Great atmosphere with a fantastic view of the mountains. However, the service team seemed quite overwhelmed last time.

We were there about two years ago and had fond memories of the ambiance, the friendly service, and the excellent cuisine! Unfortunately, our positive expectations weren't met! Even though it was the last day before the Kugler Alm closed, the service was inattentive and rather bored, not to mention the carelessly and tastelessly presented food! We're very sorry, but we certainly won't be coming back!

The ambiance is really good. The food is uninspiring. It tastes like ready-made food (the sauces and salads are extreme). Small portions. Half of the menu is unavailable.

Moderate prices, used to be rather expensive. The food was OK, presumably they changed the concept to keep prices down. Service was always attentive, with the exception of a passionate, professional waiter, but the other two colleagues still need some coaching. ;-) The atmosphere in the beer garden is unbeatable.

No. Instead of fries, I wanted to order potato salad, which is included with other dishes on the menu. I was turned away in a very rude manner. Flexibility is nonexistent there. It's a conveyor belt operation. Customer service is not known there.

Disappointing visit – unfortunately, the food was disastrous The location of the Kugleralm is truly beautiful, but that was unfortunately the only positive aspect. The food was a complete failure: carelessly prepared and disappointing in taste. Even simple dishes seemed like convenience foods, and the quality was disproportionate to the price. If the kitchen is supposed to be the heart of the innkeepers... they certainly won't be going back there!!!! The service was very friendly!

We were invited to a wedding reception. The ambiance was lovely, the service was very friendly and attentive. We had a set meal, and it was delicious, highly recommended. 😋. Thank you very much, we will definitely come back for a private event. 🙂

Wir haben unseren 60. Geburtstag im Landgut Kugleralm gefeiert. Ende Juni und draußen. Sektempfang ab 15 Uhr, Fassbier, feiner Fingerfood, Kaffee und Kuchen, 3-Gang-Menü, Feuerwerk und Getränke sowie Tanz und Musik bis 2 Uhr morgens. Es war einfach alles perfekt: Außerordentlich freundlicher Service, tolles Ambiente und Gedeck, großartiges Essen und Getränke, unvergessliche Aussicht, ein phantastisches Feuerwerk und sogar das Wetter war, wie es nicht besser sein könnte. Alle Gäste waren begeistert- und wir auch. Absolut empfehlenswert.

We celebrated our 60th birthday at the Kugleralm estate with over 50 people. It was outdoors at the end of June. A champagne reception started at 3 p.m., draft beer, delicious finger food, coffee and cake, a three-course meal, fireworks and drinks, and dancing and music until 2 a.m. Everything was simply perfect: exceptionally friendly service, a wonderful ambiance and table setting, amazing food and drinks, an unforgettable view, a fantastic fireworks display, and even the weather couldn't have been better. All of our guests were thrilled—and so were we. Highly recommended.

Yes, excellent food, but the service was unfortunately unfriendly. You'd have to be a beer drinker, because even though the menu was excellent for wine pairing, they ran out of wine. Unbelievable for a restaurant this size.

Very quiet and pleasant ambiance. Food not so great.

A great terrace where they brought me an espresso while I enjoyed a cigarette. Very attentive staff, and the food is every bit as good. The mountain ox steak was so tender that the table knife was enough, and the truffle was so noticeable yet subtle that it didn't overpower the jus and tender vegetables. The view is the icing on the cake; you feel like the table flows seamlessly into the field in front of it, allowing you to indulge in nature without limits. Perhaps the Peißenberg is as beautiful as anywhere else. As a native of eastern Munich, it's the perfect train escape for enjoyment and relaxation. I don't have any photos this time; I was simply too caught up in the enjoyment mode.

Cozy inn, very good food, incredibly friendly and accommodating staff.

We made a spontaneous reservation for 15 people, and they made it possible. I thought that was great, even though it was already very busy that day. The food was served quickly, and everyone got their food at the same time. High praise! And it was really delicious, too! Thank you!

The Kugleralm is always worth a visit! The food tastes excellent every time – you can tell that the cooking here is done with love and quality. The roast pork is particularly special: crispy on the outside, tender and juicy on the inside – simply a delight! The cozy atmosphere and friendly service perfectly round off the experience. An absolute recommendation for anyone who appreciates down-to-earth Bavarian cuisine!

A friend and I were there on April 27th. the first time here, we felt very well received and the service staff were very nice, nothing to complain about...keep it up😊😌

I was here for a wedding for the first time and have been here several times since then as a “normal guest”. The food was always very good and the selection is very large, something for everyone, especially for those who like something hearty. The beer garden is particularly recommended when the weather is nice, as it offers a beautiful view of green hills and some of the Alps. The service has been impeccable so far! Very friendly, quick and there was always someone available straight away. However, there were very few guests there at these times. Overall, an absolute recommendation from me, even for events (although I can only speak about the one wedding).

