La Residenza in Karlshagen

We came to the restaurant today without a reservation (four adults and two children), but we were still offered a seat. They very politely informed us that the table was reserved from 7:30 p.m. But that was enough for us, as we arrived at the restaurant around 5:00 p.m. The service was incredibly friendly and very attentive, and we all enjoyed the food. My portion could have been a bit larger, but that could also have been because it was really delicious. We HIGHLY recommend the restaurant, and we will definitely eat there again. Compliments to the service and the chef.

Very good food. The staff is friendly, but they get hectic when it gets busy, resulting in long waits for refills or the bill. Still, it's a lovely restaurant that we'd happily return to.

We were there in the evening and it was quite busy, but we still managed to get a table right away. We were a little pressed for time, but the staff and kitchen staff accommodated this very well! Kudos to them! The food, both pizza and pasta, was delicious!

We were very satisfied with the food. The bruschetta burrata, in particular, is highly recommended. They were super friendly to our son. There are many outdoor spaces that could use a bit of sprucing up (tablecloth, rug, flowers, etc.), and there's always a commotion due to the crowds.

The food was delicious, and we received a warm welcome. The kids' pizza was delicious and plentiful. We'd be happy to come back, as the ice cream, cake, and coffee are also delicious. The price/performance ratio is very good here; some people could learn a thing or two from this place.

In our opinion, the best pizza ever! The pasta dishes are also highly recommended. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. Children are welcome, and dogs can also find a place outside. The ice cream for walk-in customers is highly recommended! We come here almost every day for dinner while on vacation.

I ordered 4 pizzas to take away, including a Belladonna. Three pizzas were okay, but instead of a Belladonna, they came with a Margherita. There's a €7 price difference between the two pizzas! Sure, that's one way to rip off vacationers. It's a shame; you don't really need that. So, people, go to other restaurants; at least they're honest there.

The food was truly excellent, and the service was super friendly and attentive. The value for money was also absolutely convincing. What we'd read in other reviews is true: The pizza could have been a bit more generously topped – but it still tasted really good. We also particularly liked the large selection of vegetarian dishes – so it's highly recommended for vegetarians too.

Yes, you can do it to "get full quickly when you're really hungry," but it wouldn't be my regular Italian restaurant where I get good Italian food. We've been there twice now because it was a good option for us, and I wanted to give it another chance with pizza after the pasta. It was okay. I'm not entirely comfortable with an Italian restaurant that doesn't have fresh garlic.

As every year, we're in Karlshagen starting in mid-June, and we visit the pizzeria then. We can always recommend it. Friendly staff and not exorbitant prices.

After being greeted by a very rude and arrogant waitress at the Italian restaurant next door, we went to La Residenza. The service was friendly and the food delicious. At the end, we got an ice cream from the counter, which we also enjoyed very much. Thank you!

The mushroom soup looked like a ready-made meal to me, and the flavor could have been improved. The service was super friendly, attentive, and always arrived quickly. The downside is definitely the dessert selection, because who wants Bavarian waffles or apple strudel at an Italian restaurant...

We had ordered a table for 6 people from you at Easter 5 weeks ago, but we were placed at a table for 4 people, which was far too small to spend a comfortable evening there. When we asked, we were told that we were a profit-oriented company and therefore could not respond to guests' wishes. That's what it means to us The guest is no longer the first priority, as it used to be, but only the profit. We've come this far We will avoid your restaurant in the future. We are not vacationers!!!!! We come from Karlshagen!!!!

After trying the ice cream and Belgian waffle there, we went there one day later in the evening. We weren't disappointed. A delicious starter is followed by the great main course. Food is always a matter of taste, but we were very satisfied. The icing on the cake is of course the service, here too we have no reason to complain. The whole thing was just great for us. We look forward to another enjoyable meal.

I highly recommend this restaurant. I had the pleasure of eating here two years ago and have been back several times in February 2025. Service was very pleasant. Our pizzas were a bit spicy; both were labeled as spicy, but only one was. Raw green peppers and dried basil aren't a good combination, especially since the dried basil had a very unpleasant smell. The toppings were very weak. Two strips of chicken on a whole Chef pizza is also very meager.

