La Patagonia in Krefeld

After many visits in which we were satisfied, we left the restaurant yesterday extremely disappointed. Carpachio and fillet salad - portions both smaller, but price as before. Then the skin passage was probably forgotten. Other guests received their dishes, we didn't. When asked, hectic. 300g steak was ordered medium - it came English. Sirloin steak with pepper sauce was ordered medium well - it came English. Complained, steak was returned. Then the big hit: skirt steak came back to the table - after a stay in the Salamander - on the same "meat-soaked" plate. So unfortunately I couldn't eat it. Then there was a waitress who started a discussion 3 times that it was usual at Patagonia that the doneness medium here was always a little bloodier! I should order well-done in the future. Without words. We left the restaurant, having paid for everything beforehand - except for the skirt steak that we didn't eat. It's a shame that in a steakhouse the employees don't know and can't prepare the international standard for doneness. This was our last visit.

Good steakhouse with a cozy atmosphere. I was able to reserve a table conveniently and easily online on Friday evening. There were three of us there, everyone had steak and side dishes and it cost €100 including a round of drinks, which I think is fair. The meat, side dishes and sauces were all tasty but nothing extraordinary. The service was very friendly but a bit slow, but it was also busy. Would come again because of the nice atmosphere and good food.

Really delicious....... Pimientos, meat, side dishes, everything tastes very good. Ok, the doneness on the last visit wasn't on top, but there was just a tiny bit missing from perfection.. One point deducted for the high prices, which cannot be avoided in the current situation... Worth a visit...

We were there with 10 people Cozy restaurant Courteous, friendly and very quick service. Very tasty food. Starters and main courses attractive to look at and absolutely delicious. All steaks cooked as ordered. I didn't eat the dessert, but everyone else loved it. Price-performance ratio absolutely fine. I'll be back.

Went there for dinner yesterday with 11 people, everyone was very enthusiastic, the staff was great, the food was very good 👍 will definitely go there again, we had a dog with us, he was immediately given a bowl of water, very attentive, everything was as we imagined the evening would be have. Super leckeres Essen, die Steaks waren auf den Punkt gegrillt. Alle Beilagen und der Nachtisch waren sehr gut. Wir haben lange nicht mehr so gut gegessen. Die Bedienung war sehr zuvorkommend und freundlich. Einzig die Toiletten sollten renoviert werden.

Delicious steaks, but the side dishes leave a lot to be desired. Tomato salad ice cold and unseasoned. I find it more than expensive to pay almost 60 euros for a starter platter for two people. Corn on the cob is ok as a side dish but too simple and without a kick...

Great meat (rib-eye) perfectly fried, accompanied by a well-tapped Pilsner, delicious side dishes and friendly, attentive service. Clear recommendation!

Were there with 2 people. The waiter was very friendly and on the ball. I had a 450g sirloin steak cooked medium rare and my wife had 300g roast beef Visually, the pieces of meat did not differ in size. There was a lot of tendon in the piece but the doneness was perfect. For me, the meat was cold in the middle and still completely raw. That would have been English. We regularly go to ICI Bedburg and La Pampa in Mönchengladbach and are very spoiled when it comes to meat and preparation. And in a steakhouse I care about what the meat is like. We had the pepperoni once as a starter and each had a wine and an espresso. The bill was €105.00 There is still room for improvement. 😉

Friendly service, very good food

We stayed at La Patagonia for the first time on the occasion of our wedding anniversary and were warmly welcomed. Around midday we received an email informing us that there were difficulties with the EC cash and that payment could only be made in cash. We found this to be very attentive and we have never experienced this from other restaurants. We were greeted with a Prosecco from the house. All in all, we were more than satisfied and can't understand some of the negative reviews! Steaks top, fries top, vegetables top We'll definitely be back soon! Thanks!

We waited a very long time for the food. It was probably our fault for misunderstanding. The food was served to me without a plate and when I asked, it was explained that it was because I ordered fries instead of rice. But the plate was handed over later. I didn't understand that.

Unfortunately it's quite inconspicuous from the outside - but that's deceptive. The steak was amazing, great! Rarely have I had such a good piece of meat prepared so perfectly (Angus fillet). The waiter was very friendly, always present and very helpful with questions about the dishes. We also sent friends here who confirmed our experiences. So a total of 4 dishes - from starters and main course - everything was great! The look of the guest room is a matter of taste - I liked it - nice rustic with Argentinian style. I highly recommend it!

