My wife and I can only recommend it. The breakfast buffet is always very good. Also very good in terms of price/performance ratio. We can also have it for coffee or for lunch. Highly recommend evening. The ambience suits this restaurant very well

Had a wonderful evening last night, food and service were perfect. Location with a Christmas atmosphere and yes, a gingerbread with coffee.

A restaurant in a very beautiful location. The interior design gives the whole thing a very calm and cozy atmosphere. The staff is very attentive and friendly. With the very extensive menu there should be something for everyone. We chose the goose breast and were not disappointed. Price and performance are definitely right. We can recommend the Landgasthof Haarmühle with a clear conscience. A perfect service from A to Z. Keep it up!!!

I was here as a child and I still enjoy it today. Delicious food every time. Take a walk beforehand because the location is wonderful. And the house bread has to be bought. Recommended!

Delicious food, beautiful place, friendly service!

I have been a guest in this restaurant for more than 40 years, but I will never come here again. Tonight I was treated very unfriendly and rude. We come in and ask for a table for 2 (several tables and the entire bar is empty). The waitress asks if we have made a reservation. No, we don't have this, sorry....... but you can take a seat at this table if you don't mind it being so big. No problem for us and just when we want to go while sitting, the owner or daughter of the owner of the restaurant comes from a corner and interferes with the conversation in a rude manner. We cannot take a seat at the table that has been reserved, just wait half an hour is the answer. So for no more Haarmule and a tip for the lady in question 1: go and train with your father because he had manners over the past 40 years 2: I think in Germany they also sell signs for the table with the text RESERVED. -------------------------------------------------- -------------------------------------------------- --- We will not comment here on your hurtful words towards our management? Who gives hurtful words to management? 1 We are talking to an employee, not to the woman who joins a conversation without introducing herself or saying anything positive at all, such as good evening. 2. The employee had already assigned us the seat, so you don't have to aggressively tell us that we can't take a seat there. 3. We have been coming here for more than 40 years, the lady in question could have offered us a place at the bar to wait for a table. We and our family have given many dinners and parties here in recent years, but you don't see us again. From now on I will also strictly advise people against it.

Great place for dinner and for walking in the area.

Everything was actually perfect. Super great breakfast buffet, always enough refills, staff very accommodating. The ambience is rustic, just as you would imagine. The only thing that bothered me was that the tables were re-set for the afternoon quite quickly. That gave us a bit of a feeling of: please leave now. But that's also complaining at a high level.

Immersed in a wonderful atmosphere, we were greeted with a warm smile. The breakfast was a poem: fresh ingredients, lovingly prepared and simply delicious. The cleanliness of the entire facility, especially the sanitary facilities, was exemplary. A perfect start to the day!"

You can enjoy delicious food there and they have a cozy outdoor terrace, But the hot chocolate is not possible, which is a shame.

We've been to the hair mill before. We really enjoyed it and really enjoyed it. There is nothing to complain about either the staff or the location. On the contrary - everything was very nice, very friendly and attentive... The different types of bread with herb butter and a dip were really tasty! But without this free appetizer we actually wouldn't have been completely full. We don't think the price-performance ratio is ok! There was nothing to complain about in terms of taste. The meat was excellently fried - but the fact that a rump steak costs just under €33 and only a filling side dish and a sauce (both of which can be chosen from several offers!) is served is steep! Both vegetables and a salad would have cost extra. The meat lay alone without any garnish on a white and very large, unheated porcelain plate and the fries (super quality and nice and hot and crispy, but definitely not too many) were on a separate plate - together with 2 ready-made sachets of salad mayonnaise and a gravy boat the desired pepper sauce. It would have made a lot of difference to arrange the meat on a wooden or slate board, for example. Apart from an appetizing decoration... it was brought to the table in a very spartan way (the word loveless would also come into question). By the way, my husband doubts the weight figure of 250g... it was actually less. I was reasonably satisfied with my dish. Again, it's not about the quality or taste of the ingredients. Since I was completely satisfied and almost happy with a fish dish (tillapia) last time, I wanted to eat exactly this dish again. There was no difference in the description on the menu - but unfortunately the execution was completely different. What should or could have been crispy was unfortunately quite soggy. I would like to say on a positive note that the price for a fish dish was completely reasonable. We would still come back... the Haarmühle is a beautiful place and the staff is extremely friendly without being intrusive. And the fact that we can stay overnight in the motorhome for free is a huge plus. Thanks for that

I can only give the rating for the festival barn and the terrace area there....great food!!!!! The black bread is awesome...Great service, no stress from lots of busy children...harmonious, successful ambience...Tip top!!!

The Landgasthof Haarmühle is located at Besslinghook 57, in 48683 Ahaus. There is down-to-earth food here, in a room with a piano, in a rustic dining room, a barn with a terrace and a view of the water. The ambience and atmosphere there is very pleasant. In addition, there are really great guests here. I drank good beers there and ate asparagus. Both were very delicious. The staff is very friendly, helpful, socially competent and very valuable. First class service and great atmosphere! The portions could be larger, but otherwise completely satisfied!

There's a lot going on here, but there's plenty of staff to pamper visitors and serve them super quickly.

The food was great, the location beautiful, and the staff very friendly. Really great.

