La maria in Nürnberg

We had a wonderful evening at an excellent restaurant. The service was very friendly, the food deserved its Michelin star, and the ambiance was quite original. The charming chef even explained the meaning of the murals to us. The non-alcoholic drinks that accompanied the six-course meal exceeded my expectations.

Let me start with the overall impression. It's a sports club, after all 🥱. Maria and Laki have made the best of it 🤗. The landlord could perhaps get them some newer seating for both the indoor and outdoor areas 👍🎉. Service: Super friendly, attentive, polite, and fun – absolutely top-notch 🥳😉. Food: I don't even know where to begin... Excellent, the best food ever! I can imagine this is what Greece tastes like 💕. The appetizers, the sea bass a DREAM, calamari, gyros, souvlaki – everything to die for 🥰 and the crowning glory ⚜️: Grandma's homemade 🎇🎆 galaktaburiko ⚜️⚜️⚜️ All in all: We'll be back! 10 out of 5 stars 🌟 in the A + B rating. Hope the board knows what they have in Maria and Laki 🤔🤭 November 2025, I have to reclaim my ambience stars. The restaurant has been renovated 🥂. It looks absolutely fantastic; you feel like you're in a taverna in Greece. The colors coordination is fabulous 🎉 It has something elegant yet cozy about it; you feel very welcome 🥰. A huge ❤️ compliment to the Laki family 🥂💐💐.

Luckily, we had to take a detour through Buchenbühl due to roadworks. That's where we discovered Pizzeria Girasole. The pizza was absolutely delicious and very generously topped. It was the best pizza I've ever had. The lasagna was also a treat – incredibly fresh and wonderfully seasoned. The hosts were always friendly and cheerful.

The doner/dürüm tastes very, very good. You always get full and the taste is hard to beat. Everything is fresh.

I got a doner kebab there, the price was right, it was good value for money. And the owner was very friendly.
