We've been here dozens of times and are usually very satisfied. The food is always delicious! Unfortunately, the slightest criticism is repeatedly met with dismissiveness, which I find truly unfortunate and anything but appreciative or service-oriented. Today was our first visit this year, and since our son wanted ice cream, we asked for it. It wasn't on the menu, so we didn't know the price. We got a total of five mini scoops, which we ate, of course. At the next opportunity, we paid and asked how much the ice cream cost, as the scoops were very small. They told us €1.50 and replied that they should have spoken up immediately so we could find a solution. I don't understand why it was too late to bring this up? If they had wanted to find a solution, this would have been the right moment. Especially since we didn't know the price beforehand, so we couldn't judge the value for money! It might have been okay for €1 per scoop. The bill even showed €2 (!) per scoop. I took a photo of this next to the ice cream scoop – judge for yourself whether our comment was justified. As we left, they added that silence wouldn't make us or them any wiser. Sorry, we didn't remain silent, and we didn't get anything out of it except a bad taste in our mouths.

We wanted to order a table on the terrace by phone. We were informed that they do not accept reservations for the terrace. On site we found that many tables were occupied and the rest of the tables were reserved. Even though the reservation was an hour later, we weren't allowed to drink coffee. When I asked the boss about it, she complained that work morale was bad and she couldn't provide more tables. The guests at the surrounding tables were also asked to prevent anyone from sitting down. Afterwards we went to the Neuses ice cream parlor and were served in a friendly and courteous manner. Although it was extremely busy

We were there for the first time and felt very comfortable. The atmosphere is beautiful and tastefully decorated. The food is very good and the staff is very attentive and friendly. We are already looking forward to our next visit

We have been there again for over 10 years. I have to say I remembered the place as very rustic. There can be no more talk of that. The offerings have also been adapted to the new facility, and the drinks and dishes are correspondingly expensive. The service was very good, always friendly, very good with children. We all had pizzas, which both the kids and we really enjoyed. Crispy dough, nice fluffy edge, topped just right. Top! There are deductions from our side for a playground that cannot be used because it is currently closed. Some devices probably need to be overhauled. He was actually the reason we ended up here that evening, so the disappointment was huge. The tiramisu was too creamy for us, not moist enough and didn't contain enough mascarpone, but it was beautifully presented. I think it's "courageous" not to offer general card payment given the offer and the prices. With dry aged specialties starting at €37.50 per portion, it's a mystery to me who still carries such amounts of cash with them these days. Especially when you hike. The view is of course phenomenal. Nevertheless, we had a nice and pleasant evening. Update 2025: Playground playable again but partly not usable.

We have been there several times and have always been satisfied. Today February 14th (Valentine's Day 2025) we were unfortunately very disappointed. A week ago I reserved the table by phone and I wasn't told that there would be a themed evening with a limited menu, at least that's what I know from other restaurants. On a positive note, it should be mentioned that the decoration was very nice and in keeping with the theme of Valentine's Day. When we arrived at the table, we were presented with the menu. When we asked if only these dishes were available, we were told that there were only the dishes listed there and that the starters could not be canceled, only the dessert was optional. My girlfriend and I were a bit surprised because we had of course already been looking forward to the dishes we had selected from the online menu. We briefly considered leaving again, but out of decency and because we didn't feel like worrying about anything else to eat, we stayed (incidentally, we noticed that other guests felt the same way and some of them also left). Unfortunately we had to ask different waitresses three times to pay until we could pay. The food was good but just not what we had imagined for that evening. All in all, I can't avoid giving this evening 2 stars. We will still come back because the food is always good, but we will probably avoid Fernblick in the future on Valentine's Day.

Small, expensive portions. Absolutely no special taste experience. The service staff and the hosts don't seem motivated either. Customer friendliness is different.. The locals (including us) know why the visit is not worth it

Pro: Ambiance and view Cons: I was really disappointed with the food. A rump steak medium tough like leather. As a starter, black tiger prawns which turned out to be tiny prawns were an absolute disgrace for the price. Then the head waiter shits on the nice temp right at the table, simply impossible. Unfortunately no recommendation, we won't be coming back!

