La Madera in Hamburg

We ate BBQ All You Can Eat. Spareribs, rump, shrimp and, as a side dish, potato dippers and garlic bread. The ribs were super tender and fell off the bone very well. The steak was cooked medium. It was very tasty and well fried. The shrimp were still in their shells. Very tasty in terms of taste. When you had finished your plate, you were asked if anything else should be brought. The service would have liked to have come by more often. The drinks had been empty for a while and I would have liked to order more. The restaurant is very large, but still cozy. Would love to come back.

Went to Sunday brunch, the buffet was rather small, the choice of food was questionable, the quality wasn't great. Service also strange. Drinks were almost slammed onto the table. Also grossly overpriced at €35

We ate here with the family on Boxing Day. It was more than disappointing, the food was lukewarm, partly dry and far too expensive for the quality. I can definitely do it better at home! The dessert was good. The service was unstructured, you were basically given breakfast (the shop wasn't full) Not unfriendly though. For us it will be the last time. Very unfortunate!

Tapas food was ok in terms of food, but not exceptionally good. Service very slow. There is often a 30-40 minute wait between ordering tapas and eating.

Unfortunately it has worn off. We are there with events at regular intervals. Apparently something is still open and the last guest in the group is then harassed. Yesterday I was supposed to pay for chocolate ice cream. It was obviously already canceled in the checkout. So one line plus and another line with minus. The waiter was unfriendly all evening anyway and then I have to pay for something that someone else had already paid for.

The service is absolutely top, attentive and very hard working. Visually appealing buffet, unfortunately partly cold (green beans, roast) . It was almost a given that you had to wait in line. The parking options are limited.

The charming combination of rustic style and modern elegance creates an incomparably warm atmosphere that is perfect for both intimate celebrations and larger wedding parties. The natural light streaming through the large windows provides wonderful conditions for authentic and atmospheric wedding photos. The lovingly designed details and the harmonious surroundings make it incredibly easy for me as a wedding photographer to capture unique moments. If you are looking for a location that is romantic and at the same time calmly stylish, you will definitely find it here.

Service was not coordinated, we had 3 different waiters in the evening, each badmouthed the other waiter. The blonde waiter was very arrogant and acted like he was the owner himself. We had "all u can eat" where we didn't receive any new plates, after we put them together we were told by this waiter "that's how you learn".

I invited 15 people to brunch. Everyone was very pleased that the young service staff were very quick and attentive. The buffet was very rich and no matter when you went, everything was filled up. I didn't notice a single empty disk, even after 1 p.m. Going for brunch is definitely worth recommending. Gladly again

If you're looking for physical closeness to strangers and enjoy fighting for every inch, you shouldn't miss brunch on the weekend. A logistical masterpiece to place the buffet in the narrowest part of the restaurant. One of the worst brunch experiences of my life. NOT RECOMMENDED.

Waren zuletzt mit Freunden zum Mittagessen dort. Zweimal hatten wir "Züricher Geschnetzeltes mit Rösti" und zweimal den "Grillteller" von der Mittagstischkarte bestellt. Das Züricher Geschnetzelte sah schon merkwürdig rötlich aus, als es serviert wurde. Als wir bei der Bedienung nachfragten, ob sie sich die Küche bei der Bestellung geirrt habe, verneinte sie es. Schon sehr merkwürdig ... Tomaten und Geschmack von Rote Beete-Saft im Geschnetzelten und dazu Rösti aus der Gefriertruhe. Nun zum Grillteller: das Fleisch etwas mehr als lauwarm, sehr zäh und undefinierbar, die Kartoffelspalten ebenfalls aus der Truhe. Anfang des Jahres waren wir auch mit Freunden zur Tapas-Satt-Aktion. Das Restaurant war rappelvoll und es war auch sehr laut. Okay, daran hätte man sich ja noch gewöhnen können, wenn wenigstens das Essen gut gewesen wäre und man das an Essen bekommen hätte, was man auch bestellt hat. Als man die Bedienung darauf angesprochen hatte, dass sei NICHT das was man bestellt hat, kam die Antwort: es sei doch egal, weil eigentlich ALLES gut schmeckt .... wir sollten es doch wenigstens mal probieren. Es ist wahrscheinlich der Überfüllung des Restaurants geschuldet, dass das Personal - im Service und Küche - total überfordert war und das Essen auch nur noch lauwarm war.

Gigantic. When you come in, you are in a large room with many small niches and corners where you can sit comfortably and eat in peace. We chose the basically all-you-eat option. You can first get a salad at the refrigerated counter. The thin ham there is delicious! You then have the choice of having up to 5 hot dishes, as many rounds as you like. We only managed two laps and were extremely satisfied. Really delicious, especially the meatballs and the bacon-wrapped turkey pieces. Three large drinks per person and a shared dessert - the homemade Mousse Au Chocolat was very tasty: a total of €105 The toilets are one floor higher. I was there recently and was shocked afterwards. At first everything seems quite reasonable, the service was relatively friendly. Later that evening I saw an old man with dark, short hair smoking in the shop. I just find it disgusting!! The apparent boss seemed very unsympathetic. My dish, pine-crusted chicken breast, was almost inedible. The meat is dry and the sauce is basically from the shelf at Netto. I won't eat here again and wouldn't recommend it to anyone.

