La Nave in Alzey

Wir hatten Knoblauchnudeln und einen Mozzarella-Tomaten-Salat, beides leider unterdurchschnittlich.

Echte Spaghetti Carbonara und die Pizza war auch lecker. Ebenfalls das Dessert Zabaione. Da gehen wir wieder hin und dann teste ich mal Saltimbocca.

Gibt nix besseres. Essen, Service, Ambiente, alles top. Dies kann ich als Stammgast behaupten. Tolle Familie und tolle Angestellte.

Es ist wie ein "Nach Hause kommen ". Ich mag die Menschen sehr. Das Essen ist fantastisch lecker. Man kann im Sommer wunderbar draußen sitzen. Das La Nave ist unser absoluter Favorit.

Schönes Ambiente im Herzen von Alzey! Angelo ein großartiger, sympathischer Gastgeber. Ob Pizza, Pasta oder Fleischgerichte, alles top!! Und zur Spargelzeit sind die leckersten Gerichte auf der Saisonkarte nur zu empfehlen!

Wir waren zu einer "kleinen" Familienfeier Gäste im La Nave. Service und Speisen waren gut und auch empfehlenswert. Am Ende, als wir bezahlen wollten, wurden wir gefragt, ob wir noch einen Limoncello, Marsalla etc möchten. Erst hatten wir verneint, nachdem der Keller immer wieder fast schon aufdringlich nachfragte, haben sich vier von uns doch breitschlagen lassen und etwas bestellt - im Glauben, es ginge "aufs Haus", wie es oft bei Italienern üblich ist. Später (leider erst zu Hause) haben wir dann auf der Rechnung gesehen, dass jeder einzelne in Rechnung gestellt wurde und auch nicht gerade günstig war, was uns sehr verärgert hat. Also klarer Daumen nach unten, das geht gar nicht!!! Schade, wir wären gerne wiedergekommen!

Der Mittagstisch hat ein gute Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis aber abgesehen davon waren die Nudeln auf der normalen Karte mittelmäßig und ziemlich teuer und der Beilagensalat für 5,90 € bestand aus 3 großen Salatblättern, einem Viertel Tomate und etwa Karottenraspeln - meine Verwunderung darüber sties sowohl beim Kellner als auch dem Besitzer auf Unverständnis. Ich würde hier nicht mehr Essengehen.

Als Zwischenstopp ausgewählt und positiv überrascht. Essen war First class. Wir kommen wieder.

Ich komme nicht aus Alzey und waren dort mit einer Gruppe von knapp 20 Personen dort. Aus beruflichen Gründen treffen wir uns zweimal im Jahr in Rlp und gehen dann gemeinsam Mittagessen. Was uns gewundert hat, war die Vorbestellung, haben wir in dieser Gruppengröße noch nie erlebt. Drei Essen mussten aufgrund von Krankheit abbestellt werden, haben wir morgens telefonisch auf den AB gesprochen. Das wurde wohl nicht abgehört....und war deutlich schlechte Stimmung als wir nochmal drauf hingewiesen haben. Getränke waren in einer angemessenen Zeit aufgenommen und serviert. Allerdings haben wir fast eine Stunde auf das Essen gewartet....warum dann die Vorbestellung???? Essen wurden zumindest alle gleichzeitig serviert. Dazu bei Kartenzahlung nur EC möglich und erst ab 15 Euro...das ist schon für ein Restaurant sehr einschränkend....bei meiner Bank gibt es keine EC Karten mehr! Essenqualität gut, weder herausragend, aber auf keinen Fall schlecht o.ä. Aufgrund vieler Vorgaben (Vorbestellung ohne spätere Änderungeb, Einschränkung Kartenzahlung, lange Wartezeit) werden wir dort nicht noch einmal Mittagessen...das haben wir schon deutlich stressfreie erlebt, z. B. in Kibo (ähnlich große Kleinstadt). Dort mussten wir nicht vorbestellen, Essen war deutlich früher da und Kartenzahlung war ohne Einschränkung möglich!

Ein schöner Ort zum Essen. Freundlicher Besitzer und Staffel.

Haben Nudeln und Pizza abgeholt, die selbstgemachten Nudeln waren gut, während die normalen Nudeln schrecklich waren, so wie man es eigentlich von Lieferando Massengeschäft kennt und schlecht gewürzt. Pizza Teig sehr gut, Belag hat uns nicht getaugt, ggf. lag es an der Wahl "Veronica". Weil die Nudeln so geschmacklos waren und 2/3 so enttäuscht wurden nur 2 Sterne.

