Il Giardino in Berlin

Gestern Abend zwei verschiedene Pastagerichte ( 1x mit Pfifferling und 1x mit getrockneten Tomaten ) Beides ausgezeichnet. Man sitzt sehr schön im Vorgarten Bedienung und Küche sind schnell und angenehm. Gerne wieder.

Sehr gutes Essen und hervorragender Service. Habe mich sehr wohl gefühlt. Danke.

Ein völlig spontaner Besuch ohne Reservierung. Trotz Fülle gab es einen Tisch für 2 auf der schönen Terrasse. Das Ristorante ist sehr gepflegt, innen und außen. Der Service war trotz vieler Gäste stets sehr freundlich, etwas langsam in manchen Vorgängen (Bestellungen aufnehmen, Rechnung 2x bestellt bzw. erinnert). Die Speisen waren nicht nur lecker, sondern köstlich (Pasta und Pizza jeweils vegetarisch). Teuer sind eher Getränke als Speisen, aber ein gepflegtes Etablissement muss von etwas leben.... Es war ein absolut positiver Besuch und wir werden erneut einkehren.

Ein perfektes Essen in einem tollen Ambiente

Nicht nur das Essen ist hier top sondern das ganze Team ebenso, war mit meiner Mutter und meiner Freundin da und vor allem Andrea hat den Abend zu etwas besonderen gemacht! Vielen Dank nochmal und wir haben wohl unseren neuen Stamm Italiener gefunden!

Manche Restaurants besucht man zum ersten Mal aus Neugier. Andere begleiten einen über Jahre, weil einfach alles stimmt. Il Giardino gehört für uns ganz klar zur zweiten Kategorie. Egal ob drinnen oder draußen – ein Besuch ist hier immer ein Genuss. Besonders die Trüffelpasta ist jedes Mal ein Highlight, aber auch das Rinderfilet, die Tagliata sowie die klassischen Pasta- und Pizzagerichte überzeugen regelmäßig. Man merkt, dass hier Wert auf gute Produkte und ehrliche italienische Küche gelegt wird. Dazu ein wunderbarer Lugana von Ca‘ dei Frati, der für uns inzwischen fast schon fest zum Besuch dazugehört. Und natürlich ein Service, der herzlich, aufmerksam und dabei angenehm unaufgeregt ist. Genau die Art von Gastfreundschaft, die dafür sorgt, dass man immer wiederkommt. Besonders schön: Die Terrasse ist jetzt wieder geöffnet und die Außensanierung hat dem Ganzen noch einmal zusätzlichen Charme verliehen. Ein richtig gemütliches Plätzchen, um einen entspannten Abend bei gutem Essen und einem Glas Wein zu verbringen. Fun Fact zu den Fotos: Die zwei leeren Teller sind kein Versehen. Das Essen war so lecker, dass ich erst ans Fotografieren gedacht habe, als schon alles aufgegessen war. Bis bald – wir freuen uns schon auf den nächsten Besuch.

Ein wunderbarer Abend! Wir haben uns hier rundum wohlgefühlt und das Essen sehr genossen. Die klassisch rot-weiß karierten Tischdecken sorgen sofort für eine tolle Atmosphäre. Besonders beeindruckt hat uns der Service direkt am Tisch, als der Käse in einer großen Form mit einer Flamme zubereitet wurde. Das war ein echtes Highlight. Auch die Desserts waren köstlich und liebevoll angerichtet. Wir kommen definitiv bald wieder.

Waren hier 2 mal Essen beim Berlinbesuch, tolles nettes Team , engagiert , zuvorkommend und aufmerksam . Schönes Ambiente drinnen wie draußen , Speisen sehr schmackhaft und preislich vollkommen in Ordnung .

Wir waren gestern zu dritt,nach Reservierung, im Il Giardino. Sehr schönes Ambiente,sehr sauber,aufmerksame,freundliche Kellner. Das Essen ist ausgezeichnet und schön angerichtet. Die Tische stehen etwas eng,uns hat es nicht gestört, man kann sich gut unterhalten. Zum Abschluss haben wir noch eine Dessertplatte(auf'sHaus) bekommen,es war köstlich. Wir kommen gerne wieder.

Hab mehr gezahlt als auf der Karte steht da die mehrwertsteuer anscheinend nicht in der Karte berechnet wird sondern am Ende auf jedes Gericht gepackt wird. Trotzdem lecker dafür das Albaner italienisch kochen.

Das Restaurant ist innen richtig gemütlich. Und sie machen ein wunderbares saisonales Risotto mit Spargel und Lachs!

Wir lieben es, dort zu sein, Freundlichkeit nicht zu überbieten und es macht immer wieder Spaß, dort einen schönen Abend zu verbringen.