Great view and great ambience...unfortunately we had to wait a little longer, but the waitresses were friendly...unfortunately we missed the time when there was only snack left...the portions aren't overly large...and the browned meatloaf comes with gravy (it wasn't on the menu) .a little unusual...but overall ok

Absolutely recommended! The staff was incredibly accommodating, friendly and attentive - you felt welcome from the first moment. Both the starter and the main course were a real culinary masterpiece - with great attention to detail and perfectly balanced flavors. Price-performance is really great here. I always enjoy coming here! The location is simply fantastic, especially when you can enjoy the view of the Alps on a clear day. The atmosphere is totally inviting and cozy. The food is super delicious, leaving nothing to be desired! And the service – especially Andreas – is always top. He has served us many times and we always remember him positively. Just an all-round great business that we can only recommend!

Leider leidet die gutbürgerliche Küche, die man hier egtl. erwarten würde, scheinbar unter dem Versuch, eine höhere Küche anzubieten. Und damit stimmt für mich hier leider das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis nicht mehr. Ich habe hier innerhalb der letzten fünf Jahre zum dritten Mal ein Schnitzel Wiener Art gegessen und wurde jedes Mal enttäuscht und ich würde für den Preis von 15,10€ ein fachlich gut gemachtes Schnitzel bekommen. Heißt, gutes Fleisch, vernünftige Semmelbrösel zum Panieren und das Schnitzel schwimmend in Butterschmalz ausgebacken. Die Panade muss sich vom Fleisch wellig abheben, etwas knusprig sein und vor allem soll das Schnitzel gut schmecken. Hier war das Fleisch drei Mal zäh, die Panade klebt fest am Fleisch und ist viel zu hart und die Schnitzel sind dabei auch noch extrem fettig. Ich würde fast auf Fritteuse tippen vom Geschmack her. Die Pommes dazu total versalzen. Also auch bei der dritten Chance wieder ein totaler Reinfall. Auch die anderen Personen am Tisch waren nicht wirklich angetan vom Essen. Wenn man bedenkt, dass wir am Tisch zu viert mit zwei kleinen Kindern 150€ gelassen haben, ist das alles in allem ein enttäuschendes Erlebnis gewesen. Der Kellner war aufmerksam und flott. Jetzt ist es aber wirklich so weit dass wir nicht mehr kommen. Es wird auch über Jahre nicht besser, nur die Preise steigen unproportional zur Qualität. Das kann dir Konkurrenz zum Teil deutlich besser.

When we are with our friends in Ebersberg, it is a must for us to visit the Kugleralm. With 12 degrees and sunshine, we were even able to sit on the terrace. It's still self-service here at the moment, but that didn't bother us. We were happy to enjoy the great view. After the sunset we sat down in the restaurant for dinner. The food, as always, was very tasty. The beer was tasty too 😉 At the end we had a schnapps and we were able to go “home” satisfied. It is advisable to book a table in advance. I would say number one in Ebersberg. I was there for training and it was very good and very well organized.

The most outstanding Bavarian food I have ever enjoyed. The starter and the main course combined with the dessert created a real taste explosion. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. The location is also excellent! A visit is definitely recommended, even for people from Munich. It is clear that this is a lovingly run family business whose employees work with joy and commitment.

Good food and, when the weather is good, a wonderful view of the Alps.

It's a shame because of the good positive reviews reserved here. Unfortunately, the service was a bit rough and not at all friendly, the food was rather carelessly prepared and the portions were rather small. I really don't like giving bad reviews but I find it difficult to give anything more than 3 stars here.

The Landgut Kugleralm in Ebersberg is a cozy Bavarian restaurant with a traditional atmosphere. The food is good and tasty, and the staff are always helpful, even when it is very busy on holidays like Christmas. Despite the waiting times, everything was well organized and the delicious food made up for the waiting time. The available parking spaces and the playground, which are a plus point especially for families, are particularly practical. Overall, a nice place that offers a pleasant experience even when it's busy.

Hello everyone, these days it's becoming increasingly rare to find: a wonderful dish (German cuisine at its best), a friendly smile and a view like on a postcard - coming from Munich, this restaurant is really an absolute tip. Would give 6 stars if possible ;-). When I'm in the area I always eat here

Super delicious food and warm atmosphere and service. Very good quality and lovingly prepared. The parmesan-crusted beef fillet is to die for! But also everything else. Price-performance is unbeatable. Absolutely beautiful beer garden - our son is happy every time we are here. You can eat relaxed and the children play in the playground.

I came here today with my family. We arrived at about 13:45. It was probably 1/2 full. After waiting ten minutes to order drinks the waitress finally came over and we said we were ready to order drinks and food. I ordered my drink and was rudely spoken to. Then we asked if we could order food and were again extremely rudely spoken to and told in an almost scolding way that the kitchen was closed. The website says warm kitchen until 14:00, if they mean 13:30 or 13:45, they should write that on the website. Even if it is a major problem to order at 13:50 or 13:55, it still doesn’t mean it’s ok to snap at people who are just trying to order lunch and tell them “you must be new here” — which is what ended up happening. We were so shocked and upset by this treatment that we left the restaurant. Which was quite a pity because it was a really beautiful location with what looked like really lovely food. I ended up going back into the restaurant and did find a waiter who tried to apologize and speak with me about the matter. He was quite patient and felt bad about the whole thing. Nevertheless, at the end of the day, words matter and how you speak to people and treat people is important. Especially if you want people to feel welcome at your establishment.

