Very good food, friendly service

A lovely Franconian inn with delicious, traditional cuisine. Highly recommended.

It tasted excellent. Venison roast with napkin toilets. To finish off the meal, a few apple fritters. Excellent value for money. It was our last stop in Franconian Switzerland before heading home.

Simply good food, highly recommended. Prices are moderate.

We were at Gasthaus Hubert on a Sunday evening, five adults and a toddler. We had made a reservation in advance, which is recommended! The food was very plentiful and delicious! The liver dumpling soup is especially recommended! The unsalted fries, which some reviewers describe as a negative, are actually a positive! Many portions of fries at other restaurants are overseasoned or too salty, especially for children! I think it's great for children if they don't have any seasoning; everyone is free to add more salt! All in all, it's a highly recommended restaurant with good food, friendly staff, and good value for money! Thank you

One of the best restaurants in the area

This was our first time at Landgasthaus Hubert. The food was very good and the service was quick and friendly. There's plenty of parking. Paying by card is no problem at Landgasthaus Hubert. And: There's Wi-Fi!

Absolutely disappointing – never again! I went to this restaurant with my family today, and unfortunately, it was a complete disaster. I ordered a Cordon Bleu – and what I was served was an absolute disgrace. The meat was burnt, bitter on the outside, and tough and dry on the inside. The fries that came with it were completely unsalted and tasteless, simply thrown carelessly onto the plate. And the cheese in the Cordon Bleu tasted chemical and artificial, as if they had used some cheap, artificial cheese. As if all that wasn't bad enough, the service was also extremely rude – no smile, no friendliness, just rude replies and annoyed looks. I've rarely eaten so badly and felt so unwelcome at the same time. What a waste of money and the evening. Definitely not a recommendation!

Good day, With all due respect, I don't understand how this restaurant can currently have 4.7 stars. I had the pork loin, my colleague had the cordon bleu, and my daughter had the mozzarella sticks, if you can call them that. As you can see from the picture, the mozzarella sticks weren't even cooked through and didn't taste very good. They were very soggy and flavorful. My colleague's cordon bleu was seared black on the bottom and didn't taste good at all. The cheese in the cordon bleu tasted very strange and artificial. Now we come to my pork loin. There were four of them on my plate, but that was more than enough because they simply didn't taste good. I might as well have been biting on chewing gum. The pork loins were really tough, and the quality of the meat was poor, or rather, not tasty. By the way, the fries arrived without a grain of salt. Unfortunately, there was no child-friendliness either, and the service was generally very unfriendly. They were obviously not in the mood for their job. The only good thing I have to say was the mushroom sauce on my pork loin.

An authentic Franconian restaurant with a regional menu. We had the Wiener Schnitzel, which was good, but the potato salad and fried potatoes weren't seasoned. I'm worried the chef was the opposite of in love. The side salad looked great, very fresh, but unfortunately, it had an extremely sweet dressing, not my taste. The beer was Veldensteiner, which was quite okay.

Very tasty, authentic Franconian cuisine and extremely friendly and flexible staff. Clearly recommended for anyone who is thirsty for “dumplings with sauce”, a fantastic schnitzel or “ice cream with hot”. 😉

Delicious food, comfortable outdoor seating, friendly service, and parking across the street. However, reservations are recommended on nice weather and weekends, as it's always busy. The beer is typically Franconian and therefore delicious.

Great German/Franconian food. Unfortunately, you have to make a reservation days in advance. It's impossible to drop by spontaneously or just like that, all tables are always reserved!

There is consistently good and inexpensive food

Very nice inn with rustic charm and good attentive service. There is a daily menu in addition to the menu. I had a delicious schnitzel with potato salad and a side salad that left me completely satisfied. Definitely recommended, will stop by again.

Our first port of call on a Sunday when you're in the mood for really good Franconian food!

I have known this inn since my childhood. In 1985 we celebrated my confirmation with senior boss Martin in this restaurant. Since then we have been there every now and then. I can say with a clear conscience that the food tastes very good.