Had dinner there for the first time today. The starter tasted very good. Ordered 2 steaks medium. A steak was great and also medium. The second steak went back 3 times, first it was done, then 2 times completely English. On the 4th attempt it was medium. I don't think that should happen in a steakhouse. The salmon steak tasted great. Unfortunately, there was no apology or accommodation for this disaster. It's a shame actually.

Cozy, tasty and the service was nice.

We had a pretty mixed experience. It wasn't fully occupied yet, but the waiters were already well over their limit. Our order was only taken after repeated requests, but then came to the table relatively quickly. Unfortunately, the steak was not prepared "well done" as ordered, but was still very bloody. On the other hand, the grilled salmon was perfect, but far too puny for the price. The side dishes were also not very convincing and seemed to have been divided into three. The price/performance ratio here is usually not right at all.

A small, chic restaurant for young and old, staff always with a smile on their faces, very attentive and patient. I can only recommend it. Please visit diligently

It was very tasty, almost as good as in the USA, I have known the restaurant for a long time but have never been a guest there, but today we decided to try it. Table booked online for very early half past four. There was no one else there, but towards the end more and more guests arrived. After the initial coolness since we didn't know each other yet, Keller was also very nice. Starter for me, large bottle of water, large beer and a coke and 2 steaks made 83.20 euros My portion of Gran Bife de Lomo Buena was very large but it tasted good, only the fries needed longer in the deep fryer. So I don't need a starter there, the portion was great and both steaks were great! I think the ambience is very nice and successful for a steakhouse. All in all, I'd love to come back!

I was there with my wife for the first time today. My wife got the salad with salmon and shrimp, I had a sirloin steak with pepper sauce and rice. The salad was solid, as was the steak. But both have eaten better. The service was nice and polite. You just had the feeling he expected us to order more than the main course. So overall good. Very nice atmosphere.

The ambience was inviting, which contributed to a relaxed atmosphere. The quality of the meat was good and met our expectations. However, there was a small service incident when we realized our coffee had been forgotten. That was a shame and showed a slight opportunity for improvement in terms of service. I was there this week for the first, but definitely not the last, time. The ambience is a bit rustic, but the food was excellent. If fried squid is on the menu as an appetizer, I just have to order it. And to be honest, this was the best I've had in a restaurant so far. The steak was also great, although I'll go for the smaller size next time. The service was very friendly and attentive.

We love it. The meat is the best in all of Krefeld. Without exception, everyone is super friendly and attentive. For our wedding anniversary, the table was romantically decorated and we received a Prosecco on the house. Simply mega and our number 1 in Krefeld. And yes, it is a euro more expensive, but worth every euro because the quality is unbeatable. Thank you dear ones for everything ❤️

The very small portions are a joke, it takes a long time to bring the food and it is very expensive. DO NOT COME

I tell you that the service is terrible, it takes at least 10 minutes to serve you and another 45 minutes to deliver the food, which is not a big deal, they claim to be an Argentine restaurant but it is very clear that they are not. The food is not abundant at all, instead it is two pieces of cheese together, the only thing that stands out in the food is the portion of fries, quite decent. The quality of everything is not top notch, but they practically bought all the things in a Chinese supermarket around the corner and everything at the last minute. To finish the cost, it is too expensive and not worth paying such amount of money to "eat". I hope you take this review into account before coming and I hope they close the place for you.

The food was very tasty, but unfortunately the second meal only came after I had already eaten half of my meal. As compensation we were given a schnapps after our meal.

Krefeld's probably best steakhouse! The prices are appropriate, but a visit is definitely worth it!

My first, but definitely not last visit. Great ambience and surprisingly quiet inside, despite being located directly on two busy streets. The service was very friendly/polite, but I have to give up one star because I had to wait a little over 5 minutes in the entrance area until I was noticed (I was the first guest that evening). The house starter was delicious (ajoli, herb butter and chimichurri), but would have liked 2 more slices of bread. The starter “Pimientos de Padrón” that I ordered was very tasty, but you can’t really go wrong with it. For the main course I ordered the fillet "Bife de Lomo" in 300g, medium and diced potatoes. The potato cubes could have been crispier (they were soft and fatty) and the fillet could have been out of the pan a good 30 seconds earlier. I also find 0.2 soft drinks very small. Therefore 2 stars deducted for the food.

