La Maria is a nice Italian restaurant in Lichtenrade. It is nicely furnished and also has an outdoor area where you can comfortably end cozy summer evenings. Since it is on a side street far away from the mainstream, there is no annoying traffic. You can eat very well here - we've enjoyed everything so far! The food is served quickly and hot, the service is on point and has some quick sayings. The prices are reasonably cheap, so you can also afford dessert (if it fits)! So it's no wonder that La Maria is always well attended! That's why it's sometimes worth reserving a table... Unfortunately you can only pay in cash, but that doesn't stop you from coming back: now you know and take cash with you!

The food usually has a strange taste. The pizzas are very expensive for the taste.

We ate there two weeks ago and we were very satisfied. Unfortunately, on Friday we had to experience exactly the opposite. My wife also ate mussels again. The portion was a lot smaller, the wine sauce was so bad and there weren't even any towels for the hands!! I ordered a Cordon Bleu, a real disaster!! The meat was very tough and wasn't particularly seasoned and had too much breading. The cheese was so bad and the fries were very limp, not good!! I let most of the food go back and complained about it in a friendly way. Comment from waitress: I will tell the chef. There was not a word of apology and no Averna, espresso, etc. as compensation. That's not how complaint management works in Germany. We definitely won't visit this restaurant again!! Plus you can still just pay...that says a lot!!! We paid almost 30 euros for the meal, far too expensive for this meal!!

Well, two friends had to deal with their stomachs afterwards... just eat cheap... what a shame! Service is great... carbonara should be left out 😉

Metal shavings found in food after half eaten, Complaints in the restaurant... boss comes. Unfortunately, other than saying he was sorry and an explanation of where the piece of metal came from, nothing came. No apology or anything. Just stammering as to how this could happen. Instead of taking the food (i.e. this portion) off the bill, he "kindly" offered to provide the food again and after he realized that his suggestion was rejected, he "generously" took 2 already consumed café au lait from us taken from the invoice. So overall an unsatisfactory experience. Luckily it's not the only pizzeria in the district.

Dear La Maria team, we have been loyal regular guests of your local for years and it wasn't far off that we wanted to end our day with you after our civil wedding. We also thought it was great that we were allowed to bring our own colored napkins and have them on our reserved tables. As always, the food was delicious and our guests really enjoyed it too. Food is good, value for money too. In the summer it's lovely to sit outside. Parking spaces are rare. The only point of criticism: stained tablecloths. There's a better way - if necessary, table runners will do the job.

La Maria, seasonal extra dishes, be it asparagus, chanterelles, duck legs - we always find something tasty and inexpensive, keep it up (unless one of the waiters is sometimes not so motivated to be guest-oriented, sorry!)

It's a shame that the quality has been getting worse for some time now. I come from Stuttgart to visit relatives about 4-5 times a year and this restaurant was always our first port of call. Probably for 15 years. For more than 2 years now, the quality of the food, whether pizza, meat or pasta, has been getting worse and worse. Meat is partially burnt and is covered with sauce so that you can't see it, but of course it can't hide the bitter taste. Pizza is sometimes underbaked and in general all dishes are very neutral in taste. There's a lot of spice missing here like it used to be. Unfortunately, the famous pepper mill, which was somehow a special feature, is often forgotten. We will try again in a few weeks to decide whether we will ever visit this restaurant again.

We've eaten there twice in a row over the last few days. The last time we ate there was about 10 years ago and at that time we did it quite regularly because the prices were okay back then. But the dishes, portions and ingredients were more than minimalist, So we didn't go there anymore. Due to other restaurants having their holidays closed, we recently tried it again. The prices are still quite reasonable compared to other restaurants. Expecting that the dishes wouldn't be as sparkling as a result, we were pleasantly surprised. The starter/main course came very quickly and were quite good in terms of portions and ingredients. The taste was also very good... So we'll be back now more often...

Very good and tasty food at a reasonable price. The garlic soup tastes fantastic 🌞 I've eaten there several times and have always ordered the soup and have never been disappointed. Everything else is also super delicious 👍. The portions are also large and one main course will definitely fill you up. Every now and then the soup is enough for me. The personnel is very friendly and courteous. The ambience is very well done and you feel the Italian atmosphere.

It's a shame... I'll call 5 days in advance to ask if there is a highlight for the birthday child... Yes yes… Tiramisú and heititeiti! It was important to me because otherwise I would have organized something! The fact is, nothing happened. Please don't be so cocky if you don't get it baked! We were brought high chairs for my babies, but I politely declined them when I saw what they looked like. Sorry, but I won't put my kids in there 🤢 The service was consistently annoyed and didn't even try to hide it... no matter which table. You just feel 0 comfortable. Then how can you offer children's menus without children's cutlery? How should my son (2) eat with a large spoon? 🙄 The only thing that is appealing are the prices... 6.50 for a pizza, 3€ for a children's portion... is acceptable! Steak was great, the portions were also 1a in terms of quantity! Compliments to the kitchen… Nonetheless: I know I won't come back...