Went to my birthday party with friends. My expectations were not disappointed. Jagerbraten was delicious.

As always, it was very, very good. Cuisine, service and ambience - everything is harmonious!

We were here for lunch on Sunday. Quaint house but beautifully maintained. The waitresses were nice and the food was great 👌😆 Liver dumpling soup, pepper roast and 1/4 duck. We'll definitely come back 😁😋

I would love to come back. Excellent food, rich, hot. Staff excellent. I will recommend the country inn. A shortcoming that the inn cannot help with is that the route is difficult to reach due to construction work.

Unfortunately the highlight was the salad dressing and the juicy not the main course but the price. The pork loin was very tough and it took some effort to cut it with cutlery. Duchess potatoes a bit too crispy, but that's just for my taste.. Otherwise, nice atmosphere and attentive service staff. Since the other dishes looked good, I would give this inn another chance.

When you go into the inn there is a good ambience and also good service. BUT: In order to be able to go to the inn, calls should also be answered. Tried to call there several times in the last few days without success. Nobody can be reached… This is really bad service outside of in-house consumption….

A very cozy restaurant The waitresses were attentive, very friendly and the food came to the table quickly. The sauerbraten sauce was a bit too sweet for me but all in all I highly recommend it.

Unfortunately the food was better, maybe I just had a bad day. I specifically brought my American friends to eat the “best schnitzel” :(

Delicious Franconian food. The room is cozy, as was typical of Franconian inns in the past. Service was very friendly and on point. Roast pork with crust was very tasty. The inn is always very busy, so reservations are necessary.

Excellent food and very good service. Always full. It's better to order in advance or take your food with you. Unfortunately very small and narrow.

Carp baked with salad was good and plentiful Pan schnitzel (?) ok but: 3 tasteless frozen apple fritters with vanilla ice cream €6.50 is not possible. Not recommended, you should take it off the menu. If apple fritters are made, then homemade. Finally: “Alter Apfelbrand” 2 cl for 5.60!!! is already very violent. = 1 liter € 280.-- awesome price

Sehr leckeres Essen zu angemessenen Preisen. Insbesondere die gebratenen Gänse waren top und sind absolut empfehlenswert! Bei dem ausgesprochen freundlichen und aufmerksamen Service fühlt man sich als Gast willkommen. Es gibt dazu auch noch verschiedene Biersorten vom Faß. Was will man mehr.

Wir waren mit großer Gruppe vor Ort. Speisen sind sehr schmackhaft. Portionen sind reichlich. Die Damen vom Service sind überaus freundlich und "auf Zack". Ein Besuch ist immer zu empfehlen 😀.

Gutes Essen,fränkisch,freundliche und schnelle Bedienungen.

Ich habe erst lange überlegt, ob ich eine Bewertung abgebe, aber die Enttäuschung ist leider immer noch groß. Wir haben am Sonntag für eine Tauffeier für 30 Gäste, wohlgemerkt 4 Monate vorher, reserviert. Am Vortag haben wir extra noch Deko hingefahren und sind davon ausgegangen, dass für uns schön, einer Tauffeier angemessen, dekoriert wird. Ok wir geben zu wir waren eher da, haben auch gewartet, aber die Plätze an denen dann die Feier stattfinden sollte, waren noch mit Mittagsgästen besetzt. Unsere vorsortierte Deko wurde lieblos auf dem Tisch verteilt von einer gestressten Servicekraft, die meiner Meinung nach nicht freundlich war. Unter normalen Umständen sage ich da auch nichts, aber gerade weil wir für einen besonderen Anlass reserviert haben und wir uns quasi selbst um Deko und eindecken mit Servietten kümmern mussten ein ‚No-Go‘ - Das Essen hat allen geschmeckt, aber das drumherum hat einen faden Beigeschmack, deswegen werden wir ganz sicher nicht mehr im Gasthaus Hubert mit mehreren Personen kommen.