I was there with my best friend and we ordered the same dish. Ribeye steak with croquettes and béchamel sauce. The croquettes were definitely not homemade, but they were tasty. The béchamel sauce was probably homemade and tasted good too The steak was an absolute dream It was medium fried as requested, very tender and tasted simply fantastic. Very comfortably furnished. Very good and friendly service. The most important thing is of course the food. The beef fillet was medium and very tender. The 450g steak was, as ordered, medium rare and exactly as requested. Very tender and juicy. I have rarely been served such perfect steaks. The dessert was also great. Very very tasty restaurant. It didn't look that nice from the outside, but the interior is very nice and gives a wonderful ambience to the visit. The waiter was very friendly and always had a charming smile on his face. Because of allergies, we were given very careful advice about the ingredients. The food was really delicious! Gladly again.

Das einzige nennenswerte Steakhouse in Krefeld. Man wird begrüßt durch eine freundliches warmes Willkommen , das Ambiente lädt ein sich zu unterhalten, im Vergleich zu High End Steakhäusern fühlt man sich mit Pullover und Jeans nicht underdressed. Hier ist man willkommen, egal woher man kommt. Das Steak ist auf den Punkt, so wie man es bestellt - Preislich im Mittelfeld aber noch akzeptabel. Lediglich die Holzbretter auf denen das Fleisch serviert wird sind meines Erachtens nach überflüssig (bereits sehr gebraucht). Ein simpler Teller macht es auch.

Wir waren an Sonntag Abend das erstmal da zum essen.. Ich muss sagen sehr schönes Ambiente sehr freundliches zuvorkommend Personal . Unser Essen war super lecker und das ganze zu angepassten Preisen . Hier fehlt es an nicht . Vielen Dank für den schönen Abend . Wir kommen gerne wieder

Ein sehr schönes Restaurant mit liebevoller Einrichtungen. Der Service war super und sehr freundlich. Das Highlight war natürlich das Essen ich war überrascht von der Größe der Portionen und dem ausgezeichnet Geschmack. Ich freue mich jetzt schon auf das nächste Mal.

Heute haben wir unsere Weihnachtsfeier dort gemacht. Das Fleisch war spitze! Egal ob es Lammfleisch o Rinderfilet war, es war wirklich gut. Die gem. Vorspeisen Platte war Okay aber auf keinen Fall 43€ wert. Gambas und Serano Schinken waren ebenfalls sehr gut. Die Desserts waren gut .

Ich finde die Atmosphäre sehr angenehm und das Essen/ Fleisch ist sehr zart und zergeht im Mund. Wir kommen gerne immer wieder und genießen den netten Service.

Vom äußeren Eindruck ist nicht zu erwarten, welchs tolles Ambiente im Inneren zu erwarten ist. Einfach toll, anheimelnd, da im Hintergrund ein Fernseher mit flackerndem Kamin läuft, Personal sehr freundlich, Essen sehr lecker. Leider aber nicht behindertengerecht, da sich die Toilette im unteren Bereich befindet und kein Rollstuhlfahrer dort hingelangt.

Sehr überrascht, man erwartet durch den äußeren Eindruck, nicht ein so tolles Ambiente im Inneren. Das personal ist super freundlich, das Essen grandios, und vor allem der Lachs Medium sollte probiert werden!!!! Immer wieder einen Abstecher wert.

Das sind nur ein paar der Superlative, die ich für Patagonia Steakhouse verwenden könnte. Ich bin seit mehreren Jahren Kunde von Patagonia Steakhouse und wurde nicht ein einziges Mal von einem Artikel enttäuscht, den ich bestellt habe. Mein letzter Besuch am 28. Oktober 2023 war da keine Ausnahme. Wir kamen im Restaurant an und wurden wie immer mit einem freundlichen und einladenden Gruß begrüßt. Sobald wir Platz genommen hatten, kam sofort ein höflicher Kellner an unseren Tisch und fragte, ob wir etwas zu trinken hätten, präsentierte uns sogleich die Speisekarte und brachte frisch geschnittenes Brot mit Gewürzen. Nach so vielen Jahren, in denen ich nach Patagonien gereist war, brauchte ich kaum eine Speisekarte, aber mein Gast für den Abend genoss es, die Vielfalt der köstlichen Gerichte zu sehen, die aus der Küche bestellt werden konnten. Wie auch immer, mein Gast folgte meinem Rat und bestellte das Gleiche wie ich. Wir begannen mit einem meiner Lieblingsgerichte, dem Avocado Salat, der mit einer perfekten Balance aus nativem Olivenöl, Zitrone, fein gewürfelten Zwiebeln und Oliven ausgezeichnet ist, mit einem perfekten Geschmack von süß-sauer - köstlich. Unser Hauptgang war Filet Steak. Ich habe von New York bis Tokio Filet Steak gegessen und heute Abend habe ich, glaube ich, eines der günstigsten, zartesten, perfekt gegrillten medium rare Filetsteaks gegessen, die ich je gegessen habe, und meine Gastin hatte die gleiche Erfahrung mit ihrem Steak. Als Beilagen hat sich mein Gast für eine Ofenkartoffel entschieden und ich hatte Cebollas Asadas oder gebackene Zwiebeln. In Restaurants wird das Öl, das zum Frittieren verwendet wird, oft genug gewechselt und das frittierte Produkt kann einen etwas stumpfen oder ranzigen Geschmack haben. Bei Patagonia habe ich diese Erfahrung noch nie gemacht und die fein geschnittenen Röstzwiebeln waren leicht, aromatisch und nach dem Braten richtig abgegossen. Eine perfekte Kombination mit meinem Filet Steak. Eine Sache, die sich meiner Meinung nach enorm verbessert hat, ist eine bessere und größere Auswahl an Weinen. Ich habe mich für einen sehr schönen Rioja entschieden und er hat mein Essen perfekt begleitet. Diese Rezension bezieht sich auf einen Besuch mit 17 Gästen hier. Das Ambiente passt zu einem Argentischen Steakhaus. Der Service war nett, aber nach meinem Gefühl etwas überfordert. Es wurden mehrfach Getränke vergessen und ein in der Speisekarte aufgeführtes Bier war erst gar nicht verfügbar. Die bestellten Steaks kamen dann leider in unterschiedlichen Garstufen an. Einige wie bestellt medium, andere durch obwohl medium bestellt. Geht leider nicht bei 28,50 Euro pro Essen.