Just good! We really like the atmosphere, especially when you can sit on the terrace under one of the many olive trees and watch the sunset. But even when the weather isn't great, you can still sit inside. Yesterday I had pork belly on sweet and spicy lentils... A poem! But you can also enjoy the other dishes on the menu. An absolute recommendation.

After years of abstinence, it was time to eat here again. It definitely wasn't a wrong decision. Everyone at the table was so happy. Top selection on the map. Superbly prepared and presented. The service is natural, friendly and competent. The ambience surprising. P.s. the toilets are also very clean. It's worth taking a look into the distance from the terrace and from the parking lot, even in the dark. Note: I'm usually reserved. But everything worked out for me here.

Not recommended, waiting 45 minutes for a simple pasta dish and overpriced.

After 3 years we gave the restaurant another chance. I remembered that the portions were quite small. The ambience is and remains really nice, the food is of very good quality. Unfortunately the portions are far too small for me. I'm willing to spend money on quality, no question about it, I just want to be full. The Iberico cutlet for €23.90 with rosemary potatoes and a bowl of salad was tasty and good quality (maybe take it down 3 minutes earlier). I would have liked a salad that was larger (mine was the size of a larger coffee cup) and not just five quarters of a potato in terms of the filling side dish. The pumpkin and coconut soup was also very tasty. The service was attentive and friendly. The drinks were good (cellar beer could have been a little colder). So far everything is good and certainly very suitable for spending a nice evening with the person you love, but unfortunately it's different...

Food, service and view first class!

Unfortunately, the food was very dry and didn't have much taste. I hope it was an isolated case, the others enjoyed it.

A beautiful location with a really great view. You quickly feel at home on the upper terrace between olive trees and oleanders. Everything inside is also very tastefully and stylishly furnished. When it came to service, we noticed that they were being paid for friendliness, because it wasn't convincing / we had reserved with 8 people, unfortunately 2 canceled, and then the waiter immediately initiated a renovation, even though we were all already seated, and gave the one table back Put it away and the six of us sat at a table for four on a half-empty terrace / The menu was carelessly thrown onto the table. The food was OK although the price/performance ratio wasn't really right here. The steak we ordered wasn't very good in terms of the quality of the meat and a schnitzel Parmigiani definitely looks different than what came. Pizza was good (but an Italian should be able to do that too)

Went there with a larger group and enjoyed the great atmosphere. However, the food was very poor for expensive money. Schnitzel and beef strips (if they were found in the salad) were tough and not edible. The children's schnitzels consisted only of fat and gristle. The service was anything but attentive. Very unfortunate...

No points of criticism, the atmosphere was beautiful, the service was friendly and accommodating, we were asked several times whether everything was ok and whether we had any further requests. The food was delicious and the waiting time was reasonable, the price/performance ratio was good. Gladly again.

The starter (soft bread and baguette with a yoghurt garlic cream) arrived after an hour. We waited in vain for two hours for the food, while food was already being served around us, even though people had ordered after us. After two hours without food being served we left. Of course there was a lot of drinking while we waited, but the waitress only noticed us after several waves and shouts. It would probably not be a problem to refuse guests if the capacity is full. Other guests waited in vain for 20 minutes for a waiter to order drinks and also left. When we complained, we were told that we were the only guests who were dissatisfied. There was a sign on site that said “No debit card payments”. After the mood changed, it was also possible to pay by card without any problems... The aperitif and wines as well as the starter were politely taken off the bill and we only paid for the remaining drinks. The last time we ate at Fernblick, the waiting time for the food was very long despite there being little crowd and the pizza base was burnt. That was the very last time we ate here. Not recommended!

The food was delicious but we, 12 people, had to wait 30 minutes to order before we were told we would like something more to drink. Then another 10 minutes until we had the drinks. When billing, I asked whether there would be 2 schnapps for the long waiting time. Lt. The boss would have given her something but because she asked, there was nothing. On the bill, the schnapps drunk beforehand was not in the system. The boss didn't want to charge us for this. People asked whether that was true and were told by the boss: I just explained something to them! Sorry, that doesn't work at all!!! As nice as the evening was, this unemphathetic, unfriendly, didactic manner towards the guest is not acceptable at all!!! I will advertise this house, but definitely not in a positive way! An etiquette seminar for this person would be appropriate!

