LACANTO Restaurant & Biergarten in Freising

We had the pleasure of being provided with delicious lunch by LACANTO over two days as part of our event - and it was fantastic! The collaboration was very easy, pleasant and courteous right from the start. The team was extremely professional and friendly and everything went smoothly from planning to delivery. We were particularly impressed by the quality of the food: fresh ingredients, perfectly prepared, and there was something for every taste. Special requests were also addressed flexibly and easily. The staff were always friendly and helpful, and the presentation of the dishes was as appealing as the taste. Overall the service was first class and we highly recommend LACANTO! Thank you for the great support and delicious meals – see you next time!

Things have gotten really good since reopening. Food and service very good. The ambience was nice before and has remained so. Now with service a pretty good price/performance ratio.

It's actually beautifully laid out and there's a friendly atmosphere inside with the wood...a manageable selection of food, which is also delicious! There is also good coffee - unfortunately the third tenant is already there (apparently there are restrictive contracts for the tenants) and the associated changing offers - Basically it's a great location, especially for events in the summer...but somehow everyone runs into the city...I don't understand!🤷🏻 ..there are even parking spaces opposite and you can also park easily at the library and wouldn't have to walk too far! You can enter at ground level..☺️ I would be happy if it were a little better attended!, ☺️🫶🏻

Food was fresh, tasted very good and the portion size was right. Good price-performance ratio. Nice atmosphere in a cozy location. Very slow but friendly service.

Food is great, BUT the service is a disaster. You wait forever to even get the card, not to mention ordering. And if you want to order at the counter inside, the boss just sends you away and tells you to order from the waitress. It's a real shame because the location is great as a TUM employee, but it's definitely not a recommendation if you want to grab something to eat during your lunch break.

Nice local. But the portion sizes are sometimes very small for the price. 8€ for gnocchi in a children's portion. If you want to fill up, I tend to recommend the Weihenstephan beer garden or the cafeteria. Nice atmosphere, friendly staff.

Portion is a joke had to pay 4 euros for extra meat that wasn't available. There is no communication between the employees. 12 90 for a little rice with little egg and vegetables didn't fill me up at all.

Really nice modern restaurant with a nice simple outdoor area. Good food, value for money is the best, we would love to come back.

Very nice location. Excellent price for beer at €3.50. Very courteous staff and varied lunch menu. Worth a visit since the restructuring. I felt very well. Gladly again.

A great concept and interesting map. Unfortunately, it is not clearly communicated online when it is actually open. I've stood in front of closed doors SEVERAL TIMES :-O. Company holidays, renovation, realignment or similar. It's a shame. Thank you for the nice answer! The updates online would be really helpful. I'd like to try it again :-) ... A few months later: It's now open regularly, the girls are very nice and the food is something different. Self-service is no problem at all. Gladly again. Keep it up! :-) The food is really something different and very tasty - especially the salads. However, I personally think the price for a hot dog is too high at around 12 euros, even if it is larger than normal and certainly of higher quality. With side dish(s) you can quickly reach 16 euros (currently already reduced menu price) - students probably can't afford that as often as they would like. Otherwise, as I said, a good alternative and would be happy again.

Brilliant food in an impressive location. Whether it's a hot dog in creative variations, a refreshing bowl or crispy fries... everything is lovingly prepared and consistently delicious. If you take a detour to the Weihenstephan Staudengarten or visit Freising city center, you have to stop here. Absolute recommendation!

Freising's ray of hope! A progressive concept with mostly sustainable, high quality food makes for a breathbof fresh air to the usual tired offering in the town centre. Hope they eventually become popular enough to open on a Saturday. Thanks Lacanto I already love you. 🥰

Absolutely the best thing to happen on the Weihenstephan campus in years! Wonderful atmosphere, I love the lively mix of students and local residents. It is the perfect spot for lunch or meetings. Great job. I highly recommend it.

Wir haben unsere Firmen-Weihnachtsfeier mit 20 Personen im Lacanto gefeiert und waren absolut begeistert! Von einer netten und schnellen Kommunikation, über die Menüzusammenstellung, das Ambiente, Service und Geschmack war alles rundum gelungen. Die verschiedenen Gänge waren wunderschön angerichtet und bereiteten uns eine echt Gaumenfreude. Man sieht sofort, dass hier mit Herz und Verstand gekocht wird. Für uns stimmte das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis vollkommen. Für gute Qualität zahle ich gerne den ein oder anderen Euro mehr! Weiter so, wir kommen ganz sicher wieder!! :)

Hatten unsere Weihnachtsfeier im Lancanto. Es gab Aufschnitt mit Lachs auf Etageren, Butter und Marmelade á part, in kleinen Gläschen Müsli und Joghurt. Es war sehr lecker 😊 Der Kaffee und der Sekt sind auch sehr gut 👍 Falls Nachschub benötigt wird, ist der Service sehr flott 👍👍

Modernes Restaurant mit einer geringen Anzahl aber sehr guter Gerichte. Gute Atmosphäre, auch mal zum sitzen bleiben. Für nette Gespräche oder Arbeiten am Notebook.

Sehr gutes, frisches Essen. Leider sehr kleine Portionen, dafür sehr teuer. Frisches Gemüse leider oft Zwiebeln und Bohnen, davon reichlich und fast roh. Zu Vitaminerhalt schon gut, aber ein bisschen zu roh. Wären die Portionen größer, also auch z. B. der Nudelanteil (nicht nur Gemüse) und etwas günstiger, dann wäre es super, da Ambiente sehr gelungen ist.

It’s a dream cafe. Amazing staff, healthy food, insanely clean. Such nice vibes. The toilet has its own soothing music which makes the experience very pleasant. Vegan options are available both for food and coffee. Highly recommended.

Hochwertige und frische Küche mit super netten Service. Die Speisen sind modern, gesund und sehr lecker. Die wöchentlich wechselnde Speisenkarte bringt eine schöne und saisonale Abwechslung. Komme immer wieder gerne.