Drei gute Freunde und ich waren an einem Abend in der Woche im La Patagonia gemeinsam essen. Jeder einzelne Aspekt war wirklich top! Der Kellner war super schnell unterwegs und das Essen (sowohl Lammfleisch als auch Filetsteak) war sehr überzeugend! Immer wieder gerne!

Das La Patagonia war lange Zeit unsere Lieblingsrestaurat! Der absteigende Trend hat leider schon vor Corona eingesetzt. Die Qualität des Essen würden wir mit einer schwachen Drei bewerten und den Service bestenfalls noch mit Vier! Hochwertiges Fleisch bekommt man hier ein deutig nicht serviert, auf Nachfrage nach der Herkunft wurde die Chefin sichtlich verlegen! Fazit man bekommt für deutlich weniger Geld in vielen Krefeldern. Restaurants deutlich besseres Essen! Preis/Leistung ist mittlerweile Mangelhaft!

Steaks waren hammermäßig gut! Wir waren heute nach langer Zeit mal wieder im Patagonia. Das Fleisch war sooo gut. Auch unsere Beilagen waren super, zu denen uns der Kellner geraten hat. Service sehr nett und leckerer Wein. Besser geht es nicht! Danke dafür!

Ich denke, eine der besten Visitenkarten für ein Restaurant ist die Beständigkeit des Service und die Qualität der servierten Speisen. Aufgrund der Pandemie sind seit meinem letzten Besuch im La Patagonia Steak Haus über 9 Monate vergangen, aber nach einem so positiven ersten Besuch freute ich mich darauf, wieder guten Service, eine schöne Atmosphäre und perfekt zubereitete Steaks zu genießen. Der Zufall wollte es, dass ich innerhalb von zwei Wochen zweimal im La Patagonia zu Abend gegessen habe. Mein erster Besuch war mit einem Freund in Krefeld und ich bestellte meine Favoriten - Avocado Salat, Filet de Boef, Papas Bravas, Spinat mit Knoblauch, und mein Gast bestellte gegrillte Baby Calamares, Filet de Boef und Broccoli Natur. Wie immer wurde alles perfekt serviert und zubereitet und wir genossen beide einen sehr guten chilenischen Wein zu unserem Essen. Mein zweiter Besuch an einem Sonntag mit zwei Freunden war etwas enttäuschend. Da ich die Speisekarte erkunden und andere Gerichte kennenlernen wollte, entschied ich mich, etwas Neues auszuprobieren und Longostino-Schwänze von Holzkohlegrill zu bestellen, und meine beiden Gäste bestellten Ensalada Mixta und Gambas al Ajillo und alle drei Vorspeisen waren perfekt zubereitet und geschmeckt lecker. Beim Hauptgang entschieden sich meine Gäste und ich, das Entrecote/Ribeye und mein anderer Gast Filet de Boef zu probieren. Ich wollte wieder Spinat mit Knoblauch, aber es war nicht verfügbar, also habe ich mich für Broccoli Natur, Foliekartoffeln mit Butter und meinen Gast Papas Bravas entschieden. Natürlich wurde unser Abendessen perfekt und zuvorkommend serviert, aber als wir anfingen, das Entrecote / Ribeye zu essen, waren sowohl mein Gast als auch ich schockiert, wie zäh und voller Knorpel das Steak war. Nach dem Filet de Boef, das ich immer bestellt habe, das zart ist und fantastisch schmeckt, war ich schockiert. Selbst mit den großen Messern, die es gibt, war es schwierig, das Fleisch zu durchschneiden, aber ich muss ehrlich sein, der Geschmack und die Zubereitung waren perfekt, einfach unglaublich zähes Fleisch. Das andere Problem war, dass der Broccoli Natur (3,90 €) einen sehr seltsamen Kühlschrankgeschmack hatte und aus 5 sehr kleinen Rosetten bestand. Das gleiche gilt für meine Folie Kartoffeln (€ 2,40), die ebenfalls sehr klein war. Ich schätze, ich hätte Papa Fritas bestellen sollen, der auf den Tellern anderer Kunden fantastisch aussah. Ich bestellte noch einmal eine Flasche des chilenischen Weins, aber als ich eine zweite Flasche wollte, war keine mehr verfügbar und mir wurde keine Alternative angeboten. Vielleicht lag es daran, dass es ein Sonntag war, keine Ahnung, aber der Unterschied zwischen den beiden Abenden war dramatisch. Trotzdem werde ich weiterhin nach La Patagonia fahren, da die Qualität des Essens aus der Küche und der exzellente Service wirklich außergewöhnlich sind. Eine letzte Sache fehlt, die meiner Meinung nach in keinem argentinischen Steakhaus fehlen sollte und das ist eine gute Weinkarte, die leider in La Patagonia fehlt.