Man weiß gar nicht was man zuerst loben soll. Die absolut tollen Menschen, die dort arbeiten? Der stets herzliche Empfang ? Das unglaublich leckere Essen und ständig wechselnde Wochenkarte mit saisonalen Gerichten? Eine absolute Empfehlung und unser Stammitaliener ❤️

Mein Aufenthalt bei Il Giardino war sehr angenehm. Wir kamen in einer großen Gruppe, wurden bestens umsorgt und mir persönlich schmeckte das Risotto Frutti di Mare und die Trüffelpommes sehr gut. Bei der Pommes hätte ich mich drüber gefreut, wenn ein Dip dabei wäre. Ansonsten alles tip top!

Wunderbar wie toll dieser Laden nach der Übernahme geworden ist. Der Service ist immer nett und zuvorkommend und das Essen einsame Spitze! Reservierung meinerseits empfohlen

We love coming back to Il Giardino and have found our favorite spot and our absolute favorite pizza here. The pizza is a real highlight for us – simply delicious. We're especially impressed by the incredibly friendly team: even when things get really busy, they never lose their composure, their good humor, or their charming way with the guests. That's what makes all the difference – you immediately feel welcome and a little bit like you're in Italy.

I wish I had discovered this restaurant on the first night of my trip. What a beautiful place. The service and the food are amazing. This restaurant makes me sad that I am going home.

There was stool in the toilet sink, so I suspect the employees don't wash their hands. Maybe that's why the pizzas taste so spicy.

The fake "Buona sera" greeting from the "Italians" is a familiar sight in other restaurants with Albanian-Turkish-Macedonian (?) owners. Fine. But when I'm addressed as "my dear" for the fourth time in the evening by waiters I don't know, I get annoyed. And if the pizza then tastes like a soggy fake, completely un-Italian, I'd rather not go back to "Il Giardino." P.S. By the way, a strange series of overly positive reviews with perfectly lit photos. All real?!

Last Saturday, the two of us spontaneously visited this wonderful restaurant. Despite it being packed, the staff quickly made sure we got a table for two. The food was (as always) very, very good. At the end, we got dessert on the house. Highly recommended!

What a discovery ❤️❤️❤️ I, and we all, were thrilled by the unusual ambiance with so much style, taste, elegance, and a feel-good factor. The service deserves 6-7 points! Unbelievable. And then the food... Simply fantastic - some of the best tagliatelle from the Parmesan cheese gravy, naturally flambéed with generous amounts of melted Parmesan cheese. Plus black truffles, which truly deserve that name 😀 The whole thing is served in a crispy Parmesan cheese basket. Not just a visual work of art, but a taste that is second to none! I hadn't tried the Venetian-style liver with truffled mashed potatoes - incredibly good with a sauce that reveals the full artistry of the kitchen. 5 stars are far from enough here. And if there's one thing I value so much, it's genuine, heartfelt hospitality. Thank you for being there.

Very good pizza and desserts, especially ice cream.

Beautiful location, but the staff were unpleasant when it came to assigning seats. It was very stressful. Two people were always given an uncomfortable table in the middle, even though the restaurant was still very empty. The waiter was very annoying and unfriendly. The typical ajoli spaghetti left a lot to be desired, and the salad was just green leaves. Although the restaurant is beautifully located, I will avoid going there again.

Il Giardino is an absolute gem! I recently had the pleasure of dining at Il Giardino, and I can only say it was one of the best dining experiences I've ever had. From the moment I entered the restaurant, I felt warmly welcomed. The ambiance is cozy and inviting, with a touch of Italian charm that immediately creates a relaxed atmosphere. The service was first-class – the staff were attentive, friendly, and very knowledgeable about the menu. Our server was extremely helpful in choosing dishes and was able to answer all of our questions. The menu itself offers a fantastic selection of traditional Italian dishes, all prepared with fresh, high-quality ingredients. I had the Tagliatelle al Tartufo, and it was absolutely delicious – perfectly cooked al dente and with a wonderfully aromatic truffle sauce. The pizzas my companion ordered were also outstanding – crispy, well-topped, and full of flavor. I would also like to particularly highlight the wine list, which offers a wide selection of Italian wines that perfectly complement the dishes. Overall, my visit to Il Giardino was a thoroughly enjoyable experience. I can recommend this restaurant to anyone who wants to enjoy authentic Italian cuisine in a charming setting. I'd even give the restaurant 6 stars, as everything was perfect: service, staff, and food. We ate there for the Christmas party and were thrilled. After the renovations, this was our second time there, and it definitely won't be our last. Thumbs up and thank you so much again 🥰

We had a reservation with a group, everyone was very satisfied, very good food, ideal for our meeting, and as a bonus there was a delicious dessert.

