Far from being Italian food, pasta has nothing to do with real pasta.

Love the option to veganize any pizza with vegan cheese here! Totally lovely staff, I like going here :)

For my birthday party, we spent a very cozy evening at La Sophia in a slightly larger group. It worked wonderfully, from pre-ordering the food to individual music requests after the store closed, many thanks to the whole team, happy again <3

The tiramisu is the best I've ever had in Munich! A lot of mascarpone and with raspberry on top… ufff. I ordered the truffle part, exquisite. The atmosphere is lively, bar style.. music and candles :)

Delicious food and friendly service

Cool shop: friendly and relaxed service in a cool atmosphere. The selection of food is not particularly large, but there were some "delivery problems" with our admittedly larger order: wrong dressing on the salad, forgotten rocket on the pizza and one pizza was apparently "forgotten" in the kitchen and then brought when asked. But it was still tasty and it was a nice evening.

This was my second time celebrating a wonderful birthday party at La Sophia. After there was initially a slight delay in serving wine and water, everything went great, so that overall it wasn't a big deal. The service was extremely nice and the food was really delicious, both of which were reported by many guests. Many thanks to everyone involved!

I was reading the reviews about the play area. The play area is used to entertain children while playing, this does not mean that they have the right to run up and down inside the restaurant. So dear parents it is a lack of respect towards those who work because you hinder the work of those poor kids who try to give you good table service. Take the children to the playground, not to a restaurant to make themselves comfortable as if they were at home.

We became aware of the café through an article in the SZ. “Kid-friendly” was the attribute we were looking for. Unfortunately, the staff was not child-friendly at all. As already described in another review, after less than 10 minutes in the café we were rightly told that our boys were not allowed to move back and forth between the play area and the table. The play area was really shabby and dirty. The couch, the play mat, the stuffed animals: everything was super dirty and greasy. No colored pencils, no paper at the painting table... The food was OK. We would have expected more than just 100ml for an orange juice for €5.50.

Restaurant thrives on ambience and service. Eat well too! At the end we even had the pleasure of drinking a Ramazotti with the owner and having a nice chat.

Shameless and disrespectful boss – never again!!!!!!!! My family and I have been regular guests at Café La Sofia. I often invited my friends and their children here because I thought it was a family-friendly place. But after my last visit, I will never enter this café again and will not recommend it to anyone again. My 2.5-year-old child came to our table several times and then went back to the playground - something completely normal for a toddler in a cafe with a children's corner. But that's exactly what bothered the restaurant's boss. Suddenly I was reprimanded in a rude and inappropriate manner. I explained to him that I was eating, whereupon he told me in a completely disrespectful tone that I should stop eating immediately, leave my husband at the table and sit on the playground with my child. Honestly, if I just want to sit in a playground, I can do that anywhere - I don't have to come to his cafe and spend money. I told him that a café that describes itself as child-friendly should also expect children to move freely. It's completely normal for them to walk back and forth between the parents' table and the play area. If that bothers him so much, then he should either ban children from entering or learn to treat small guests with respect. I then told him clearly: “You have no right to dictate to me like that or to criticize me for my child’s behavior.” His answer? “I can do anything.” I then told him just as clearly: “And I can do anything too.” It's simply unbelievable! Just because you own a restaurant doesn't give you the right to treat guests so disrespectfully. This is not how you treat customers - especially not regular customers who have been here regularly and have recommended the café to others. My family was deeply hurt by this disrespectful and arrogant manner. After this incident, I will never enter this cafe again and will also advise my friends not to do so. There are plenty of other places where guests are treated with respect.

Since we live right around the corner - we get pizzas regularly. Really nice people without exception and the pizzas are always delicious. We'd love to come over.

I visited here at lunchtime to eat pizza. Both the boss and the staff present were super friendly. I was told it would take a short time to eat as we were in the transition from breakfast to lunch. After ordering, I didn't have to wait long for my very good food. All in all, a very smooth process. I can only recommend it.

It's always amazing how you feel like you've found a culinary oasis as soon as you enter. The great, super nice service staff then completes this picture. The presentation of the dishes is very appealing and lovingly different. We have never been disappointed in terms of taste. Keep it up.

Extremely nice service, very good food from the antipasti to the pasta to the pizzas.

Instead of the planned 8 people, there were only five of us due to illness. Team Sophia's reaction: 'then you have more room for your elbows!' No condescending, annoyed look or stroppy reaction, as is now the case in many restaurants.

After two visits I can say that you forget time in this pleasant restaurant. You feel very comfortable because you can “be” there and are also well informed and advised. Great staff, I think. 🤗

We had dinner on Saturday night. Truly amazing food. We took the tuna in crust which was simply fantastic plus some really excellent and creamy pastas like we have only eaten in Italy. I really recommend trying the cuisine of this excellent restaurant

15€ for a bread with avocado, two eggs and a few tomatoes is just cheeky. Never again.

There were 6 of us with an active toddler. The food was wonderful (especially the tiramisu), the staff was super friendly and the reading corner (although a bit battered) was a great opportunity to keep the little ones busy without disturbing other guests. I come here very often. Its a good point for a lunch or coffee break if I am around for a walk. I like the pizzas and the staff but the service is always slow. And for a while inside looks like place is in renovation, the atmosphere is different. The edge for children books are very untidy and dirty. Please take care of it a bit.