I'm not one for complaining, but we got the worst pizzas we've ever eaten here. They were very large, but there was very little topping on them. Both pizzas (four-cheese and Hawaiian) tasted of nothing; literally nothing at all. The crust was completely bland. On the four-cheese pizza, the advertised Gorgonzola was only visible in traces and there was no taste at all. The supposed feta was definitely cow's milk cheese, and the few pieces were probably counted. On the Hawaiian pizza, there were exactly two pieces of mozzarella, along with the cheapest cooked ham from the supermarket and a few pieces of canned pineapple. There wasn't a single seasoning on the pizza; absolutely nothing. Most frozen pizzas from discount stores taste better. We wouldn't eat there again and wouldn't recommend the restaurant to anyone.

A spontaneous pizza away from home was no problem and was processed quickly despite the restaurant being busy and the subsequent meal in the restaurant was also great If the path takes us to Karlshagen again, we will definitely stop there again.

What should be highlighted is the great staff. You feel welcome here. That makes a big difference. The prices are certainly appropriate for the location. But you also get a good selection and solidly prepared Italian dishes. Daily/weekly offers are also offered. Cakes also available to take away on display. We really enjoyed staying here and will definitely come back.

We have been coming to "La Residenza" twice a year for many years, on vacation, for an ice cream sundae or dinner. The first visit was almost the last. I wasn't too impressed with the schnitzel drowned in tomato sauce. But I generally don't like it when a crispy schnitzel is drowned in sauces and the crust becomes soggy. But since everyone with me deserves a second chance, I had another visit. And since then everything has been *super class*. We are always served in a nice and friendly manner and the food that went into our stomachs also tasted great. However, there is now a small downer. We are getting older and the portions are just too big. Of course, our waiter noticed that there was still a lot left over. We assured him that we enjoyed it, but that we just couldn't manage it. He said that for some dishes (of course not all) it would be entirely possible to make them smaller and thus adapt them to our eating habits. We will of course be happy to take advantage of this offer on our next visit. Because destroying food or having it destroyed is not part of my attitude to life. We will be happy to visit this restaurant again and of course recommend it to others. 👍

Very untypical for us, completely without photos because both phones were simply out of power: Extremely good, flexible, courteous service. Every extra request was possible! The food was of very high quality: cheese plate, pizza with Parma ham, veal liver. The rosé was great. We didn't expect it to be so good in a tourist location! Always my pleasure!!!!! THANK YOU 🙏

Rarely have I experienced such friendly staff. We got the recommendation from another restaurant because it had a closed company and the tip was spot on. The food was good, the price was great and on top of that, the staff was extremely friendly and courteous, and they also took great care of our children. When we're back in the area, we'll definitely come back here. Oh yes. The men's group at the next table was here for the third day in a row, which is saying something.

If you want delicious Italian food, this is the perfect place for you. We ate there several times during our vacation and every dish we had tasted really, really good! Even though there was a bit more work to do, the waiters/waitresses were super friendly and you didn't have to wait long at all. The delicious ice cream is also particularly recommended.

We had no problems getting a table. If you sit outside you have a good view of the beach promenade. The service was very friendly and everything went very quickly. We ate well, although not very well, here. Special requests were promptly fulfilled. The pizzas could have had a little more filling. The price-performance ratio is ok. Update 2023 The pizzas were fantastic this year, which was primarily due to the pizza dough. It wasn't crowded and we were served quickly. It is really a good recommendation to eat here. Update 2024: The food was fantastic this year. We had the veal liver which was very tender. Recently there is also a zabaione as a dessert, but we have had better ones.

Every year on our summer vacation we eat here at least 3 times. The staff is wonderful. Always very friendly and attentive. Excellent food, whether pasta, pizza, meat dish or salad - everything tastes excellent. Even an ice cream sundae always attracts us to La Residenza on a day at the beach. We also ordered food once this year and brought it to the holiday home. Here too, it was possible to order very friendly by telephone and we were able to enjoy very tasty food this way too. Always very happy. A real recommendation.
