La Paz in Berlin

Since I turned 18, I've often gone there with my girlfriends for cocktails, but never had any food. Now I've been there several times with my family (husband and kids) and it's absolutely delicious. I've really been missing out! The food is served quite quickly, tastes amazing, and the prices are reasonable. The cocktails are also fantastic—not too strong, just right, and fruity, and most importantly, not as expensive as further into town. I'll definitely be back. My husband is also thrilled; he'd never been there before. Highly recommended! It's often very crowded and therefore noisy on weekends, but during the week it's incredibly pleasant. The staff is very friendly.

The ambiance was actually quite nice, but since the smoking room was open, the entire restaurant reeked of smoke. Therefore, we left immediately without ordering or eating anything. Not recommended for non-smokers!

So, in itself, it's quite nice and the service is trying hard, BUT the food offered has absolutely nothing to do with Mexican cuisine. Not even remotely. The only thing similar are the names of the dishes, but the taste is just generic, like something someone has never been to Mexico.

The four of us met here and were quickly seated. The staff are very friendly and attentive. The food is delicious and varied. It's well worth a visit.

We sat in the atrium (courtyard) and left again after 20 minutes. No staff member seemed to care.

Very cool restaurant, the food is great, and the staff is super friendly and quick. At the end, we even got a shot of tequila on the house, so no one went home hungry.

Mysteriously, I enter La Paz feeling like I'm about to wander into a Mexican dive – instead, I end up in Hellersdorf and suddenly feel like I'm at a fiesta with a seating area. The nachos come with more cheese than a snowman in winter wears frost – and a spiciness that briefly makes me doubt whether my mouth is still human or already a volcano. The service: prompt, friendly, and with little antics – I asked for "extra spicy" and was served "spicy like my ex" with a wink. Combined with a cocktail so strong that two hours later, I'm still wondering if I was really the bartender or if he was secretly mixing a tornado during the break. The decor? A cross between "Living Room Piñata" and "Mexican Summer Rain in Berlin" – cozy with wall murals that have more colors than my last rainbow filter. The only downside: as I left, my wallet felt a slight fear of heights – the prices weren't exactly a supermarket bargain, but hey, you're paying for pimientos that are probably secretly dancing salsa. In conclusion: If you're craving good food with a side of "I don't know what to do with my palate anymore" and want to experience the feeling of encountering a little piece of Mexico in Hellersdorf – this is the place for you. And yes: I'll definitely be back – as long as my mouth recovers.

I came here with my family today and enjoyed good service and delicious food. I had "Fajitas de La Paz." When paying, the waitress recommended "Platanos Fritos." We enjoyed that, too. We'd be happy to come back.

The delivery took almost an hour, even though I live practically nearby. I realize that on Saturday nights, many people order or dine in, but an hour's delivery time is too long. The food was okay; the chili con carne was hot and delicious. The salad was good, the enchiladas with ground beef were buried under a lot of rice, and they skimped on the bean sauce. The prices are a bit high and incomprehensible. The delivery person tried very hard and called me on my cell phone because he couldn't find my name on the doorbell right away.

Very good! The food is delicious, the cocktails are made with love, and there's something for everyone. The surrounding street is lively but not overwhelming. There's a parking garage with an elevator. The servers are all friendly, especially Ivonne, Jorge, and Christina! You feel welcome and well-taken care of. I really enjoy sitting here and letting my evening come to a close :)

The water I ordered arrived very quickly

It was delicious! There was a small issue with one of the drinks, but it was replaced immediately.

We've been coming here for my birthday for years. Unfortunately, we won't be doing that anymore: we had three cocktails, nachos with dips, shrimp fajitas, and chicken enchiladas. The cocktails were extremely watery, and you couldn't taste the alcohol. The fajitas weren't fried: the vegetables and shrimp were simply thrown onto a hot pan. The vegetables were raw; I'm used to fajitas differently. The enchiladas were cold inside; the batter was completely soggy on the bottom and burnt on top. The rice got cold after 3-4 minutes; it must have been heated up in the microwave. The nachos have gotten significantly more expensive; the portion is now only 1/4 of what it used to be. The staff is overwhelmed; my husband kept going back to the waitress to order. We sent the fajitas back because they weren't fried. They came back fried and blackened, with the waiter saying, "We're not going to charge you extra for that, okay?!" My husband fished out the shrimp and ate them, but my enchiladas were inedible—it reminded me a lot of leftovers and canned food. We finished the nachos because we were really hungry. It's a shame the place has declined so much.

Nice people, but their staff are a bit overwhelmed in my opinion (in the evening). We ordered something and it took a very, very long time to get it (drinks). Um, (during the meal), my husband and I didn't really like it. Our food was already cold and didn't arrive at the same time, so we couldn't eat together (about an hour). Well, to each their own, that was just my honest opinion.

La Paz, an institution in Hellersdorf for decades, has the best nachos anywhere. The value for money is always excellent, the service is always very friendly, and the food... Whenever I'm back home, eating at La Paz is a must. I always enjoy going back.

I celebrated my birthday there at the beginning of June. The food was fantastic; everyone enjoyed it, and there was even something for the kids. Our blonde waitress was extremely friendly and very attentive. The outdoor area in the courtyard is also suitable for rainy weather thanks to the roof. We would love to come back.

Unfortunately, I got the wrong food; the lasagna wasn't exactly great either.

I'm on my way back now. Honestly, the soft drinks just weren't cold enough. And it was just too rainy. Oh well.

Won the title of best restaurant in Berlin. I tried this dish twice and every time I was surprised by the flavors. With every bite I tasted a different flavor, tasting better than before, and the happiness hormone became a thousand. In addition, the dish is a work of art 🎨. The manager and the staff are all polite and nice. The restaurant has an upscale atmosphere and at the same time it is comfortable. I definitely recommend it. They allowed us to get pizza from the restaurant opposite, which is very nice. The prices are reasonable for the service

Highly recommended. The service and the food are truly excellent. Very competent. They gave us detailed recommendations and were very patient, even though we arrived just before the kitchen closed. The food was delicious, and you could tell they put a lot of effort into it. Very few people can cook that well. The portions are more than enough to fill you up.

If you're looking for something different than pizza or Greek food, this is the place for you. For me, it could have been spicier, since it's Mexican after all. You can always add more spice. It still tasted very good. And the selection of cocktails is huge, both alcoholic and non-alcoholic. We enjoyed it and will go back.

LaPaz has been our favorite restaurant so far. Unfortunately, we were very disappointed today. The nacho plate was always delicious, unlike on previous visits. This time, the nachos were very mushy and soggy under the chicken, the chicken was unfortunately almost unseasoned, and the sticky fries were unfortunately served with ketchup and mayonnaise in small packets. Previously, small dips were served appetizingly in small bowls. We learned that LaPaz has a different owner and hope that this will be improved.

La Paz has unfortunately lost much of its original charm in the past. Not least due to the countless delivery drivers who, of course, noisily wait in the entrance area for their deliveries. I won't go into the quality of the food here; perhaps I was just having a bad day. We used to come here often, but not anymore.

Let's put it this way, the food was better here, but you can drink the cocktails.
