My wife ordered a salad with fish for 16.50! She didn't get full because there was very little salad and tiny pieces of fish. This salad wasn't declared as an appetizer, but it looked like it! The Preuß performance ratio is not right here!

It's been a long time since I stopped by the Landgasthof Haarmühle for breakfast! The breakfast buffet here is simply an experience! There is simply nothing missing from breakfast! Der Gasthof Haarmühle ist über die Grenzen hin bekannt und ein beliebtes Ausflugsziel. Ein gutes Essen - meist Reibeplätzchen - ist sehr bekannt. Wir haben uns für eine Vorspeisenplatte entschieden und auf Anraten der Bedienung haben wir es erst einmal dabei belassen und waren nach dieser reichlich belegten Vorspeisenplatte auch restlos satt. Von Spargelröllchen über Räucherfisch und Reibekuchen, Mattjes und viel Obst und Gemüse und einem Brot mit Kräuterbutter - es war für jeden Geschmack was dabei. Nur zu empfehlen. Das Preis- Leistungsverhältnis stimmte hier auf jeden Fall. Wir haben dann noch an der Brottheke frisch gebackene Brote mitgenommen. Einen kleinen Verdauungspaziergang führte uns dann noch zur alten Haarmühle, die auch kostenlos besichtigt werden kann. Es gibt viele Wanderwege rund um die Haarmühle und im Sommer können sicherlich auch die Ruderboote benutzt werden können. Wir kommen wieder.

Good and fast service, tasty food.

The Haarmühle inn is known beyond the borders and is a popular excursion destination. A good meal - mostly grated biscuits - is very well known. We decided on a starter platter and on the advice of the waiter we left it at that for now and were completely full after this generously filled starter platter. From asparagus rolls to smoked fish and potato pancakes, Mattjes and lots of fruit and vegetables and bread with herb butter - there was something for every taste. Only recommended. The price-performance ratio was definitely right here. We then picked up freshly baked bread from the bread counter. We then took a short digestive walk to the old hair mill, which can also be visited free of charge. There are many hiking trails around the Haarmühle and in summer you can certainly use the rowing boats. We'll be back.

Very nice place. Had a lovely walk and then had a delicious lunch. Super friendly, my German is not the best but the waiter helped me kindly. Would definitely return if I'm in the area again.

Wir hatten die Grillplatte, die für 2 Personen in der Speisekarte steht. Beim bezahlen fiel dann auf, dass die 2x berechnet wird. In der Karte steh das nicht wirklich drin. Unverständlich. Wäre das Essen dann noch gut, hätte sich der Preis evtl. von selbst erklärt. Die Ware die hier dann serviert wird und der Geschmack rechtfertigt das abgerufene Geld in keinster Weise. Schade.

Had a nice beer with various types of bread. Then we also bought mustard, herb butter and a loaf of bread. The (currant) bread turned out to be rock hard when we wanted to eat it at home the next day! This was disappointing. We thought it was fresh. The bread, which we received the following week as 'compensation', was rock hard again. Such a shame. And it's a shame that only positive reviews get a response.

Everything was good except the food and drinks. Schnitzel not homemade and cold. Not fresh champions, but canned. Sauce from the bag, jelly. Food was lukewarm. Fries too small portion. No side salad. Drinks as a spritzer in 0.3 are much too expensive. There were 2 adults and two children there. Children's portion was a little smaller than elsewhere. Wouldn't go there to eat again. Breaking is better.

Enjoyed a delicious breakfast buffet. And all that in a beautiful location with beautiful surroundings.

A beautiful place for a cozy break! We went there with our motorcycle group for coffee and cake and were not disappointed. I was in beautiful Münsterland on business last week. The location is absolutely top. The service is super friendly, attentive and fast. But...the food😥. I was looking forward to a delicious dinner after a hard day at work. I chose the schnitzel pan with mushroom cream sauce, fried potatoes and 2 schnitzels. The vegetables were cooked to perfection and very tasty😊. The rest was unfortunately loveless convenience cuisine. Schnitzel with ready-made breading (hard to tell whether they saw a pan or just the deep fryer), the sauce was a ready-made hollondaise sauce with canned mushrooms and the fried potatoes were also pre-cut and bland in taste. For the price it could definitely be better. It's a shame, unfortunately that no longer has anything to do with good artisanal cuisine.

