Landgasthaus Sternen in Kehl

As a family of five, we booked the penthouse for a week. We received a friendly welcome. The rooms were very spacious. The building was older and renovated, so it's OK for a week. The terrace near the penthouse has aluminum panels and a floor planking that burns your feet at midday because the floor is so hot from the sun. And on the terrace, the liposuction units from the kitchen come up, and it just smells like fries, and the grease drips down. The chimney for the extraction unit should be higher or placed somewhere else. You also have to put up with the noise from the fan. We left on Wednesday morning. That wasn't a vacation. You should invest heavily and fix it. Too expensive for a penthouse apartment in that sense.

We were looking forward to a visit to the busy restaurant with beer garden based on the many positive reviews and had reserved our table for 6:30 p.m. Unfortunately, the evening turned out to be a bitter disappointment. The food was very good, but the wait was completely unacceptable. We received our drinks shortly before 7:00 p.m. and placed our food orders at that time. After repeated requests, we received our meals at 8:40 p.m. – and then not all of them. Some of our group (seven of us) had already eaten three-quarters of their food when the last dish finally arrived. We ultimately declined it and sent it back. Particularly annoying: Despite repeated reminders to our server and the owner, the delay was repeatedly explained by the large number of guests – while guests around us received their food promptly, were able to pay, and left the restaurant, so that the beer garden noticeably emptied. Conclusion: Good food, but service that ruined our entire evening.

The room was good—the mattress was a bit soft. Unfortunately, there was no hot water in the shower and I didn't know who to turn to for help (self-check-in). Otherwise, it was fine.

The room was okay at first, but it was cleaned once in 7 days and the toilet paper wasn't refilled. The food prices were too high in my opinion. No thanks, never again.

We ate here with a large group. My Rostbrätl wasn't a Rostbrätl, but a briefly seared steak. The doneness wasn't checked, so it was rare. The young server was very attentive. The boss himself came several times and asked for a Google review. Someone in our group gave it 4 stars, which he wasn't happy about. There were also major problems with the bill because not everything was paid at once. We were supposed to pay our colleague's bill because the boss hadn't entered the full amount correctly when the colleague paid. What ensued was a long discussion. In the end, that was also the reason why it's given 3 stars instead of 4.

I went out to eat with my family, and I have to say it was the most family-friendly restaurant I've ever been to. The food was also amazing. Kudos to the head chef; she does a great job. I would definitely choose her restaurant again!

After our intense hobby day today, we were very hungry. The vehicles were parked, the reserved table was set. Orders were placed, and shortly afterward, delicious meals were served to our nine guests. We thank the team at the front and those in the kitchen.

I didn't like it at all. My Rösti was completely bland, as was the veal slices that went with it. I wasn't the only one who ordered it, which is why the whole thing was served in a pot/plate to share. What is that supposed to mean?? That may be the case with grandma or mom, but if I order a main course for almost €30, I don't want to poke around in the pot with anyone else. I'm sorry but I won't go to a restaurant for that!! The service was again okay, but 👍🏽

Nice restaurant in a central location in Kehl-Sundheim. Service very friendly and attentive. Prices absolutely okay. The food was good/tasty, but for 5 stars it was still missing that final “whistle”. Would love to come back.

We were in the restaurant with around 60 people and were very positively surprised by the service and the delicacies from the kitchen.

We are very impressed by the friendliness of the staff and the food left nothing to be desired. Rarely have we seen such a smooth process with over 50 people. They know how things work... definitely happy again

The restaurant was well attended - we went there twice - the menu was delicious and the food exceeded all expectations. The staff was very friendly and the prices were reasonable. We went there for dinner with 9 people today (Sunday) after an event in Strasbourg. We had reserved and were given a large, round table. Very friendly service. Super Service. Drinks and food came quite quickly. Home cooking. Delicious dessert platter. Everyone enjoyed it. Price performance ratio is right! Gladly again.

Unfortunately it doesn't get any better. We wanted to give the restaurant another chance. The quality of the food is good. Deviations in the order...it's better to leave it alone! The service can't remember half of it. We also waited more than an hour for food. Conclusion: well-intentioned, but could be done better. We were at the restaurant on a Sunday evening with a group of friends after an event special to us. We had reserved and 2 people arrived 30 minutes later. The greeting of these two people was already icy, so they hardly had time to choose anything. The food itself was ok. But as soon as you were finished, it was already cleared away. At the end the chef tried to save the mood by giving out a round of schnapps on the house. We were also surprised that there was no one in the restaurant other than us, and that on a Sunday evening. Conclusion: If you need some flexibility, it's better to go somewhere else.

A good middle-class inn with a very nice and friendly atmosphere and furnishings. There is even another parking space so you always have space. The menu is very good, not too overwhelming and the food is very tasty. The waiter is very attentive and friendly. In short we can only recommend it. I will gladly come again.

Were only in the restaurant so no room rating. Very friendly innkeepers. Very good food and ambience. The dishes are freshly prepared... so a little waiting time is really appropriate. Good menu and lots of very good local dishes that you often don't get anymore. The portions are really filling too. We'll definitely come back here! Reservations are recommended as there is always a lot going on.