We had a wonderful evening with friends at Gardino II and can highly recommend this authentic Italian restaurant. Tucked away on a small side street in Steglitz, it's a real insider tip. The cozy garden and the inviting atmosphere in the restaurant immediately make you feel at home. The four of us started our evening with a delicious appetizer platter and a matching wine – the selection truly has something for every taste. The menu is varied, the dishes are delicious, and the value for money is absolutely spot on. Added to that is the outstanding service, which made our evening perfect. Anyone looking for authentic Italian hospitality and cuisine in Berlin will find it here. We'll be happy to come back! Thank you

We had a pizza mista and a pizza vegetariana for lunch. Unfortunately, both had a very low taste and were rather sparsely topped. Not even the dough tasted of anything. Apparently, they forgot all the seasoning. When asked how we liked it, we answered "bad" and explained why. The waiter simply said "OK." No regrets, no apologies, nothing. So, unfortunately, the service was also poor. It's a shame, because it's a nice place to sit. But not like this; this visit was a waste of money, unfortunately.

Amazing! I highly recommend it – especially the truffle fries

Not a real Italian restaurant. We're disappointed. We don't understand where all these good reviews come from. Unfortunately, we can't agree. Broken glasses, mediocre food.

Apart from the name and the Mutti tomato products on display and the discount pasta, the various mixed drinks are probably the only thing that's "authentically Italian." The pasta was all noticeably overcooked, and I'd rather not describe the sauces here. The crowning glory was my wife's lamb fillet, which cost almost €33...really poorly prepared: the meat was cooked tough, the mushrooms were fried black. The grilled vegetables on the side were also way overdone. This is simply a poor quality, as it was absolutely not full. There's also a wine bar...four house wines and one additional one on the daily menu. Positive mentions include the various Italian mixed drinks and the pleasant ambiance outside facing the street under the beautiful trees.

Very good food, service could definitely be improved! No small plate for sharing the starter. Our request was forgotten. We waited a long time for our food, and it only arrived after complaining. And then they get upset about a small tip. We won't be back. They probably don't need to!

The service was great, the staff was extremely friendly, and the food was fantastic. I was there for a Wednesday lunch in a large group with my extended family. Each individual ordered a different main and all ended up being very pleased! If I'm ever in Berlin again I would absolutely return.

AMAZING ! We had a family lunch at Il Giardino in July. It was fantastic. The pizzas and pastas were amazing.. my entire family raved at the amount of food and how delicious it was. The staff was also amazing .. giving us 2 platters of dessert because we were from Canada. Again thank you for the amazing meal. Highly recommend Il Giardino !!

Very nice atmosphere. Unfortunately, the salad dressing was too salty, and so was the salad. The pasta was a large portion. The lasagna was also far too salty. I told the waiter, but there was no response. It's a shame. It's a very nice place to sit.

Good food - I've had worse, I've had better. Most of the staff has limited German, which is odd if it's a restaurant in Berlin. Make sure to ask for a paper copy of the bill and check it closely - when they told me and my wife (verbally) that the bill was 85 euros, we asked for a paper copy. Turns out, a third entree of 31 euros had been "accidentally" added to our bill. Servers were good if not exceptionally kind to older patrons - we observed the male staff was much friendlier and attentive to the table of young ladies than they were to us - no big deal, just funny.

An authentic Italian restaurant with lovely outdoor seating. There's a standard menu and a specials menu. We really enjoyed it because the food and the waiters are authentic.

Despite having made a reservation, we were given a small table that barely had enough space for our plates, and our water bottle had to be left to one side. Across from us was a single person at a large table for two. When we asked for a larger table, we were put off, and the next couple was given a table for four, while we were later given a slightly larger table for two. I felt discriminated against! In any case, the evening wasn't as enjoyable as I had hoped.

There are many Italian restaurants in Berlin - those that are really convincing are rare. But Il Giardino is one of them. The cuisine and service are convincing at the highest level, only professionals are at work, with heart and feeling - you can feel that and taste it! An undoubted recommendation for everyone! My companion wanted to order a lasagna, the answer from the service was: We don't have lasagna today - it's a shame. Ok, then it will be a Pizza Diavola. Ordered and also a bit disappointed, the salami was not spicy at all and the peppers listed on the menu were not available. The Pizza Mista I ordered, on the other hand, was quite tasty and I would give it a rating of 2. But we will still give Il Giardino a chance.

We were there again with the family on Saturday last week for our son's birthday dinner. He had invited. It was simply outstanding again. We were in this wonderful pizzeria at the start of 2025 👍👍 and we really found it to be first class again. A real secret tip 👍 Excellent value for money. We came here for the first time on a recommendation and will definitely come back. The service was attentive, cheerful and friendly, and the food was delicious. At the end, the three of us received a mixed dessert plate (without charge), with the tiramisu in particular being excellent, and a digestif on top of the bill. It was very crowded that evening and the tables were quite crowded, so it was very loud and a little uncomfortable. But it's certainly more pleasant when not every seat is occupied.