Klein und fein, so könnte man den Gastraum beschreiben. Ich hatte die Involtini, die Portion ist nicht gerade riesig, aber die Qualität... Selten soo gut gegessen, lieber bisschen weniger aber dafür gut und sogar extrem gut. Die Bedienung ist sehr nett, ich denke man wird mich hier noch öfter sehen sehen. Kompliment an den noch, bitte einfach weiter so.

In der Stadtmitte von Alzey findet man dieses seit 1991 familiengeführte italienische Restaurant. Die Speisekarte ist originell, die von uns ausgewählten Speisen, gefüllte Champignons als Vorspeise, mit Büntnerfleisch und Radicio gefüllte Nudeln sowie Seezungenfilet in Orangensoße mit Spinat und Salzkartoffeln waren ausnahmslos von hoher Qualität, frisch und schmackhaft zubereitet. Der Service war freundlich, das Preis-Leistungsverhältis sehr gut. Für dieses Restaurant sollte man auch einen Umweg in Kauf nehmen.

Wir waren nur auf der Durchreise und haben, nachdem wir unsere Reservierung etwas geändert hatten, trotzdem noch einen Tisch bekommen. Wir haben köstlich gegessen und der Service war fantastisch! Die Angestellten sind sehr freundlich und der Service ist exzellent! Was für ein tolles Restaurant!

Wir waren mit ca. 12 Personen als Firma gemeinsam mit Kunden dort. Das Essen musste im Vorfeld ausgewählt werden. Leider waren im Nachhinein absolut keine Änderungen mehr möglich – nicht einmal kleinere Anpassungen oder wenn eine einzelne Person kurzfristig abspringt. Hier hätten wir uns deutlich mehr Flexibilität gewünscht. Das Essen selbst war allerdings ausnahmslos wirklich sehr lecker. Alle Gänge haben geschmacklich überzeugt – großes Lob an die Küche! Der Service wirkte mit der Anzahl der Gäste leider etwas überfordert. Die Getränkebestellung wurde erst nach etwa 20 Minuten aufgenommen, und bis alle Getränke am Tisch waren, vergingen nochmals fast 20 Minuten. Zudem kamen sie nicht gleichzeitig, da Bestellungen vergessen oder vertauscht wurden. Auch beim Timing der Speisen gab es Abstimmungsprobleme – die Vorspeise sollte nicht erst fünf Minuten nach der Hauptspeise serviert werden. Insgesamt also kulinarisch sehr stark, organisatorisch und im Servicebereich mit deutlichem Verbesserungspotenzial.

Immer wieder und schon seit Jahren sehr gerne. Unser Stamm-Italiener. Immer nett und freundlich, an den Speisen gibts es nichts beanstanden.

I absolutely don't understand the good reviews here. The service was very unfriendly. The food tasted disgusting. If the saltimbocca at home is better than at the Italian restaurant, I'm really worried. My rump steak was an unidentifiable thing. One part of my steak was tough, medium, the other part was raw, and the back part was even cold. Drinks aren't chilled in the summer. Save your money; this place is all just a facade. The best part is the ridiculous slogan when you open the menu.

A second-generation, family-run Italian restaurant. Newly renovated and beautifully remodeled. Suitable for groups. Indoor and outdoor seating. Chef Angelo and his family have their hearts in the right place. Just give it a try.

When we travel to Alzey we sometimes eat at La Nave, it's good and nice.

Thank you so much, Angelo! You did a great job celebrating my birthday yesterday. The drinks, food, and dessert were all amazing. We were superbly looked after. We were all super satisfied and more than full. A lovely place. Very clean. But enough advertising now. Otherwise, we won't be able to get a seat there soon. Haha...

My personal favorite when it comes to Italian restaurants in Alzey. Authentic, friendly, delicious! If you're lucky, you might even find the whole family in the restaurant eating together, fantastic! This time, homemade stuffed giant tortellini with chanterelle mushrooms... soooo delicious 😋 😍 I also occasionally get a takeaway pizza, which has always been great! It's located right in the center of Alzey—by the fish market and next to the Alzey city winery. Both restaurants work wonderfully together, and you can order from the other at both... brilliant. I'll definitely be coming here more often...

