Pleasant stube with a Dutch bartender. Delicious food, Viennese schnitzel as it should be. Nice old-fashioned decor and very busy, so booking in advance is essential.

During our stay in Strasbourg for the Christmas market, we were tempted to also visit Germany to enjoy a good beer. The shop's facade charmed us, but the interior was even more wonderful. We were greeted by very friendly staff who gave us excellent advice on beer selection. The menu offered a variety of dishes to suit all tastes, and the menu was translated into French. We had a lovely time and look forward to returning.

We were staying in Strasbourg and wanted to check out Germany. We went to here for lunch, we arrived around noon without a reservation and were able to snag the last available table, so would suggest calling ahead. Oh my goodness what a gem! We are an American family living in Strasbourg and today my son was begging for Schniztel! After some googling we ended up here... and what a treat it was! On arrival, you are greeted with the most equisitely cozy atmosphere. There is a lot of charm to this restaurant. We were greeted warmly by the staff, a gentleman who went out of his way to help us in English. Very professional. My son had the schnitzel and loved it! I had the goulash and it was incredible! Spicy and perfect for a cold day! Can't wait to visit with my husband for a datenight! Must visit if you are in Kehl!

I had something simple: turkey schnitzel with fries and gravy. And it was truly excellent. The appetizer salad was also good, and the service was very friendly; they always checked to see if everything was alright. I would gladly come again.

We strolled over the bridge from Strasbourg on a whim and lucked into the best decision of our trip. Despite a busy Friday night and no reservation, Raymond — who greeted and served us — found us a table and made us feel instantly welcome. The food was fantastic, the beers were big and tasty, and the ambience pure local charm. Even better, the prices were extremely reasonable, and the nearby locals were as friendly as the service. We were only in Kehl for one evening, but this became our favorite meal of the entire European adventure. Worth crossing a border for — and maybe planning a detour next time. 🇩🇪🍻

Food-excellent like at home, service-excellent: atmosphere-peace and quiet. Definitely recommended for a good time with great food. Today I returned after 5 months. Everything was the same: excellent food and service, cosy atmosphere....recomendation - of course. You will not regret. It worth to take tram from Stradbourg and spemd a wonderful time.

I rented a car in Strasbourg and visited this place on my way to Switzerland to try some German schnitzel. The atmosphere was great and the owner was incredibly friendly. There's a paid parking lot in front of the restaurant. I thought it was schnitzel and fried rice, but it turned out to be fried potatoes.

The cozy intimate setting is at once traditional and trendy, and we loved how the pork loin, schnitzel and suppe goulash really satisfied our taste buds and appetite. The people in the restaurant were warm and friendly, no doubt influenced by the very cheerful and hospitable proprietors. We had no idea we would eat there, being a random spur of moment choice, but afterwards we felt lucky to have picked it. The whole experience was just great!

During a short stay in Kehl, we stopped off for dinner at this quaint and cozy restaurant. The food was extremely delicious (homemade tarte flambée), beer was fresh on tap, and the service was very warm and authentic. The ambiance was warm, inviting, and comfortable. You'd want to spend the whole evening there. Excellent value for money! A clear recommendation for anyone who appreciates honest and delicious home-cooked food – at fair prices and served with heart.

We arrived without a reservation, but received a very warm welcome. Our server was very friendly and attentive. Children are no problem at all (a highchair and even children's cutlery are provided). The food was excellent. The portions are generous. It's a quaint little restaurant where things can get loud at times. But otherwise, there's absolutely nothing to complain about. We would come back.

It was such a blessing to eat such delicious food on my first trip to Germany. The owner was also very nice and had a very kind smile. There is also an English menu, so you don’t have to worry even if you don’t speak German.

The family that runs this restaurant is simply wonderfully warm and hospitable. You immediately feel welcome and almost at home. The food is truly delicious! I've been there twice now, together with my girlfriend and our little daughter, and we felt very comfortable each time. I think it's particularly thoughtful that even the littlest ones are taken care of; they even provide a highchair for babies. The value for money is absolutely perfect. If you're in Kehl, you shouldn't miss this restaurant. It's just a shame we don't have such a gem in Frankfurt.

A quaint restaurant where you immediately felt at home. The food, wait time, and service were excellent. We paid only €51 for three drinks, a dessert, two main courses, and a side salad. If we're in the area again, we'll be happy to come back!

We had a delicious rösti at Alte Zunft tonight. Despite the limited waitstaff, the service was quick and friendly. And the price, especially compared to Dutch restaurant prices, was absolutely fantastic. It's about a 20-minute walk from Camping Kehl.

We visited here while on holiday from the UK and it was fantastic. The barman was super helpful and friendly. He made us feel welcome and talked us through the beers on tap and different menu options. Once we ordered he was very attentive and the food arrived quickly and was delicious! The only downside was that we only found this place on our last night in Kehl, otherwise we would have eaten here every night for the full week! We will definitely be back when we make our next visit.

You can eat well here for a reasonable price. We were seated immediately even though we didn't have a reservation. The food arrived quickly and tasted good. The staff is friendly and accommodating. Best food in a long time. The roasted potatoes are unbeatable! The portions are large and the prices are perfectly reasonable. Beautiful beer garden, an absolutely wonderful and cozy dining room, and the staff are super friendly! We'll definitely be back next time we're in Kehl. Be sure to make a reservation.

I once ate some very tasty meat there, and for very little money. Excellent service. Super friendly! Highly recommended. There's also seating outside and some parking nearby.

After a long walk we arrive in this small restaurant, the atmosphere, the decor and our server changes from the usual codes, it's authentic! A big thank you to this waiter who at first did not seem very welcoming but I assure you he is very pleasant and smiling! We were both very happy with the beer and the Rösti. We will definitely be coming back during our stay in Strasbourg. Short vacation in Kehl… Our highlight of today was not, as expected, the incredibly overcrowded Christmas market in Strasbourg, but rather ending the day in the “Alte Zunft” in Kehl. We arrived at the restaurant without a reservation and with a bit of luck. The restaurant seemed to be fully booked, but luckily we were able to sit at a table. The food was really delicious, the quality was top and the portions were quite large. There was definitely something for each of us here. The service was open-hearted and very personable. Both people present gave us an extremely hospitable welcome, so that we immediately felt at home in the cozy, rustic atmosphere. We will definitely come back if we visit the area again. Absolutely recommended!