Ein gut bürgerliches Gasthaus mit annehmbaren Preisen. Wir gehen gern zum Essen hin. Leider dürfen keine Hunde rein, wenn wanderen mit Hund einkehren möchte, dann müssen die woanders hin gehen. Ich finde es sehr schade, den Gäste mit Hund sind meist solvent. Aber Gott sei Dank kann man fast sonst in jedes andere Restaurant seinen Hund mitbringen.

Wir gehen hier sehr gerne essen. Das Essen ist typisch fränkisch, der Service immer sehr gut. Das Gasthaus ist immer sehr gut besucht, wer sicher einen Platz möchte sollte vorher kurz anrufen.

Ein familiengeführtes, typisch fränkisches Gasthaus, im wahrsten Sinne. Sehr freundliche Bedienung, die Sitzplätze vor dem Haus und auf dem Hof urgemütlich. Die fränkischen Speisen sind sehr zu empfehlen, das ausgeschenkte Bier vom regionalen Bierbrauer - süffig. Das Preis-Leistungsverhältnis super!

Klasse Speisen, hatten Ente, Schäuferle und Schweinesteaks sowie Nachspeise, alles prima, netter Service... gerne wieder!

Essen kam erst nach 45 min, obwohl die Gaststätte halb leer war. Die Bedienungen waren sehr bemüht und nett, das Essen mit leichten Abstrichen gut.

wir waren eine Gruppe (9 Pers.), die nach dem Wandern zum Essen eingekehrt war (hatten reserviert), es war schon kurz nach 13 Uhr, leider gab es nicht mehr alle Speisen. Wir wurden trotzdem alle satt und es hat allen gut geschmeckt. Der Gasthof ist eine gute Adresse für gutes Essen.

Wir haben vor Ort gegessen sowie zum Mitnehmen bestellt Mittagessen und Abendessen und waren jedesmal begeistert vom Braten oder Schnitzel bis zum Fitness Salat mit Mozzarella Sticks und Balsamico Dressing waren und sind wir mehr als zufrieden und auch Preisleistung kann man nicht meckern Service Personal stets freundlich zuvorkommend und flink. Sehr schöner Biergarten und im Winter kann man den gemütlichen Gastraum genießen Wir sind gerne hier Gäste und kommen wieder. Wir können Landgasthaus Hubert in Rettern wärmstens weiter empfehlen

Endlich mal wieder eine Ente gegessen, die Geschmack hatte, butterzart war und die Portion gerade richtig von der Größe her war. Zwei Klöße und gut abgeschmecktes Blaukraut. Das wurde anlässlich einer Taufe auf den Speiseplan nach Wunsch hinzugefügt.

Danke für den kurzen, unkomplizierten Platz neben der Theke. Wir hatten wirklich Hunger und der wurde uns durch sehr gutes Essen belohnt.

Wir waren mit Freunden aus dem Siegerland Kalbshachsen essen. Ein Traum mit allem, Klöße, Blaukraut, Wirsing und Salat. Die Begeisterung war unglaublich 😻. Zum Schluss bekam noch eine ein Weizen Glas, mit Schokolade von der Chefin gefüllt mit. Da die Weizen Gläser mit Geschichte sammelt. Die Geschichte Kalbshachsen.😊😊

Essen und Ambiente ist sehr gut. Aber für mich ist es ein großer minus Punkt das auf der Webseite steht Hunde erlaubt und dann steht am Eingang Hunde müssen draußen bleiben . Hätten wir das gewusst hätten wir eine Alternative für unsere Hund gesucht und ihn nicht mitgenommen. Da wir zu einer Familie Feier eingeladen waren , zwei Stunden anfahrt hatten , gab es jetzt auch nicht die Alternative woanders essen zu gehen und unser Wuffel musste den ganzen Nachmittag im Auto bleiben . Wir sind zwar alle zwei Stunden mit ihm Spazieren gegangen , aber Wetter war halt auch nicht super . Das ist für mich ein Grund hier nicht mehr herzukommen . Schade .

Waren am Karfreitag zum Mittagessen dort, Zanderfilet, Karpfen sehr lecker. Kann man empfehlen.
