This is the second time I've been to Il Giardino and I'm absolutely thrilled. Unfortunately, this great Italian restaurant is 27 miles from my home, otherwise it would become my go-to restaurant. The food is excellent, the staff is super friendly and very attentive, the atmosphere both outside and inside is very pleasant and the price-performance ratio is right. So all in all a restaurant that I would recommend at any time and will definitely make the long journey myself from time to time.

There is not an english menu, just a german/italian. The menu did not include a specific wine list, just three variations of "wine of the house". Good service and bread/olives on the table before dishes was served.

Pretty restaurant a little off Schloßstrasse. You can sit perfectly both inside and outside, the atmosphere is great. The food tasted very good, both the pizza and the grilled salmon were excellent. The prices are within the usual range, pizza between 11 and 15€, the salmon with a vegetable side dish comes to 23€.

Very friendly service, unfortunately when it's full there are longer waiting times. All of the food has tasted delicious so far.

Best Italian food with great service and tasteful ambience.

We would have liked to have been guests at Il Giardino again. We remembered lovely evenings from our last visits. Unfortunately the service is extremely unfriendly. When we tried to make a telephone reservation, we were abruptly cut off: "Call again tomorrow!" According to its website, the restaurant is open until 12:00 a.m. and, according to Google, until 11:00 p.m. We find it very surprising why a reservation is not possible before 10.30 p.m. We go to the competition and look forward to nicer treatment.

This Italian restaurant with a beautiful, quiet beer garden is located not far from Forum Steglitz. The prices are reasonable for the dishes and their quality. The service was quick and unobtrusive. There was bread and olives in advance, and there was also a good olive oil at the table. The pasta was Pacheri with salsiccia and buffalo mozzarella, as well as Sedanini with strips of beef fillet and mushrooms. Finally there was a Sambucca and a Limoncello It was very tasty in a nice atmosphere and we will stop by again.

The food and the price-performance ratio is very good. The garden and the interior are really beautiful too. Unfortunately the staff leaves a lot to be desired. Obviously you have to come there very regularly to receive courteous service. We were there with a group of 6 people. When it came time to pay, we were ignored for 20 minutes. We were made to feel that it was probably unreasonable that we wanted to pay separately. It's a shame that the service devalued the great visual and taste impression so negatively.

Il Giardino is an absolute gem! I recently had the pleasure of dining at Il Giardino and all I can say is that it was one of the best dining experiences I have ever had. From the moment I entered the restaurant I felt warmly welcomed. The ambience is cozy and inviting, with a touch of Italian charm that immediately creates a relaxed atmosphere. The service was first class - the staff were attentive, friendly and very knowledgeable about the menu. Our server was extremely helpful in selecting dishes and was able to answer all of our questions. The menu itself offers a fantastic selection of traditional Italian dishes, all made with fresh, high quality ingredients. I had the tagliatelle al tartufo, and they were absolutely delicious - perfectly al dente and with a wonderfully aromatic truffle sauce. The pizzas that my companion ordered were also excellent – ​​crispy, well topped and full of flavor. I would also like to particularly highlight the wine list, which offers a wide selection of Italian wines that go perfectly with the dishes. Overall, my visit to Il Giardino was a thoroughly successful experience. I can recommend this restaurant to anyone who wants to enjoy authentic Italian cuisine in a charming ambience. I will definitely come back!

The Albanian restaurant in the Friedenauer Kiez offers Italian dishes. Unfortunately, the initially consistently good quality of the dishes has deteriorated significantly and it varies from day to day depending on the occupancy. With the exception of the always friendly and well-organized waiter Rami, the rest of the service is sometimes an absolute disaster. We had reserved a table for 7 p.m. and were currently the only new guests arriving (2 adults and 2 children). We were assigned a table that had not yet been cleared and was completely filthy. But we preferred to wait until everything was cleared away and clean (or so we thought). The grumpy waiter did not comply with our request to replace the two wet seat cushions that were covered in cola (it felt like at least one glass per cushion). - Pillow just turned over briefly, great, the back was just as wet- I then exchanged them at a free table and was loudly told not to do this. Just another blanket was placed over the equally wet and totally sticky tablecloth, so that everything came through again after a short time. The previous guests' full ashtray and empty glasses were eventually cleared away with a grumpy face after repeated requests. Apparently the boss is on vacation and the employees don't have a plan. The order was taken 25 minutes after we arrived. After another 15 minutes the drinks were served. The children were now restless and after another 45 minutes I asked when our food would come. The waiter's incredible answer was that too many guests had arrived at the same time and it was too hot in the kitchen today. - No regrets or apologies from the waiter with glasses - He forgot to pass on our order. Only after “Rami” kindly took care of our food did we receive the food at 9 p.m. We were so annoyed that even the free grappa and dessert didn't detract from the whole experience. We politely declined everything. After that terrible evening, that... Il Giardino lost us and our friends as regular guests. My tip, then maybe go back to the beginning - more class, instead of mass-