Ambiance, location, staff, everything was great. Unfortunately, we cannot recommend the food (at least the one we were served). I had a schnitzel pan for mine (€23.50). The schnitzels were made from molded meat and had nothing to do with decent schnitzels. The fried potatoes definitely could have been crispier. Also, the amount of fried potatoes was a joke. I mean like a good five forks and they were gone. I wasn't full. My son's fries were not good in my opinion. Still very light and sticky. We can do it better at home. In the chip shop around the corner, fries and schnitzel are definitely better. I'm just talking about the dishes we got. I can't comment on the rest of the menu.

Salad wasn't my thing. Too simple and mostly arugula. The loin is overdone, therefore a little tough. Sauce over the fried potatoes. Quite lightly seasoned. Hungarian schnitzel looked like it was in a fast food restaurant on the plate.

A nice excursion restaurant with a beer garden, a large children's playground and a historic water mill. Unfortunately, the food I ordered did not meet my expectations. The service was very attentive and friendly.

A beautiful restaurant with a beautiful terrace near the water mill. You can also enjoy nice walks there and there is a reasonably large playground for the children. Only the staff thought our Malinois was big and a bit exciting 😄 but they were very friendly and helpful.

Again served by friendly staff, but this time progress with payment. Pay without any problems with a card from the waiter. This had a printer on the belt for the receipt. Great, big improvements last time.

We were there on Sunday and ate schnitzel with Champion and fries. Unfortunately, the court did not have the quality of previous years; it was more of a tourist meal. Thanks, get better first. The service was really great!!!

We had brunch in the festival barn. The food was good, the service staff were all friendly and attentive. For me personally it was too busy and too loud because there were so many people in a small space. It wasn't possible to have a proper conversation at the table. The lighting in the barn is also not optimal... maybe it's supposed to create a cozy atmosphere, but overall it's too dark. Unfortunately, I couldn't tell at first glance how much hot water I was pouring into the teapot and whether any water was flowing at all. The table with the tea-making utensils may not look good in its current position. Another location might be more suitable. All in all, I would visit the Haarmühle again for a meal.

We stopped here yesterday after a bike ride. Very nice outdoor spaces. Both dishes were delicious. Very friendly staff.

Were there recently, 3 people, food very good - attentive professional service - price performance very good - Salad plate sufficient not counted, schnitzel large and delicious, that's how we like it, we Münsterlanders! Well attended inside - (we sat inside) nice well attended beer garden outside. Finally, I just bought 2 delicious breads - also great - top quality - The Haarmühle - a very good address on our doorstep, as the numerous guests from the Netherlands also know.

Super nice terrace! Always a nice place to sit after walking or running in the neighborhood. Extra advantage: they serve Maisels weizen.

The three of us ate there on Sunday. The ambience is beautiful.perfect for a walk with the 🐕. Unfortunately, the food we ordered was mediocre. Schnitzel with champion sauce unfortunately with canned champions. 99% schnitzel also comes from the freezer. Too expensive for over 18 euros. My mother's fried potatoes also tasted very like a bag. You can also make meals from ready-made products cheaper at home. If this changes, the rating will be adjusted accordingly. But the staff is very attentive and really very friendly. The 🐕 is also thought of and water is provided. All in all, I would still recommend the restaurant because of the great location. But more likely just to have a drink or eat the sausage platters.

It‘s a great place to stop if you take the bike tour or walk. However it is really busy so it may be hard to find a spot. Main food price is okay. However some of the food is really overpriced such as the ice cream bowls they sell. Overall I still really recommend the place. They also have great kidsplayground and clean toilets.

Wir hatten zwei Grillplatten bestellt wurden aber nicht darauf hingewiesen das der Preis pro Person berechnet wird. 38.50€ p.person finde ich für eine Grillplatten die für 2personen ausgewiesen ist ziemlich teuer. Das Zahl ich in keinem anderen Restaurant. Das Essen war gut das Ambiente auch. Aber ich fühlte mich betrogen weil der Preis nicht auf der Karte stand und die Grillplatten auf der Speisekarte im Internet nicht auf geführt ist. Zum Kaffee trinken fahre ich da gerne nochmal hin,aber nicht mehr zum Essen

We were there by bike. In the afternoon for coffee ☕️ and 🍰 and after an extensive hike in search of the Scottish highland cattle again for dinner in the evening. 2x sailor's plate and 1x potato pancake with apple sauce. The herring was fresh and super tasty. Likewise the fried potatoes and the salad. 😋 The potato pancakes with compote were also delicious, if a child says it, it must be true. 😊😋 A great location. Planned to see you again. 📅

Had a nice beer with various types of bread. Then we also bought mustard, herb butter and a loaf of bread. The (currant) bread turned out to be rock hard when we wanted to eat it at home the next day! This was disappointing. We thought it was fresh.

Beautiful and large terrace with playground and toilets. Big pieces of cake. Plenty of parking. Various walking routes start from here and are clearly indicated.

Class restaurant prices but at "push the tray"! You stand in line, order at the window and walk around with a tray in your hand. In fact, part of the terrace has table service. Only the rest are self-service. Otherwise the prices are identical. I won't come a second time! 😡🤮

Nice place to walk or cycle and then enjoy a nice beer garden. There is also a nice play area for children, but for our eldest of 8 the playground is starting to become less interesting... but every time we are here we have a great time!
