Delicious pasta, pizza, anti pasi Nice staff and lovely atmosphere on the terrace on the water. Recommended spaghetti carbonara!!

The food was really incredibly delicious. The employees always came to you in a friendly manner and asked if we needed anything else or if it tasted good. The atmosphere was also pleasant.

A super attentive and friendly service. Ate very tasty. The rump steak was very tender and juicy. And the grappa at the end was just right.

We had lunch today at La Gondola, it was very tasty, lots of it, great service, great atmosphere, the greeting from the kitchen was also very well received. The soup/salad of the day plus main meal for €12.90 is very inexpensive and so much that we were happy to take the rest with us!!!! We will be happy to come back to this super nice restaurant.

Went to the restaurant spontaneously today. We received a very friendly welcome and felt very comfortable. There was a delicious greeting from the kitchen and pizza and lasagna were very tasty. I would eat the starter (pepper soup) again and again. We'd love to go there again.

Super tasty food at a reasonable price. We ate at La Nouva Gondola again after a long time, and as always it was delicious. First there was an appetizer in the form of flatbread with salsa and bruschetta, then there was plenty of pizza bread to go with the main course. My tagliatelle with salmon was very delicious and more than enough. My partner had gnocchi in Gorgonzola sauce which was also extremely tasty. All in all, it was a very pleasant evening and the staff asked often enough if we were still missing anything. We would love to come back. The prices were also absolutely reasonable.

"Delicious food, attentive service and great beer garden" - this was my old review... After the health department's report, the food almost comes back to me... and that used to be my favorite Italian restaurant in Nordhorn. Never again!! Addition after the owner's comment: This isn't night riding - I don't live in Nordhorn, I just go there regularly. I have now been advised not to visit because there are said to have been serious defects. I'll refrain from posting the public link from the office or details because I don't want to follow suit - despite the insults in the answer.

We had made reservations for a birthday party for 6 people at 6 p.m. When we arrived we were greeted warmly and friendly and were given a seat outside. It's nice to sit there - the area itself is great. Only the furniture and the parasols are very run down and dilapidated. After another 10 minutes we were able to order our food. The order was a bit bumpy because our waitress unfortunately had problems with various questions and special requests due to allergies, but everything went well until then. We received our starter 40 minutes after ordering - that's a disproportionately long wait. The starter (mixed antipasti plate for several people) was carelessly prepared and unfortunately not tasty. Tomatoes were mushy, carpaccio was way too thick, cut, lettuce was wilted and there was very little else to choose from. After asking several times, we didn't get our main courses until 8 p.m. - almost a 2 hour wait. And just the sight of it was more than disappointing. 2 out of 6 dishes were completely wrong. After asking what had happened, we were incredibly cheekily and rudely answered that the waitress had done everything right and that it was just the kitchen's fault. That may be true, but it doesn't solve the problem. The dish, which was ordered spice-free because of allergies, was full of spices and fruits and even garnished with greens - we had specially ordered without all the spices due to allergies - so the dish could not be eaten. For the second dish, the kitchen decided on its own initiative what to replace, then the original dish was sold out in the 2 hours of waiting. The waitress didn't try to find a solution - she simply said that she personally couldn't do anything about it, turned around and left. So 2 out of 6 people had no food and went home hungry that evening. The payment process then caused another heated argument, as all dishes were actually supposed to be paid for in full. After severely insulting the waitress, we paid the full price - this was the only way to avoid further drama. All in all, the visit to La Gondola was an absolute failure! The manner of the staff and the kitchen is absolutely impossible and only makes for an unforgettable evening in a negative sense. The correctly delivered food was also more than disappointing. Overcooked, carelessly prepared and with little taste. Based on the latest publication from the health department, this is probably no surprise given the conditions in the kitchen. We will definitely not come back and can only recommend that any potential guest avoid this restaurant.

Unfortunately, the furniture is getting old and needs to be replaced, but some of the dishes were always very tasty. A few weeks ago we placed an order for pickup by phone. My wife and I were in very poor health, but we just wanted to treat ourselves to something good this Saturday. My wife fought her way from the parking lot at the Schweinmarkt to the restaurant. Unfortunately, card payment was not possible (the device was probably defective) and the owner/employee asked her to go to the nearest bank and withdraw cash. The defect in the card reader was not pointed out when the order was placed. The owner/employee refused to hand over the food and after several loud statements on his part, the food was handed out, stating personal details etc. However, there is a condition that the amount must be paid immediately next Monday to transfer and provide proof of the receipt in the restaurant. For us simply pure harassment, unnecessary and completely exaggerated. The food was very tasty, although we had to reheat it at home as this action took almost half an hour on site had taken. Three weeks later my wife ordered another pasta dish to pick up. She felt better again and when she picked her up she asked the owner/employee again about the unpleasant and humiliating action three weeks ago. That was probably too much for the man. He literally freaked out, became so loud that it could be heard throughout the restaurant and threatened to call the police. His argument was as follows: Nobody would have ever said that to him, that you should finish it, it wouldn't be true, in this day and age you always have cash with you and blah, blah, blah. Simply very unpleasant for a guest. Uh, sorry, especially in this day and age after Corona, it's no longer a matter of course to have cash with you. My wife then had to leave the restaurant without receiving her order. After we were made aware of the website "Verstösse.lebensmittel-futtermittel-sicherheit.niedersachsen.de" today, we will avoid this restaurant in the future under the leadership of this employee/owner (he posed as the latter). We think that the owner would also make use of his property rights. But that's fine with us too. Several witnesses can certainly confirm these events.

