A lot of dust on the table. The service was very poor. The food was delicious, but the behavior of the service staff was very poor.

We ate last night, but the waiter acted awkwardly toward us. Example: He wants to serve a lot of people. He came to the table once, then we wanted to order, but he didn't have time to listen to gossip. Just act like a café. Don't waste money there.

This is probably the only place where I had great service. The waiter actually walked by a few times and asked me how everything was and if I wanted any refills or anything more when I was done. Almost every other restaurant I had been to basically left me to fend for myself and I had to practically grab someone to get a bill or a refill. But here they actually took great care and provided the best service I've ever had. Would definitely go back.

The ambience is very nice and the service is nice. In our opinion, the price-performance ratio is not right. The pizzas (17€) tasted very bland/inconsequential, as if they weren't seasoned at all. Adding more seasoning didn't save it. The wine was also quite tasteless. Unfortunately it is too expensive for us.

The atmosphere, food and especially the staff at the restaurant we went to on the last day of our Berlin holiday were very good. It is a bit difficult to find such a smiling face in Germany. I definitely recommend it.

Good morning, I am currently investigating how to close this restaurant for attempted mass poisoning. It seems that the cook has fallen asleep on the salt, or he is trying to reconvert to salting cod. One bite of my dish and I thought I saw my life flash by... in black and white. Special mention to the waiter who watched me suffer without flinching, surely trained in the “blank and silent stare” technique in the event of a disaster. A great moment of gastronomy... if you are a snail who loves salt. Flee, unless you have a passion for “Dead Sea” style dishes.

An unforgettable experience… for my sodium level If you are looking for a place where your palate will be assaulted by a salt storm worthy of the Dead Sea, look no further, you have found the perfect address! Every bite was a challenge, a battle between my love of food and my survival instinct. I almost called the emergency room for an unseasoned vegetable infusion. Special mention to the waiter who smiled when I asked if they had a partnership with a brand of bottled water. Spoiler: he poured me even more water, probably to drown me. In short, if you like dishes where salt replaces all other ingredients, go for it. Otherwise, your blood pressure will tell you to go elsewhere.

We visited Marea for the first time this evening and were very positively surprised. Even though it was extremely busy, we were served very attentively by Philip. The pasta with salmon was very tasty, the pizza was fresh out of the oven with a perfect crust. We'll definitely be back!

I don't normally write reviews. Now I'm making an exception because I haven't had such a good dining experience in a long time - and my family and I are ambitious restaurant goers. We ended up at Marea by chance as we had planned a visit to the Spy Museum, which is right next door. The food was fresh, very tasty and above all authentic Italian. Our daughter ate a pizza from the children's menu - it was also very good. In addition to the food itself, the service - in persona Leo - should also not go unmentioned. It's rare to have such an attentive and friendly waiter. Our daughter also got a starter soup, although this was only included in the lunch menu. And at the end there was a small KiBa for them and a homemade limoncello on the house for the adults. It's worth stopping by the Marea restaurant!

Average food, but still okay. Strange: Operated by Indian (?) team. Never seen it like this before. Service ok. Men's toilet dirty. So everything can still be improved. Prices for the location at the tourist hotspot are still ok, if the conditions would be better.

The restaurant is charming. We were very well received and attended to by Leo. The atmosphere is elegant and welcoming. Vast menu, excellent service and fair price. The dishes we chose were delicious!

I found the food very tasty, had the bean soup and, for dessert, a tiramisu that was prepared without alcohol. The portion of the soup was perfect and the portion of the tiramisu could have been eaten by two people, I think it was so big. I arrived from Hamburg and came in late but despite everything, very friendly staff and great food. Would recommend you.

The many reviews are misleading. Change of ownership. Not Italian. Indian staff only. Online menu does not correspond to the menu in the restaurant. There is only pizza or pasta. Unfortunately the bread for the starter wasn't that nice. Sticky. You could bake it. Very large pieces of garlic in everything. All dishes showered with Rocula. No idea what that's about. Food itself ok. But nothing more. I wouldn't go there again.

Italian food from non-Italians. Service left a lot to be desired. Despite a reservation, no table was prepared. The atmosphere is geared towards tourist mass processing with a maximum number of tables, so that a butt always brushes against your table when a neighbor wants to pass by. At the neighboring table, guests couldn't order in English - at Potsdamer Platz! The quality of the food was OK. But no reason to come back.

Currently you would have to say: an Italian-style restaurant! Italian music is played and there is Italian-style food that is okay, but doesn't really do justice to an (original) Italian restaurant. The Indian staff is friendly and the restaurant is suitable for wheelchair users. The ambience, on the other hand, is a bit cool. 5 years ago: I spontaneously requested a table for 11 people (including two wheelchair users). Tables were immediately moved and space was made. A very friendly team served delicious soups, antipasti, pizzas and pasta. Highly recommended, nice atmosphere and not expensive.

Absolutely awful. Two of us ate there earlier this evening. We had the bruschetta to start which was average and the schnitzel as a main. It was so overcooked and really tough. We both left it. The service was awful. Our starter plates weren’t cleared before the mains arrived and I had to lift and hold the starter plate so the waiter could put the main down. When we got up to leave the next people coming to the table were there before I’d even stood up and put my coat on, and for this privilege we paid €88. Absolute rip off. Avoid.

Before our visit to the museum, we took a short lunch break in Marea. We were served by a very nice waiter and didn't have to wait long for our food. Our pizzas were very fresh and delicious.