We've eaten out several times now and it's always tasted good. A good selection of dishes and creative cuisine.

The service was very unfriendly. The food could have been good but unfortunately I got microwaved noodles in a portion that wouldn't be enough for an infant The view was distant... Funny. Only over 80 grannies are served. Unfortunately I had to jump off the tower after eating because my inner voices became too loud. Thanks for the bad service

One thing in advance, the scenery and the view are absolutely beautiful, 5 stars for that. The food didn't convince us and the prices certainly didn't. Starter platter for 4 people 50, - (!), a few things on it - counted. The steak meat for 3 people (1 x 600 g and 1 x 400 g) ended up being maybe 180 max. 200 g of meat for each person), the noodles were cold and the portions were very small. The six of us paid over 400 euros and it wasn't worth it at all. None of us were full so we went home and cooked ourselves something.

Unique view over the Kinzigtal and the Ronneburg hills, the Odenwald low mountain ranges (at the very edge), Taunus, Vogelsberg and Spessart. Here restaurateurs can learn about service, customer friendliness, organization, quality, etc. Haven't been there in a while, but it's just as good as it was years ago. Simply top!!

Everything just fits here. The location and view are fantastic, the service is excellent and the food is delicious. We all got our money's worth. Portion sizes not too big and not too small. Everything tasted great. We'd love to come back.

We came here spontaneously by bike. Great view from the large terrace. Pizza was well done. The pepperoni sausage on it wasn't quite to my taste and had a too sour note, but it was ok. The squid arms with the pea puree were really good, the baguette with it was really hard and dry, you couldn't eat it and left it lying there. I was happy that I could help myself to the neighbor's pizza to satisfy my hunger. After almost everyone had finished eating, we were brought salt and pepper (?!?). When we checked out we were asked if everything was tasty. In the interest of improving a few things in the future, we mentioned that the baguette was rock hard. Answer: only came this morning from the Italian restaurant (hm ok, were we wrong and the bread couldn't have been hard and dry?! Probably our mistake). When ordering the burger we asked if the meat should be fried medium. That's how we wanted it to be. It came through completely. It still tasted good but as I said it wasn't medium for a long time. When we said this in a very friendly manner and also added that it was still tasty, the man turned around and simply left without comment... I personally found that quite disrespectful after paying.

Food great, staff mostly friendly

Hinter dem Namen eines Ausflugslokals verbirgt sich in Wirklichkeit ein sehr guter und vor allem authentischer Italiener. Sehr coole location, der Ausblick von der riesigen Terrasse ist genial, allerdings die Speisekarte überzeugt noch viel mehr. Leckere Pasta-Gerichte, eine perfekte Pizza, aber auch ein bisschen fine-dining ist möglich. Dry aged Steaks vom feinsten werden ebenfalls angeboten. Sommelier Heiko berät über die gute Weinauswahl, am besten sind aber die eigenen Weine vom Weinberg in Michelbach. Ganz aktuell: Chef Fabio kreiert jetzt auch einen eigenen Gin. Ich bin inzwischen Überzeugungstäter und kann dieses Lokal nur weiterempfehlen.

Finding such a beautiful restaurant in the middle of the forest is great and then the beautiful view on the outdoor terrace means there is a small playground for kids :) The waiters are very friendly It's best to see for yourself.

Very modern, chic and high quality furnishings. Solid atmosphere. Friendly and competent employees. Here the boss is in charge and it shows. Sitting on the terrace with a distant view is also very comfortable and cozy. This is very large for probably more than 100 guests. The food (sharp fillet) was excellent, as was the red wine. There are also parking spaces just in front of the restaurant. Attention: On the day we were there you could only pay in cash

Everything is always great with you. Unfortunately, the last time we walked to you was free. Google says you open at 11 a.m.... Actually, it probably doesn't open until 12 p.m. I was really annoyed about that

The ambience and service were great, great restaurant, great view. Unfortunately the food wasn't that special. The salad was good but extremely small. Unfortunately the schnitzel was very dry and firm. The fries, well they were just fries. To go out for a drink, great... food, well our table wasn't that enthusiastic.

