dann bekam ein Teil unserer Gruppe das Hauptgericht serviert, mehrere Gerichte fehlten jedoch. Wieder nachgefragt und die Antwort erhalten, das Personal der Küche habe keine Erklärung dafür, man wolle jetzt aber mit der Vorbereitung der noch fehlenden Gerichte beginnen. Nach weitern 15 Minuten wurden die fehlenden Hauptgänge serviert. Eine einzige Enttäuschung. Das was dort lieblos auf den Tellern noch dazu in schlechter Qualität angerichtet war, stellte den negativen Höhepunkt des Abends dar. Fazit: Das war unser letzter Besuch in diesem Restaurant, das gilt für die Familie und auch für geschäftliche Anlässe.

I'm at the food truck in Düsseldorf aquazoo. Get a bottle of water, the employee says €5. If you bring the bottle back you will get a €2 deposit back. She wants to bring the bottle back and gets talked at stupidly. There is no deposit on it. I don't care that it's 2€, but being told lies is not possible. I'm not the only one with this annoyance today either. Employees urgently need to work on their communication.

Even though we arrived an hour before the reservation time, we didn't cause any disturbance among the staff on a sunny Sunday afternoon. We were welcomed with a few quick sayings and shown to a nice table. The whole restaurant is divided into different, visually different areas - the most tempting being the lush beer garden, which we didn't use due to the weather. There is certainly something for everyone on the very colorful menu - the spectrum ranges from Königsberger Klopsen to Persian chicken. Speaking of Persian chicken - marinated in saffron for 48 hours: it could have tasted more intense for my taste. The real hit: fried shrimp on oriental coleslaw, with mint labneh & harissa blood orange sorbet! So, a great early Sunday evening in a lovely atmosphere and great service with delicious food!

We were at Freemann's on Easter Sunday (5 p.m., hardly anything going on). The menu is quite small and manageable, unlike the prices - they are really completely exorbitant. 0.2 liter passion fruit spritzer 4 euros, small spinach salad with two pieces of feta 18 euros, change of side dish 3.50 euros extra and so on. The portions were also quite small. The medium rare steak came completely cooked through, the waiter tried very hard and sent it back to the kitchen. The second attempt worked. Payment with credit card is probably possible but undesirable or strictly rejected, with a bill of 20 euros maybe ok, even if backwoods, but with a bill of 300 euros an absolute no-go in my opinion. The service staff tried very hard and can only implement what the boss tells them, which they emphasized several times. From our point of view: once and never again, there are better addresses at more reasonable prices for an average meal.

Wir haben Gänsekeule mit Rotkohl usw. Für unser Weihnachtsessen bestellt, es war köstlich. Immer wieder gerne und natürlich auch gerne vor Ort.

Die Speisekarte hat immer das gewisse Extra. Schönes Ambiente, netter Service. Ich komme immer wieder gern hierhin.

Gerichte, wie zB „Trüffelpasta mit Pfifferlingen“ wurden ohne Pfifferlinge zubereitet. Dafür komplett versalzen und zu einem sehr stolzen Preis. Die gesamte Belegschaft besteht aus Schülern, die leider entweder überfordert sind oder unmotiviert daherschlurfen. Tische, die später kamen wurden zuerst bedient, etc. Preis/Leistung insgesamt ungenügend.

Eigentlich ein tolles Restaurant (wirklich gut im Sommer, mit Biergarten), leider etwas enttäuschend war der heutige Weihnachtsbrunch. Etwas lieblos, Service war nicht gut, Essen war OK aber nichts besonderes was man sich zu einem Weihnachtsbrunch wünscht. Kaffee dauerte ewig... Keine Weihnachtsmusik oder ähnliches. Buffet war komisch angeordnet. Warmes Essen war leider enttäuschend....das geht deutlich besser.

Sehr laut, essen ist ganz gut. Kellner sind jedoch nur dekorativ da. 1 Std auf den Nachttisch gewartet, in der Zwischenzeit kam einfach niemand.