Aufgrund guter Erfahrungen meiner Tochter, haben wir uns für dieses Lokal entschieden und waren begeistert. Von Ankunft bis zu unserem Abgang wurden wir rundum professionell und supersympathisch bedient. Sehr guter großzügiger Vorspeisenteller der auch optisch ansprechend bereitet war. 4 verschiedene Hauptgerichte von denen lediglich die Lasagne durchschnittliche war. Ceasars Salat, Kalbsleber und Pizza trafen voll unsere Geschmäcker. Überraschen wurde ein Nachspeisenteller geliefert - auf Kosten des Hauses, wir sich herausstellte. Auch dieser war köstlich. Bei unserem nächsten Strglitz Besuch kommen wir ganz sicher wieder.

Unscheinbares Restaurant in einer Nebenstraße, ruhig gelegen. Man kann hervorragend im Vorgarten genießen. Innen geräumig. Wir waren eine Gruppe von Freunden und alle Speisen (Salate, Fisch und Fleisch) waren gut und schmackhaft. Der Service war unaufdringlich und zum Schluß gab es einen Grappa auf´s Haus.

It's nice to sit on the terrace and the staff tried hard. That's it then. The risotto without real risotto rice, I was brought the wrong pizza, with the result that it had to be made again and my wife had to eat alone first. Not much of an excuse either. The tiramisu with way too much cream. Instead of limoncello there was crema di limoncello with coconut? When I did the billing, I realized that the drinks from the table next to us had been added to our account. I found the price-performance ratio to be below average. Maybe we just had a bad day? Maybe, but we probably won't find out...

Great service and very family/child friendly. We felt comfortable with two small children and would love to come back. You can sit very comfortably on the terrace in a quiet residential area. I would have liked a little more kick to my asparagus-filled ravioli, so I deducted a point here. But everyone else was very happy with the pasta and starter.

Wow, that was bad this afternoon. The pizza mista was terrible, except for the edge everything else was flaky, not crispy or anything. You could stuff everything in and the dough underneath was terrible... my pasta with chicken in tomato/cream sauce was tasteless, the chicken wasn't fried but had a soft consistency. Terrible. We will avoid this restaurant in the future. The tiramisu etc. that was offered as a replacement was something we wanted and didn't want to indulge in. It's a shame.

Boah war das heute schlecht. Die Pizza Mista war außer am Rand lapprig ohne Ende, man konnte die Zutaten einfach runter schieben und darunter kam ein lappriger Teig zum Vorschein …, ungenügend und ungenießbar. Die Pasta mit Hühnchen war geschmacksneutral in dieser Tomaten-/Sahnesosse mit frischen Tomaten 👎 Das Hühnchen war weich ohne Ende und nicht kross angebraten… furchtbar. Aber welcher Italiener stellt Spaghetti Carbonara mit ner Sahnesoße lt. Speisekarte her. Brrrrr. Das angebotene kostenlose Dessert wollten wir und nicht gönnen… Wir meiden dieses Restaurant künftig, falls Freunde es bevorzugen trinken wir max. Nen Wein. Insgesamt enttäuschend schlecht.

Sit outside in this quiet neighborhood spot between the best parts of Friedenau and the quiet side of Steiglizt. A large and mostly predictable menu with pizzas, pastas and beverages. Slow service and salty food. Delicious drinks and friendly staff.

If you don't mind being addressed as "my dear" if you're over 60, you'll find the service and ambience good. But that was yesterday too. Two pizzas, one Diavola and one vegetarian, were subterranean in terms of culinary delights. What was there after less than 5 minutes! What came to the table were warmed up, limp, pre-baked dough blanks with a completely tasteless cheese and tomato mix. Instead of spicy salami and peppers, Pizza Diavola was served with cheap discount chorizo ​​and NO peppers. The vegetarian topping was soft grilled vegetables, that's how it went. At least they didn't ask why the sausage was left next to the large remaining piece of pizza when it was cleared away, the service is okay. The request for the receipt was ignored, but according to hearsay, that's common practice!

Yes, the wide, grippy edge of my pizza was too much for me, the five fillets of dried tomatoes on the "il Giardino" were a bit sparse - but tasty where the toppings complemented the product base. “il Giardino” scored points for drinks. The Sarti Sprizz, served as an aperitif, also in the version as Sarti Lemon Sprizz, initiated a pleasant evening outdoors with a delicious meal, which was accompanied by the white house wine (a solid Chardonnay) and by a dessert "on the house" (tiramisu, ice cream , creme brulée and bright green liqueur - be careful, dangerously sweet!) and the usual digestifs (pleasant grappa and not flambéed, somewhat boring Sambucca).

