La Locanda in Villingen-Schwenningen

We found ourselves in this little country dive by pure chance; we had read about Calabrian cuisine. The food was mediocre. Unfortunately, there was a strong stench of cigarette smoke and alcohol from the staff and so much noise from the staff that it seemed like a bar where they talk about football. If you stop to look at famous waiters putting their hands everywhere from their hair to their lower body, I was very disappointed. The basics are missing, perhaps the owners are novices. They are people who don't accept reality. If you talk about their dive and some problems, they get angry and offend you, as happened to my partner. A place I don't recommend. 👎👎👎

La Locanda in Nordstetten is a very pleasant Italian restaurant with a warm, almost familial atmosphere. The service is outstanding – attentive, friendly, and unobtrusive. You feel welcome from the moment you arrive. The food was excellent. I had Tagliatelle Mare e Monti – perfectly cooked pasta, a wonderfully balanced and aromatic flavor, fresh seafood and mushrooms, all very harmonious. My husband had Tortellini al Forno – beautifully creamy, savory, and perfectly baked. A thoroughly enjoyable evening with excellent cuisine and great service. La Locanda is highly recommended – we will definitely be back! 🇮🇹🍝✨

Mixed salad, cappuccino pizza, and two beers cost €29 plus tip. That's a normal price these days. The service was very attentive and handled everything well despite two large events. The food was delicious and the portions were perfectly adequate. The pizzeria is run by real Italians, which is evident in the quality. I've been there twice now and have been satisfied both times.

I've been there several times, I've eaten various things there from meat to pizzas to salads, etc. Everything was excellent, I'd say abundant and very tasty dishes. The restaurant is welcoming and has a family atmosphere that puts you in a good mood, you really feel like you're at home. The restaurant is family-run and this makes it special. The staff is courteous, the owner is courteous and manages everything with professionalism and experience, you can really see that she loves her job!!!! Do I recommend it? Of course I highly recommend it.

This was my first time here and I was very pleasantly surprised. Without a reservation, it's a risk, even during the week, but we were lucky to get a table for two. The atmosphere is rustic and welcoming, and the pizza Ortolano made me feel like I was in Italy. Delicious! Friendly service. A very friendly welcome right at the entrance. We had a reservation and were immediately shown to our table. The manager took our order herself, and we didn't have to wait long for the food. The portions and taste were excellent. The price/quality ratio was excellent; highly recommended. We'd be happy to return anytime.

Tomato soup as a starter is perfect, the Spezi (a popular German soft drink) isn't your average Spezi, but it's not too special either. The seafood is also great, and the pizza dough is excellent.

We went to dinner yesterday. My pizza had a scant topping, burnt edges, and was therefore difficult to cut. My husband ordered ravioli al porcino. He got a very small portion, more like an appetizer. The whole thing was tasteless and had a rubbery texture, and all for 18 euros. Unfortunately, we didn't take a picture.

I ordered pizzas to go. Both were 2mm thin, very hard, and extremely poorly prepared. The entire topping was just a handful, thrown in the middle. €12 per pizza was a hefty price tag.

We were here for dinner with 13 people on a Tuesday evening. Friendly, warm and courteous welcome. The menu is manageable, but everyone will find something. We chose Scalopina with Gorgonzola sauce and Pizza Hawaii. Both dishes were very rich and very tasty. The restaurant is very rustic but still very comfortable. The outdoor area also invites you to linger. The food came to everyone at the same time. The Scalopina also came with a small side salad. Afterwards there were two more espressos. We were pleasantly surprised and will definitely be back soon. 🍀👍 Price performance is appropriate.

Very good pizza, with good vegetarian options (e.g. Ortolana). Antipasti platter plentiful and very tasty. Authentic pasta dishes. Wines on offer go well with the food. Homemade light and not too sweet tiramisu. Delicious espresso. We feel very comfortable in La Locanda. Alla prossima volta!