I really enjoyed truffle pasta here. It was just perfectly light tagliolini pasta with lots of delicate truffle shavings. Very aromatic, perfectly seasoned. Very friendly service and relaxed but cosy atmosphere. Perfect place to meet with friends.

The calzones were impressive, wood-fired flavor. Highly recommended.

We have been to La Sophia four years ago, when we (a group of 5 people) were told that we could order pizza, but there was no cheese left. Which was very surprising at the time, as the evening only started at 6 p.m. The service was also very inattentive and rather preoccupied with itself. Since everyone deserves a second chance, we recently went to La Sophia again and were greeted with the following information: “There are no pasta dishes today”. This time the service was again not very attentive and service-oriented. The drinks and food were served to you without a word. Unfortunately, the restaurant couldn't win us over again. In my opinion, there are much better places in Munich - which also offer better value for money.

We had a reservation for lunch. The reservation was forgotten, we were put in the last corner with 2 small children. There is nothing online saying that there is only breakfast at lunchtime - we were told that on site. Instead of offering us pizza (the pizza oven was already running at 100% at the time) they let us sit and didn't bother us any further. As an ex-hotelier, I saw straight away that the two waiters were extremely overwhelmed that day (September 29th). We then left. Extremely unfriendly, the statement was “when I started here it was online”. Well, that doesn't matter... but the waitress probably never learned how to behave professionally. I know the food from before - it's totally overrated. Coffee is good - but it's available everywhere.

Food was delicious, ambience is okay, but it gets very, very loud due to the high and very open space. Tables are extremely close together. Unfortunately we were a bit disappointed with the service. There was about 60 minutes between the starter (bruschetta) and the main course (pizza). Other guests who came after us had their food much earlier. Unfortunately it was far too long for us - we suspect that we were forgotten, but unfortunately there was no apology or brief communication. My drink - a light 0.5l - was unfortunately poured so badly that it was only 0.3 in total. The waiter was asked about this and replied: “Yes, we can refill” - unfortunately this didn’t happen. Unfortunately there is no discount in the price. Overall, it's a shame because the food was delicious. The rest was less pleasant.

Hospitality, food, everything was great. Unfortunately the octopus was forgotten in the starter, so one star was deducted. Otherwise we were completely satisfied and will be back.

The food was delicious. The prices are good. But I give 3 stars because the state of the women's toilet is terrible. There are spiders and huge cobwebs on the ceiling. I don't understand why no one cares about this.

A really nice place. Vegetarian starter plate with fresh bread, pizza and decent wine. Everything was rounded off by one of the most personable waiters in Munich. We'll be back.

We enjoyed a lovely italian dinner at this restaurant. Staff were friendly and attentive. Food was reasonably priced and yummy.

The carbonara was nothing and despite the “original recipe” had some craftsmanship errors: - Guanciale is only cooked and tasteless, therefore greasy and absolutely crispy...that's not how you do it and it doesn't taste good either - Spaghetti with apparently very little yolk, almost white - Spaghettini instead of spaghettoni, which doesn't work with carbonara because everything turns into lumps

Unfortunately, it's much less child-friendly than before. Almost all the toys have disappeared from the play corner and it is now called the “reading corner”. It's a shame, La Sophia was one of the few cafés that we could easily visit with children. Now it's just an ordinary cafe like any other. 😔

The food was very good and the ambience itself is also very nice. However, it is very loud and we ended up having to wait a long time before we could pay.

The service was extremely inattentive and constantly forgot something, the food just wasn't good enough for the price, the gluten-free pizza was really bad and the atmosphere was very hectic. We won't be coming back. For that price you can get really better pizza in a more cozy atmosphere in Munich.

Great relaxed service - super nice, friendly, patient. We felt very comfortable. It was a bit tight at the beginning due to a lot of reservations (school day), but still a great atmosphere. Food was also good, one thing or another is just a matter of taste. Always my pleasure!

Pizza not so good, I ordered it to be picked up, it said 20 minutes and I waited 45 minutes, no apology or anything like that. As I said, pizza doesn't taste anything special. And then also 16€... I'll probably go back to the other pizzerias in the area, what a shame

I went to the isar river and then to la Sophia for Lunch. Awesome tasty pizza around 4 pm onwards. Nice staff , especially Ana was very helpful, she knows English along with German. Highly recommended for a nice time.

There were three of us on Saturday. Two dishes came at the same time. After we asked several times for the third portion, it came This only after we were finished. We actually wanted to have dinner together. I ordered an "Insalata tagliata". For a handful of arugula and two small cocktail tomatoes and a little The restaurant charges a whopping 21.90 euros for each strip of beef fillet... an absolute disgrace for me.

Delicious fresh and real Italian food for a very fair price. The menu is sometimes unclear on the website, but there is an extensive menu with pasta, pizza and salads. Atmosphere is cozy and cozy, inside and outside.

A special highlight of our visit to Munich were the two evenings at La Sophia - "Sopherl": the best quality of food at affordable prices. Pleasantly designed rooms and the terrace in the green on the edge of the Oberau meant that we didn't have to think about going anywhere else for the second evening seek. Food was great, portions normal, not big, but for me personally it was just right. It was very loud in the shop and the furniture was quite outdated, wooden chairs, scratched tables, maybe it was intended that way and is charming)) despite the fact that it was shortly before closing time, we had to wait a while until the menu cards were brought and after we had water ordered and wanted to continue ordering an aperitif, the condition was already gone. Then no aperitifs. What I found sweet was that we were asked if we wanted to drink coffee later or could the coffee machine be cleaned?)