We stopped here for the first time today during a hike. We were greeted warmly and served. We were treated in a very child-friendly manner. That was great. The drink prices are quite reasonable. The dishes we ordered were delicious, but the portions (normal dishes and children's portions) could have been a little larger given the prices quoted. Other guests who came to the restaurant well after us received their food far before us. The playground was cordoned off, although it was not clear why. In my opinion, the big drawback is that card payments are not possible because you don't have large amounts of cash with you when hiking.

Ware gestern das erste Mal in dem Restaurant (Geburtstag von einer Freundin) war so schlecht gewesen. Vor kurzem waren meine Freundin dort mit 2 Hunde alles inordnung gestern ging es nicht .Rumpsteak von meiner Freundin war so schlechtes Fleisch das es nicht zu essen ging weil viel Fett für ein Rumpsteak total ungenießbar. Dann zum Schluss das beste meine Freundin hat noch mal nachgefragt wegen den Hunde und wegen dem Rumpsteak beim bezahlen, hat als Antwort bekommen sie soll nicht mehr kommen. Super Antwort wenn man was fragt .Werde dieses Restaurant nie mehr betreten oder empfehlen. Denn so was ist mir in meinem Leben noch nie passiert, und solle Restaurant sollte lieber geschlossen bleiben wenn sie keine Kritik vertragen können. Deshalb würde ich jedem empfehlen wo anderes zu gehen wo man noch freundliche bedient wird und als Gast angesehen wird und nicht als nur jedem den man so beleidigen kann.

We two married couples stopped by yesterday after a hike and were totally positively surprised by the great service, very attentive but not intrusive, by the very stylish and cozy atmosphere and of course by the food and the selected wines. We felt completely at home, thank you again for that and please keep it up and we will definitely come back.

Corona bedingt haben wir den Lieferservice in Anspruch genommen. Das Essen kam super pünktlich und richtig heiß an. Einmal hatten wir Lachs und das nächste Mal Ente. Es war beides ganz hervorragend 👍🏼 Der Lachs ein Gedicht und die Kartoffeln waren die besten, die ich seit langem gegessen habe. Die Ente war echt riesig und sowas von lecker, dazu gab es selbst gemachtes Rotkraut und Klöße. Wir freuen uns, wenn der Lockdown wieder rum ist und wir wieder zu Euch kommen können...! 29.06.2022: Endlich wieder auf der tollen Terrasse sitzen, lecker essen und den Ausblick genießen - herrlich! 26.12.2023 Wir hatten Plätze reserviert für das Abendessen. Obwohl es brechend voll war kam das Essen sehr flott 👍🏼 Tortellini von der Tagesempfehlung sehr lecker 😋 👍🏼

Keine Frage, die Lage ist 5 Sterne. Das Essen ist meistens gut, aber in hektischen Zeiten wurden auch schon öfters Sachen zu lange im Ofen gelassen und dann trotzdem noch, reichlich angebrannt, serviert. Stil und Verläßlichkeit zählen eben auch. In einer Öffnungsphase zu Corona war ich dort auf einem 80sten Geburtstag als Gast. Die Bedienung stolperte über einen Schirmfuß und goß der Jubilarin ein Getränk direkt in den Schoß. Die Bedienung schimpfte dann über den Schirm, Ihren schlechten Tag etc. - ohne sich beim Gast zu entschuldigen. Das kam erst 5 Minuten später mit dem neuen Getränk, welches vom Lokal dann gratis war. Nicht so das Essen der Jubilarin inkl. eines Coronazuschlages für Desinfektionsmittel. Man erklärte sich auch bereit die Reinigungskosten zu übernehmen - gegen Vorlage einer Quittung. Die müsste man dann halt bringen. Nun eine Reservierung für eine Klassenfeier, Monate im Voraus - mit der Bitte um einen separierten Bereich. Diesen Termin 3 Wochen vorher noch einmal unaufgefordert bestätigt. Dann 2 Stunden vorher ein Anruf der Chefin, sie habe jetzt noch kurzfristig eine Hochzeitsgesellschaft angenommen, die Klassenfeier sitzt jetzt auf der Terrasse (für die man nicht reservieren kann). Wohlbemerkt: Mitteilung, nicht Frage. Das Wetter trocken und sonnig, aber stellenweise auch kühl. Und nicht jede/r hat automatisch noch eine Jacke gegen den Wind dabei. Dann anscheinend noch ein übles Betriebsklima was vor den Gästen ausgetragen wird: No go. Ironie der Sache: ich wollte vor Ort noch eine Private- sowie eine Firmenfeier organisieren. Das geht jetzt nach Rodenbach... Lage ist halt auch nicht alles.