As a younger person, I was very happy with the visit because I am often not taken seriously in restaurants and other places because I don't pay much. It was a very nice experience. Hier werden die Tapas auf lange Teller angerichtet und man hat das Gefühl das es zu wenig ist , das täuscht aber. Das Beste kommt bekanntlich ja zum Schluss und zwar das Dessert . One star is still too many for today's experience. We had already ordered a table to celebrate a golden wedding anniversary at the beginning of the week. When we arrived today, our table was apparently occupied and we were told to sit at an alternative table (semi-circular, everyone next to each other and conversation is not possible) and then move to our table later. When I said no, since we had made a special reservation and had people over 90 years old with us, the waitress became flippant, left us standing there stupidly and simply walked away. After I went back to the front to clarify the situation, there was a brief attempt to clarify something, but we were treated like supplicants and then decided to leave the restaurant. This restaurant was the last time I saw you. I've enjoyed being a guest so far, but the next appointment is on November 3rd. I have already canceled. Afterwards we ate in another restaurant and service was still very important there. I will now leave a very good review there. It's a shame when you don't seem to need guests.

Unfortunately we didn't like the food at all:( We had rump steaks and braised veal cheeks and overall the food was very bland and the consistency of the veal cheeks was overcooked and gel-like. The service was very friendly and we liked the ambience, but wouldn't go there again because of the food.

Ich war als Teil einer größeren Gruppe da, das Restaurant war gut besucht. Trotzdem war die Versorgung mit Getränken und Speisen durch das Personal sehr gut. Nicht gut, sogar sehr schlecht war mein La Madeira Burger, der auf der Speisekarte mit "100% Norddeutsches Rind" beworben wird. Leider sind die Teile vom Norddeutschen Rind zu einem Patti mit sehr feinem Brät verarbeitet worden, das von seiner Konsistenz her einer Frikadelle vom Billigsupermarkt ähnelte. Leider schmeckte es so wie es aussah, in erster Linie nach Gewürzen und Salz. Das geht deutlich besser!

Overall, our experience at this restaurant was extremely positive. The food was a real highlight of the evening. As a starter we had a delicious starter platter which featured a wonderful selection of sausages and cheeses - a perfect start to the evening. The main course, a juicy beef fillet, was absolutely excellent and of the best quality. The selection of wines was also impressive and perfectly rounded off the culinary experience. However, there were some small organizational deficiencies that marred our visit somewhat. Even though we were a group of only 10, we were served by at least four different waiters. This led to confusion and reduced the personal feeling of service that we would have liked, especially since it was agreed in advance that a permanent waiter would look after us. Unfortunately, the planned champagne reception also did not go as planned, which was probably due to poor internal communication between the staff and the restaurant management. Despite these small discrepancies, overall we were very satisfied with our visit. The quality of the food and drinks exceeded our expectations and we can fully recommend the restaurant.

Sure it's a restaurant but some tapas are way too expensive... 6 small potatoes 7.50? Pimentos too???... 4.50 or maybe 5.50 I still think it's a lot but compared to other tapas with higher quality ingredients... In addition, the tartar... totally spicy and visually grayish... because of this or due to oxidation... tartar should not be seasoned and certainly not in the way that flames come out of your mouth... That's about it... overall high price level but overall it's worth it.

We were there for dinner with 5 people. Three adults and two children. Since we were still at the time when the lunch menu was available, the adults ordered their fill of spare ribs. After almost 40 minutes we were served the worst ribs we have ever eaten. Totally “overcooked” and very clear. Three small ribs at a time. A repeat order, because I was hungry, consisted of two equally small pieces. If it hadn't been our granddaughter's first day of school, I would have complained massively and certainly would have left. We cannot recommend the food.

A wonderful restaurant with lots of ways to fill yourself up! Whether you're just eating tapas or a 3-course menu or BBQ, there's something for everyone. My wife and I had various tapas, all of which we would recommend, whether with fish, meat or vegetarian, they were all delicious! The house's recommendations are also good to see. Since we had a special evening to celebrate, we went p.p. I was there for 70€, but you can also get your fill for considerably less money! We'll definitely be back.

We went there for tapas. We had made a reservation, but we didn't need it. We received a friendly welcome. Unfortunately, the time gaps between the tapas rounds became longer and longer, so we drew attention to ourselves several times. So we could order more tapas. Therefore a star deduction. Otherwise the dishes were delicious and hot. We were full and satisfied.

