Lamore da Massimo in Nürnberg

First impression: incredibly crowded and incredibly loud; conversations are almost impossible unless you shout over your neighbor. The service isn't very attentive; three staff members came by within a minute to ask if we had ordered. Despite explicitly mentioning several times that I have an allergy and don't eat spicy food, the food was spicy. The portions are completely disproportionate to the price. A plate of pasta for €30 raises expectations considerably...

I would like to give special mention to the staff. The antipasti were very good; for the pasta served from the Parmesan wheel, it would have been better if I, as a guest, could choose whether I wanted it flambéed with alcohol or not. The tagliata di manzo was delicious. The lemon sorbet to finish, even though it wasn't homemade, was very tasty. As an Italy enthusiast, I was disappointed by the absence of Chianti Classico wines on the wine list. The ambiance is modern.

We had a wonderful evening (on a Tuesday in a busy restaurant) with very good food and drinks. I would especially like to highlight the excellent service! Everyone was quick, efficient, unobtrusive, and very friendly!

The day before yesterday at Massimo's – it was indescribable – the welcome and the service were warm and personal. The appetizers were absolutely delicious and whetted our appetites even more for the main course. The wine – recommended by the chef – perfectly complemented the meal. Then came the pasta served from a Parmesan wheel with truffles – almost better than sex! The truffles were fresh from Alba – Massimo's hometown – the aroma alone was breathtaking. The butter sauce – also recommended by the chef – perfectly captured and enhanced the aroma of the fresh truffles – it was incredible! The Parmesan that the hot pasta absorbed from the wheel was absolutely perfect on the palate – you can't imagine it unless you try it yourself. Then the pasta served from the wheel was simply divine – you can't imagine it unless you've tried it. A perfect 11 out of 10. And the best part for me, I ran 12k around Nuremberg's old town beforehand and had absolutely no complaints about the calories I consumed 😁😁😁. In short – truffle pasta served from a Parmesan wheel at Massimo's once a month is a must 🤩🤩🤩.

It was simply heavenly. And the dessert platter was a dream. I was also surprised with a birthday tiramisu complete with a fountain and music. I can wholeheartedly recommend it.

The price is out of proportion to the food. Tasty, but very expensive, and the service is very pushy.

Highly recommended! Everything was spot on and incredibly delicious! From buffalo mozzarella to sole, tagliata, and filet with truffle parmesan pasta. Reservations are recommended; there's a parking garage right around the corner or the Weisserturm subway station.

From the moment you enter, you feel the passion and authenticity – a touch of Italy in every detail. The service was simply magnificent: attentive, warm, and yet unobtrusively professional. You felt not like a guest, but rather a welcome friend of the house. The culinary highlight of the evening was my tagliatelle with salmon and spinach – a poem of flavor and perfection. The pasta was cooked to perfection al dente, the salmon was tenderly fresh, and the spinach was delicately seasoned – all harmoniously embedded in a creamy sauce that radiated with refinement. Every bite was a little feast, a symphony of Mediterranean flavors. This restaurant knows how to combine hospitality and culinary art at the highest level. Everything is just right here: ambiance, service, quality, and atmosphere. Anyone who loves Italian cuisine will rediscover it here. I will definitely be back – as soon as possible!

Based on the great reviews from other reviewers, we tried the restaurant today. We were a bit disappointed: the chairs were very comfortable, but the tables were very close together. The place was buzzing, and you could definitely tell. The food and drinks were tasty, but not exceptionally delicious. And for that, the price is quite high – unjustified in our opinion. The service – perhaps also due to the fact that the restaurant was packed – was not particularly attentive and rushed. Drinks were forgotten or mixed up. The dishes arrived at very different times. Maybe we just caught a "bad" evening. But when you pay at least €20 for a meager plate of pasta and a good €40 for a main course (side dishes are extra), you do think twice about whether you really want to try it again.

Service was fast and good. The relatively small portions were tasty. The restaurant's value for money was definitely in favor. Too many tables (including camping tables) in the room.

Delicious! Wish I could have tried the whole menu! The burrata appetizer was our absolute favorite. Mushroom tortellini and shrimp scampi were a pleasant surprise. Also great espresso martinis of course.

Does an Italian restaurant always have to be a pizzeria? No, in this case, you're going to the best Italian restaurant in Nuremberg, without the pizzas. We've been to Lamore da Massimo several times and will definitely keep coming back. The linguine tossed in a Parmesan cheese wheel is a particular delight. But the ravioli filled with ricotta and spinach or spaghetti frutti di mare are also excellent. The staff is always friendly and helpful.