Very nice atmosphere and excellent service. They kept asking if we wanted something to drink (even though the restaurant was full), and it was very child-friendly.

As a group, we ordered 9 dishes, 8 of which were pizzas, but we discovered that two of them had the wrong toppings. We are outraged. So, of course, we called to find out how this mishap even happened. We were then transferred twice before we found someone who even understood our problem. The service was very friendly and understanding, but we were offered a house order for that evening or the following morning. This did absolutely no good. Finally, I would like to say that the pizzas we received instead did not match the price we paid; we effectively overpaid. The food was okay, not much better than expected, but still good.

The vegetable soup ministrone is not tasty. It feels like they just boiled a frozen mix from the store, and not completely, because the pieces of vegetables were hard. There was something very bitter and disgusting in the soup. We ordered two soups, we couldn't eat them, asked to take them away. And they charged us for one 🙈

I'm from Wolfsburg in Lower Saxony, but I was here visiting a good friend. We ate there, and I was absolutely thrilled! The food was absolutely delicious! The staff was very friendly, as was the overall service! Highly recommended!

La Nave is an institution in Alzey. I've been coming here for decades. I particularly like the pizza, but I also think the liver is fantastic. The service is attentive, and if the inside is too crowded, you can sit outside in nice weather with a view of the fish market and Spießgasse.

Der Wirt signalisierte uns sofort, ein Tisch wird in den nächsten Minuten frei (spricht fürs Lokal) und sonders es auch. Einmal gereinigt, sowie eingedeckt und wir wurden zu den Plätzen geleitet. Die Speisekarte bietet eine gute Auswahl - nicht zu wenig, nicht zu viel. Das Essen war sehr lecker wie wir alle fanden. Kurzum: - Empfehlung für alle, die gut italienisch Essen gehen wollen - Restaurantteam, macht weiter so! 😊

Unfortunately, cyclists who are simply thirsty are not welcome. When I arrived on my racing bike and looked for a table outside, the wait staff initially deliberately ignored me. When eye contact was no longer enough, they told me that I could not only order a drink, but also something to eat; after all, they were a restaurant. That struck me as rather arrogant. Apparently, the gentlemen didn't like my outfit. So I went somewhere else. But whatever, there are plenty of pizzerias; with less Italian folklore. By the way, three Dutchmen were at the front of today's Giro stage.

We can only recommend La Nave, very friendly, attentive service, food (pizza, pasta & salad) very good, everything was very well rounded, we had a lovely evening, thank you very much

Unfortunately we were disappointed. There were small amounts of dirt in the noodles! When asked about it, no big reaction. The service was a bit 'cold'. Food otherwise ok, but far from outstanding. Children's portion of pasta without tomato sauce was more expensive than stated on the menu with sauce. Only the place in the sun saved it.

For me, the Pizzeria La Nave in Alzey is a real insider tip when it comes to authentic Italian cuisine. Every time I'm here I'm amazed by the quality of the food and the warm hospitality. I would particularly like to highlight the pasta dishes and the Pizza Papa. The pasta dishes at La Nave are simply a poem. Whether classic spaghetti carbonara, creamy tagliatelle al salmone or spicy penne all'arrabbiata - every pasta is freshly prepared and refined with great attention to detail. The sauces are homemade and impress with their intense taste and the use of high-quality ingredients. The pasta itself is always al dente, exactly as it should be. A real treat for every pasta lover! But the Pizza Papa is also an absolute highlight of the menu. Wir waren auf der Durchreise und haben einen Abstecher in das sehenswerte Alzey gemacht. Zum Schluss sind wir noch spontan ins "La Nave", das von außen weniger beeindruckt als von innen. Ich hatte den Lachs mit Spargel von der aktuellen Karte, meine Frau den Insalata Pollo. Beides war von sehr guter Qualität, absolut frisch und äußerst lecker. Der Lachs war sehr aromatisch und saftig. Der Spargel war wunderbar zart und schmeckte. Billig war das Gericht nicht, aber in dieser Qualität hat solch ein Gericht seinen Preis. Falls es uns wieder in die Gegend verschlägt, kommen wir gerne wieder.

Best Italian in Alzey! Great service, always very attentive and extremely friendly. The food is fantastic, the pizza is highly recommended, but the pasta definitely doesn't have to be hidden either and even those who don't like foreign cuisine get an outstanding rump steak. The drink selection is perfectly matched to the food and the prices are more than fair.