Tapas were horrible. The shrimp were inedible. The chicken wings were completely burnt and dry. The beef fillets are completely fried and dry. The salad buffet is just terrible. I've eaten there so many times but it's never been this bad. Over time, the quality of the food in the restaurant really deteriorates. I'll never go in there again. I complained but still had to pay the full price. With three people we paid almost €100 for burnt chicken wings, inedible prawns that were certainly no longer as good as they smelled and tasted and well-done beef fillet.

We came to the BBQ All you Can Eat June/July promotion. The price was great, but so was the performance. We each ate two rump steaks. One rare, the other shoe sole. We want medium. In fairness, the ribs & prawns were great. The reason why two and not three stars: the service. We were served super slowly and unmotivated. (To put it kindly, we felt semi wanted) And our highlight: We should please keep the plates full of rib bones and prawn shells and continue eating them. Phew…That was unsavory. Surely none of this will happen if you just take a normal plate. But maybe this restaurant shouldn't offer All You Can Eat because we ended up pretty disappointed.

We are now extremely disappointed and very angry with the local. The staff is absolutely overwhelmed, inattentive and totally listless. Brazenly lie to customers, charge for side dishes that were not ordered! Waited over an hour for our food in a relatively empty restaurant. Customers who came after us got their food before us. Cappuccino the size of an espresso for €4.80 where actually a maximum of 3 sips of coffee and the rest was foam. Saving in the wrong place. Really incredibly bold and arrogant. Never again.

A beautiful, modern interior meets a kitchen that is in need of improvement! The food: We had roast beef and Caesar salad. We immediately returned the Caesar salad; brown lettuce leaves on the edges just mean old lettuce and inattentive cooks. The roast beef was dry and stringy without any flavor. The salad suffered from the same symptoms as the salad above, the fried potatoes were cut to different widths and the wider parts were almost raw. The prawns were dry and not fried to perfection! Nobody needs that, especially not for the price and this quality. Here, for example, appearance (furniture) and reality (food) are miles apart. Unfortunately, we didn't listen to other friends who had already warned us.

We were there for brunch for the first time today. Never again. for 30€ per person, really little on offer and everything was mixed up and no labeling whatsoever. Vitello Tomato was simply laid out 6 times, the same with the Roast Beef etc., the pesto to the Tomato Mozzarella laid out 5 times was in a corner away from each plate of the aforementioned. No labeling at all, no one knew whether I now eat goat's cheese or sheep's cheese. With two types of mozzarella on the plate, you don't have to know what you're eating. Dressing for the salads, one carafe said "whole milk", hmm didn't look like whole milk. The steaks? The cow died 5 times for it. The chicken? Drier than tires. Desserts that are advertised as high-quality patisserie on the website? Only after consultation, they would be set up when the kitchen feels like everyone is ready. Please note that the place was already empty and nothing had to be put away. What if I want to leave early? The "patisserie" consisted of tiramisu (it was just cream and ladyfingers and cocoa powder, maybe two more drops of coffee), chocolate mousse and raspberry pudding (?, one can only guess, there was no sign) and fruit salad). No trace of sliced ​​cheese and only salami and raw ham when it comes to cold cuts. As we all know, brunch stands for breakfast and lunch, but the point of breakfast was lost. Service? we asked for napkins, they rolled their eyes and said they were laid out. they weren't. They asked for cutlery because 1. ours were dirty by now and one set was put away. the first time you asked, you would be insulted as to why you gave it away. When my sister asked for cutlery, they said there were 2 sets of cutlery on the table and they couldn't give out any more cutlery and started a heated and unfriendly discussion with us, after all it wasn't a 5th die restaurant. My comment that it was a buffet and given the prices I should expect cutlery was dismissed even more unkindly. I finished the whole thing. Employees argued among themselves in front of the guests that the gentleman (our waiter) should just do his job and not seat guests because it was the lady's job alone. and the atmosphere was like a common thread throughout the entire stay. There was whispering everywhere and there was discontent, you could really feel it. People were actually afraid to even speak to the employees.

Since you can now pay with your EC card again, I went there for dinner with my wife on November 5th, 2023 at 12:00 p.m. We were directed to the room next to the street. There was a company right next to us, which meant we couldn't talk while eating because the noise from the company was so great. On the side of the restaurant where we always sat, everything was empty when we left. To eat: The honey spareribs fell off the bone this time, but were definitely from last week, as the meat was so dry that it would have been nice to have a sauce with it. The coffee is served without milk. It's nice that my wife, unlike me, can walk well. She then got me the milk for my coffee. Calling for service would have been pointless given the noise. Also a complaint about the honey spareribs. We were happy that we could leave the restaurant again. We will probably hardly come here again. Eating something in a quiet atmosphere is not possible here. We were there again on June 9th, 2024. This time we sat outside. The conversion was very successful. I tried the honey spareribs again. The disappointment was there again: it was difficult to remove the meat from the bones. So never again honey spareribs.

For good money, decent portions, courteous service and good quality.

Very nice restaurant. We had tapas, which tasted very good. And the service was super friendly, even though we were the last guests. Not quite as cheap, but I'd love to come back.