Very disappointing. Food requests due to intolerances were ignored. Out-of-date ingredients replaced with others without consultation. We also had to wait a long time for the main course. Two hours after arrival. The explanation for this was that our food went to the end of the list in the kitchen due to the appetizer that was eaten over an hour ago. Eh, stupid. Even more stupid with a small child. When deficiencies were raised, a waitress quickly became unfriendly and simply said that it wasn't her who was cooking... We had a lovely evening. But only because we spent it together. We don't go to the restaurant anymore.

Leider bin ich nach diesem Besuch überhaupt nicht zufrieden, wir hatten mit Freunden um 19 Uhr einen Tisch telefonisch angefragt und vorbestellt was man uns auch positiv bestätigt hat. Nach sage und schreibe einer halben Stunde war man dann erst in der Lage uns tatsächlich einen Tisch anzubieten. Auf die Nachfrage hin ob es keinen Bruchetta mehr gibt, begegnete man uns mit der Antwort" nur wenn die Küche da Zeit für hat"... Der Wein wurde mit Zimmertemparatur serviert was für uns neu war und was wir dort überhaupt nicht gewohnt sind, sondern nur in gekühlten Form, die dritte Bestellung war dann wieder gekühlt, als ging es doch... Zu allem Übel kippt die Bedienung mir ein komplettes Tablett mit Getränken über meine Kleidung, ohne ein Wort der Entschuldigung oder sich um mich persönlich oder um meine Kleidung zu kümmern, nur einfach den völlig durchnässten Stuhl und das zerbrochene Glas im Sinn und vor Augen.... Alles in allem war es ein Besuch wo man unheimlich gespürt hat dass denen die Umstände schlicht weg egal sind weil man scheinbar Kunden genug hat.... Sorry das sind wir anders von diesem Lokal gewohnt und würden das auch anders erwarten. So kann man nur sagen: Manchmal macht man sich seine Probleme eben selbst.... Das geht weitaus besser! So ist das Haus jedenfalls nicht zu empfehlen! Aber aus Fehlern lernt man ja bekanntlich...

Ate here for the first time today and will repeat... A sociable, bustling atmosphere and well-prepared food make this place special. The large selection of pasta, fish and meat dishes, but also pizzas and desserts, offer something to suit every palate. And sitting outside with a view of the Vechte is something special.

Table reserved for 4 people on the terrace at 7 p.m. Called at 7 p.m. to say we were 10 minutes late. The lady on the phone said that we would have to wait, so I said: "yes, but we have a table for 7 p.m. it must be free". "No, we have to wait".... We were there at 7:10 p.m., no table free, had to wait on the terrace and even there nothing was set up, another family was also waiting on the terrace, which had reserved at 7 p.m.... It was enough for us. Since obviously nothing seems to be available in the next few minutes, we left. This restaurant knows how to keep its guests away

We reserved a table for 4 people on Saturday evening. When we arrived we were told to wait as there was no space available. A family was already waiting for their reserved spot in front of us. Shortly after us, those who had reserved came back. An absolute no go! A classic case of complete overbooking. It was enough for us, we had a delicious meal somewhere else. The waiter didn't give the impression that he was sad that we were leaving. On the contrary. Thank you, never again.

We reserved a table for 7:00 p.m. on the terrace, we were there and everything was full, so we had to wait 10-15 minutes.

Everything was tasty and large portion for the price, but I ordered the pasta with pepper separately and it came with pepper. Then after 5 minutes I get the pasta again, this time with pepper on the side, but with so much garlic that I get a reaction and my mouth hurts. Not how aglio e olio should taste. Unfortunately the server starts arguing instead of apologizing. Also wanted to charge us for the returned pasta and got into a discussion with the chef. We will not return because of this experience, even though the other meals were excellent, which is a shame. The response below this review immediately says what the staff / owner is like 😆

Incredibly great restaurant with a great outdoor area right on the Vechte. The staff is extremely accommodating and reads your wishes without asking. The cuisine in Nordhorn is clearly in the top 3. The salad, the steak and the pike perch fillet were from another star. It was our first time there, but we will definitely come back.