Sehr schönes Lokal, mit sehr gutem Essen. Das Personal ist freundlich und bietet auch zusätzliche Gerichte an außerhalb der Karte.

Super Service und sehr schmackhafte Küche. Dazu ein Ausblick in die Natur. Wir hatten ein 3gängiges Gänsemenü für 4 Personen für 179€ inkl. eine Flasche guten Rotwein. Da ich kein Marzipan im Dessert mag hat der Service ohne nachzufragen eine Creme Brulee gebracht. Service daher 6 Sterne

Sehr schönes Ausflugslokal und nette Location um einfach gut zu Essen.

Wir hatten die Weinprobe mit inkludiertem 4-Gänge-Menü für 89 Euro pro Person gebucht. Das Lokal ist kein Ausflugslokal, sondern ein wirklich geschmackvoll und modern eingerichtetes Lokal, das italienische und deutsche Küche anbietet. Das Essen war qualitativ top, der Sommelier war redselig, hatte aber sehr gute Kenntnisse, die Weinauswahl sehr gut. Der Wermutstropfen ergab sich leider, da ein 4-Gänge-Menü beworben wurde, es aber nur ein 3-Gänge-Menü gab. Als dies angesprochen wurde, reagierte man erst ungläubig, dann überrascht. Der Preis blieb gleich, eine Entschuldigung oder eine andere angemessene Reaktion gab es leider nicht. Das war leider unprofessionell.

Das Schnitzel war schon klein :( vom Geschmack her war es aber sehr gut.

Ganz tolle Gaststätte, ganz tolles Ambiente, sehr nettes Personal insgesamt sehr hochwertig rundum. Leider das Essen ist nur Durchschnitt. Es fehlt einfach der i-Tupf, der diese Gaststätte wirklich komplettieren würde.

Sommer 2021: Die Location ist ein Traum, das Lokal macht seinem Namen alle Ehre. Der Service war topp. Da es für uns die zweite Einkehr des Tages war, bestellten wir uns lediglich Gambas in Knoblauchöl. Da fanden wir es sehr nett, dass uns der Kellner anbot, ein zweites Besteck mitzubringen. Das selbst gebackene Brot zu den Gambas war köstlich, leider waren die Meeresfrüchte selbst etwas geschmacklos. Im Hinblick auf das köstliche Eis (aus einer kleinen Eismanufaktur in Mömbris), den Topp Service und der tollen Location habe ich mich dennoch für 5 Sterne entschieden. Wir kommen wieder. Nachtrag Oktober 2023: Zwischenzeitlich waren wir noch zwei weitere Male hier, aber leider konnte uns die Küche bisher nicht überzeugen. Die Gambas schmecken immer noch nicht und sowohl der Caesar Salat als auch der Pulpo Salat waren von der Zubereitung her recht langweilig. Der Service war nach wie vor vorbildlich und ist sehr gut mit unserer Reklamation bezüglich der mangelnden Qualität der Gambas umgegangen 👌. Aufgrund der tollen Lage und des guten Service werden wir hier sicherlich noch mal herkommen und hoffen dann auch in den Genuss eines richtig gutes Mittagessens zu kommen.

Der Ausblick ist schon toll, auch das Essen und die Bedienung sind einfach super. Wir waren jetzt schön öfter da und wurden nicht enttäuscht. Es lohnt sich Fernblick einmal zu besuchen.