Only the waitress was very friendly and nice. I was at this restaurant 2 years ago and the food wasn't particularly good. Relatively speaking, I didn't like it. I had eaten a fish. I wanted to give this restaurant another chance. We ate Greek food that evening and were craving a tiramisu for dessert. That's why we ended up in this restaurant... an Italian restaurant - then a good tiramisu should be. Should‼️but it was a big disaster TIRAMISU‼️Only the name was Tiramisu but it wasn't Tiramisu at all. Cheap cream, no mascapone cream, no espresso and no amaretto in it. Three important skills of Tiramisu. It was a cream cake, but no tiramisu! There was only cheap cream and a Bite of chocolate - a chocolate sauce from the bottle. The waitress told us. The tiramisu was made by the restaurant itself. I had an espresso with it, which also tasted very bad. Probably a very cheap type of coffee. You go to an Italian restaurant and you couldn't drink a good espresso and you had this bad tiramisu that gave us a stomach ache. Two people. A big disappointment. These good reviews were probably bought.

My first visit to this restaurant. Nice terrace with enough space. When you enter the restaurant you are surprised: it is bigger than it first appeared. The menu offers something for every taste. Positive: various children's meals with funny names for little money. The service is friendly and very familiar, you immediately feel like a regular guest. We chose the La Maria grill plate and rigatoni with broccoli and chicken breast. Plus a hefeweizen, cola and water. The portions are plentiful. The three types of meat on the grill plate were consistently well grilled, juicy and well seasoned. There was also herb butter, nothing more was needed. The pasta dish was well received by my son. The service here is quick and attentive. Overall a pleasant stay with delicious food. We look inside again, then on the terrace.

Always enjoyed going to this restaurant, it was ok for the price. However, unfortunately something has changed significantly in terms of quality and especially in the service. So unfortunately all I can say is: STAY AWAY FROM THIS RESTAURANT. Oh, please be careful, unfortunately you will find hair or objects in your food and then we will be accused by this unfriendly and incompetent would-be waiter of having put it in your food yourself. The ambience is reminiscent of a quick snack. The food was appropriate for the price. The waiter we caught ended up bringing us the bill and left immediately. Empfehlung von Freund. Leider bin ich schon mit mieser Laune in das Restaurant gekommen, da im 10-15min nach ein Parkplatz suchen musste. Angekommen war das Restaurant sehr voll. Ohne Reservierung keine Chance. Hab mir Hüftsteak bestellt mit Salzkartoffeln statt Kroketten. Aussage der Bedienung: "gegen Aufpreis kein Problem, aber sie fragt nochmal nach" War dann (was für mich Selbstverständlich ist) doch kostenlos. Bekommen habe ich dann, sage und schreibe "ZWEI Kartoffeln". Das Steak in Pfeffersoße war ganz gut. Und was mir noch aufgefallen ist, was ich aber amüsant fand: Zu jeder Speise... wirklich jeder Speise, hat die Bedienung gefragt ob man Pfeffer will (Sie hatte auch ihre Pfeffermühle immer griffbereit) Was mich extrem gestört hat, alle 5min ging ein Happy Birthday Lied durch das ganze Lokal und irgendwer bekam ne kleine Torte. Da wir wegen einem Meeting da waren nervte das schon sehr.

Die Brokkolisuppe war echt mehr Wasser wie Suppe.Also nach meiner Erfahrung sind die Suppen nicht der Hit, doch alles andere kann man super gut empfehlen. Die Portionen sind sehr gut wie auch der Geschmack. Preislich kann man auch nicht knurren und der Service ist einfach SUPER. Bin sehr zufrieden und auch gerne dort zum Futtern.

Wir waren heute zum Geburtstag meiner Mutter dort zu 8 essen. Es hat einfach alles gepasst. Der Service war top. Das Essen sehr lecker. Der Preis Top und als Highlight gab es noch ein Geburtstagsständchen von den Kellnern und das war so süß gemacht. Einfach Klasse. Prima

War schon öfter dort. Früher war der Service und das Essen super, aber jetzt ist es leider nicht mehr empfehlenswert. Habe schon 2 mal dort Schnitzel gegessen und beide male war dieses nicht richtig durchgebraten. Bin echt enttäuscht 😞

Das Essen hat sehr nachgelassen. Die Schnitzel waren zäh und trocken. Die Nudeln auch ohne Sosse , somit auch trocken. Würde da nur noch Pizza essen. Evtl. neuer Koch ???
