We decided to order food and pick it up. The staff were extremely friendly and accommodating. The food was really extremely tasty. The atmosphere in the restaurant also seemed very pleasant, I think it is also a nice experience to dine in the restaurant.

We dined at this restaurant around 6pm on a Sunday evening last week. Surprisingly, there were still many tables available. The food was first class, the service was knowledgeable and very friendly. Prices were average. The furnishings are rather simple, but cozy. Overall, I can definitely recommend the restaurant.

Had dinner here with a colleague as part of a business trip. We were thrilled with both the taste of our dishes and the courteous service - again at any time!

I was in Cologne for work and was hungry for Thai Tom Kha Gai and fresh ginger tea in the evening. The gentleman was super nice and pays a lot of attention to the well-being of his guests. He also immediately asked whether everything tasted good and whether he was satisfied. I felt very well looked after. Thank you and see you next time

The waiter is very nice, but x 3 drinks, 1 Thai beer, a water, 2 pad thai with chicken, curry dish number 32 with chicken and 1 dish of summer roll....87e!!!!! The normal quantity dishes... nothing out of this world... yes, they were good, nothing to object in that sense. I wouldn't repeat the price, otherwise nothing to object to. Maybe we didn't calculate the cost of the dishes correctly and hence the surprise in the price. All the best.

Was staying over the road in an apartment hotel and wanted a quick dinner. Walked in and ordered take out which was no problem. Staff were super friendly and very accommodating. We didn't wait long until our food came out. The food was DELICIOUS! The peanut sauce was like I was back in Thailand. Would highly recommend and would definitely return if ever back in Köln! Very reasonably priced.

Thank you very much, the food was more than wonderful. We went there spontaneously today after being shown to our seat in the reserved Okinii across the street and after 15 minutes of waiting we still received no attention. We then noticed the restaurant opposite, which seemed much cozier. So I quickly decided to change the side of the street. It was worth it! Best roast duck I've ever eaten, the other dishes (fried noodles and curry dish) equally fantastic. A starter platter for two people was very tasty and more than enough for three people. We'll be back.

Apart from the stairs to the toilets, there is nothing to complain about with this restaurant. The people who work at Lai Thai 2 are very friendly and committed. The mango sticky rice that was recommended to us there was so good that I can't get it out of my head. But the main course was also excellent!

We were looking for sticky rice and found it at LauThai. Of course we also had other dishes. The dishes were typically Thai with fresh ingredients and very tasty homemade sauces. The employees were very nice and gave us good tips when making our selection. We can recommend Lai Thai 100 percent.

We were invited here for a birthday and had a lovely meal and celebration. It tasted extremely good. And I can recommend taking the bedside table! Both the baked banana and baked pineapple are very tasty. The Aperol Spritz was also very well made.

I've been here many times and most recently for a birthday dinner with some guests. Not only was it a great evening with, as always, delicious food, the service and the attentiveness of the service staff was also exceptionally good and the friendliness anyway! I can only recommend!

Excellent and under rated Thai restaurant. Food has been good every time I've visited, 3 times in the last week and service has been exemplary. There is an English menu too which helps if your German is not up to scratch. Definitely recommended and worth trying if you're in Koln.

The hammer!!! We haven't eaten THAT well in ages. My husband was still full the next day 😊 The starter platter for 2 was very rich. There was a bit of everything. Wonton, chicken skewers, fried cheese balls & shrimp. Combined with homemade sauces. And all of this in 2 or 4 times as many. The main courses were also very attractively prepared and extremely tasty. My husband had crispy duck and I followed the friendly waiter's recommendation and had spicier prawns in curry with vegetables. Of course there was also a large bowl of rice. Really, really good! I also had an alcohol-free “thirst quencher” with mango & mint 😋 wonderfully refreshing and delicious 😃 At the end we found out that the mother still cooks herself and that it is a family business. The senior partner lives his job and loves what he does. You totally notice that. In no time you can switch from Cologne/High German to English. He exudes a good mood and has a good word for everyone! If we are in Cologne again, we will definitely come back!!! A small star deduction for the ambience. It's nicely furnished, but the large windows make you feel like you're sitting "on the street". Some striking plants would certainly do very well. And the entrance area is also a bit carelessly designed. But!! That's not the point!!!!

I stayed at the Motel One in Cologne and found this Thai place right around the corner. The food was good, as a starter I had the summer rolls with chicken, very tasty. Main course, green curry with beef, was on the menu 🌶️🌶️🌶️ but for me it was rather harmless, vegetables were crunchy, quantity was good, but not outstanding. The service was attentive and friendly. The ambience is like this, a little embellished with Asian figures, reheating with a gas oven is not possible. Would probably choose a different restaurant next time.

Patrick is our Star (pun intended). Wir hatten einen super lustigen und leckeren Abend mit Patrick als unseren Host. Ich glaube noch nie so herzlich gelacht zu haben bei einem Restaurantbesuch. Patrick könnte auch ohne Probleme standup comedian sein! Wir waren am 31.12 im Lai Thai und habe vorab einen Sekt, der super leckere gewesen ist, aufs Haus bekommen. Eine Freundin die kein Alkohol trinkt hat einfach einen Ipanema bekommen (sehr aufmerksam). Auch das Essen hat uns allen sehr gut geschmeckt. Die Schärfe war völlig okay. Hinterher gab es noch ein aufs Haus zum warm werden ;) Ein Highlight waren die mit Mangoreis gefüllten Frühlingsrollen von der secret Dessertkarte ;) Lediglich das Ambiente wirkt etwas kalt. Mit ein paar dezenten Upgrades bei der Einrichtung /Deko könnte man das Restaurant noch gemütlicher gestalten.

Gleich vorweg es war lecker, aber sehr flüssig von den Kosten her. aber irgendwie hat der Kik auch gefehlt, um hier noch einmal essen zu gehen Das Personal war super freundlich. Selbst die vorsuppe war leckerer als der hauptgang. Ich wuerde nicht sagen, es war schlecht aber das typische für den Geschmack hat gefehlt.

Waren zum 1.mal bei Lai Thai2;wurden herzlich empfangen und sehr nett und schnell bedient;hatten eine Vielzahl an Vorspeisen bis zur Hauptspeise,Qualität des Essen war gut und schmackhaft,sehr nette Mitarbeiter,parken gegenüber im Parkhaus

Super Essen/Qualität, man erinnert sich direkt an den letzten Thailandurlaub, Service sehr freundlich, fairer Preis - war schon ein paar mal dort und immer wenn ich in Köln bin steuere ich gern dieses Restaurant an! Ich kann es uneingeschränkt empfehlen!