Ist das beste bis jetzt, was ich im Umkreis vom Ambiente, Service und das was auf dem Teller bekommen haben, toll, ohne wenn und aber vom Herzen weiter empfehlen und das Eis zum Schluß war das i Tüpfelchen. Und das Wetter am Sonntag war sehr schön.

Was für ein toller Abend Sonnenuntergang wie aus'm Bilderbuch und das mit der Aussicht, allein die Fernsicht war den Weg wert. Gutes Essen und Service machen das ganze dann komplett, wer nicht mal hin fährt verpasst echt was.

Durchgestylte Großgastronomie ohne Wärme und Seele mit gleichgültiger, amateurhafter Bedienung, die kaum ein Wort Deutsch spricht. Trotzdem gehe ich gerne hin. Aber nur in den Außenbereich: Man sitzt dort traumhaft. Die Aussicht ist glücklicherweise unzerstörbar und kaum zu toppen. Pizza war ok. Mehr würde ich mich dort jedoch nicht trauen.

Sehr Gutes Essen Und ein wahnsinnig schöner Fernblick

Leider wurden wir als 4er Gruppe nicht beachtet. Der Service war katastrophal, wir wurden nach über 30 min nach den Getränken gefragt, jedoch ging der Kellner direkt weiter, da wir gefühlte 3 Sekunden gezögert haben. Nach 50 Minuten wurden Speisen und Getränke aufgenommen. Das Essen war ganz okay, jedoch fehlte es an Würze. Wir kommen definitiv nicht wieder. 2 1/2 Std haben wir dort verbracht und wurde genau 1x bedient. Ansonsten ignoriert. Service eigentlich 0 Sterne

Das Essen war gut und die Aussicht ist einfach toll. Würde ich wieder hin gehen, um noch mehr von der Speicherkarte zu probieren.

Erst ein "normaler Besuch" zum Abendessen, danach ein weiterer Besuch zum ersten Weinfest ein paar Tage später, zum ersten Weinfest den sie hatten. BEIDES war absolut SUPER ! Das Weinfest wollen sie weiterhin jedes Jahr machen, und ich kann es nur empfehlen ! Speisen waren total toll und sehr gut zubereitet. Service war sehr, sehr herzlich, freundlich und aufmerksam. Bitte immer, und immer wieder.

Mhmm gute Frage, Eigentlich war ein Abendessen geplant 🙁😳 Tisch reserviert 🙏✅ Super 🙏😃 & danke 👍👍 schönes Ambiente … aber hier ist ein „Weinfest😰“ … ?! 🤷‍♂️ Bretzel, Spundeköse, Bratwurst, Flammkuchen, Käsewürfel 😃, sowie 4 weitere Snaks 🫣… Aber wir haben doch Hunger 😰😰 4 Getränke geholt Vorkasse 29,20 Euro bez. ( 2 Bier ) & 2 Lilet 📛 mit Abholung SB Theke .. Mhmm ok - 😬 schnell noch 1 Flammkuchen bestellt … aber erst bezahlen sagt die Bedienung am Tisch 🙁🙁 9,- dafür aber lecker … Resultat : abhauen nach 15 - 20 min Traurig !! Naja … mal kurz woanders einen Tisch bestellt 🙈🙊🙉 und hoffentlich gibts da auch „Abendessen“ Positiv - wir kommen nach gefühlten 8-10 Jahren trotzdem wieder 😃😃 weil das Ambiente wirklich toll ist …

Super Blick und tolles Essen - von der kleinen Pizza bis zum dry aged Entrecote

Aufgetaute Fertigschnitzel und auf Beschwerde wurde beleidigt reagiert, ansonsten sehr schön gelegen, Pizza und Pasta in Ordnung

Das Essen war gut - Parmesan Schnitzel bestellt. Der Beilagensalat hatte allerdings ein Dressing, dass man eher von der Metro kennt, da kann man mit wenig Arbeit besseres selbst herstellen. Unterm Strich versucht man sich in Exklusivität muss aber noch an den Details feilen. Die Kartenzahlung war an diesem Tag ausgefallen, deswegen der Sterneabzug beim Service. Die Aussicht ist Großartig und die Einrichtung ist schön gemacht. Man fühlt sich direkt wohl.