Siamo stati la prima volta in questo ristorante a gennaio e ci siamo trovati benissimo, pertanto siamo ritornati ieri sera per festeggiare il compleanno del figlio di mia moglie. Il locale grande, pulito e ben tenuto; è gestito da una famiglia italiana di origine calabrese; la proprietaria, il marito e tutto il personale sono gentilissimi, gioviali e professionali; conoscono l’arte di far sentire il cliente come fosse a casa propria, (se poi il cliente è italiano la sensazione è amplificata…). Con grande sorpresa, nonostante gli anni che sono in Germania, sono rimasti radicati alla vera cucina italiana, non cedendo ai gusti dei “ local people”. Le pizze sono ottime, sia per quanto riguarda la lievitazione della pasta, che la qualità dei prodotti e la farcitura, sicuramente di grand’ lunga meglio di molte pizze provate in Italia. Utilizzano solo prodotti italiani che si fanno spedire direttamente dall’Italia e la qualità, un italiano, la nota subito nel momento che il piatto arriva in tavola. Posso dire che per lavoro o per diletto, ho avuto modo di viaggiare per tutta Europa e non solo, ho provato moltissimi ristoranti italiani, ma molto difficilmente si può trovare un ristorante come “La locanda”. Dimenticavo di informare coloro che come me girano con al seguito “un amico pelosetto”, il ristorante è Pet friendly e questo è un grande valore aggiunto!! Sicuramente, ogni volta che ritornerò in Germania, La Locanda sarà il mio ristorante di riferimento e mi sento, senza ombra di dubbio, di raccomandarlo a tutti coloro che capiteranno nella zona.

What can I say… a corner of Italy in Germany! I have been abroad for many years and I must say that it is difficult to find an Italian restaurant that remains rooted in Italian cuisine. The products they use are original Italian without “local contamination”. Professional staff, the owner is a very nice and cheerful staff who puts the customers at ease. Unfortunately I did not think to take photographs of the dishes, but I can assure you, as a good eater that I am, that they were truly valid. I returned home very satisfied for having found a restaurant that carries on the Italian culinary tradition, (without contamination), abroad. Surely when I return to Germany, it will be my point of reference when I want to try some good Italian dishes and also the pizza that they make very good, even better than many pizzerias in Italy. If you happen to be in the area, I recommend making a detour to try it… it is worth it

The service was friendly and the drinks and food came quickly. The restaurant was well attended. The lasagne and side salad were tasty, good standard. The pizza bread was plentiful, but very, very oily and therefore below average, also because of the dryness. Half of the vegetarian antipasti plate was warmed up frozen food. The rest was briefly fried with plenty of oil. The whole thing was sold for €15. There was nothing craftsmanship that would justify the price. The next table had the same dish, although this one had visibly more of everything on the plate.

Food is okay. Poor order taking. Not getting what was ordered or not getting what was ordered at all. When paying, the boss ended the topic with the sentence “it was stupid today”. Been there for the first and last time.

Cozy Italian with a beautiful view! The pizzas and salads were delicious. Unfortunately, we didn't think the pastas were tasty (Carbonara and pasta with mushrooms). You can sit here in the garden or indoors. Prices are fair and reasonable. We will definitely come back for the Pizza!

The visit to this pizzeria was very very disappointing. The service ignored us from start to finish and kept us waiting. I didn't like the food but that's a matter of taste. With the bruschetta the bread was very dry, no olive oil, garlic was completely missing, no fresh herbs. The only fresh thing on my pizza was the mushrooms and my ham had gristle.

I'm sorry about the 2 stars. When I was there the first time everything was perfect. Unfortunately the second time it was nothing We had grilled lamb, 2 pieces were burnt, 1 piece was gnarly and 1 piece was ok My pizza was nothing at all, the one with artichokes and porcini mushrooms, the artichokes and porcini mushrooms were like they were pulled out of water, had no taste at all, and the other toppings were missing. I let half go back. The only thing that was good was the salad that I made myself. It remains to be seen whether we will come again

You only get one star for the salad you recently served me, otherwise your food is always great. I ordered Insalata Tacchino as my main course for lunch. The salad then came and it felt like 2L of yoghurt sauce was poured over it, so much that you couldn't see the actual "salad". Then you buried four approx. 5 cm pieces of turkey underneath. Then I looked to see what else was on it. Except for one grated one Carrot and what felt like two sliced ​​onions and the rest filled up as a leaf salad, I found NOTHING else. But the biggest thing was the bill of €16 for such a "salad" is very, very cheeky considering that the person opposite me had pasta with salmon and only paid €15. Guys, something like this isn't worth the price and you should reconsider serving it.

Finally a real Italian restaurant where I can eat safely. We were passing through and had lunch here. There were interesting lunch menus, but for me there was gluten-free pasta off the menu. Nice service staff. I would visit again at any time if I am in the area. Another thing I would like to note are the clean toilets - really retro but very well maintained.