Sehr gerne hätte ich nur eine Nachricht / Bewertung an das Restaurant geschrieben, aber es stehen einem auf der Homepage vom Restaurant Freemann nur 500 Zeichen zur Verfügung. Das ist leider deutlich zu wenig für meine Beschwerde, deshalb hier nun folgend bei TripAdvisor. -------------- Einen Parkplatz findet man schwierig. Einen Platz für seinen Mantel muss man auch selber finden. Hilfe Fehlanzeige. Bereits die Begrüßung war recht schroff. Der Tisch war für 6 Personen reserviert, leider wurden nur zwei kleine quadratische Tische zusammengeschoben, alles war sehr beengt. Die Speisekarte war übersichtlich, die Preise sind für die Umgebung von Düsseldorf als üblich zu bezeichnen, trotz alledem empfinde ich ein Steak zwischen 31,50 bis 42,50 Euro als recht teuer, denn auch die Größe mit nur 180g ist nicht dem Preis entsprechend. Die Pommes waren keine Pommes, sondern komisch geformte halbschalen aus Kartoffeln, im Hause Freeman wird das "Landhauspommes" genannt. Diese "Landhauspommes" waren weder richtig durchgegart noch waren sie knusprig. Besonders warm waren sie leider auch nicht. Ich habe zu meiner Bestellung einen Gurkensalat erhalten, wollte diesen aber nicht in Anspruch nehmen, einfach weil ich gegen Gurken allergisch bin. Mir wurde dann freundlicherweise ein grüner Blattsalat angeboten, welcher dann aber kein Blattsalat war, sondern ein gemischter Salat - genau - auch MIT GURKEN. Man hört dem Kunden offen sichtlich nicht zu. Katastrophe! Meine Frau hatte sich zwei Vorspeisen ausgesucht, Ihre Hauptspeise "Vitello tonnato" wurde 5 Minuten vor allen anderen Hauptspeisen geliefert. Sie saß also 5 Minuten vor Ihrem Teller. Wir hätten gerne mehr zu trinken bestellt, aber ältere Damen mit kleinem, niedlich angezogenen Hund auf dem Ledersitz werden wohl bevorzugt bedient. So saßen wir über längere Zeiten auf dem Trockenen. Warum dürfen Hunde auf den Ledersitzen platz nehmen? Die "Crème Brûlée" schmeckte wie aus der METRO und war komplett kalt, trotzdem werden 8,90 Euro berechnet. Irgendwie war zu diesem Zeitpunkt schon komplett die Luft raus, der Abend hat einfach keinen Spaß mehr gemacht. Ich wollte dann bezahlen, und weil ich von den hohen Preisen wusste, hatte ich bereits online eruiert (siehe Screenshot von der Homepage), dass man Kontaktlos mit Karte bezahlen kann. Dies war dann auch erst einmal kein Problem, bis ich im Bezahlvorgang von der Kellnerin danach gefragt wurde ob ich mit einer GIRO- oder Kreditkarte bezahlen möchte. Ich sagte dann, dass ich gerne meine Miles & More Kreditkarte benutzen würde, dies wurde dann verweigert, dass Bezahl-Handheld wurde mit dem Hinweis, Zitat: "Das geht nicht, das will der Chef nicht" einfach weggezogen. Ich fragte dann nach, warum dies nicht ginge im Jahr 2023!? Man könne doch inzwischen sogar seine Brötchen beim Bäcker, seinen Einkauf im Supermarkt, einfach alles über seine Kreditkarte kontaktlos bezahlen. Die Kellnerin wurde immer gereizter. Ich solle doch einmal auf die Karte schauen, dort würde es doch schließlich auch stehen. In der Tat, im Footer, gaaaaaaaanz unten auf der Karte steht in kleinerer Schriftgröße geschrieben: "Zahlungsmöglichkeiten: Bar oder mit EC-Karte sonstige Kreditkarten akzeptieren wir ob der hohen Gebühren nicht" (siehe angehängten Screenshot). Nochmals, wir befinden uns im Jahr 2023! Zu erwartende Kosten für das Restaurant Freeman liegen bei ca. 0,89 bis 2,75 Prozent des Rechnungsbetrags. Je nach Anbieter (VISA, MasterCard, American Express und weitere) und Art der Karte (privat oder geschäftlich) fallen etwas höhere Gebühren als beim Einsatz der EC-Karte an. Das Haus Freemann ist also dazu bereit für eine Steak über 40,- Euro zu verlangen, ist aber im Gegenzug nicht dazu bereit, meine Kreditkarte als Zahlungsmittel zu akzeptieren, weil dies ca. 2% von 40,- Euro = -,80 Cent als Gebühr kostet? An der Stelle war ich nun wirklich verärgert! Ich bat dann darum mit dem "Chef" sprechen zu dürfen. Die Kellnerin antwortete lapidar, Zitat: "Der Chef isst gerade zu Abend.". Darauf sagte ich dann, dass ich dem Chef eine Email schreiben würde, was die Dame noch rasender machte. Sie bot erneut in einem deutlich schnippischen Ton an, dass sie den Chef "gerne" holen könne. Daraufhin äußerte ich mein Unwohlsein, und dass es doch kein Grund ist so mit einem Kunden / Gast zu sprechen. Sie sagte dann daraufhin, Zitat: "Wer hat denn damit angefangen? WOW! Hier stinkt der Fisch offensichtlich vom Kopf her. Was hatten wir also zu erwarten, als eine weitere, unnötige Diskussion über zu hohe Kreditkartengebühren. Spätestens zu diesem Zeitpunkt hatten wir alle KEINE Lust mehr weiter zu diskutieren oder weiter Zeit in diesem Etablissement zu verbringen. Wir haben dann zusammen gelegt und in Bar bezahlt, und genau das ist es wohl, worauf der "Chef" aus ist. Bargeld! Wie sagt man so schön: "Nachtigall, ick hör dir trapsen" Fazit: Das Essen war durchschnittlich, genau wie der Service. Mir als Gast ist es auch nicht erlaubt, die Verweigerung einer Bezahlmöglichkeit zu kritisieren. Man wird dann gemobbt und schlecht behandelt. Unsere Freunde gingen regelmäßig ins Freemann essen, wir waren zum zweiten Mal dort, aber nun werden wir alle nicht mehr wiederkommen. So verliert man Kunden!