All in all an ok experience. Good pizza, ok cabonara. Risotto with prawns etc. didn't taste like much. Could have used a lemon boat.

Convenient location beside the mall of berlin. The restaurant is very bare in terms of character. The portion sizes of each dish were good, loved the 1 liter beers as well. However, I would definitely say that this is not authentic Italian food, but more so Italian "themed".

The room is loud and incredibly warm. The spaghetti spinach was incredibly cheese-heavy and had very little spinach. The seafood pizza was with little seafood, lots of cheese and way too much garlic. The staff was very friendly and quick.

Made a reservation for three and nobody at reception knew about it. The waiter then showed us to 'our' table, which were 3 chairs squeezed together at the end of a table full of different people. When telling the waiter we wouldn't sit there, he told us that it was as told on the phone (despite not knowing about the reservation at all??). Extremely unpolite staff and preferred starving to eating at this place.

We chose this place because the reviews were great, but the service was terrible !! They brought us the drinks and spilled them all over the table and never cleaned it. The food took ages to arrive. Not a pleasant experience.

We must of come on a bad day or the reviewer’s here have absolutely no idea of what Italian food should taste like!! Came into this place last night after a long flight and greeted very poorly by an abrupt small bald waiter with an attitude (both) twice his size and one that does not belong in the hospitality/food service industry. His attitude put me off immediately the moment I walked in and normally I would have walked straight back out again but my wife was hungry. My wife had a meat dish that not even a chainsaw could handle even though it was extremely under cooked!! It was (to be totally honest) like leather. I chose a safe dish which was (to say the least) absolutely poor. Penne Arabiata with not a touch of chilli punch inherited in the extremely poor sauce which was basically tomato purée. The rocket salad was fresh and well presented but I extremely doubt whoever it was in the kitchen has got any idea of Italian cuisine and how to prepare it. Upon leaving and bringing the meat dish issue to the attention of the bald waiter we were again greeted by his attitude. You really need some customer service training mate. If you’re having a bad day, go home. Your attitude completely drowns your (if it’s yours) business. I have been in the kitchen and food service trade for a considerable number of years and can understand that you had a large occasion booking by the arrangement of tables. However, you really need to lift your standards to food industry levels or move onto a different business. Total disgrace mate!!!

Tempted by other opinions, we decided to visit this restaurant ourselves and, to be honest, we were disappointed. The first impression was not bad, we were welcomed, as I guess, by the waiter described here and that was the end of the pleasant experience. We were left to our own devices because the "more expensive" tables were more important to the staff (it was just me and my partner at ours). We waited a long time to order, but the situation was saved by the boy behind the bar who saw our attempts to stop the waiter. The food we got was tasty but average, definitely not close to Italian. The pizza had a good dough, but not all frozen pizzas taste the same, but we got a very good lasagne, the sauce was really creamy and tasty. I am disgusted that for such a price (over €30 without drinks) I received a meal that was bland. The restaurant is considered to be decent and higher class, but the only thing they did wrong was the location.

Very nice place, I think can be easily missed since it doesn’t look like much, very friendly staff, I had Carbonara - was very tasty and we also received shots of limoncello (but I don’t think they had too much alcohol, or maybe at all :D). Nevertheless, a good place to stay and enjoy an evening out.

We were looking forward to the large appetizer platter. We had high expectations given the price. It wasn't a deliciously dressed vegetable, it wasn't very imaginative, there was little quantity and it was presented carelessly. The staff was not attentive and there was no clear responsibility for the complaint. It was passed on to the “boss”. This referred to the “boss”… we got another helping. But based on our experience, we cannot recommend the restaurant

DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY EATING HERE! Ordered Scalopini al limone - meat was super tough. Also ordered what was supposed to be Milanese Risotto- which it wasn’t. Asked the waiter to check with the chef to confirm (thinking it could have been a mistake) but no, was a Milanese risotto to them. Full of tomatoes, zucchini, broccoli, a red sauce and no saffron taste? It should have been called any other type of risotto. The glass of white wine i ordered was DISGUSTING! Did not drink it. To finish off, i asked for the bill 4 times and it came after 10 minutes. Not the worst thing to happen but i was hoping to take some photos while the light was good. Anyways, €59 later, i am full of bad food because i was starving and a great memory for my first time in Berlin.

I tried being experimental and got myself a plate of spaghetti (something I never really do in restaurants) and I thought it to be very tasty. My partner had a schnitzel that also was delicious. Sitting outside in the evening sun was very much a comfortable experience.

This was our third time here! We are absolutely thrilled! Price-performance is right. The service, especially waiter Mario, is unbelievably great!! For my birthday there was even free tiramisu and schnapps! We'll be back soon!! Thank you for everything! Great team!

Unfortunately this Italian disappointed me. Due to rain all tables, chairs and umbrellas were wet. Everything was dried before we sat down, but drips continued to drip from the umbrellas. We were able to implement that. At the new table we had the menus placed on the table again by the waiter from whom we had ordered shortly before. You also have to take into account that some of the waiters here only speak English. Additionally, both chairs I was sitting on wobbled. I paid €6.50 for a large cappuccino. This was neither big nor particularly tasty. Unfortunately, Cola and iced tea also come without a bit of ice or lemon. We didn't eat here. We were only supposed to pay in cash, although card payment would have been possible and we asked for it. All in all it seemed very loveless. No recommendation.