Delicious, varied and inexpensive lunch, friendly staff.

Was here for lunch, my companion had pizza and bruschetta, the bruschetta was good, the pizza is not worthy of an Italian: pizza base not fluffy, hardly any tomato sauce but lots of cheese (which didn't taste good). My schnitzel with fries was OK. It's a shame, the atmosphere is nice and the price is reasonable, although I'd rather pay €10 more and enjoy the food.

Service and ambience 5 stars but the food and presentation are only enough for 3 stars. The pizza was very watery and very soft in the middle. Here you noticed that a lot of it is about time and being able to serve tables quickly. It's nice that the food comes quickly, but it's a shame that the quality suffers. Unfortunately, the food does not fit into the ambience that an upscale kitchen promises. I would call it a fancier fast food restaurant.

Der gleichbleibende Geschmack der Gerichte ist nicht nur ein Beweis für die hohe Qualität der Zutaten, sondern auch für die Leidenschaft und Hingabe, mit der das Team seit Jahrzehnten arbeitet. Die hausgemachte Pasta, die Pizza und die himmlischen Desserts – all das schmeckt genau so, wie wir es von Anfang an lieben gelernt haben. Delicious pizzas and pasta dishes. Very good ingredients that even the simple dishes are worth experiencing! The staff also have a great sense of whether you want to chat a lot and make jokes or whether you would rather enjoy being together today and only engage in the most necessary interactions.

Unfortunately it was the last time we booked a table at La Nave. When we arrived, no guests there, but we had the table next to the toilet. A children's pizza could not be ordered, although two companions had also ordered a pizza, I didn't understand the problem. The service is poor for me. The food itself is good, but when I go out to eat, everything has to be right. It wasn't the first visit to La Nave, but definitely the last visit. It's a shame that customer service is so difficult these days.

Our favorite Italian restaurant when we visit DE. Angelo & team are always welcoming, and the food and wine (take the Primitivo!) is always great.

The food was delicious and everything was freshly prepared - so good that we ended up ordering two lasagnas to take away. Even though the place was full, we spontaneously managed to get a table for two. The senior manager cashed in personally, and the junior manager was also really friendly. The team was extremely attentive and there was a little goodie at the end. Everything is perfect here – including the price-performance ratio. An all-round perfect experience!

We've been coming there for years. Always happy, it's just right here everything!

Combination: Unfortunately, other than the nice outdoor seating and the friendly gentleman who served, we didn't experience anything really good. Dried tortellini charred from the bottom, large pieces of pasta and a few dry spaghetti with a sparse crust. My complaint was accepted without any complications, the bowl was taken away and after a long wait (the table partner was now ready) the same thing was brought back with the same, stale-tasting tomato sauce. I would have expected a new juicy dish and an apology. I know Combinazione with 3 different types of pasta (lasagne, cannelloni, spaghetti) with tomatoes, meat filling, bechamel sauce and delicious cheese, juicy gratinated. Unfortunately here it's just a dull seasoned, loveless dish with no aroma. I would not dine at LaNave again.

As always, we ate very well. Everything is just right at La Nave.

We can't understand the positive reviews at all. The pizzas didn't taste good at all. We won't be eating or ordering anything there anymore.

Involtini alla chef is recommended to those who love cheesy sauces with fresh champions and spinach. Pork rolls filled with chicken taste very delicious with this sauce. The team speaks German, Italian and English

Een echte Italiaan, zoals je ze zelden in het buitenland tegenkomt. Wat doe je als simpele Hollander 's morgens rond koffietijd? Op terras een Koffie nemen, met een stukje gebak. Helaas dat was hier niet verkrijgbaar. De eigeneaar adviseerde eigen huisgemaakte Tiramisu(bij de koffie?). Buitengewoon wat een verrassing. En het diner magnifico.

We relied on the good reviews but unfortunately they were not completely fulfilled. The ambience is very nice and appealing so that the guest can feel comfortable. There are some compromises in service because we were allowed to wait 15 minutes to place our order and then the waiters were very friendly. Unfortunately we were disappointed with the food. The pasta was very aldente and we looked for seafood and found a mussel. The pizza was definitely not ready. The dough was still very soft and absolutely light and without any roasted aromas. The price/performance ratio is partly ok. Not with the noodles.