Das Covid 19 hat unser Leben auf der ganzen Welt verändert und dennoch können ein großartiger Abend, guter Service und exzellentes Essen die Dinge so viel erträglicher machen. Der letzte Abend am 25.10.2020 war mein erster Besuch in La Patagonia und was für eine entzückende Überraschung und erfreuliche Erfahrung es war. Die Atmosphäre ist definitiv argentinisch, dekoriert mit Kuhfladen, Wagenrädern, Holzschale, rustikalen Tischen und definitiv orientiert an gegrillten Steaks, Lamm, Schweinefleisch oder was auch immer Ihr Geschmack für gegrilltes Fleisch ist. Wir waren eine Dreiergruppe, wurden sehr höflich begrüßt und sassen in einer sehr bequemen Kabine. Obwohl unsere Kellnerin relativ neu im Restaurant war, war sie äußerst höflich und bemühte sich, unseren Abend trotz mangelnder Erfahrung zu einem Erfolg zu machen. Die Speisekarte ist fantastisch und bietet eine Auswahl an Vorspeisen, Suppen, Salaten, Meeresfrüchten und natürlich Fleisch nach Herzenslust. Mein Vorspeise war 'Carpaccio', das ausgezeichnet und extrem frisch war. Ein Salat, der mir aufgefallen ist und der nur sehr schwer frisch zu servieren ist, war der Avocado-Salat. Der 'Avocado-Salat' muss einer der besten sein, den ich je gegessen habe, und die Nuance von Zitrone, Zwiebel, Oliven und Tomaten war perfekt ausbalanciert - eine echte Delikatesse und eine großzügige Portion. Mein Gast hatte einen Salat, der sehr frisch war und 'Gambas al Ajilio', der wunderschön zubereitet war und eine großzügige Portion. Natürlich war das Finale Steak und auch hier keine Enttäuschung. Rinderfilet und Sirlion waren die Wahl und wurden perfekt gegrillt, ob Medium Rare oder Medium. Der Geschmack aller drei servierten Steaks war fantastisch und das Fleisch war zart und saftig. Man könnte sich nirgend wo auf der Welt ein besseres Steak wünschen. Natürlich wurde unser Abend mit gegrillten Steaks von einem guten Rioja begleitet und ich hoffe später, dass eine abwechslungsreichere Weinkarte erhältlich sein wird. Was für ein toller Abend wir hatten und ein großes Kompliment an die Besitzerin Frau Stefan, die Krefeld mit einem so hervorragenden Steakhaus und Restaurant ausgestattet hat.

Diesmal hat es nach anfänglichen kleinen Problemen sehr gut geklappt. Es sind die besten Steaks in Krefeld! Der "Platzanweiser" war sehr hektisch, bei der Zuweisung der Tische. Gut wäre es, wenn er besser Deutsch versteht. Der anschließende Service war sehr freundlich und aufmerksam.