We know Fabio from the Sale e Pane times. Yesterday, Saturday, we spontaneously made a reservation for the evening with 10 people at lunchtime. Attention fake Italians! We were invited to dinner there on Friday, February 23rd by our Berlin friends. The Trattoria Il Giardino makes a nice impression but nothing more. The cuisine is down-to-earth but also just mediocre. We ordered antipasti, bruschetta, pasta, salad and meat dishes. It was OK, but not Cucina Italiana Authentica. The strange thing about it all is that some employees spoke a completely different language than Italian. Since my wife was born in Albania, she noticed that most of the service there spoke Albanian. Original Italians only employ Italian Camarriers in service. We thought that was a shame because something was being kept secret and people were just being fooled. It seems that this restaurant has copied all Italian habits and unfortunately does not offer guests a clear picture. What a shame! I like to go to restaurants where I know whether the cuisine is original or not. But if you keep it a secret from the start, I find it extremely repulsive.

Really a great restaurant. We went here because of the good reviews and they were confirmed. We ordered pizza scampi, pasta carbonara and a salad with fish. Everything was very lovingly prepared and the taste was also very convincing. The olives and bruschetta were also fresh and delicious. The atmosphere was cozy and the waiter was attentive. Das Il Giardino ist ein erstklassiger Italiener. Hier stimmt einfach alles. Das Personal ist mit Herzblut und großer Leidenschaft dabei, das Essen ist von herausragender Qualität und die Stimmung im Restaurant ist großartig. Während unseres Aufenthalts hat die Truppe an zwei Tischen ein Geburtstagsständchen abgeliefert und mit Tischfeuerwerk und einem Chor aus drei Kellnern das „Happy Birthday“ geschmettert. Das ganze Lokal hat begeistert applaudiert. Wir haben Bruschetta und Carpaccio zur Vorspeise genossen und anschließend jeweils einen Steinbutt gewählt, der am Tisch filetiert worden ist. Der Fisch stand nicht auf der Karte und war uns als zusätzliches Gericht empfohlen worden. Als Beilage waren Gemüse oder Spaghetti im Angebot, wir haben uns für die Spaghetti entschieden. Ich bin ein sehr kritischer Gast, auch weil ich selbst gut und gerne koche. Aber hier war es anders: Alle Speisen waren perfekt zubereitet, es gab auch bei kritischer Sicht überhaupt nichts zu beanstanden. Die Spaghetti waren exakt auf den Punkt gegart und geschmacklich besonders gut gelungen. Der Steinbutt war ein Gedicht, sensationell, besser geht es nicht. Anschließend gab es die Nachtischvariationen aus Tiramisu, Panna Cotta und Gefrorenem vom Haus als Geschenk für uns. Wir waren sprachlos. Und auch hier war wieder jedes einzelne Teil hervorragend gelungen. Und nicht überzuckert, wie man es so häufig andernorts erleben muss. Der abschließende Espresso war wiederum so viel besser als gewöhnlich, denn der war überhaupt nicht ein bisschen wässrig, sondern durch und durch sämig und voller Aroma, phantastisch. Zum Essen gibt es eine große Auswahl sehr guter Weine, da ist für jeden Geschmack etwas dabei. Fazit: Für mich zur Zeit der beste Italiener in Berlin.

Top Italiener. Scheinbar erst seit einem Jahr da, deshalb kannten wir ihn noch nicht, leider 😁 Super schönes Ambiente, ganz nette liebe Bedienungen. Herzlich und zuvorkommend. Freitag Abend ohne Reservierung noch einen Platz bekommen. Auf Nachfrage wie die bianco Trüffel Pizza zubereitet wird durften wir das toping kosten. Die kellner haben sich richtig gefreut wie interessiert wir am essen waren und wie sehr wir uns begeistern konnten. Man merkt richtig, wie noch der Enthusiasmus da ist, hoffentlich bleibt das Lang. Echte dicke stoffservietten. Ein Gruß von der Küche ist auch mal dabei 👍 Alles auch sehr schön angerichtet, wir sind begeistert. Preislich für die Gegend, TOP ! Pizza Margarita für unter 10€ in Steglitz, dafür kann man auch 13 oder 15 hinlegen - dann oft noch nichtmal gut. Hochwertige Nudelgerichte mit guten Zutaten und aufwändig in der Zubereitung für 25€ Tiramisu nicht zu matschig und nicht zu viel Kaffee. Wenn man Kritik anbringen muss, die Lampe im hauptsaal ist nicht so schön, sieht aus wie eine Spinne 🤣 Da würde ein Kronleuchter gut passen 👌

Bestes Restaurant, quasi mein Stamm Lokal

Den „Buona sera“-Fake der „Italiener“ zur Begrüßung kennt man inzwischen aus anderen Lokalen mit albanisch-türkisch-mazedonischen (?) Eigentümern. Geschenkt. Wenn ich aber zum vierten Mal am Abend mit „mein Lieber“ angesprochen werde, von Kellnern, die ich nicht kenne, bin ich genervt. Und wenn die Pizza dann auch wie ein matschiger Fake schmeckt, gänzlich unitalienisch, dann will ich lieber nicht noch einmal ins „Il Giardino“.