Sensational food, such delicious Italian cuisine! Highly recommended because the service is also super friendly and you feel like you're in Italy. The restaurant is very large, so it's not really suitable for a romantic evening, and the smaller tables are very close together. So, top notch! Keep it up!

A good place in itself. The food is really very good, but the service is abysmal for a "fine dining" restaurant. The service is more like a bar. One waiter simply nudged a friend's shoulder without asking, empty plates sometimes remained on the table for ages, and people were busy right next to people without maintaining a comfortable distance (e.g., bringing and clearing plates, as well as glasses). Overall, it's a bit of a high-level nitpicking, but that's entirely to be expected from a restaurant that promotes "fine dining" and charges the corresponding prices.

Unfortunately, the plates weren't completely clean upon arrival. The food overall was rather disappointing—edible, though. The beef fillet, in particular, was still raw and very tough—to be honest, at €40, I would have expected a lot more.

WOW. Absolutely spectacular experience. My dad and I stayed in Nuremberg for a few days and ended up coming here TWICE! Food: Both nights we got the appetizer platter which is AMAZING. Wonderful variety, both times we scraped it clean Lol. First night I stupidly didnt see the cream sauce options for pasta (Under BAVETTE on the menu) and got the "MACCHERONCINI VERDI CON SALSA DI POMODORINI E BASILICO FRESCO" (Green maccheroncini with cherry tomato sauce and fresh basil). It was wonderful! The pasta was perfectly Al dente, chewy and just wonderful. Great flavor in the sauce too. My dad got the FILETTO DI MANZO CON CREMA DI TARTUFO E PORCINI (New Zealand beef tenderloin with porcini mushroom truffle creme starting 210g), which I had some of and it truly blew my socks off. I hate mushrooms, I refuse to eat them, but this sauce was absolutely delicious. We got the DESSERT L’AMORE which was great! Comes with three desserts, TIRAMISU, Cream pudding with strawberry sauce, and profiterole (chocolate cream puff). the Profiterole stole the show in my mind whereas the others were just good. Second trip here we got even more food! Had to do another appetizer platter , which was just as good as before! This time my dumb american brain put the pieces together and realized they did in fact have and still use the parmesan cheese wheel pictured on their sight and around the restaurant. My dad got the BAVETTE SCAMPI & I got the Bavette that comes with beef tenderloin (50€, not listed on the online menu for some reason?) and then my dad also got the steak from the other night again too. Shrimp was good, you just get a few but they are pretty big. Mine had a few tenderloin medallions, which were spectacular. Really great flavor, and a perfect portion of steak with the pasta. I don't even know where to start with the pasta. Wow. I have been a life long pasta fan since I was a very young child. Pasta with butter & parmesan cheese has been my go to safe food for years. I am very picky about my pasta. That said, this may be within the top 5 pastas I have ever had in my entire life. Insanely good sauce- extremely rich, creamy and salty. Very nice though not overwhelming truffle flavor without any chunks or bumps to disrupt the texture. Silky smoothness that sits on your palette just right. The truffled shaved on top was a bonus, nice texture similar to a thinly sliced potato. Noodles themselves were perfectly cooked and tasted fresh, great texture. Drinks: Not bad, but the food was the real star here Service: Despite our lack of speaking german it was still wonderful! Everyone was kind & open to answering our questions when asked. The presentation and delivery of the food- specifically the stuff in the cheese wheel- was a huge part of the experience, really spectacular stuff. Both waiters gave me permission to record it too! Was a good time. Ambiance: First night we showed up it was pretty empty so nice and quiet, calm, relaxed. Second night we got a reservation and it was a bit more crowded but still tame and not extremely loud or anything Overall: I WILL BE BACK AND YOU SHOULD GO TOO!!!!

We ate carpaccio and mozzarella aubergine as starters and they were really delicious. And we chose bavette linguini with truffle and gnocchi with burrata as main meal. They were also really great! Strongly suggested to visit and eat!

Italian gourmet restaurant offering, among other things, pasta wrapped in Parmesan cheese. Relaxed atmosphere and understated decor. Service is attentive but not intrusive and very friendly. The food was consistently very good and served quickly. If you're looking for pizza, you won't find it here, but you'll find a selection of other high-quality dishes. The prices are high but also reasonable. The taste is great. Portions are reasonable. A great restaurant manager who cares about his guests.