Super everything perfect and good

The price/performance ratio is still right here. Solid and clean rooms. The friendliest welcome at the reception and in the evening in the restaurant there is a freshly tapped Pilsner and for the lady an Aperol and the selection on the menu is also good - there is something for every taste. Clear recommendation from my side. 👍

Wir kennen den Sternen in Sundheim schon lange. Die Begrüßung ist immer sehr freundlich. Ambiente, typische rustikale Wirtschaft. Alles sehr gepflegt. Der Service ist gut. Die Preise sind wie überall schon an der Grenze aber man bekommt ganz gute Portionen dafür. Man sollte besser reservieren. Wir kommen gerne wieder.

Seit Jahren ein gutes Restaurant mit immer freundlichem Service und sehr leckerem badischen Essen. Nun bleibt es mit neuem Pächter erhalten und wir freuen uns auf weitere schöne Stunden bei gutem Essen. Im Sommer auch mit schönem Biergarten.

Ich war mit meinen Geschäftspartnern hier im Gasthaus Sternen und habe auch übernachtet. Die Zimmer sind sehr sauber und mit allem ausgestattet was man braucht. Ich habe selten so gut geschlafen. Das Essen im Restaurant ist außergewöhnlich Gut. Ich kenne Restaurants überall auf der Welt, aber was ich da gegessen habe übertrifft alles. Ich hatte das Sternen Töpfle. Auch die Beilagen wie Salat und Dessert habe ich genossen. Die Bedienung ist sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend. Mann hat jederzeit seine Privatsphäre und gleichzeitig auch jederzeit die Möglichkeit die Möglichkeit eine Bestellung aufzugeben. Das Fazit ist, ich kann die Location nur weiterempfehlen. Es ist jederzeit einen Besuch Wert.

Wir sind den positiven Empfehlungen von Bekannten gefolgt und rundum zufrieden gewesen mit den Gerichten (Fisch- und Fleischgerichte für die Erwachsenen und Käsespätzle und Pommes für die Kinder).

Alles Wunderbar, Ich bin absolut begeistert, was für eine Tolles appartment, Modern und komfortabel eingerichtet, das Hotel hat ein Grosses Restaurant und ein Vielfältiges Menü, alles was das Herz begehrt, das Essen schmeckt fantastisch. Das Hotel hat eine Grosse Terasse und ist in einer Ruhigen gegend in der nähe des Zentrums Ideal gelegen für jeden der im Schwarzwald erholung haben will. Die Gastgeber sind Mega Lieb und tun alles für Ihre Gäste damit sie sich wohlfühlen. Ich bin Mega Happy und zufrieden gewesen. LG

Nachdem viele Bekannte das Lokal empfohlen hatten, haben wir es jetzt auch mal probiert... Schon der Raum des Lokals war eher bescheiden: billige Tiffanykopien aus Plastik über den Tischen, die billig eingedeckt waren, ohne jeden Charme. Man spürte, dass hier nichts mehr gut läuft... zu schwaches Licht, keine schöne Deko, total tote Atmosphäre. Wir bestellten Rehragout und die kleine Portion Schweinefilet, dazu Bier. Der Salat vom Rehragout war noch halbwegs badisch und ganz ok. Dann kam das Ragout, geschmort als Rehgulasch mit Zwiebeln in Wasser. Dazu Spätzle ohne Ei und Salz..??? Selten beides jemals so fad gegessen. Die Schweinelendchen waren gut, für mich eigentlich zu übergart, dazu eine fade Soße. Die Fritten kamen wohl aus der TK-Abteilung. Auf das 2. Bier und Salz für die Fritten haben wir 20 Minuten gewartet und gewunken, bis endlich einer der beiden unaufmerksamen Kellner mal hochschaute.... Ähnlich ging es mit der Rechnung. Keine Ahnung, wie das Lokal jemand empfehlen kann.

12h30 war keinTtagesmenu mehr zu erhalten aber um 13h15 gab es wie bei einem Wunder fur 2 andere Kunde wieder das vorgeschlagene Tagesmenu das Ersatzmenu war aber gut und der Service war schnell und freundlich

Das erste und nicht das letzte mal hier gegessen. Das Essen war einfach perfekt gekocht, Hut ab an dem Koch/der Köchin. Lange nicht mehr so gut gegessen. Einfach super, Halleluja.

Wenn man davor steht denkt man …schon dörflich, aber hinter der Eingangstür erwartet einen ,ein wirklich originales Gasthaus mit freundlichem Empfang und hervorragender Küche! An einem Dienstag wird gefragt ob man reserviert hat…. was die gute Auslastung widerspiegelt, und das zu recht! Das Essen kam heiss an den Tisch und die Dorade kam als Filet und das reichlich und Lecker! Alles andere sah sehr appetitlich und reichlich aus. Die Wirtsleute sind vom Fach und haben Lust auf den Beruf! Wir freuen uns den Weg hierhin gefunden zu haben und wünschen der vierten Generation weiterhin viel Erfolg!

Ein Gasthaus der besonderen Note! Das Wirte Ehepaar steht noch selbst in der Küche. Der Service sehr aufmerksam und lässt keine Wünsche offen. Am Speisenangebot gibt es absolut nichts zu meckern. Für jeden Geschmack gibt es eine tolle Auswahl. Qualität und Geschmack haben 10 von 5 Punkten verdient. Wir sind zu Stammgästen geworden. Weiter so!!!!