Seit dieser Woche hat dieses Restaurant tagsüber für den 'Mittags Tisch' wieder geöffnet. Wir beschließen, hier zu Mittag zu essen. Man hat eine große Auswahl an vielen Mittags-Tisch-Gerichten. Man kann zwischen einem Salat und einer Tagessuppe und einem Hauptgericht wählen. Vor dem Essen wird eine Schale mit Brot und Dip gereicht. Die Bedienung ist sehr freundlich. Die Gerichte waren ordentlich, reichlich und lecker. Bei der Bestellung ging kurz etwas schief. Das wurde nachgeholt und mit einem gratis Getränk. Schönes Restaurant mit einer schönen Speisekarte.

The food was very tasty and was served very hot. The portions were a good size. Unfortunately, the service wasn't that great. The wrong drink was brought and everything was put away straight after the meal, even though there was still some bread on the table that was supposed to be eaten. Good restaurant with very nice service and delicious greetings from the kitchen (brusceetta, pizza rolls and garlic cream). The food was good, but unfortunately the pizza dough was very flat, meaning it didn't rise and was therefore quite firm. The noodles were very good.

Very tasty food, courteous service and we received our food relatively quickly. Beforehand there was a delicious greeting from the kitchen.

The staff was nice and kid friendly. The location is centric and had nice views, given sunny weather. The food however is ok at best. The pizza is so wobbly, it reminded me of a frozen pizza 10 minutes early out of the oven. It is quite alright for kids, but don't expect actual Italian cooking, it seems more like system gastronomy.

I have been a regular customer at this restaurant for years and have not been disappointed with either the food or the service. The prices for the food and drinks on offer are also great in relation to the quality you get. All in all, in my opinion this restaurant is one of the best in the region.

Haben sehr lecker gegessen. Habe eine Pizza gehabt und das war ein Traum vom Boden bis zum frischen Belag oben drauf. Topp!!!! Und die Bedienung super freundlich....

Sehr sehr lecker und ein umwerfender Service! Ich war dort mit meiner Familie essen und wir wurden direkt freundlich in Empfang genommen und zum Tisch begleitet! Als wir unser Essen bekommen haben waren wir sehr begeistert da es nicht nur gut aussah sondern auch super geschmeckt hat! War ein sehr sehr schöner und leckerer Abend. Kann ich nur weiterempfehlen!

Haben heute mit 5 Personen hier gegessen und waren leider von der Küche maßlos enttäuscht. Wir haben unter anderem 2 vegetarische Pizzen (Pizza Tuti) bestellt. Das Essen war sehr schnell fertig und uns wurde mitgeteilt, dass ein Fehler passiert sei und leider 2 mal Pizza Parma und einmal Pizza Tuti zubereitet wurde. Die Nachfrage, ob wir auch die Pizza Parma anstatt der Tuti nehmen würden, verneinten wir, da die Vegetarier kein Fleisch essen würden. Daraufhin kam die Bedienung nach 2 Minuten wieder aus der Küche und brachte die "neue" Pizza Tuti. Während des Essens der Pizza wurde festgestellt, dass sich unter dem Käse und Rucola noch größere Stücke Schinken befanden und der Belag in der Küche anscheinend nur probiert wurde runterzukratzen und unter neuem Käse und Rucola zu verstecken. Dies ist wirklich eine absolute Frechheit! Jeder von uns macht Fehler und es wäre kein Problem gewesen zu sagen, dass eine neue Pizza zubereitet wird und dies noch ein paar Minuten dauert. Anzumerken ist, dass nach Beschwerde die Pizza nicht mit abgerechnet wurde.

Wir haben sehr gut in dem angenehmen Lokal gespeist. Angenehmes Ambiente, guter Service und eine tolle Speisen-Auswahl.

Ein sehr nettes und schön gelegenes Restaurant. Das Essen war sehr gut und kam auch schnell. Der Service war gut und aufmerksam. Es ist also definitiv einen Besuch wert.

Das Personal war sehr freundlich und gut ausgebildet, dafür ein dickes plus! Das Essen war optisch sehr schön angerichtet. Leider hat mich das Schweinefilet in Weißweinsosse mit Salbei so garnicht überzeugt. Das Fleisch war mehr wie rosa, die Weißweinsauce schmeckte sehr verwässert und den Salbei habe ich garnicht erst gefunden... sehr schade. Zusätzlich kann ich den Kunden nur empfehlen, sich ein scharfes Messer mitzubringen, das Schneiden von Fleisch oder Pizza ist leider absolut nicht möglich.... das Problem Beklagten alle.