Trotz vollem Haus toller Service, das Essen war sehr lecker und wir haben mit 18 Personen innerhalb von 5 Minuten unser Essen zusammen serviert bekommen! Klasse

Wir haben im September bei Uta und Ciro unsere Hochzeit mit ca. 90 Gästen gefeiert. Die Planung und Vorgespräche mit Daniela, Uta und Ciro liefen rund und die Treffen waren sehr hilfreich. Es wurde auf den Wunsch eingegangen, rein vegetarische oder vegane Speisen anzubieten, beim Flying am Nachmittag sowie auch fürs am Tisch servierte Essen (gesetztes Menü) am Abend. Auch die Frage nach Unverträglichkeiten wurde vorab gestellt und bestmöglich darauf eingegangen. Unseren Vorstellungen von der Veranstaltung wurde zu 100% entsprochen (selbst oder über das Landhaus Freemann engagierte Dienstleister, Deko innen und außen [sehr schön wunschgemäß und nachhaltig von Uta hergestellt; wir konnten die Sträußchen sogar am nächsten Tag mit nach Hause nehmen], Speisen, Getränke) und das Feedback unserer Gäste war sehr positiv. Für unseren Photographen konnten wir gar eine Leiter organisieren. Auch auf eine Rückfrage unsererseits zu einem Posten auf der Rechnung wurde professionell kundenorientiert eingegangen und eine Lösung gefunden. Die Nähe zum Schlosspark ist zudem für Hochzeitsphotos perfekt. Daß bei vollem Gastrobetrieb (und einer großen Festgesellschaft) vlt. mal Kleinigkeiten passieren, daß z. B. Getränke nicht "schnell genug" am Tisch ankommen, ist wahrlich zu verkraften :). Unsere Sorge, unsere Gäste könnten sich zu sehr mit dem öffentlichen Betrieb mischen, erwies sich als unbegründet und wir hatten trotz offenem Biergarten eine private, intime Feier im Kreis unserer Freund:innen und Familien. Alles in allem war es ein gelungener Tag und wir sind froh, das Landhaus Freemann ausgewählt zu haben. Man merkt Ciro und Uta an, daß sie auf eine laaange Gastroerfahrung zurückgreifen können. Dankeschön ans Team 👏. Das Gemecker hier bei Google kann ich nicht nachvollziehen. Daß in einer solchen Gegend der Nachbarschaft zuliebe bei einer Feier die Türen und Fenster geschlossen werden müssen, ist 100% korrekt und sinnvoll. Unstimmigkeiten mit dem Service (einige haben ja auch sehr richtig erkannt, daß die Branche es seit geraumer Zeit sehr schwer hat bzgl. Personal) oder den Eigentümern klärt man doch auch lieber persönlich direkt vor Ort, anstatt frustriert später im Internet eh nichts mehr daran ändern zu können. Nur so lassen sich Lösungen finden.

Wie kann man eine Beerdigungsgruppe trotz Reservierung in der Kälte stehen lassen. Wenn es nach den Mitarbeitern gegangen wäre hätten wir ca 30 Minuten bei Minusgraden vor der Türe warten müssen. Man sollte meinen wenn es um einen Kaffee nach der Beisetzung geht handelt es sich um alte Menschen, wie in diesem Fall. Aber das war den Mitarbeitern scheinbar egal nach 15 Minuten dürften wir durchgefroren endlich rein Unfassbar

Die Location ist sehr schön. Das Essen war eher durchwachsen. Auch die Getränke. Leider. Preis-Leistung ist leider nicht gut. Und das (sehr junge) Personal war bei vollem Haus wirklich sehr überfordert. Getränke wurden an falsche Tische geliefert, teils sehr spät, teils gar nicht.

Waren zum Gänse Essen dort.Sehr lecker und gute Portion. Nachteil wir hatten eine große Hütte, Service hätte etwas besser sein können. Aber alles in allem, ein schöner Abend

Schönes Ambiente. Man hat das Gefühl gut aufgehoben zu sein. Wir haben nichts gegessen, sondern nur den kleinen Weihnachtsmarkt besucht. Der war ganz nett weil hauptsächlich von kleinen Handwerken beschickt. Nichts wirklich Außergewöhnliches, aber irgendwie knuffig.

Sehr freundlicher und umsichtiger Service, alle Gerichte bei uns sehr lecker (Gänsekeule, Sauerbraten, Forelle) und trotz der guten Auslastung des Restaurants keine übermäßig langen Wartezeiten, weder auf Getränke noch auf das Essen. Sehr gut. Wegen der Beliebtheit ist generell Tischreservierung empfehlenswert. Die Räumlichkeiten sind auch für größere Veranstaltungen geeignet. Ein Parkplatz ist vorhanden.
