Well, the designated beef fillet on my grill plate was at best a piece of beef rump and that for the price.

The Löwe in Altenmittlau is a very well-known address for delicious, home-style food and is reasonably priced. The portions are large and for older people I recommend ordering “senior portions”. The waitresses are always very friendly and customer-oriented.

For today's meeting we chose the restaurant "Zum Löwen" and are completely satisfied with the choice. A lovely atmosphere (decorated for Christmas) and friendly service staff spoiled us at lunchtime. The food and especially my dish of the day (cutlet, boiled potatoes with cauliflower in cream sauce) were excellent. Thanks to the attached butcher shop, the quality of the meat is of course top. When it comes to the price/performance ratio, all thumbs up 👍👍. I would like to have a restaurant like this in my town.

Great restaurant with top service staff, great meat quality and very good workmanship. The (very large) rump steak was perfectly medium rare (didn't lag) and was super tender. Fried potatoes and beans as well as the fried onions were well prepared and seasoned. The lion pan was also spotless. Very tender, juicy pork medallions with vegetables (not too soft, nice bite) and fried potatoes. The portions are more than generous and the prices are absolutely reasonable. Keep it up!

We were served in a friendly and attentive manner. The food was home-style and plentiful. The outdoor seating area is on the main street, but is well screened. All in all very nice. We'll be back

So the food there is very tasty but according to the internet the opening times are "Open" when you go there and "Closed". That's why there are 2 stars less. And that was the third time like that.

If you can stop off spontaneously after a walk and still receive a warm welcome despite the high number of guests, then you've come to the right place. The food was so delicious, salad, freshly picked, with fresh herbs in the homemade sauce, with gourmet schnitzel and fries. If you love a good schnitzel, you should stop by there.

The meatloaf was not/hardly seasoned and was only lukewarm. The third dish only came when the first two had almost finished eating. My potatoes were initially forgotten and were added later. Positive: The side salad was delicious. The service tried hard and was very friendly. A home-style restaurant.

Nevertheless, traditional cuisine lives here and the price-performance ratio is right. We'd love to come back again.

Classic German! Top address, super nice service.

The food was very tasty (schnitzel and rump steak with salad and fries). That's where you notice the craftsmanship. Rarely have we had such good schnitzel. Service friendly and quick. Guest room nicely done and comfortable to sit in. It was a bit noisy because it was very crowded. That's just how it is when you, as a restaurateur, have a very good offer. We'll be back, as will probably the other guests.

Wir waren schon mehrmals da. Essen sehr lecker, der Service war sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend. Preisleistungsverhältnis passt. Der angrenzende Saal ist leider nicht so gemütlich wie das Lokal.

Wir hatten ein Jäger-und Pfefferrahmschnitzel.Was mir sehr gefallen hat,das die Beilage,Pommes,in eine extra Schale, gute 2 Portion extra gestellt wurde. Das Essen war gut,geschmacklich(aber Geschmäcker sind hat verschieden) Salat war auch dabei.Preis Leistung TOP.Speisekarte leckere Gerichte drauf ,muß wiederkommen ,zum probieren.Personal sehr nett und aufmerksam.Allem in allen..sehr Empfehlenswert.

Sehr gute Portionen, aber es werden auch Seniorenteller angeboten. Für die Kleinen gibt es den Räuberteller. Der ist kostenlos und die Kinder können von den Eltern etwas abhaben. Sehr gute Idee für die kleinen Gäste.

Um es kurz zu machen, wer wirklich gutes deutsches Essen zu einem fairen Preis, guten Portionen und was dazu noch handwerklich richtig gut gemacht ist sucht, der ist hier goldrichtig. Leckere Beilagensalate super Schnitzel und dazu noch wirklich extrem, aufmerksame und sehr nette und sympathische Mädels im Service. Hier stimmt einfach alles.

Hallo, Ich war zum erstenmal hier geladen auf einer Hochzeitsfeier im Löwen. Hier hatte ich die Gelegenheit ein sehr schmackhaftes Buffet zu genießen. Auch der Service am Tisch war ununterbrochen Aufmerksam und super freundlich. Auch die reguläre Speicherkarte scheint viel versprechend. Was ich aber gerne in kürze noch näher in Augenschein nehme. 😀

Leider nach langer Wartezeit (1,5 Std.) ein Schnitzel mit wässriger Rahmsosse erhalten. Beilagensalat war lecker, die Pommes gut aber sehr wenig.

Das Essen war super gut und echt üppig. Nette und freundliche Bedienung. Atmosphäre sehr relaxed und angenehm. Waren dort für eine Geburtstagsfeier. Ein sehr gelungener Abend. Jeder war begeistert vom Essen, dem freundlichen Service. Gerne wieder!

Wir waren am Samstag zum Abendessen. Es war eine sehr angenehme Atmosphäre, sehr freundliche Bedienung und vor allem sehr schmackhaftes,reichliches Essen zu guten Preisen. Alle 7 Personen waren sehr zufrieden. Wir kommen wieder.

2 Pfefferrahmschnitzel mit Pommes und Salat zum abholen bestellt. Essen war wie pünktlich fertig. Service super nett. Schnitzel Groß und super lecker. Salat top! Gerne wieder 👍🏼

... mit angedockter Metzgerei! Leider habe ich in letzter Zeit den Verdacht, dass bei Gerichten mit Geflügel ( Salat mit Geflügelstreifen ) Geschmacksverstärker eingesetzt werden, das haben mir mein Magen und Darm verraten ... Und leider ist das Lokal noch immer so überlaufen und dann auch laut, dass man sich unter der Woche hier einfinden sollte, für die Wochenenden sind oft 5 - 6 Tage Vorreservierung nötig.

Ich bin kurzfristig mit meiner Mutter am Donnerstag zum Mittagstisch ohne Reservierung eingekehrt und bekam Gott sei Dank, trotz vollem Gastraums, noch einen Platz in der Gaststätte zugeteilt. Ich muss den Vorverfassern Recht geben, der angrenzende "große Saal" ist echt ungemütlich gestaltet und lädt optisch auch nicht zum Verweilen ein. Wir bekamen vom Servicepersonal zeitnah die normale, die Pfifferling- und die Tageskarte ausgehändigt. Wir entschieden uns für ein gefülltes Putenfleischschnitzel mit Röstis an einer Sahnesoße mit Champions und gemischtem Beilagesalat für 8€. Das Fleisch war saftig, das Essen warm und frisch zubereitet. Alles im Allem sehr lecker! Fazit: Preis/ Leistungsverhältnis top. Parkplätze sind in der gegenüberliegenden Straße zu finden. Es wurde bar bezahlt. Die eigene Metzgerei ist nebendran. Wir kommen unter der Woche gerne wieder...

Also am Wochenende ist ziemlich viel los, was sich auf die Wartezeit aufs Essen auswirken kann....Das Personal ist sehr freundlich und bemüht alle Wünsche zu erfüllen. Durch die hauseigene Metzgerei ist die Fleischqualität hervorragend. Das Preis- Leistungsverhältnis ist absolut in Ordnung. Auch während der Woche wird Mittagstisch angeboten, wovon auch rege Gebrauch gemacht wird, vorwiegend von Senioren/innen. Wir gehen eigentlich gerne mal hin, allerdings bevorzugen wir Sitzplätze in der Gaststätte und nicht so gerne im großen Nebenraum, er ist für unsere Begriffe zu ungemütlich.....