Wir haben am Sonntag hier gegessen, das Essen war vollkommen in Ordnung und der Service war sehr freundlich. Lediglich das Ambiente (wir haben draußen gesessen) könnte vielleicht mal ein wenig Auffrischung benötigen, was jedoch nicht unheimlich stört.

Ontvangst slecht en de pizzabodum soppig en zeer dun een tortilla bodem is nog beter ! Er zat geen smaak aan de Pizza zeer jammer !en de tiramsu heeft het net allemaal niet geen aanrader! Mooie lokatie maar daar is ook alles mee gezegd.echt een tegen valler!ga er nooit meer heen!

Seid vielen Jahren bin ich nun Stammkunde und war noch nie unzufrieden. Das Personal ist immer nett und zuvorkommend das Ambiente ist hervorragend und vor allem das Essen ist erstklassig. Für mich persönlich ist La Nuova Gondola der beste Italiener in der gesamten umgebung und kann es nur jedem weiter empfehlen !

Spontan da angehalten. Preis eher unterdurchschnittlich. Portionen ausreichend groß! Und traumhaft lecker! Wenn ichs nächste mal in der Ecke ein Restaurant brauche, komme ich wieder!

Wir waren mit 6 Personen im Restaurant. Das Essen war hervorragend, angefangen beim Gruß aus der Küche. Der Kellner war überaus freundlich und unterstützte auch Sonderwünsche. Wir waren zu Besuch in Nordhorn, können das Restaurant nur wärmstens empfehlen.

Das Essen hat überzeugt. Wirklich zu empfehlen. Der Außenbereich direkt am Wasser ist idyllisch, könnte aber ein klein wenig gepflegter sein. Das Problem ist der Service bzw. der Restaurantchef. Wir hatten einen Tisch für acht Personen bestellt. Aufgrund eines schlimmen Fahrradunfalls einer Freundin am Vormittag (Oberschenkelhalsbruch, sofortige Operation im Krankenhaus) waren wir abends nur mit sechs Personen erschienen. In Anbetracht der Aufregung haben wir nicht daran gedacht, den Tisch für zwei Personen beizeiten abzusagen. Ja, sorry. Wir haben dies dem Restaurantchef erläutert und auf Verständnis gehofft. Weit gefehlt. Eine solch unfreundliche und schroffe, fast schon aggressive Reaktion des Chefs hat uns sprachlos gemacht. Die zwei Service-Punkte gehen an die wirklich freundlichen Mitarbeiter. Ansonsten 0 Punkte.

I visited this restaurant for a dinner with my wife and I was disappointed. While the restaurant is situated very nicely and has a beautiful terrace, I found the food sub-standard and the service bad and hurried (even though the restaurant was not full). I received a different dish than I ordered and the waiter refused to take it back, insisting that this was what I ordered, citing numbers from the menu that are meaningless to me of course. The antipasti seemed not fresh and felt like they came from a glass jar. Although my wife specified very clearly her gluten allergy her fish was covered in batter and her salad was swimming in fatty distinctly very non-Italian sauce and not olive oil. Maybe that’s how Germans eat Italian but it’s not authentic Italian. I know the difference, having eaten the real deal in Italy often. All in all a disappointing experience - not returning to this place.

Today I was in one of the finest Italian restaurant I have ever visited. The service, the food, and even the wine was great. To be honest I can only recommend this restaurant. Keep the great work guys, see you for surly later.

We're friendly welcomed in a full restaurant. Reservation is required. Comfortable seats, lovely ambience. We ordered the 2 persons plate Anti pasti. Not cheap but fresh and good products. I liked it. The bread served with it was bit dry and cold. That could be better. As we were craving for a pizza which is not made by a dönner house we went here. That was a good decision. 2 different types of pizza and well made. Generously covered in toppings. Enjoyed it. For us this was more than enough and we were well done. Drinks were good. Beer freshly served and good classic Italians for my wife. Also served perfect. Good coffee for me unfortunately, the tiramisu was OK but not more than that. Expected a bit more from a real Italian. A special word to the servants. Super friendly, all time there without being too much there. Just perfect! Saw some great steaks getting by so we will try that for sure a next time.

Can not fault this restaurant on any account, everything was excellent from sitting down to paying the bill. We ate inside on a busy night and felt comfortable and private in amongst the other diners. Service was detailed and prompt, helping us through the extensive menu and wine list. The price is unbeatable for the quality and they were full while the other restaurants in the street were empty which might make it a little hard to find an impromptu table.

We had an evening in the restaurant starting with football an the screen in the garden (Germany won) with some antipasti. Then a full dinner in the fairly large restaurant with an italian inspired menu with high quality food.