Dieses Mal wurde ich nicht enttäuscht. Es ist jetzt schon ein paar Jahre her, dass ich dort war. Habe es dennoch nochmal probiert, weil es eine kleine Feier gab. Dieses Mal stimmte der Service als auch das Essen. Wobei ich fairer weise sagen muss, dass das Essen immer gut war, allerdings der Service zu wünschen übrig ließ. Das war dieses Mal gar nicht mehr so. Wir wurden echt nett umsorgt. Es war ein super toller Abend!! Rundherum gelungen!! Weiter so!!

The Kugleralm is in a very beautiful location. The food varied in quality. The ox steak was great, the salad with shrimp skewer wasn't so great. We couldn't enjoy the peace and quiet this time because there was a wedding party on the terrace at the same time with music and entertainment. This meant that entertainment was only possible to a limited extent.

Nice, shady beer garden and very good food. For the children there is a small playground with a slide, swings and sandpit. Most dishes can also be ordered as a “senior portion”.

Delicious food, good beer and a great view of the mountains

We actually just wanted a cappuccino and a piece of cake each. There was no cake at all, apple strudel was offered instead. We then ordered 2 apple strudels, with vanilla ice cream and whipped cream. What was served was simple coffee, apple strudel with vanilla ice cream, but no cream. Please pay immediately, I'm almost off work. EC card doesn't work at all! Only when I asked for an ATM did it suddenly work. The whole thing for €25.80. Thank you!

Die Kugleraml ist vom Landgasthof mutiert zum ambitionierten Landgut, das Preis- leistungs-Verhältnis stimmt nicht mehr, das Ambiente ist zu einfach, die Bedienungen sind nicht gepflegt genug, riesige Feste stören die Gemütlichkeit im Tagesbetrieb. Der Wirt kocht nicht mehr sondern ist jetzt Manager und hetzt herum.

Very tasty food, reasonably priced for the food served.

Whit Monday, lucky me, I just managed to get a table, the entire garden and partly the restaurant were packed. The service, as always, was very friendly and competent and never put you at ease. The garden or terrace was wonderfully "renovated" some time ago, no longer comparable to the previous meadow, much higher quality. Here you can enjoy the best Bavarian cuisine at a high level with a wonderful view of the Alps. We had roast pork from straw pig, my favorite piece of neck, tender as butter, strong sauce, with two kinds of fine, fluffy dumplings and coleslaw. Spinach dumplings with root vegetables, rosemary butter and shaved mountain cheese. Wonderful fluffy dumplings, the cook just has it!! The food and drinks came according to the tried and tested FIFO principle, what was ordered first came first, which most restaurants can learn a lot from. The only thing I personally miss here is the classic, Bavarian offal cuisine with sour kidneys, Lüngerl, liver etc. But unfortunately that can no longer be found on the menus in almost any pub :-( Many thanks to the whole team, who didn't let themselves be disturbed despite the garden AND restaurant being completely booked. We'd love to come back again and again :-). See you again soon.

Went there on May 18th, 2024 and drank two cyclists. They were brought quickly, but temporary staff are not allowed to collect money and may not do anything to the head waiter. The "real" waiter is not interested in the payment process (about 45 minutes of waving and waiting!!) (obviously because of the low tip expectation).

I was here over 10 years ago, then not for a few years until 2022 and now again and can now say that the restaurant has declined significantly. Prices have risen significantly in 2022 and quality has noticeably deteriorated compared to before. Now you only get run-of-the-mill food, which you can get better elsewhere for less money. The restaurant still scores points for its good location, but the bad service (several dishes were not available) and the average food unfortunately didn't create a good atmosphere for me. I don't think I'll come again. For reasons of transparency, my original rating (4 stars): The food and the view of the Alpine panorama are very good. The only drawback is... What's not local is the rural atmosphere that comes across especially on Sunday lunchtimes (because of the traditional music). However, that is a matter of taste.

Wow...absolutely wow! Very idyllic, the view of the Alps is breathtaking and combined with good food...so it couldn't be better. A small but well-equipped playground to keep the children busy. Perfect spot for a perfect dinner.

The Kugleralm is a special address in Ebersberg. The food is excellent, the team is well-coordinated and courteous. When the weather is nice, you can enjoy a view of the Alps outside in the guest garden. In terms of price, the Kugleralm is in line with the current trend. - We always enjoy coming here.

Absolutely successful bike trip to the Kugler Alm. Super friendly service (thanks Andi), fantastic starter (pickled salmon on asparagus salad and iced wild garlic mousse) and then strawberry cake with a Dinzler cappuccino - what more could you want! All hell broke loose in that weather - but still super organized and good. Mia kemma will definitely come by more often - many thanks to the whole team 👌