Nice starting point with many walking and cycling routes. But it is always busy and pleasant. Highly recommended, especially in spring and the warm summer months.

Old German cosiness in a beautiful place in nature

It is indicated everywhere that this business is open but we are on holiday. Poor communication, in the 5 minutes we were there dozens of people walked to the door and away with disappointment. This has happened before. Adjust your opening hours!

The staff always strives to make the best possible for the guests! Actually there was no table left, but we should wait 5 minutes!! Great, we didn't have to wait long for the menu and then the food!! It was delicious for young and old 👍😎

Unfortunately, only after the meal did we immediately realize that we were no longer so wanted, no service staff came to ask if we had another wish. The atmosphere is particularly cozy in the fireplace room. The service came by a little too rarely to take repeat orders or clear dishes. Recommended if you're willing to spend a little more.

With the very extensive menu there should be something for everyone. We chose the goose breast and were not disappointed. Price and performance are definitely right. I was here as a child and I still enjoy it today. Delicious food every time. Take a walk beforehand because the location is wonderful. And the house bread has to be bought. Recommended!

Historic Inn in a forest next to a river, so location is not a problem. Service was great, fast and accommodating, food was delicious, not too expensive and portions were sufficiently large that we were all full. kids had fun in the playground and checking out the mill next door afterwards.

I have been a guest in this restaurant for more than 40 years, but I will never come here again. Tonight I was treated very unfriendly and rude. We come in and ask for a table for 2 (several tables and the entire bar is empty). The waitress asks if we have made a reservation. No, we don't have this, sorry....... but you can take a seat at this table if you don't mind it being so big. No problem for us and just when we want to go while sitting, the owner or daughter of the owner of the restaurant comes from a corner and interferes with the conversation in a rude manner. We cannot take a seat at the table that has been reserved, just wait half an hour is the answer. So for no more Haarmule and a tip for the lady in question 1: go and train with your father because he had manners over the past 40 years 2: I think in Germany they also sell signs for the table with the text RESERVED. -------------------------------------------------- -------------------------------------------------- --- We will not comment here on your hurtful words towards our management? Who gives hurtful words to management? 1 We are talking to an employee, not to the woman who joins a conversation without introducing herself or saying anything positive at all, such as good evening. 2. We've been to the hair mill before. We really enjoyed it and really enjoyed it. There is nothing to complain about either the staff or the location. On the contrary - everything was very nice, very friendly and attentive... The different types of bread with herb butter and a dip were really tasty! But without this free appetizer we actually wouldn't have been completely full. We don't think the price-performance ratio is ok! There was nothing to complain about in terms of taste. The meat was excellently fried - but the fact that a rump steak costs just under €33 and only a filling side dish and a sauce (both of which can be chosen from several offers!) is served is steep! Both vegetables and a salad would have cost extra. The meat lay alone without any garnish on a white and very large, unheated porcelain plate and the fries (super quality and nice and hot and crispy, but definitely not too many) were on a separate plate - together with 2 ready-made sachets of salad mayonnaise and a gravy boat the desired pepper sauce. It would have made a lot of difference to arrange the meat on a wooden or slate board, for example. Apart from an appetizing decoration... it was brought to the table in a very spartan way (the word loveless would also come into question). By the way, my husband doubts the weight figure of 250g... it was actually less. I was reasonably satisfied with my dish. Again, it's not about the quality or taste of the ingredients. Since I was completely satisfied and almost happy with a fish dish (tillapia) last time, I wanted to eat exactly this dish again. There was no difference in the description on the menu - but unfortunately the execution was completely different. What should or could have been crispy was unfortunately quite soggy. I would like to say on a positive note that the price for a fish dish was completely reasonable. We would still come back... the Haarmühle is a beautiful place and the staff is extremely friendly without being intrusive. And the fact that we can stay overnight in the motorhome for free is a huge plus. Thanks for that

The Landgasthof Haarmühle is located at Besslinghook 57, in 48683 Ahaus. There is down-to-earth food here, in a room with a piano, in a rustic dining room, a barn with a terrace and a view of the water. The ambience and atmosphere there is very pleasant. In addition, there are really great guests here. I drank good beers there and ate asparagus. Both were very delicious. The staff is very friendly, helpful, socially competent and very valuable.
